SmackDown Filming: August 9, 2011

"Guess who's got an Intercontinental Championship match tonight." Cody says as he walks in.

"You." Ted says with a laugh. "Rissa told us."

Cody gives me a small dirty look. "Couldn't let me do it?"

"Wow." I say. "Not even a thank you because I was the one who made that match."

"You can do that?"

"Technically, I have to get the idea approved, but I suggested it. You're welcome. You better win now, so I don't look bad."

"Will do. Ted, you'll be with me."

"Cool." Ted says.

"What else is on the agenda tonight?" Eve asks from the couch.

"I face The Great Khali." Randy says. "So I have to deal with both him and Jinder Mahal tonight."

"You mean we have to deal with both Khali and Jinder tonight." I comment.

"We? Are you sure?"

"Just because Beth is here tonight with Natalya doesn't mean I can't hangout at ringside for your match tonight."

"What if she comes after you?"

"She won't. She has a match. By the way, the Brand Split is probably over."

"Are you serious?" Randy asks.

"One hundred percent. Extra work time and hopefully extra cash."

"I'm here for that. Sign my paycheck, Rissa."

I roll my eyes. "I don't do the paychecks."

"I know. Anyway, you're coming to my match tonight?"

"Yes, sir."

"Okay. Maybe even up the odds by countering Jinder's interference."

"Already planning on it."

Ted gives a small laugh. "You'll be trying to hinder Jinder."

Ryse gives a laugh. "That's actually pretty funny."

I chuckle. "A little bit, but in all seriousness here, I'll hinder Jinder Mahal tonight, and the Brand Split is probably over. Also, SummerSlam is on Sunday. Is everyone on the same page here?"

Everyone nods.

"Good." I say. "Now, I gotta figure out what I'm wearing tonight."

"You are looking pretty good right now." Randy says as he deliberately looks me up and down. "Real damn good."

"Good enough for managing you?"

"Absolutely."

We all sat in the locker-room as Beth and Natalya took on AJ and Kaitlyn in a Tag Team match. I was barely paying attention until one thing I heard Michael Cole say during Beth and Natalya's entrance. Michael says something about Beth and Natalya wanting to be known as the DoD, Divas of Doom.

"The hell did he just say?" Ryse asks.

"That's such a rip-off." Eve says.

"Tell me that I'm hearing wrong, and they didn't do what I think they did." I mutter.

"You're not hearing wrong."

"Yeah. I heard it too." Ryse says.

"That's basically our name." I say, glaring at the TV.

"And it is our initials." Eve says.

I look at Randy. "You better keep your arms around me to keep me here because I'm probably gonna head out there and do something I'll probably get fined for if you don't."

Randy tightens his grip around me. "I'll keep you right here."

Beth hits AJ with a Glam Slam and pins her.

1…2…3!

"Here are your winners, Natalya and The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix!"

I continue to glare at the TV as I watch Natalya and Beth. "This isn't going to be over right after SummerSlam, no matter who wins, me or Beth."

Beth kicks Kaitlyn in the face and tosses AJ out of the ring. Natalya locks Kaitlyn in a Sharpshooter while Beth gets in Kaitlyn's face.

Eve gives me a concerned look.

I look back at Eve. "Bring your leather jacket on Monday. This doesn't end at SummerSlam."

Eve nods. "Got it."

Ryse looks at me. "I know this is even numbers right now, but if you two ever need a third during this, I'm here."

I smile. "Thanks."

Ryse, Eve, Randy, and I all watched from guerilla as Cody, with Ted in his corner, was wrestling Ezekiel Jackson for his Intercontinental Championship.

"I think Cody could do it." Ryse says. "Tonight seems like the night."

"Yeah." Eve says. "And I'm sure Ted is gonna do all that he can to help Cody out."

"Absolutely." I comment. "I think it's his time. I thought he deserved it, so that's why I pushed for this match so hard."

"He does deserve it." Randy says. "I helped show him the ropes, and he learned easily. Cody deserves everything he could get. I could see him being World Champion in the future."

"That would be nice."

Cody hits Ezekiel with the Cross Rhodes and pins him.

1…2…3!

"Oh my God!" Eve shouts as the rest of us get excited. "He did it!"

I nod with a huge smile on my face. "He sure did. So proud of Cody."

Randy nods as he puts an arm around me. "He did great."

"Just imagine if you get yours back on Sunday."

"If? You mean when."

"Okay, when."

Triple H walks past us with a smile. "Good choice, Marissa. Worked out really well."

I smile. "Thanks."

Cody and Ted make it backstage. Eve and Ryse run over to their respective significant others.

Randy smiles at me. "We helped those four. We did good."

"Yeah, but some of it was themselves." I kiss Randy on the cheek.

"Fair enough."

The other four approached us.

I hug Cody. "Congratulations!"

Cody hugs me back. "Thanks. Guess I owe you big time now. Don't I?"

"No, you don't. I just wanted to see you win."

"Oh. Okay. Thanks, Rissa."

"No problem."

I hear voices in my head

They council me

They understand

They talk to me…

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Making his way to the ring, being accompanied to the ring by Marissa, from Saint Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, Randy Orton!"

("Main Yash Hun" plays)

"Making his way to the ring, standing over seven feet tall, weighing in at 420 pounds, The Great Khali!"

I look at Randy as Khali, with Jinder Mahal behind him, makes his way down the ramp. "Please tell me you have somewhat of a plan for him at least."

Randy nods as he gently holds me close to him as Jinder and Khali enter the ring. "Absolutely. I do. Don't worry, babe. Just help like I asked."

"Okay." I nod before exiting the ring.

The referee gets between Randy and Jinder as he gets close to Randy and glares at both of us. The referee sends Jinder out of the ring, so he can start the match.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Randy and Khali lock up, and Khali immediately shoves Randy down to the ground. Randy recovers in the corner while Khali taunts to the crowd and Jinder is being loud at ringside.

Would it hurt for me to punch Jinder even if he doesn't interfere?

Khali comes after Randy, but Randy kicks him in the midsection and starts punching him. Khali grabs Randy and shoves him into the ropes before hitting Randy with a Clothesline. Randy rolls towards a corner, but Khali follows and stomps on Randy while Jinder is also dangerously close. I also move a little closer to survey the situation myself. The referee has to force Khali off of Randy. Jinder grabs Randy and attempts to choke him while Khali has the referee distracted.

I run over to help out Randy. Jinder laughs as he continues. I punch Jinder hard in the face. He releases Randy and falls to the floor. Randy gives me a small appreciative smile.

Khali gets Randy on the ropes and Clotheslines him to the outside of the ring. Jinder points at Randy, and Khali exits the ring to come after Randy. I slowly back away as I'm pretty close to Randy.

1!

I cringe as Khali hits Randy's head off of the steel steps.

2!

3!

Khali throws Randy into the other set of steel steps.

4!

Khali taunts to the crowd once more as I try to think of a way to help Randy out of this situation.

5!

Khali grabs Randy and throws him back into the ring. Khali climbs back into the ring behind Randy.

As Randy gets up, Khali chops him in the head. I groan as Randy falls straight back to the ground. Khali pins Randy.

1…2…kickout!

I smile as Jinder yells at the referee. Khali puts a nerve hold on Randy. I stress out about my husband's health as I hear his yells of pain as he is in the strong hold of The Great Khali. I move around, so Randy can see me as he starts to stand up. I give him a small nod.

Randy elbows out of the hold and starts punching Khali in the face. He hits Khali with a Dropkick. Khali lands in the ropes. Jinder is angry, and I realize Khali's arms are trapped in the ropes. I quickly move close enough to Randy to talk to him.

"His arms have him caught up in the ropes." I say quietly to Randy. "You are in a good spot right now. Do what you gotta do. If Jinder tries anymore interference, I'll take care of it."

Randy grins. "Thanks, babe."

Randy kicks Khali multiple times while Khali is still caught up in the ropes. Randy gets off of Khali to avoid disqualification. Jinder gets up on the apron. Randy goes to punch him, but Jinder blocks it. However, Jinder is too distracted by Randy to see me run over to pull him off of the apron, with him hitting his face on the way down. Randy gives me a high-five before Randy gets back on Khali, who has escaped the ropes, and DDTs him. Randy starts taunting and preparing to RKO Khali. When Khali gets up, Randy goes to RKO him, but he blocks it and grips on Randy's head. He throws Randy into a corner. Khali goes to chop Randy, but he takes too long. Randy kicks him in the gut instead.

Randy then hits Khali with a European Uppercut. Randy then runs and hits Khali with a RKO. Randy pins Khali.

1…2…3!

"Here is your winner, Randy Orton!"

I smile as Randy picks up the win going into SummerSlam. I run into the ring and hug him tightly. He pulls me close to him as he still sat on the ground. We get off of the ground, and I raise Randy's arm in the air.

Jinder glares at us while he and Khali were on the ramp. Randy chuckles and quickly pulls me into a kiss with him.
