Day 28
Jason had found Violets scroll in their tent and found a second scent that sent shivers down his spine.
Rhea.
Jason wasn't scared very easily thanks to growing up on the streets of Vale, but Rhea terrified him. Something wasn't right with her, and he didn't know what it was. They had only met her that once, and she didn't seem to care about Damian at all. It seemed like she was only acting like she cared so she could attack them.
Also, her eyes. He'd seen those eyes on a predator, maybe a snake, but that was it. She was dangerous, and either she knew it and relished in it or she didn't, and her mother didn't care.
Jason sniffed the scroll and followed the scent all over the place. Rhea was trying to throw him off their trail, but why?
Jason finally got to the end of the scent trail, but he didn't like where it led.
It led to what smelled like a dungeon.
He walked into the dungeon and saw two long rows of cells. 'Why would nomads need cells?' He asked himself.
He looked into each cell and saw a prisoner who would try and push away as far as they could from him.
They were terrified.
He saw scars and infections. Who would do this, and why?
He increased his hearing and heard laughter coming from the end of the hallway.
"Isn't this fun?"
There was silence.
"Answer me!"
There was the sound of metal cutting through flesh, and a whimper of pain.
"Say yes Rhea, this is fun."
There was more silence.
"Say that you're having fun! Right now!"
There was more silence.
"Did you pass out from pain or blood loss? Oh well. I'm going to get some of the healer's stuff, and I'll be back. Maybe I can get your brother. It shouldn't be too hard to get him down here, then I'll just use my Semblance to make him stay, and I can play with him too. Oh. I wonder if I can get Coal and Lavender to give me their baby. That will teach them to name their kid after you when I asked first."
Jason walked in front of the cell and stared in horror at the sight before him.
Violet was hanging from manacles hanging from the ceiling. Her clothes were ripped to shreds, and it looked like someone had taken a razor blade and cut her up. There were tears running down her face.
He looked over at Rhea and saw a maniacal smile on her face. She had bloody streaks all over her body, and what looked like drool dripping down her face. He sniffed the air and smelled lust rolling off her. She was a psychotic eighteen-year-old with no regard for human life.
"What did you do!" He yelled.
"I'm just playing with my toys." She whined as if she had just been scolded.
"WHAT!"
"Whenever I don't get my way I play with my toys."
Jason could feel bile rising in his throat, but he swallowed. "What's wrong with you?"
Rhea let her Sword whip fall. "You act like what I do is a bad thing."
"IT IS! She was only thirteen!"
"Relax. My youngest toy was two. He didn't give me his candy."
"YOU'RE INSANE!"
Rhea went to hit Violet again when the door was kicked off its hinges and Rhea was crushed between the wall and the door.
Jason walked into the cell and grabbed Violet before he grabbed the Manacles and ripped them out of the ceiling. "I'm sorry." Jason cried. "I'm so sorry."
Tears flowed freely from his eyes. "Please. Don't leave me. I can't lose you too."
Then he heard it. A heartbeat. A single heartbeat. Then another one.
"J-Jason." Violet said weakly.
"I'm here." Jason said feeling relief flood through him.
"I hurt. I don't want to die in pain."
"You're not going to die. I won't let you die."
"Please. Can you do something for me?"
"What is it?"
"Can you make it quick? Quick and painless."
"No. You're going to live. Please don't die." It felt like someone was ripping Jason's heart out of his chest.
Violet closed her eyes.
Jason created a shadow Clone. "Take her to Tai. Don't let her die."
The shadow clone nodded and took off.
Jason let all of his pain overcome him before he let it out in a raw, visceral scream.
The scream was followed by an Alpha pulse that was the most powerful pulse he'd let out yet. When he walked out of the cell his eyes were full of tears but filled with a rage that he hadn't felt in eight long years.
Two prisoners near the front of the cells listened in horror as someone at the end of the prison yelled in a pain that could only be felt by someone who had lost someone precious to them.
The two women looked at each other before one of them, a Cat Faunus, fell to her knees when a pulse of energy ripped through them.
The next thing they knew a figure ran past them with enough force that it knocked the doors off the hinges.
When they got outside, they saw chaos as a figure attacked the village Where they were held captive for so many years.
Jason had run out of the prison in three pressure wave powered steps and started his assault. 'They are all guilty! They didn't stop Rhea, and now Violet could die!'
Jason grabbed two of the Bandits? Villagers? He didn't care. They would pay.
He had just taken out a group of them when he was confronted by Talia.
"Is it true!" Talia demanded. "Did you Kill Rhea?"
"Yes." Jason said.
"Why!"
Jason thought about the prisoners and Violet. "She deserved it!"
Talia took her belt off and snapped it making a sword whip.
She wrapped it around her arm and pulled it coating it in a fluid that wasn't blood.
She swung the whip at Jason and cut his skin.
Jason wasn't wearing his armor, and the blade cut deep. Why hadn't he thought to put his armor on?
Talia kept swinging her sword whip in a deadly dance.
Jason couldn't counter Talia's attacks, and what's worse was that he could feel the poison coursing through his veins. He couldn't see how this could get worse.
Talia swung her sword whip and hit true to her mark.
Jason felt pain in his left eye and held his hand to it. When he brought it back, he saw blood?
He looked up and saw the sword whip coming right at him, and he couldn't stop it.
Talia cut Jason's right eye out.
Jason was so enraged that he didn't feel any pain when he lost his eyes. In fact, the first moment he realized something was wrong was when his eyes were open, but he couldn't see.
When he calmed down enough to realize what had happened the pain hit. He locked the pain behind a mental wall and continued the fight.
He heard the Sword whip whistling through the air, but couldn't track it, and he got hit in the back.
"I will make you pay for killing my daughter. I will slowly kill you, then I will hunt down your sister and finish the job Rhea started!"
Jason lashed out and grabbed the Sword whip. He felt the blades tear into his flesh, and the poison rush into his veins, but he locked the pain away and pulled Talia towards him. "Let me tell you one thing. You will never hurt Violet. Do you know why?"
"Why!" Talia demanded not realizing the danger she had put herself in.
Jason spun the Sword whip around and heard Talia groan in pain and pulled as hard as he could. "Because you're already dead."
There was a splattering sound that Jason didn't quite recognize. He dropped the Sword and fell to his knees. 'I'll rest here before moving on.'
There was the sound of a Sword leaving its sheath, and Jason wrapped his fist in Aura before lashing out at the attacker's feet.
He felt a rush of energy and heard whoever it was fall before hitting their head on the ground hard enough to crack it.
"Th-thank y-you f-for re-removing th-that c-curse fr-from me." Ra's' voice said before going silent.
'What curse?' Jason asked before passing out.
"And that's all I remember." Jason said when he finished his story. "The next thing I remember is waking up here, but not being able to see.
"Perhaps I can fill in the blanks." The woman who smelled like Yang and Ruby said.
"Who are you?" Jason asked in a haunted tone. "You smell like Yang and Ruby, but you're not."
"Oh." Tai said in a shaky voice. "Allow me to introduce my wife. Summer Rose."
Something felt off about the way Tai said that. Maybe it was because of how messed up he was right now. "Ruby's mom?" Jason asked instead.
"Yes." Summer said. "Though I claim Yang as my daughter too."
"You're a better mother than Raven." Jason said harshly.
"How so?"
"When Raven left and didn't come back that was of her own volition. You couldn't come back because... Wait. Were you in the Al Ghul prison all this time?"
"Yes, but fortunately Rhea never got to me." Summer said before realizing what she'd said. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to say that."
"Wait. How's Violet?"
"Let Summer tell you how you got home, and I'll tell you about Violet."
Jason nodded.
"After you freed us..." Summer began.
"What was that?" The Cat Faunus asked.
"I don't know, but we better find out." Summer said.
The two ran from the destroyed prison and saw chaos. There was a figure that was attacking the Village.
"Selina. Do you think that you can find Bruce? Maybe he can help."
"I'll see what I can do, but If I run into his wife, I'm killing her."
"Go right ahead. I'm going to follow the guy that saved us."
"You do realize that he killed one person in this prison already, what makes you think he won't kill you?"
"I have hope."
"Tell me how that works out for you." Selina said as she took off to find Bruce.
Summer ran towards the one person she hoped could get her back to her family.
Selina was running through the city when she was pulled into the shadows. She went to hit whoever it was when her attacker said. "Selina wait!"
"Bruce?" Selina asked as she was about to hit him.
"Yes. What are you doing here?"
"Your bitch of a wife threw me in prison."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah, and your daughters a psychopath. She's the reason that guy is attacking you."
"What guy?"
"I don't know. The guy who can run fast enough to break your prison."
"Jason?"
"If that's his name."
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no. What did Rhea do?"
"Wait. You knew about her?"
"Yes. Rhea is a bad seed, and Talia helped her grow into something sinister."
"Why didn't you stop her?"
I tried, but she said that I would focus on training Damian and she would train Rhea."
"How is Damian?" Selina asked fondly.
"He's dead. He died during the Fall of Beacon."
"Damian's dead? Beacon fell?"
"Yes. I'm sorry."
"How did you find out?"
"Jason told me... wait. Where is Jason?"
"On a rampage."
"What? I have to stop him." Bruce said running through the city.
He ran to Jason and Violets tent and saw their gear.
"Why did you stop here?" Selina asked.
"Grab their stuff. We have to get them out of here before Ra's finds out."
"Why are you so afraid of them?"
"Ra's can't die, and Talia's favorite way to kill people is to torture them to death by using poison to liquify their insides!"
"That's terrifying."
"Yes. We need to get Jason and Violet out of here before they find out."
"That might be a problem."
"Why?"
"Um. Unless Jason was crying over another person in the prison, I think that Violet is dead."
Bruce's face fell. "No. Please tell me you're lying?"
"Go check the prison."
Bruce and Selina grabbed Jason and Violets stuff before running towards the Prison.
Bruce ran into the Chaos caused by Jason and was stopped by Summer.
"Please! You have to help."
"What is it?" Bruce asked.
"A kid. He was fighting a woman and she hurt him badly."
"Is he dead?"
"I don't think so, but I'm not sure. A man with a Katana came up, and he knocked him down."
"Show me." Bruce said.
Summer took Bruce to where Jason was, and he saw Talia's body. Her head was missing.
"What did you do Jason?" He looked over and saw Ra's He was lying on his back with a fractured skull and lying in a pool of blood. "Oh no. Jason. What have you done?"
Three figures appeared from the shadows. Two women and a girl.
"What did you do to Jason?" A girl with Black hair that turned red the closer it got to the end asked.
"It wasn't us." Summer said a little too fast. "It was them." She pointed at Talia and Ra's.
The women looked at the corpses.
"Dad." The girl said shaking Jason's shoulder. "Dad, get up."
Bruce looked at the girl. Jason didn't seem old enough to have a kid.
"It's a long, convoluted story." A girl with long blond hair said.
"You need to get him out of here before Ra's wakes up."
The woman with Blond hair grabbed Jason's gear, and handed the girl Violets gear.
The girl with the black and red hair grabbed Jason. "We need to get him back to Patch. When he wakes up tell this Ra's that if he follows us, we will kill him for good."
"Wait." Summer said. "You're going to Patch?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"That's where my family live. You can take Jason there while he heals."
"We've got Tai's house."
"Taiyang Xiao Long?"
"Yeah."
"He's my husband."
Loki looked at the woman skeptically, almost like she was lying about that, but they didn't have time to argue. "Let's go then." She spoke.
Summer grabbed one of Jason's arms and helped carry him.
"And we brought you back here." Summer said.
"Did Ra's come to find us?"
"No. He hasn't come to find us yet."
"We can't let him find us."
"Don't worry." The Alpha said. "Ra's won't be coming for you."
'How do you know?'
"You took his Semblance."
'I did?'
"Yes, and it's quite impressive actually."
'What is it?'
"Lazarus. He can come back to life so long as his body is left intact. The only downside is that depending on the severity of the damage depends on how long he has to recuperate."
'So, he's immortal?'
"He was. That is until you took his Semblance."
"Wait you mean I'm immortal now!"
"What?" Summer asked startled. "I didn't say anything about immortality."
"No. Sorry. I..."
"It's fine." Tai said.
"What happened to Violet."
Day 30
Tai was sitting on his couch when he heard a knock on the door.
He answered the door and saw Jason holding... "Oh Gods. What happened to her?"
Jason handed Violet to Tai and fell to the floor before disappearing into shadows.
"A Shadow clone. No. What happened to Jason? Yang! I'm going to Doctor Greens. I don't know when I'll be back. If Loki and Coral get back before I do send them to her house." Tai yelled before running as fast as he could to Doctor Green's.
Yang was staring out the window when she heard her father yell about going to Doctor Greens. Doctor Green was a good doctor. She was her and Ruby's doctor, why would dad be going to her house?
She sent a text to Scott, and hoped it went through.
Vale.
Scott walked through the gates of Beacon. They were almost done. They had to clear Beacon of Grimm, including that Dragon Grimm, and they were good to go.
The other Huntsman had helped out a lot, and they were finally almost done.
Scott received a text. He thought it was Jose or Gale but saw that it was from Yang. 'Wow. I have great service here.' Then he read the text.
Y: Come home.
Scott blurred until he found Jose. "I need to get back to Yang. Somethings up."
"Then go Irmano. We will see you later."
"Thanks." Scott said before pointing the 'Bunker Buster' Down and shooting into the air.
When Scott got back to Patch, he ran into the house.
"What's wrong?" He asked when he ran into his and Yang's room.
"Dad just ran to Doctor Green's, and I don't know why."
"Do you want to go over there?"
"Dad said to send Loki and Coral to him."
"I left them at Beacon."
The door to the house opened followed by the others coming to him.
"What's wrong?" Gale asked.
"Loki, Coral. Head over to Doctor Greens house. Tai said he needed your help."
The two women ran towards the doctor's house because they knew that Tai wouldn't joke about that.
When they got to Doctor Green's house, they saw Tai waiting outside.
"What's wrong?" Loki asked.
"It's Violet. A Shadow Clone of Jason handed her to me and disappeared again."
"What's wrong with Violet?"
"I don't know. I'm waiting on Doctor Green to finish her examination."
"Where's Jason?"
"I don't know that either."
Coral grabbed Loki and held her. "Don't lose your shit. You need to calm down. Don't give everyone in Patch a nightmare."
Loki started breathing in and out and calmed down. "Okay. I'm good."
Loki and Coral walked into the doctor's house.
"What do you think you are doing in here?" A woman wearing red pants and a black long-sleeved turtleneck sweater demanded. She was older, probably later forties to early fifties. She had a pair of circular coke bottle glasses sitting on her nose. Her long greying pink hair was done up in a messy bun, and she gave off an aura of power that said she could kick your ass if she wanted to.
"I'm Violet's sister." Loki said hopefully.
"Oh." The woman said. "My name is Doctor Green. I'm sorry, but I need you to step outside while I proceed with the examination."
"But..."
"Come on babe." Coral said grabbing Loki's arm, and pulling her outside.
Loki and Coral paced in front of Tai, and the man watched the two out of worry and a hint of boredom.
An hour after Loki and Coral left, Doctor Green came out.
"What is it?" Loki asked in a nervous tone.
"I have good news and bad news." Doctor Green said sadly.
Coral recognized the doctor's tone. "The bad outweighs the good doesn't it?" She asked hoping against hope that she was wrong.
"That it does, and to avoid the risk of sounding heartless I will tell you the good news first."
"What is it?" Tai asked in breathless horror.
"She's alive."
"And the bad news?" Loki asked with tears stinging the corners of her eyes.
"She was tortured. From what I can tell she was hung from the ceiling and a razor was used to cut her body. It wasn't done in an attempt to get information; it was done to instruct or just to pass the time. It also looks as if she was sexually abused. She woke up during the examination and asked one question."
"What was that?" Tai asked in a voice that was trying to hide his anger and despair.
"She asked me to make the pain stop."
Loki fell to her knees and let out an anguish filled roar.
Coral had one hand over her mouth and another hand on Loki's shoulder while she cried.
Tai's hands were clenched into fists so tightly that his knuckles were white.
"I'm sorry." Doctor Green said. "I'm not a psychiatrist, and I suggest you get her to one quickly, but the physical scars aren't the worst problem."
"What can we do for her?" Tai asked as tears started rolling down his face.
"Make her comfortable." Doctor Green said. "That's all you can do. I've given her what I can, but the rest is up to her."
"You mean that she has to choose to live." Coral said.
"Sadly, yes."
Loki let out a rage filled roar that echoed throughout Patch.
Coral took Loki back to Tai's house.
When they got back to the house they were met by the others.
"What happened?" Scott asked.
Coral and Loki told the others what Doctor Green told them.
Scott was clenching his fists so tight that he was cracking his knuckles.
Gale was pale, and angry.
Jose was gripping his cane tightly, and if not for his Aura he would be hurting his hands.
Yang was leaning into Scott and crying.
The house was somber over the next couple of days. No one could bring themselves to talk about Violet without getting emotional.
The next day there was a knock at the door.
Day 31
Tai opened the door. "Scott! Loki! Help!"
The two ran to help Tai.
"Jason!" Loki yelled. When she saw the two women holding up her unconscious brother.
Scott grabbed Jason and carried him to the couch. "Who did this to him?" He asked.
A woman stood awkwardly in the doorway.
"Tai?" She asked.
"S-Summer?" Tai asked stumbling backwards.
"Yes. It's me." Summer said before passing out.
Tai ran forward and grabbed Summer before she hit the floor. "What happened to you?" He asked.
Tai took Summer to their bedroom and laid her on their bed. He trusted the others to look after Jason and the house.
Loki looked at Jason. She took his helmet off and screamed.
"What is it?" Coral asked before looking at Jason's face. His eyes had been cut out.
Yang heard Loki scream and came out of her room to see what was going on. "What happened?" She asked.
"Don't look luv." Scott said keeping her away from Jason.
"Tell me what happened."
"Someone hurt Jason really bad."
"Let me see!"
"No."
"Let her through." Coral said. "She will find out sooner or later. It might as well be now."
Scott stepped aside and let Yang go to Jason's side.
Yang looked at Jason's broken form in horror. It looked like someone had taken a knife and cut him to cause the most pain, and they had cut his eye's out. She dropped to her knees and started crying. "WHY!" She yelled.
Coral had gone to get Doctor Green and came back.
Doctor Green looked Jason over before disinfecting his wounds and wrapping them up. She put some gauze over his eye's before wrapping them. "Make sure that he gets plenty of rest. Do you mind if I check on Violet while I'm here?"
Doctor Green checked Violet and Summer while she was there.
"Tai. Summer won't be able to eat solid foods for a while. Make sure that she stays on a liquid diet until she can eat more solid foods. Understood?"
"Yes. Thank you so much."
"You're welcome. I'll be back here tomorrow to check on everyone."
Tai nodded before sitting down by Summers side.
Over the next few days Jason and summer slowly healed, but Violet was still fighting, and it looked like she might be losing.
"And that's what happened." Tai said to Jason.
Jason was silent for a long time.
"Jason." Summer said.
"Where's Violet?"
Tai grabbed Jason's arm and led him to the other bed.
Jason knelt down and grabbed Violet's hand. He could hear Violets heartbeat. It was slow, but steady. "I'm so sorry Violet. I'm so sorry that you got hurt because of my actions. I'm sorry that I didn't get to you in time. I know that this isn't fair of me to ask of you, but please. Come back. Come back to me. If you can't then I understand. I don't want you to be in anymore pain. So, if you can't come back..." Jason cried. "Then get some rest. You deserve it."
"J-Jason?" Violet asked weakly.
"I'm here." Jason replied sadly.
"I-I don't b-blame you f-for what h-happened. I-I know th-that you di-did everything y-you c-could, and I d-don't want to, b-but I-I don't know i-if I can k-keep going."
Jason could hear the struggle, and the pain in Violets voice. His heart broke as he spoke. "Then don't." He cried. "You've been through enough pain. Get some rest."
"Th-thank you." Violet said.
Jason listened as Violets heartbeat slowed until it stopped beating.
Jason broke down and started sobbing. He let all of his anguish out with his sobs.
Loki was sitting in the front room when she heard Jason start to cry. She ran to the room that Jason and Violet were sharing. When she got there her heart broke. She fell to her knees and started sobbing. Her brother was hurting, and her sister was dead. She felt a hand on her shoulder, but she didn't care. It was like Shira all over again.
Tai and Summer watched as Jason and Loki cried over the death of their sister. It hurt them so much to see them like this when there was nothing they could do.
Over the next week Jason, Loki, Coral, Tai, Summer, Scott, Yang, Gale, and Jose took care of the funeral arrangements, and were having a funeral by the end of the week.
Jason and Loki gave eulogies before they buried Violet.
The group cried, and mourned for the loss of their friend, sister, child.
The moment was ruined when the Grimm were attracted to their mourning.
Jason used his hearing to direct his path and killed Grimm with powerful kicks while the others used their weapons or fists to take them out.
When they went back to the house Jason put his battle gear on before heading for the docks.
"Where are you going?" Loki asked.
"I'm going to Vale. I need to vent."
"You're going to die, and I can't bury another sibling."
"THEN WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO!" Jason yelled completely consumed by his rage. "THE ONLY PEOPLE I CAN TAKE VIOLETS DEATH OUT ON ARE DEAD! THEY TOOK MY SISTER FROM ME, AND THEIR DEAD!"
"They took your eye's too." Loki said with tears in her eyes.
"SCREW MY EYES! I WOULD GIVE AWAY MY SIGHT, HELL ALL MY SENSES, IF IT MEANT I COULD GET VIOLET BACK!" Jason dropped to the ground. "I just want Violet back." He sobbed.
Loki walked forward and hugged Jason. "I know." She cooed. "I know." She rested her head on Jason's and cried with him.
AN: So a lot happened in this chapter. Summer has been alive this whole time, just locked in the Al Ghul prison. Jason finds Violet in a cell being tortured by Rhea, who is crazy and based off of Rhoda from Bad Seed. Jason loses his shit and goes on a rampage and kills Talia, and takes Ra's' Semblance before Ra's falls and cracks his skull on the floor. Jason loses his eye's thanks to Talia, and Violet succumbs to her injuries. The reason Jason didn't become even worse than when he lost Shira was because his mind was fully healed, and he is older, and able to process her death better than Shira's.
