Raw: August 15, 2011
I sat backstage with Randy. "I'm not wrestling tonight. This isn't your show. Why are we here?"
"So I can show off my World Heavyweight Championship." Randy says with a chuckle. "I would say we should just have sex while we're alone or something, but I just remembered that you said Stephanie was here tonight. I'm not risking her stopping by."
I laugh. "Me either. Maybe we can leave early or something."
"That would be nice. Damn, Rissa. You look fantastic."
I blush. "Thanks, honey."
Randy kisses me. "I love you, Rissa."
"I love you too."
"What movie should we watch tonight?"
"Dirty Dancing."
"Your favorite movie…I should've known you'd say that before I asked."
"It's a great movie."
"I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just saying I should've known."
"Yeah, you probably should have."
"Anyway, I'm taking you bowling on Wednesday. Don't ask questions. We're doing it."
"Is it a date?"
"That is the only acceptable question, and the answer is yes."
"Okay. There was something I wanted to ask you about."
"What is it?"
"Well, I was thinking that I should get ahold of Layla since she's injured and check up on her. I hear she's doing alright, so I was thinking maybe I could get her to our house for like a week. I remember being out with my knee injury last year and hating not being able to be around my friends. I want to give her an opportunity to do that."
Randy nods. "That's cool with me. Thanks for not just doing it though."
"Okay. Thanks, babe."
"Absolutely. Do you think Daniel would cash in his Money in the Bank on me?"
"If he's got a brain, no. He should know well enough that I'm more than willing to stop any attempts of cashing in on you."
"Thanks, babe."
We were all sitting in the locker-room, watching Raw. I was barely paying attention for the most part. Randy was playing with my hair, and it was making me want to fall asleep.
I know I want that girl so bad
I lie awake at night
And think of all the things that I would do
With a girl like that…
I look up at the TV screen. "Why is my theme song playing? I'm right here."
Beth, clearly dressed up like me, with a replica Divas Championship and Natalya, dressed like Eve, made their way down to the ring.
"You've gotta be kidding me." Eve mutters.
"They haven't said anything yet." I say quietly. "But you and I are so getting them back for this."
"Good."
The music stops, and Beth and Natalya grab microphones.
"Hello, WWE Universe." Beth says. "It is I, Marissa Orton, your WWE Divas Champion only because of a fluke victory over Beth Phoenix last night at SummerSlam."
Natalya laughs. "And I'm Eve Torres. You know, who's up Marissa's ass 24/7 because I can't be successful on my own."
Beth smiles at Natalya. "That's okay, Eve. Your dependency on me just feeds my already massive ego. Nothing wrong with that."
"You're right, Marissa. You know it's too bad that we don't have an opportunity to wrestle Beth and Natalya again because they'd kick our asses."
Beth laughs. "Oh absolutely, Eve. They'd prove that my victory over Beth last night was only a fluke, and I'd probably have to defend the Divas Championship against her again."
"Of course this time, you'd lose because Beth is amazing."
"Oh absolutely. You know our Divas of Domination glory days are over. Now, the only thing that I'd have to cling on to after I'd lose this to Beth is the fact that I'm a McMahon and my lackluster marriage to Randy Orton."
"Lackluster? Marissa, you could get a divorce from him."
Beth laughs. "Oh, Eve. You know I have to maintain the facade of my marriage to the world. I make too much money from it."
Natalya laughs. "I know, Marissa. You got to keep all of your mainstream publicity."
Randy looks at me. "Did they just suggest we have a fabricated marriage?"
I look back at him. "I think so. I'm playing smart and not confronting them right now, but don't worry. I'll get them back for this next week."
Beth laughs. "Anyway, Eve, we both know that we can never face Beth and Natalya again. We know we'd lose. They'd challenge us, but they know that we're too scared to accept because we'd lose."
Natalya smirks. "Yeah, Marissa. If we change our minds though, they would still wrestle us. They know that Beth Phoenix would beat you and take the Divas Championship. They know that Natalya could make me easily tap out to the Sharpshooter, and they know that the Divas of Doom are way better than the Divas of Domination."
Natalya and Beth drop their microphones as my theme song plays again, and they head backstage.
Eve looks at me. "Are we going to just let them walk all over us like that?"
I roll my eyes. "Absolutely not. Have your best Natalya impression ready for next week. We can do that too, and we can do it better."
Chelle looks at me. "Was that a thinly veiled challenge for a rematch from Beth?"
"I think so."
"Are you going to accept it?" Ryse says.
"Without a doubt. Probably make it for Night of Champions since every championship has to be defended there anyway. Plus, it's the next pay per view."
"That's next?" Cody asks. "I honestly didn't want to defend my Intercontinental Championship yet."
"Well, hopefully you can find a worthy challenger, Codes. Night of Champions is indeed next."
"I hope so too. Also, I hope you get Beth back really good."
"Trust me. We will get both Beth and Natalya back really good."
"Why do I feel this involves you being extra ridiculous?"
"Because it does. Does anyone know where I can get one of those muscle suits for costumes?"
"Why?" Ted asks.
"Just reasons."
Ted messes around on his phone for a few in silence before looking back at me. "Check your email. I'm about to send you a link. Get your muscle suit."
I laugh. "Thanks, Ted."
