Chapter 8 - Nora
While the ambrosia helped keep the dreams away for a little while, it didn't completely stop them. Piper could still get glimpses of them, while her brain went through other ones. It would have been nice if this was the state of her mind the entire night. But, Piper considered herself not that lucky. Once again the dream starts, but this time it feels a little strange and even warm, almost as if there is another presence with her.
Jason finally managed to get Clovis from his deep slumber, while also managing to not get himself falling asleep in the presence of the poppies in Hypnos cabin. He hoped Piper didn't start dreaming yet. Her face has been peaceful for a while, so he assumed that she was not facing those nightmares. But, occasionally he did see her getting tensed up. He left her hoping it would take a good twenty minutes until she started dreaming, but just trying to wake up Clovis took up about almost those entire twenty minutes. Then it took another five minutes to tell him what was going on with Piper and another five minutes for him to not fall asleep while listening. They finally made it to the infirmary, and thankfully Piper seemed to not have entered her dreams.
"Okay, Clovis, the second her forehead scrunches, you will be able to connect me into her dreams?" Jason asked turning towards Clovis.
"Yes. But, you have to fall asleep for that. So you try to take a nap. And when you fall asleep I will be able to connect you to her dreams. Just so you know you will not be able to talk to her in her dreams, and she can't see you. You might even see yourself if you are involved in the dream."
After another ten minutes, Jason was able to fall into his world of dreams. He then suddenly felt as if he was being hypnotized and then everything goes blank. Suddenly, he finds himself at a living room, that seems very familiar. He walks into the kitchen to find Piper getting some kitchenware from the tall cabinets. She suddenly drops a sky blue bowl which makes a soft abrupt thud.

Jason in Piper's dream will be bold
Jason could hear faint footsteps, making their way to the kitchen. He turns to see a little toddler with blond curly hair wrapped in a blue blanket.
She calls out "Mommy?"
Piper turns to look at that little figure.
Jason wondered if Piper was dreaming about a possible future or if it was just an imagination.
"Baby, Why did you wake up so early?" To that the little girl looks at that fallen bowl, but just shrugs.
"What's for beakfst?"
"Why don't you guess.." She asks kneeling down in front of her daughter.
"Pancakes?"
"How did you know?" Piper gasps dramatically.
"It's my favorite and you always make my favorite!"
Piper smiles at that and she hugs that little girl and gives her a kiss on the cheek. The little girl smiles.
"Nora, why don't you go wake daddy up?"
Jason follows Nora's tiny footsteps to see who it is. Was it him? Is she his daughter? They both looked the same. So, she must be their kid. Their kid. The thought of even thinking about his future family warmed his heart. (I warned you this story was fluffy.)
He follows her to see himself sprawled across the bed. Nora jumped on the bed to wake him up.
"Daddy! Daddy, daddy, daddy! Wake up!" Nora screams jumping up and down. Jason grabs her and starts to tickle her. She starts laughing, her voice so sweet.
"Did mommy wake you?" he asks.
To that she shakes her head and smiles. "I woke up maself." She says proudly.
"Look at you growing up! I don't want my baby girl to grow up so soon.." He says pouting.
"Don't be silly daddy, I will always be your baby girl." She says.
He then gets up from his bed and kneels down and gives her a kiss on the forehead.
"Now, did you brush your teeth?"
"uh-uh" she says shaking her head sideways.
"How about we both brush our teeth, and I will race you to the kitchen."
To that she gives a toothed grin and runs to her bathroom brushing past Piper who was standing near the doorway. Jason walks up to Piper and just holds her in his arms. They both look at their eyes for a few seconds until Jason whispers "I love you" into her ear. A sudden scream disrupts their moment and they run to Nora's bathroom to make sure she is okay.
Jason grabs his coin in the pocket just in case, which then turns into a sword when he flips it, while Piper stands near a monster half-woman and half-snake. Jason recalls her as "Lamia."
Lamia holds Nora in her arms with a evil smile on her face.
Piper tries to charmspeak the monster into freeing Nora who was wrapped in Lamia's arms. Lamia's snaky tail wraps around Nora's legs to stop her from kicking it. Nora tries to scream, tears flowing out of her eyes. Jason has his sword ready but is waiting for Nora to be at a safe distance, so she isn't harmed.
Jason tries to do something but remembers what Clovis said.
"Leave her alone!" Piper commands with her charmspeak.
When the monster unwraps Nora following Piper's command, Nora runs to Piper while Jason attacks the monster and manages to cut her tail.
"Beloved of Hera, troubles will continue!" she cackles staring at Nora before she vaporizes on the spot leaving a sulfuric smell.
The scene suddenly changes.
Piper is standing near the doorway holding Nora in her arms. Jason was getting his black suitcase, ready to leave for his work.
Piper worriedly glances at Jason. She doesn't want him to leave so soon, especially with the monster attack from a week ago.
"I will be back in two days girls." He says to the both of them.
He then turns to Piper "Everything will be alright! The magic border installment should help. Leo said it will work 24/7." He says then kisses Piper.
"Daddy, mommy stop! Ewww.." She says hiding her face away from them.
They both laugh at each other looking at their little girl. Although, Piper's worry is still evident in her eyes.
"She definitly didn't get your mother's traits." He says to Piper who smiles in response.
"Nora.." he says soothingly. She turns to look at him. Sky blue eyes meeting sky blue eyes.
"Daddy will be back in two days alright? I want you to be a good girl with mommy." He says and kisses her forehead. She nods.
He hugs the both of them before leaving.
The scene changes again
Nora and Piper are sitting at the couch watching Rapunzel when the doorbell rings.
"Can I open the door mommy?" Nora asks Piper.
"You can open the door, but I'm coming with you."
Nora opens the door to see Jason, while Piper follows her.
"Mommy it's daddy!" She says while letting him in.
"We missed you daddy." Nora says while she holds her arms out, signaling him to hold her up. Seeing Jason, Piper asks "jetlag? I will make you some coffee..you look a bit tired." She says going back to the kitchen.
She hears a scream and a large thud.
Piper yells "What did you drop this time?" as she gets the coffee mug from the cabinet. She goes to check on them, only to see a Jason transforming into a monster escaping from the front door, and an unconscious Nora on the ground. Piper quickly runs to Nora, her motherly instincts kicking in. She checks her head to see blood flowing from it.
"No...No..Nora, baby.." she screams crying.
Piper checks Nora's pulse, only to not even feel a beat.
Piper wakes up from her dream crying. She can't bear seeing this anymore. Suddenly, Jason's dreams go blank. He stirs awake to find a crying Piper next to him.
Jason goes to Piper hugging her tightly.
"She died. She can't die Jase." she mutters crying.
"I saw..." he says with his own sadness, glancing at Clovis whose eyes were starting to droop.
Okay so remember how I kept referring to the time 2:20, when Piper woke up in the past chapters. How do you think this time is linked to Nora? Is the vision Piper having real? Is it foreshadowing the future? Now that Jason knows what Piper has been going through, what will they do?
Last chapter I mentioned the relationship between Reyna and Piper to clear any of your thoughts. Reyna will not be a villain in this story. She deserves the best too!
If you are confused as to why Piper mentions Reyna and Jason possibly not being happy to Annabeth in the previous chapter, that was because it's Piper's way of thinking if Jason was not happy with their relationship then they don't have to face this possible future she has been dreaming.
