"Babeā¦" Randy says. "We're supposed to be there in thirteen minutes. Hurry up. We're going to be late."
I look at myself in the bathroom mirror. "It'll be fine. It was my idea. If we're a few minutes late, they can kiss my ass."
"How long are you going to take?"
"Not much longer. I just have to look perfect."
Randy walks into the bathroom. "Stop it. You look fine."
"I didn't say look fine."
"You look great. You don't need to mess with anything."
I roll my eyes. "I don't look perfect."
"Me either. But I think you do. What's the big issue?"
"It's where we started dating. I wanted pictures together. I have to look perfect. It's important to me."
Randy sighs. "You do look perfect, Marissa. You always look perfect."
I put away my makeup. "You know what? Sure, I guess this'll be fine. Even though you'd tell me that I look perfect while I'm in bed with no makeup, messy hair, and only wearing your t-shirt."
Randy laughs. "I find that attractive. My bad."
I walk out of the bathroom. "Okay. Where's my purse?"
"I've been holding it for twenty minutes."
"Oh. Thanks. Is my phone in there? I need my phone."
Randy nods. "I put it in here. Anything else?"
I kiss his cheek. "Nope. We can go now."
"Okay. Good. We're still going to be late though."
"Only by a few minutes. Chill, Randal."
Randy laughs. "I'll chill. Okay? Let's go now."
I grab his hand. "Let's go."
Randy and I exit the car.
"Took you two long enough." Chelle says.
I roll my eyes. "Shut up. It's only by a few minutes."
Randy laughs and grabs my waist. "And it was your fault."
I playfully smack him. "Don't throw me under the bus."
Randy shrugs. "Love you, Rissa."
"I love you too."
John looks at us. "Are we all good to go in yet?"
"Just let me and Randy get a couple pictures in front of the sign here first."
Chelle looks at me. "Hand me your phone to take some pictures."
I smile. "Here."
Randy holds out his phone. "Take mine too."
Ted takes Randy's phone. Randy and I stand in front of the sign for pictures.
"Okay." Chelle says. "We're all good."
"Wait." Randy says. "I need you two to take one more of us. Just give us a moment."
"One more?" I ask, confused.
Randy pulls me into a passionate kiss. "One more. Now."
I kiss him back. "Thanks, Randy."
"Absolutely. Now we're good."
Chelle and Ted nod and pass us our phones back.
John smiles. "Inside we go."
I walk into the bar very last behind all of my friends and husband. "It feels like it's been way longer than two years."
Randy looks back at me with a smile. "It's been two years and four months actually."
I look at Randy. "You know what I meant by that."
Randy laughs. "I did. Look. The table we sat at is open. We definitely have to sit there."
John looks at him. "I agree. Let's sit there."
We all walk over to our old table and sit down. John quickly orders a few drinks.
"This is so weird." Randy whispers.
"It really is." I reply before laying my head on his shoulder.
"Don't be tired already."
"I'm not. I just like laying my head on your shoulder."
Randy puts his arm around me. "Good."
We notice that the others have ordered a tray of shots.
"Talk about deja vu." I comment.
Randy laughs. "Would it be too much if I asked to take you up to the bar to get a couple rum and cokes?"
I smile. "I think I would like that."
Randy stands up and takes my hand. "Let's do it then. After that, I'll kick your ass in pool."
I laugh as I walk towards the bar with him. "We'll see about that."
"Are you challenging my pool game?"
"Maybe I am."
Randy looks at me as we make it up to order drinks. "I'm so gonna kick your ass, Rissa. Two rum and cokes, please."
I looked at Randy as he paid the bartender. "You won't be kicking my ass. I'll be kicking yours."
Randy laughs. "You wish."
I smiled as our drinks were handed to us. "I'm capable of kicking your ass."
Randy looked at me as we drank our drinks. "That's doubtful. Is it just me or does it feel way different now?"
"It does. Maybe because we don't do this so much anymore."
"Maybe. It could be because we're married now."
I finish my drink. "Are we too mature to do this a lot now? We used to do this all the time."
Randy shrugs. "Don't make me think that, Rissa. Two more please."
I look at Randy as he pays for our second drinks as they arrive. "It's a thought. It may not be true."
Randy sighs. "I hope it's not. I like doing this shit."
"Is that because it usually ends up with the two of us in bed?"
Randy laughs. "I can bed you without alcohol. I like doing this because we can just escape any and all stress for a while."
I look at Randy. "I don't know about that. I always have something on my mind."
Randy pulls me close. "I know. Kiss me."
"We're still at the front of the bar."
Randy picks me up and presses me against the wall. "What were you saying?"
I fail to keep a straight face. "Damn you, Randy. I make one comment and now I'm against the wall."
Randy smiles. "I love you. I love you so much."
I place a hand on his forearm. "I love you too, and I'll love you forever. I kind of want to just drop my Divas Championship, so we can do this whole baby making thing."
Randy laughs. "I understand where you're coming from, but keep it until someone actually beats you."
"I know."
Randy kisses me. I return the kiss.
"I wish we could get away from stress for longer than we will." I whisper.
Randy pulls me into a hug. "I know. Me too."
I place a hand on his face. "I love my job, but the stress is so much at times."
Randy smiles. "I understand exactly what you mean."
I look at Randy. "So you get it. Let's go back and drink with our friends now."
Randy smiles. "Let's do that. We've got two days until Night of Champions. I want to relax."
"Me too."
