She needs to cry, and let it all go. She cried it out and he did nothing but soothe her, by stroking her back. She loves when he does that; it almost puts her to sleep, every time.

When she's calm; he kisses the top of her head, something else he does that makes her smile. She looks up at him, and he hands her another tissue. She dries her eyes and blows her nose; as he continues to rub her back. When she's done he asks, "All better?" She nods and he kisses her lips lightly, and says, "Yes."

Afterwards, she lies back into his chest for a few more minutes and he holds her in silence. After a few minutes, she looks at him and says, "I'm sorry for not listening to you when you were trying to tell me about Shonda." He responds, "You don't have to be sorry Ker. You simply saw her differently than I did, and I respect that. I just didn't agree with it. But there's no reason to apologize to me." She smiles as she says, "You're too good to me." He smiles as he replies, "That's probably true." She laughs and hits him playfully, and they share a sweet kiss. The kiss breaks and they grin at each other, as she says, "I love you." He smiles as he replies, "I love you too. I'm sorry that you're left feeling this way. I know you liked her Ker, and she hurt you. I don't like that at all. But, I am very happy you stood up for yourself. That took guts."

She nods as she says, "Thank you. I just couldn't listen to her bullshit anymore. I felt like I was going to throw up, it really made me sick to listen to how twisted she is when it comes to love and relationships. I get not feeling you're a relationship type. But to look at all romantic relationships as a waste, or a power struggle, is just morbid and unhealthy." Tony nods in agreement as he says, "Which is why among other reasons; she's single."

Kerry agrees, that's true. She can't believe she fell for her foolishness; but she's happy the veil has been lifted, and she sees the light. She feels like she's shed several pounds; just in letting go of the influence she had on her thinking process. She smiles as she says, "Well, we know my mom will be happy we're on the outs." Tony nods and smiles, agreeing her mother doesn't approve of her friendship with Shonda either. She said herself that Shonda seemed too bossy and narcissistic. Making the friendship one sided; something Kerry can now concede to being true.

Wanting to clear the air with him; she asks, "Why were you calling me earlier anyway?" He sighs as he replies, "First I was calling to check on you; because I didn't know where you went. But, after a while I figured you went to talk to Shonda. And when you still weren't back by the time we decided on where to go for lunch, and who was going with us. I got worried about you."

She strokes his face as she says, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you worry." He lovingly replies, "Its fine. I get now why you didn't answer." She nods as she asks, "So out of curiosity; were you mad at me for making nice with Shonda in the meeting?" He sits back on the couch, and says, "Honestly, yes. I was irritated that you basically shushed me, when she deserved to be checked for that little tantrum she threw with Henry. Then you were nice to her, as if she deserved the benefit of the doubt, and she didn't."

Hearing him recall what happened; she too is irritated with herself. She sighs as she says, "I understand your point. At the time I really was trying to diffuse the situation. And I didn't want you two to end up waging world war three." He looks at her and asks, "Are you sure you weren't trying to make nice as you put it; to cushion your conversation you were planning to have with her later?"

She hates that he knows her so well, and she says, "Okay. Maybe that too." He smiles at her as he says, "Uhuh. I see you sneaky." She smiles in return as she says, "I wasn't being sneaky; I was just using what I could to make the situation easier for me. You know at the end of the day I just want there to be peace on set."

He nods as he says, "I get that Ker. But that's hard to do when you're polite and courteous, and the person you're dealing with is like a bull in a china shop." She has to admit he's right; you can't be kind and courteous to some people. You have to modify how you deal with them. So she nods as she says, "Touché. But that's over now. So that won't be a problem going forward." He replies, "I agree. Now that you've stood your ground. She's going to think twice before coming at you."

She's doubtful of his reply, and says, "But you've stood up to her too T. Why don't you think she'll come at me?" He sighs as he says, "Because your character is the centerpiece Ker, and my character is an accessory. I can be replaced." She hates to hear him say it; but she gets his point.

He sees her eyes sadden, and says, "Hey, no sadness. Whatever happens, happens. We talked about this." She nods as she says, "I know. But it doesn't mean I have to like hearing it." He agrees and says, "You're right. I'm sorry. I didn't think about it that way." She responds, "That's okay. I guess like Judy said we need to be prepared for something to happen. Since she knows we're on to her bullshit plot to keep us apart."

Tony says, "Yeah. We do. But we aren't going to let that limit us. Whatever scenes we have together; we make them work, and take them to the max as always. If she's going to write me out; it's going to be completely on her, and not on our performance." Kerry nods as she says, "I like that idea." He nods as he replies, "Good. Me too." They share another kiss, which settles them.

But their kiss is broken by the television restarting on its own; from her pausing it. They look at the screen, after both being surprised by the sound. They smile at each other and chuckle, once they realize what's going on. He then notices she's watching Independence Day. So, they decide to cuddle and watch the rest of the movie, and eat popcorn. Once Josie hops up on Kerry's lap, they are all set to watch the movie as a family.

Although Kerry is Intune with the movie; she can't help but think about what the conversation between Judy and Shonda must have been like. Her thoughts drift, thinking about it a bit further. She knows firsthand how out of hand conversations with Shonda can get. But she's sure Judy held her own; she's just a little disappointed she didn't get a chance to see how it went down.
