Team CFVY
Yatsuhashi looked up when his Scroll dinged.
He looked around and saw that the rest of Team CFVY had gotten a text as well. They looked at their scrolls in unison and saw the same thing.
The text was from Weiss to their group of friends.
The message only said one word.
Weiss Schnee: Help.
Team CFVY stopped what they were doing and grabbed their traveling packs.
They packed a spare outfit, which was really difficult for Coco, as well as the necessities and anything else they would need.
Yatsu grabbed one of his weapon care kits, field rations, dust coatings, two water bottles, and his copy of 'Heir to the Relics' book. It was a thick book with four books inside. It was about an unlikely group who is tasked with protecting the four relics that can be used to remake the world in the users' image. The main character decides that the relics are too powerful and throws them into the fires of Mt. Doom to destroy them.
Velvet made sure to pack plenty of Hard Light Dust, field rations, two water bottles, and the picture that her and Geoff had taken during the Vytal Festival. She put it in her copy of 'the Deadly Joke'. A graphic novel that Ruby had shown her about how one day can change one person's life for better or worse.
Fox made sure to pack the last of his specialty ammo he'd gotten for Christmas the previous year, two water bottles, field rations, and made sure to download the books he'd either bought or been given.
Coco packed extra Dust ammo, two water bottles, field rations, and her copy of 'Beauty and the Faunus'. A story about a girl who falls in love with a Faunus that is shunned by the villagers in a town full of humans. Velvet had recommended it to her because while most people in the book hate the Faunus the ending was worth it.
Coco reached into the closet and pulled out a box.
The other three members of Team CFVY watched with bated breath as Coco opened the box.
Coco pulled out Auburn's Bandolier and put it over her shoulder and tightened it before turning to the others.
With their bags packed they went to the Headmasters office and requested a leave of absence for a while.
When Team CFVY told Headmaster Theodore that they were leaving, he was concerned. "What do you mean? Why are you leaving?"
"A friend of ours sent us a text asking for help." Coco said. "She is not known for joking around or pulling pranks."
"Very well. I don't like this, but I will put your schooling on hold until you get back."
"Thank you for understanding." Velvet said.
"You're welcome. Now get going. The sooner you leave the sooner you get back."
Team CFVY bowed before leaving.
They took off in the direction of Atlas.
'Hold on Snow Queen.' Coco thought. 'We're on our way.'
Sun and Blake
Blake stretched awake listening to her joints pop.
She looked over and saw Sun sleeping in a chair leaning against the door.
She shook her head at him. "Good morning Sun." She spoke.
Sun fell out of his chair and face planted into the floor. "Hey what's this?" He asked tracing under the bed and pulling out a magazine.
He let out a scandalous gasp when he read the title. "You read play..."
Blake pulled the magazine out of Sun's hands.
Sun pulled it back and jumped out of Blake's reach.
Blake chased Sun around the room and finally tackled him onto her bed.
Kali.
Kali was making breakfast when she heard noises coming from Blake's room.
She dried her hands off and walked to Blakes room.
She was not expecting what she saw when she opened the door.
Blake and Sun were on Blake's bed, in the pajamas, but Sun was on all fours with Blake positioned in an awkward position behind him and was reaching up.
Blake and Sun looked up at Kali.
"Hi Mrs. B." Sun said with no shame at all.
Blake and Kali blushed crimson.
"It's not what it looks like!" Blake yelled.
"Um..." Kali said embarrassed. "Breakfast will be ready shortly." She said before closing the door.
"That was fun." Sun said before Blake pushed him onto the floor.
"Put it back." Blake said.
Sun slid the magazine back under the bed.
"Good. Now get out. I'm getting changed."
Sun ran back to his room and changed for the day.
When the two walked into the kitchen the atmosphere was tense.
Ghira looked at his daughter and her... boyfriend. He noticed that Kali blushed when she saw them. "What were you two doing this morning?" He asked.
"Nothing!" Blake almost yelled at the same time Sun said. "Playing around."
Blake face palmed while Kali looked away blushing and Ghira looked at Sun. "Playing... around?"
"Yeah. We were playing keep away."
Ghira had fond memories of him and Kali doing that, but didn't want his daughter doing that just yet... 'is this how Kali's father felt?' He asked himself.
"That's what you were doing?" Kali asked.
"Yup."
"Oh, thank the Brothers. I thought I walked in on you two being intimate."
"M-MOM!" Blake yelled blushing a red that would put Ruby's cloak to shame.
"I trust that you two weren't involved." Ghira said.
"Oh." Sun said. "We were involved..."
Ghira glared at Sun.
"...Involved in a game of keep away."
Blake face palmed.
"I see."
"There was no funny business." Sun said. "Just me trying to keep a smile on Blakes face."
Blake blushed at Sun's honesty.
Kali smiled and gave Ghira's hand a squeeze.
Ghira gave Kali's hand a squeeze back.
"So, what do you two have planned for today?" Kali asked.
"We are going to train with Ilia and the White Fang who are Loyal to the old ideals." Blake said. "I'm hoping that we can make a group that is willing to fight Adam and his twisted White Fang."
"That's good. I wish you guy's luck."
"Don't worry Mrs. B. Once people know the truth and know about the Alpha, I'm sure that they will want to join with us."
Blake felt a chill run down her spine at the mention of Jason.
"Blake." Sun said. "Do you still think that Jason is going to hurt you?"
"The last thing he said was that he was going to hunt Adam down. Adam will do anythin to get back at me for leaving him, and that includes tell Jason lies about me."
"But Jason knows you." Sun said. "He knows that you aren't a bad guy. You have nothing to worry about."
"I hope you are right."
"I would like to meet this Jason." Ghira said.
"He's Awesome Mr. B. I'm pretty sure you'll like him."
"I hope so. I don't know what I would do if I found out an Alpha was after my daughter."
"Well. I can tell you that if Jason were after Blake then no one on Menagerie would stand a chance against him, but seeing as he's not after Blake, I'm sure he'd love to sit down to tea or something."
"We will have to see."
"Thanks for breakfast mom." Blake said. "We will be back for lunch."
"You're welcome." Kali said. "See you soon."
Blake grabbed Sun's hand and dragged him outside.
Kali curled up into Ghira. "I want grandkids." She spoke.
Ghira was both shocked and not surprised. "When Blake finds a nice young man. I'm sure you will have an abundance of grandchildren."
"What's wrong with Sun?" Kali asked as Ghira took a sip of tea.
Ghira coughed up his tea and coughed as some went down the wrong tube. "What?" He asked after he cleared his airway and finished coughing. "What do you mean? The boy is a..."
"Don't even go there Ghira." Kali chided. "You know that they say that the daughter tries to find someone who reminds them of their father, and if Blake knew the trouble you got into when you were her age, she would see you in a completely different light."
Ghira thought back to his youth. "I was a handful, wasn't I?"
"What do you mean you were?" Kali asked. "You still are."
Ghira and Kali shared a chuckle.
"Maybe I am a little harsh on Sun."
"Maybe?" Kali asked in an accusatory tone.
"All right. I am a little harsh on Sun, but it's because I want to make sure that he's the right one for Blake."
"I'm sure he is. He stayed faithful to her after he was wrongfully accused. I'm sure he's the right choice for her."
"I hope you're right." Ghira said as he held Kali.
The two sat in a comfortable silence thinking about the future.
Geoff, Cliff, and Viridian
Geoff was sitting at his workbench in Atlas Academy when Viridian walked in.
"Happy birthday lad." Viridian said handing Geoff a box.
"What is this?"
"It's a birthday present."
"Thank ye."
"Open it."
"I think yer more excited than I am."
"Just open it ye daft fool!"
"Okay, okay." Geoff said placatingly.
He opened the box to see a pair of gloves and what looked like a bracer.
"What does it do?"
"Put the gloves on and give me yer weapon."
Geoff handed the 'Junkers Toolkit' to Viridian who unfolded it into the Halberd mode and put the bracer on the end and welded it into place.
"Now." He said holding the Halberd out. "Call yer weapon to ya."
Geoff held a gloved hand out and activated his aura.
The gravity dust hidden in the gloves activated and the 'Junkers Toolkit' flew into his hands.
"Wh-ha, ha!" Geoff yelled. "This is amazing!"
"I try lad." Viridian said buffing his nails on his shirt.
"Before I go nuts with this thing, I have a question ta ask ye."
"Go ahead."
Geoff deactivated the gloves and pulled out a blueprint.
Viridian looked at the Blueprints and smiled an evil smile. "If we build this then the Grimm wouldn't know what hit em."
"I also made this fer another reason."
"Why's that?"
"I refuse ta let another kingdom fall. I designed this to be the next Beacon of hope. When people see this flying overhead, they will know tha' they are safe."
"What're ye callin' it?"
"Beacon."
"Tha's not very..."
Viridian was interrupted when two soldiers walked by the workshop.
"Want to grab drinks after work?" One asked.
"Nah." The other said. "I heard that a new shipment of Rabbit Faunus is getting in tonight. All of them are trained and untainted if you catch my drift."
"Screw drinks. The chance to bang a virgin rabbit Faunus is too big to pass up."
Viridian sighed and shook his head before looking at Geoff. "Where'd ye go lad?"
Geoff had grabbed the 'Junkers Toolkit' and ran out of the room before throwing it at the guards cutting off their exit.
"What the hell dude?" One soldier said. "You could have..."
Geoff grabbed the soldier and pushed him into the wall. "What the hell is yer problem? Faunus are not objects ta be lusted after! They deserve ta be..."
"I suggest you let go of my friend you..." the second soldier said poking his sword into Geoff's back.
"I suggest ye drop tha' weapon." Viridian said stabbing 'Boom n Doom' into his back. "I have an itchy trigger finger, and no problem blastin' ya inta atoms."
"What's going on here!" Ironwood yelled.
"These two came and attacked us for no reason!" The soldier that Geoff held yelled.
"Is this true Geoff?"
"They were objectifyin' Faunus!" Geoff yelled.
Ironwood covered his face with his hand. "You two should know better than to talk about Faunus like that when you are on duty."
Geoff's ears burned with hate. "What?"
"While on duty they shouldn't talk like that."
"So. Ye are just goin' ta stand by and let them get away wit' it?"
"There isn't much I can do. This isn't a dictatorship. They have the ability to choose how they act."
Geoff grabbed the 'Junkers Toolkit' and smacked the soldier he'd confronted and stalked past Ironwood.
Viridian used his semblance to decrease the gravity in the soldier he'd confronted and used the melee Blacksmith hammer mode of 'Boom n Doom' to knock him into the other soldier. "Get out of my sight ye daft bastards." He said before following Geoff.
Ironwood pinched the bridge of his nose. "Why me?" He asked.
Geoff grabbed the Schematics for 'Beacon' and walked out.
Viridian followed Geoff back to the mansion.
When they got back Geoff walked to the mansion's armory and unfolded the Schematics.
"How are we goin' ta hide this from Ironwood?" Viridian asked.
"Leave that ta me."
Viridian took one look at the Schematics. 'How are ye goin' ta hide somethin' tha' massive lad?'
Cliff walked into the room. "Viridian." He said in a clipped tone.
"Yes Cliff?"
"Bob is here."
"Bob is here!" Viridian said in a happy tone.
"Yes. He's down in Mantle waiting for you."
Viridian ran out of the room as fast as he could muttering about seeing Bob again."
"He sure loves that Ursa." Geoff said.
"You have no idea Master Geoffrey." Cliff said before leaving.
Geoff clicked his tongue and went back to work.
Team SAPH, Yang, Coral and Loki.
When Loki got out of the bath she changed into a pair of pajamas and went into the bedroom.
She didn't notice the note on the nightstand.
Loki,
I'm sorry, but I need to clear my head. I'm sure that the time apart will give us time to explore our true feelings.
Love,
Coral.
Meanwhile outside
José, Scott, Gale, and Yang were walking around when they came across another Hunter Team.
"Hello." Scott said.
The largest of the Team nodded his head.
"Not very talkative." Yang noticed.
"We talk when Necessary, and with each other." The largest Team Member said. "We prefer to let our Reputation do the talking for us."
"We haven't heard of you." Gale said crossing his arms over his chest.
"I'm not surprised. We don't travel to the kingdom's much."
"Why not?" Scott asked.
"We..."
"We hate the kingdoms." A girl with a Scythe said. "They are completely useless."
"But aren't you guys Hunters?" Yang asked.
"No. We aren't."
"But you guys just said..."
"We have a reputation outside of the Kingdoms for being Hunters."
"I'm confused." Jose said. "You guys are Hunters, but you aren't Hunters, but you are Hunters. How does that work out?"
"We Hunt Grimm and other monsters." A small girl wearing a hoodie said.
"What other monsters are there out here?" Scott asked.
"Bandits, humans, etc."
"How are humans' monsters?"
The girl pulled her hoodie down and moved her hair out of the way to show a scar. "The monster who called himself my master did this to me to establish dominance..." Her voice became dark and cold. "...Now. Tell me. Why wouldn't you call him a monster?"
The four Hunters in training flinched away from her.
"I think she could give Jason a run for him money." Gale said.
"I don't know who this Jason is, but if he owns Faunus like slaves, I will kill him without mercy."
"No. No, no, no. Jason does not own Faunus. He is a Faunus and kills people on a semi regular basis."
"I think I like this Jason."
"You'll have to fight Weiss for him." Yang said.
"WEISS SCHNEE!" The girl began breathing heavily. "He's with a Schnee!"
"Yes, but not an evil Schnee. Weiss is trying to change her company, so they don't manipulate and hurt the Faunus."
"You don't know anything. The Schnee's will do anything to oppress the Faunus."
"I'm pretty sure Jason wouldn't be with her if she was willing to do that."
"What? Who is this Jason?"
"He's the Alpha." Scott said.
"Bullshit! The Alpha doesn't exist. It's a myth."
"No. The Alpha is very real, and we are his friends."
"What's an Alpha?" The girl with the Scythe asked.
"It's supposedly the ultimate Faunus. The one being in the world that can protect the Faunus… You can see how well that worked out."
"Hey!" Yang yelled. "Jason didn't know he was the Alpha until last year, and he protects everyone."
"He's not a very good Alpha then."
Yang punched her right fist into her left hand and activated her guns."
The Hunter Team took out their weapon. The largest Team Member shifted his Buster Sword causing it to fold out into a massive Buster Shield.
"You must be arrogant if you think you can beat us with only one mecha-shifting weapon." Gale said.
"It's not arrogance if it's right." The guy with the Buster Shield said.
Yang punched out at the girl with the Scythe.
Loki
Loki woke up and stretched. She looked over to the nightstand and saw Coral's note. She read it and bolted outside.
When she got outside, she saw Team SAPH and Yang lying in the center of town passed out.
"What happened?" She asked horrified.
Team RNJR, Jason, Weiss, Whitley, Pyrrha, and Qrow
Qrow woke up to see Team RNJR up and moving.
Jaune was sitting next to Pyrrha holding her hand.
Ruby was curled up next to Jason.
Ren and Nora were sitting together waiting for their friends to wake up.
"Is there anything you guys need?" Qrow asked stretching and popping his joints and vertebrae.
"We haven't eaten yet." Ruby said. "How long were we asleep?"
"Almost a week." Qrow said. "I'll see if I can get you guys something to eat."
"Thanks uncle Qrow."
Qrow left the room and found the Cafeteria.
He picked up pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, muffins, and ham.
When he got back to the room, he saw Whitley sitting up.
"You okay kid?"
"Yeah. Though I feel like I got hit by a bus."
"You've been asleep for a week. Your ribs were crushed, and you were exhausted."
"I suppose that I need to exercise. Otherwise, Jason will kick my ass."
"Jason works you pretty hard doesn't he?"
"Yeah, but he does it to make me stronger."
"He pushes himself hard, so it's only naturalization he would push his Team hard too."
"I don't mind it. At least it's not like day one."
"What was day one like?"
"I almost died."
Qrow chuckled. "Jason doesn't realize that not everyone is like him and Scott."
"That's what Geoff said."
Movement came from Weiss's bed, and she sat up.
"Where are we?" Weiss asked.
"You guys are in Haven Academy." Qrow said. "What's the last thing you remember?"
"Fighting a Grimm."
"Congratulations. You killed it, but you all lost consciousness, and Jason almost died thanks to Tyrian."
"Is Jason all right?"
"You tell me."
Weiss got out of bed and looked at Jason.
Ruby was curled up next to Jason.
Weiss walked over to Jason's bed and ran her hand through his hair.
Jason opened his eyes. "Have I ever told you how beautiful you are in the morning?"
"Only every day." Weiss said.
"That's good. I'd be a complete dick otherwise. You're possibly the most beautiful woman in the world."
Weiss blushed. "How much painkillers are you on?"
"I'm not on painkillers. I just miss you."
Weiss leaned over and kissed Jason.
Jason leaned into the kiss and breathed in Weiss's scent.
Qrow cleared his throat. "Wait until we are in the dorms you two."
Jason sat up and looked around. "I guess that we are lucky to be alive."
"Yes, you are." Qrow said. "Especially you. Tyrian's poison was liquifying your insides."
"Not good."
"Nope. Now eat up. After breakfast we will get the doctor in here to give you a clean Bill of health and we can get to the dorms."
"Good idea."
They finished Breakfast and waited for the Doctor to come in and check them over.
While they were waiting Pyrrha began moving.
"Pyrrha?" Jaune asked.
Pyrrha's eye's snapped open and auburn flames lit from the sides.
"What's happening?" Nora asked.
"Pyrrha is half Maiden." Jaune said. "Does that have something to do with it?"
"Yeah." Qrow said. "This is the power of the elements that the Maidens control."
"Can she control it?"
"She can learn to."
"Then let's get started."
"First things first." Jason said grabbing 'Scarlet' and slashing it open.
"I have questions." Qrow said.
"You're about to have more." Jason pointed into the portal.
Tai and Summer
Summer walked into Tai's room. "Hi Tai."
"Hey Summer. What's up?"
"We need to talk about what happened."
"Do you mean with the whole you being taken by the Al Ghul tribe or the whole lying to the kids?"
"Lying to the kids. I didn't like it. Especially after seeing Yang like that. How is she going to feel when she finds out?"
"She already knows that you aren't her biological mother. She calls you that out of respect."
"She found out?"
"Yeah. She knows that you're Ruby's mom."
"But the girls don't know that Qrow is Ruby's father."
Tai looked at Summer. "No. After you disappeared Qrow decided it would be better for everyone if he were the uncle because of his Semblance and the fact that he started drinking after you disappeared. It was better for everyone thinking that Ruby was our daughter."
Summer looked at Tai. "Thank you, but I have to make things right."
"We might want to take this slow. Ruby is already going to be shocked that you're alive, but to know that Qrow is her father might be more than she can handle."
"Right. We need to get to them, but how?"
A portal opened in front of them.
"What's Raven doing here?" Summer asked.
"I don't know." Tai said.
A figure started walking through the portal, and Qrow walked out.
"Hey Tai. I'm here to..." Qrow stopped when he saw Summer. "S-S-Summer? Is that you?"
"Hi Qrow." Summer said sheepishly.
Qrow picked Summer up and hugged his wife tightly. "Oh, Gods Summer!" He sobbed. "I thought I would never see you again."
Summer ran her fingers through Qrow's hair. "It's okay. I'm here. I'm back."
"I'll let you guys catch up..."
"Wait." Qrow said. "You guys need to come with me. I'll explain when we get there but come with me through this portal."
"Is Raven on the other side?"
"No, but Jason and Ruby are."
The two walked through the Portal into Haven Academy.
Salem
Tyrian crawled into his goddesses' castle.
"Mistress." He shuddered. "I am sorry. I failed you."
"What do you mean?" Salem asked in a low, calm voice.
"I went to bring you the Silver-Eyed Warrior, but someone interfered with my mission."
"Who interfered with your mission?"
"A man in a red hood. He was able to fight me as if he knew my every move. He ripped off my tail. My beautiful tail!"
"Tsk. Tsk." A low husky voice said from the shadows. "Poor, poor Tyrian."
"Show yourself." Salem said.
A man with pasty white skin walked from the shadows. He wore a purple trench coat. Under that he wore a bluish-grey shirt with a green vest, purple pinstripe pants, and a pair of black shoes. "Did the little arachnid lose his..."
Tyrian jumped at the man, but he teleported away.
"Sorry Tyrian. Does me referring to your tail as your ass still offend you?" The man pulled a pistol out and shot Tyrian with a cloud of greenish gas. "Salem." He said pointing out the door.
Salem walked out.
"Firewood." The man said bowing.
Cinder scowled at the man.
Tyrian began laughing from inhaling the gas when they left him in the room.
"Joker." Salem said. "I assume that you took Hazel's kill... again."
"Oh, I'm so sorry your majesty." Joker said in a mocking tone.
"How dare..."
Salem held her hand in front of Cinder to stop her. "Tell me what happened."
"I killed Shear Khan or whatever her name was and put Adam Tamura or whoever in charge of the White Fang. I don't know if he will be loyal to us, but I did tell him to sow some Chaos."
"What happened to Hazel?"
"I sent him on a wild Goose chase and told some random Hunters about him so he wouldn't feel so left out."
The door opened and Hazel walked in.
"Hazel." Salem said. "Report."
"I was unable to complete my mission my lady."
"I see. What is your report?"
"I was attacked by six skilled Hunters."
"Praise to lesser beings?" Joker asked. "How badly is your pride hurt?"
"No thanks to you clown." Hazel said.
"Moi!" Joker said in faux shock. "Why would I do something like that?"
"Why do you do anything?"
"FINALLY!" Joker yelled. "Someone finally gets it! I'd like to shake your hand." He said holding out his hand.
Hazel gripped Joker's hand, and when the electrical joy buzzer touched Hazel he barely flinched.
"Oh, ooh. Awkward. This never happens to me."
"What's to stop me from crushing you right here and now?"
Joker teleported away and out of Hazel's grasp. "I am notoriously hard to kill."
"I'm sure I could find a way."
"That's enough!" Salem said. "Both of you. Now. Joker. I want you to go after this person who tore off Tyrian's tail. I want him to know the consequences of defying us."
"Oh goody, goody. A new playmate. I wonder if he will put up more of a challenge than my other victims?"
"Just go." Salem said. The centuries had given her a great deal of patience, but damn did this man test them. He was more annoying than Ozpin, but unlike Ozpin this man seemed to be genuinely unkillable, so he was even more annoying.
"As you wish your worshipfulness." Joker said before leaving.
"Hazel." Salem said.
"Yes, my lady?"
"Go take care of Tyrian."
"Of course, my lady." Hazel said before leaving.
Cinder looked at Salem. "Why do you put up with that man?"
"Because Cinder." Salem said in a low tone. "He's useful."
With that Salem walked away leaving Cinder to contemplate that.
Bronze and Mocha.
Mocha was sitting at the Kitchen table in the apartment her and Bronze owned.
She found herself thinking to the past.
Years ago.
The gathering hall had been rearranged.
The large table and chairs had been moved out of the way, and a large platform was standing in the front of the room.
Garland and streamers were hanging from the ceiling and meeting in the middle.
Flowers were in twelve large vases around the room.
Large purple crystals were also positioned around the room giving it a vibrant atmosphere.
Bronze stood at the front of room waiting for Mocha. He wore a red tuxedo with a black rose on his lapel.
Wedding music began playing and the doors opened to show Mocha wearing a White dress and carrying black roses.
Mocha walked up to the front of the room and looked at a bewildered Bronze. "Is everything all right?"
"You look amazing." Bronze said breathlessly.
"Are you ready to begin?" Salem asked.
"Yes." Mocha said taking Bronze's arm.
"Do you Bronze, take Mocha as your wife to cherish, love, honor, and protect so long as you both live?"
"I do." Bronze said.
"And do you Mocha, take Bronze as your husband to cherish, love, honor, and protect so long as you both live?"
"I do." Mocha said.
"Then I pronounce you as Husband and Wife."
Bronze picked Mocha up and kissed her passionately.
"Please accept this as my Wedding gift." Salem said. "One of many."
Salem reached over to Mocha and unlocked her Aura.
Mocha was surrounded in a warm brown light that made her feel powerful.
Salem reached over to Bronze and unlocked his Aura.
Bronze was surrounded by an orange light that made him feel strong.
"Thank you, Ma'am." The couple said in unison.
"You're welcome. As I said that was the first of many wedding gifts, but that can wait until later."
Bronze took the hint and picked Mocha up carrying her out of the room bridal style, and to their room Salem had given them.
The next day.
Bronze and Mocha walked out to meet Salem.
"I trust you slept well." Salem said in a conversational tone.
"Yes. Thank you, Ma'am." Bronze said.
"I'm glad. After breakfast I will take you to the Armory and you will make your Weapon and Battle Gear. After that you will be trained to use them.
"Thank you, Ma'am." Mocha said.
They spent several days making their weapons, and training how to use them, and slowly the days turned into weeks, and the weeks into months, and the months into years.
They noticed after a while that they didn't age normally and brought it up to Salem.
"Yes. I know that you aren't aging normally." Salem said. "I changed you so you could live longer."
The couple looked at her.
"Thank you, Ma'am!" The two said excitedly.
"Are you not worried about this?"
"No Ma'am." Mocha said. "You've given us more time together."
Salem thought about that. She almost became envious of them but turned her envy into ire at the thought of Ozma.
"Ma'am?" Bronze asked.
"Not you." Salem said. "You remind me of myself when I was younger."
"What happened?" Mocha asked.
"We had something special, but unfortunately he wanted more than I was able to give him. He killed our daughters and left me all alone."
"HE WHAT!" Mocha yelled. "WHY WOULD HE DO THAT?"
"He allowed darkness to consume him."
"We will find him and destroy him."
"That will not be necessary."
"Ma'am?"
"I plan to recreate the world in my own image, and he will pay for what he did."
"Can we help?"
"Yes. You will need to travel to keep an eye on the outside world."
"It would be our pleasure Ma'am."
"Thank you. Was there anything else?"
"We just wanted to tell you the good news."
"News? What news?"
"We are expecting." Mocha said.
"You're with child? That's wonderful news!"
"Thank you, Ma'am."
"You can start your mission after the child is born."
"Thank you, Ma'am."
Nine months later.
Salem handed Mocha the baby girl. "What are you going to name her?"
Mocha looked at Bronze before the new parents said. "Cinder."
AN: So before you guys freak, let me just say that I wrote this before I watched Volume 8 so I had no idea what Cinder's backstory was. I actually prefer it this way to canon.
