I smiled at Chelle as I sat in the kitchen. "Man, it's so quiet."
Chelle shrugs as she cooks breakfast. "Well, the boys are gone. Eve and Ryse are still sleeping."
I nod. "Fair enough. I'm gonna miss you, but I'm mostly going to miss you cooking. I'm going to have to start cooking all the time again."
Chelle laughs. "Make the others cook."
"Let's be serious. Ryse is the only other one that could make good food."
"Educate Eve."
"That'd take time."
"Randy cooks decently."
I laugh. "You got jokes."
"He can. Stop giving him so much shit. He made the eggs one day a few weeks ago."
"Seriously? He made good eggs?"
"Yeah. Let him cook and show him how to do better. You'd make a man who can cook amazingly. That's gonna help a lot when you're pregnant."
I nod. "Fair enough."
"This is gonna be so weird. Both of us are going to be getting pregnant and having kids."
"I mean I'm already a stepmom."
"Yeah, but this is different. You have to give birth."
"Yeah. That and take time off work. How'd you get content with retiring?"
Chelle shrugs. "I was bored."
"Well, I want to have a baby. I just find it hard to wrap my mind around taking time off. I know I have to, but I just find it weird. WWE has been my life for the better part of seven years now. This is weird for me."
Chelle nods. "I think you'll be alright. You seem tense."
"Randy is mad because he's been attacked by Mark Henry these past two weeks on SmackDown. Eve is mad because she lost matches. I think their moods have rubbed off on me just a little bit."
"That sucks. I'm sure things will be alright."
I shrug. "I don't know. Mark got kind of close to me on Tuesday, and I was literally shaking."
"Why?"
"Fear. Randy was laid out. We know Mark isn't past putting his hands on me. He's not a guy that I can fight off. If it was Jay, I could fight him off. It's not though."
Chelle laughs. "I'm sure Jay wouldn't appreciate that comment."
"I haven't talked to him in a while."
"Oh. Food is done."
"Yay!"
I pull my car into the parking lot of the spa we are all going to for our girls day today. "So this is the place. I made our plans in advance. This is going to be fun."
Ryse looks at me. "What all are we doing here?"
"Massages, facials, and mani pedis."
"That sounds expensive."
"I already paid for it."
"That's still expensive."
"It's fine. It wasn't that bad. Plus, I got a small discount because I was friends with one of the girls who owns this spa in high school."
"Well, look at you using your connections."
I park my car. "Gotta do what you gotta do."
Chelle laughs. "You're being all fancy. Even used your Mercedes-Benz today."
I grin. "Well, I have to show it off. Randy bought it for me."
"Fair enough."
We all exit the car.
"By the way, I have to tell you something later, Rissa. Don't let me forget."
I nod. "Okay."
They split us up into two rooms for massages. I'm with Michelle for this.
The massage therapist starts massaging me. Michelle starts getting massaged as well.
"So…" I say. "What are you wanting to tell me?"
"Just that John and I got Tyler a birthday gift that we're going to leave here for him since we're going back to Florida. I just didn't want to say anything yet in front of Eve and Ryse." Chelle replies
"Are you going to tell them?"
"I want to. I just didn't want to tell them before this. Just in case it's a bad reaction from them. John is telling Ted and Cody today."
"Well, we can go to lunch later. Tell them then. There's no reason for them to have a bad reaction when it's my house that you're leaving."
"Okay. I'll tell them at lunch."
"Okay."
"I'm hoping I get pregnant soon."
"I hope you do too. Can I ask you something?"
"Of course. I'm your best friend. Ask away."
"Is it bad that I'm doubting a lot of things?"
"Doubting what things?"
"Like I'm doubting my importance at work."
"In what part of work?"
"Everything. I was all excited about being President of the Divas Division, but I don't feel like I get taken very seriously. I don't even get an office. When it comes to being Divas Champion, I've ended up managing more than actually wrestling. That's not what I wanted as champion. Then, it comes down to my job as President of the Divas Division. I don't feel like I have as much influence backstage as I should. I'm not saying that I should get total control, but I'm helping Triple H and being president of a whole division. I don't have the authority to give us more matches which would give more opportunity. There's definitely gender inequality at work, and it sucks because I should be able to fight that. We shouldn't only have one championship. There shouldn't only usually be one Divas match on a show. It's not right. I'm unhappy as a champion because I don't get to be represented as much as the male champions. Sometimes, I was only on TV for managing. It's just not fair."
"Well, get pregnant and start fighting for it while you can't compete."
"That's not a bad idea. I'm also nervous about trying to be a mom."
"Why?"
"I'm worried that I'm not going to be good at it. My mom wasn't around for basically my whole childhood, only for a little over three years. I barely remember that. Randy's mom is the closest thing I have to a mother. I worry that I won't be able to be a good mom. I want to be a good mom. I want to have Randy's babies. I'm just scared. I'm afraid I won't be able to be the mom that my kids will need."
"Well, I don't think you'll have a problem. You're great as a stepmom. You're the one in our friend group that makes sure that everyone is okay. You're always there to talk to. You take care of everyone, especially Randy. You're very maternal naturally and just don't realize it. If you ask me, I think you'll be an amazing mom."
"Well, thanks. For what it's worth, I think you'll be an amazing mom too."
"Thanks. I hope we are close in our pregnancies. We can take pictures together with our bumps."
I laugh. "Our kids can be baby besties."
"Definitely."
I pull into the parking lot of a sit-in restaurant. "Here. This place is good. Randy and I eat here sometimes."
"Okay." The girls say.
I park the car and open my door. "I think this has been a great day."
The girls exit the car.
Chelle smiles. "I think so too."
"Let's head in."
We all walk inside, sit down, and order food and drinks. Once our food and drinks arrive, we all look at each other.
"There's something I want to tell you guys." Chelle says.
I bite my lip, already knowing where this is going.
"Okay." Ryse gives Chelle a serious look. "What's going?"
"Well, John and I will not be staying here in Saint Louis with the rest of you after Night of Champions. We are going back home to Tampa to make trying for a baby easier on us. It makes no sense for us to be doing that here anyway. Rissa and Randy already knew. We just wanted to inform you as well, so you didn't think it had anything to do with any of you. John is supposed to tell Ted and Cody today too."
"Oh okay." Eve says.
Ryse smiles. "So all eight of us need to go out together like next week then."
"Actually I had an idea." I whisper.
"What is it?"
"Well, we're supposed to be in Buffalo for Night of Champions. I was thinking that we could travel there Thursday and spend the weekend there."
"Does Randy know yet?" Chelle asks.
"No, but it won't be hard to convince him."
"What's your plan?" Ryse asks.
"Obviously, Randy and I got together while we were in Buffalo a couple years ago. I actually wanted to go to the bar we started our relationship in…for sentimental reasons. Plus, Randy doesn't really tell me no anyway."
"He doesn't?"
I laugh. "No, everyone thinks he's the bossy one in our relationship, but it's really me. I think my inner businesswoman is coming out a lot. He's just like yes ma'am."
Chelle laughs. "He's your bitch."
I smile. "If you want to put it that way, sure."
"Show me your ways."
"I think I just do it."
"I gotta work on John."
I laugh. "Good luck with that."
Chelle smiles. "You're telling me."
I grab my phone. "Let's take a picture together."
"Okay."
I pull into the driveway. "The boys are back already? Damn."
"I thought they would be gone longer." Chelle comments.
I park the car. "You and me both. Is that my husband on the porch?"
"Looks like it."
"Great."
I exit the car. The girls follow suit. I lock the car. The girls head up onto the porch. I look at my Mercedes-Benz for a few before I head to the porch.
Chelle looks at me. "We're going to go inside. None of us want to watch your excessive PDA."
I roll my eyes. "Whatever. Go inside."
The girls go inside. I lay my head on Randy's lap.
Randy starts playing with my hair. "Hey."
I smile. "Hey."
"What did you do today?"
"Went to the spa and got lunch. What about you?"
"We went tool shopping."
I laugh. "Y'all are lame."
Randy laughs. "They are, but I'm not. I see you actually used your Mercedes-Benz today."
I look at Randy. "Well, this handsome man just bought it for me. I figured that he'd want me to use it. I'm not going to disappoint someone that handsome."
"Handsome? How handsome?"
"The most handsome man I've ever seen."
Randy smiles. "Be more descriptive."
"He's just so tall and strong and muscular. He's got these tattoo sleeves that are so cool. There are a lot of skull tattoos in his sleeves. I think tattoos are attractive, so it just makes me melt. And his beard…oh his beard. I love it."
Randy pulls me up into his lap to sit. "Oh come here."
"I love you." I whisper.
Randy smiles. "I love you too. You're so beautiful."
"Be more descriptive."
Randy laughs. "We'd be out here all night if I went through everything. I'll give you a few things though. Your eyes are so easy for me to get lost in. They are the perfect shade of dark blue and the way you look at me just makes me always want to get lost in those eyes. Your body is my favorite thing to touch, whether it be putting an arm around your shoulders or having my hands on your tiny hips. Your smile…your smile is absolutely beautiful. I honestly don't think I get to see it enough. I wish I could see it more. Sometimes I'm in a bad mood, and I just see that smile of yours. My mood changes instantly because it's the most beautiful smile. I'm happy I'm married to the woman whose smile it is."
I smile. "Thanks, Randy."
"And there it is. That beautiful smile."
"There's something I do want to ask you about though."
"Why did I know that was coming?" Randy laughs. "What is it?"
"Night of Champions is in Buffalo. You know that. We started dating in Buffalo too. The eight of us need to do something together before John and Chelle are split from us. So I was wondering if you would want to fly to Buffalo on Thursday, so we could spend the whole weekend there. We could all spend time together and basically I was thinking we could all go back to the bar that we were at when you and I decided to start dating. For my sentimental reasons. Do you like that idea?"
Randy kisses my forehead. "I think that's a wonderful idea. We can do that. Just make sure the others know."
"I already mentioned it to the girls. I just wanted your approval before booking our flight and hotel."
"Okay. Go right ahead."
We were all in the living room watching SmackDown on TV. Randy and I were curled up together on the loveseat. The others were spread out in various ways on our long couch.
Randy was getting tense as we were watching Mark Henry have an opening promo. Well, everyone else was watching it. I was not paying attention and was more worried about how tense Randy was. I turn to look at him. Randy glances at me and kisses my cheek. I turn my attention to the TV as I hear Zack Ryder's theme music.
We watch in silence until Mark Henry hits Zack Ryder with a World's Strongest Slam.
"Why don't I remember this from Tuesday?" I ask.
"I don't know." Randy replies. "But he said Beth was going to beat you, so I'm now required to kick Zack's ass."
I laugh. "I think that I can take Zack. Does he really need his ass kicked though? Maybe just spooked."
Randy shrugs. "Do what you need to do."
It was almost the end of SmackDown. We had watched all of the matches, except Randy's match against Cody, including Mark's match against Ezekiel Jackson.
The match starts on TV, and everyone is silent as we watch the match. Randy RKOs Cody and pins him to win the match.
"Here is your winner, Randy Orton!"
Mark Henry's theme music starts. Randy climbs over me and gets off of the loveseat to head upstairs. Everyone exchanges a confused look. I get up as well and walk upstairs. Randy is going to close our bedroom door when I make it into his sight.
Randy opens the door completely wide open and grabs me by the waist. "Come here, Rissa."
I wrap my arms around him. "Why do you think I followed you up here?"
Randy closes and locks the door. "Because neither of us want to watch that again."
I sigh. "Yeah. I was already stressed enough the first time."
"You were worried about me."
"Of course I was. I'm your wife. I want to make sure my man is okay. He was choking you with the steel chair."
Randy sits on our bed. "Yeah. It wasn't pretty. All I was worried about though was that I wouldn't be able to defend you."
I sit on his lap. "I know that, but make sure you defend yourself too. Plus, I'm slightly worried about your match against him at Night of Champions."
Randy nods. "I can defend myself. Whatever happens at Night of Champions happens. I just want to make sure you're safe."
"Well, I am."
"You can't blame me when I am watching my wife shaking out of fear while I'm getting choked out with a steel chair."
"I was shaking because we know he's not past putting his hands on me and you were laid out."
Randy kisses my head. "Well, don't you worry, Rissa. I'm going to be fine. You're going to be fine."
"At least tell me that you have a plan for Night of Champions."
"I do."
"Honestly?"
"Honestly, I do."
"Okay."
Randy grabs my hand. "Your nails look good."
"Thanks."
Randy smiles at me. "Do you just want to go to bed now?"
"Already?"
"I just don't want to go back downstairs."
"Oh, just let me have one of your t-shirts to sleep in."
Randy laughs. "You look adorable in my shirts. Let's go to bed."
