Raw: September 26, 2011

"You know what's going to be nice?" I ask Randy.

"What?" Randy replies.

"Working tomorrow and then driving only twenty minutes to sleep in my own bed."

Randy laughs. "That's going to be amazing."

"On top of that, the others are staying in a hotel."

"I'm aware. I'm going to rock your world at home tomorrow night."

"Good. If we wanted to drive four hours, we could go home tonight."

"Ooh. I like that."

"Consider it done. If we make it home tonight, we can sleep in."

"I would love that."

I smile. "Good. Me too."

"Are you wrestling tonight?"

"I am."

"Who against?"

"Beth and Natalya in a Tag Team match."

"Teaming with Eve?"

"Yes, sir."

"Sounds fun. I have nothing."

"Oh how the tables have turned. That sucks for you."

"It really sucks. I can watch you though."

"Yeah. You can watch me kick ass."

"I sure can. This would be a good time to pay a visit to John Laurinaitis, but someone won't let me."

I shrug. "Sorry, Randy. Like I said, it's on the back burner."

"If you change your mind, I'm going to freak that man out."

"I don't doubt that."

"Are you going to accept Beth's challenge?"

"Yeah. Hell in a Cell is this Sunday. I'm accepting tonight."

"So doing it at the pay per view?"

"Yeah. Like I said, it's the last time too."

("Glamazon" plays)

"The following Divas Tag Team match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, the team of Natalya and The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix, the Divas of Doom!"

Beth grabs a microphone. "Before we start this Tag Team match, I would like to reiterate what I said last week. Hell in a Cell is this Sunday, and, unsurprisingly, I haven't heard from Marissa. I'm still the Number One Contender, and I demand that-"

I know I want that girl so bad

I lie awake at night

And think of all the things that I would do

With a girl like that…

I walk onto the stage with a microphone in my hand and Eve behind me. "Beth, I hear you loud and clear. I really do. I accept your challenge for Hell in a Cell, but it comes with a condition. This is your last time. When I retain at Hell in a Cell, you're done. You will get no more championship matches as long as I'm Divas Champion."

Beth laughs. "That's fine with me because I know you won't win. Let's up the ante, Marissa. Raise the stakes. Let's make this match a Last Diva Standing match. That way there is no question about who is the winner."

"You've got yourself a deal."

"Good."

Eve and I head towards the ring.

"And their opponents, the team of Eve Torres and the WWE Divas Champion, Marissa Orton!"

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Natalya and Eve start the match off. The two lock up, and Natalya gains the advantage. Natalya gets Eve into the corner and drives her shoulder into Eve's gut.

1!

2!

3!

4!

The referee forces Natalya off of Eve. Eve runs at Natalya, but Natalya takes her down with a Clothesline. Natalya locks Eve in a Sharpshooter. Eve struggles. Natalya drags her further away from the ropes. I run and knee Natalya to get her to release the hold. Beth runs in the ring and tosses me out before rolling out of the ring herself.

Beth goes to grab me, but I shove her away before hitting her with a hard right. Beth comes back with a hard right of her own. I fall, and Beth tosses me into the barricade.

When I finally make it back up and onto the apron, Natalya tags Beth in, and they double team Eve. Beth nails Eve with a hard Clothesline. Natalya pulls me off of the apron. I go to Superkick her, but she dodges it. She goes to Clothesline me, but I duck and hit her with a Roundhouse Kick. I watch as Beth throws Eve into the ring post before grabbing her for the Glam Slam. Beth hits the Glam Slam as Natalya tosses me into the steel steps. I hear the referee count.

1…2…3!

"Here are your winners, the Divas of Doom!"

I groan as I struggle to get up. Natalya and Beth exit the ring. I stare them down as I take back my Divas Championship.

I look at Randy as he hands me an ice pack. "Thank you."

Randy nods. "No problem. Are you alright?"

"I'm fine."

"Are you?"

I sigh. "No, I'm sore. I took a hit on steel steps."

"Well, change, and we can start driving home. I'll drive, and you can ice your back. Maybe take some medicine before we go too."

I stand up and start changing clothes. "That sounds like a plan."

"Okay. I have our bags anyway."

"Good. We're taking the tour bus for Hell in a Cell, right?"

"Yes, ma'am."

I finished changing clothes. "Okay. That's good. I'm going to sleep that whole time."

Randy chuckles. "Sure. I'll let you believe that for now."

"For now?"

"For now. Let's leave, Rissa."

"Okay, Randy."

Randy and I were walking towards the exit when we saw John Laurinaitis approaching us. Randy and I stop.

John looks at us. "Leaving?"

I look at John. "Not like we have anything else to do. We're four hours from my house. I'm going home."

"I didn't say that either of you could leave."

"You don't have to. Triple H already did."

"You need to stop trying to avoid my authority."

"I'm not trying to avoid your authority. We had this discussion at the SmackDown filming, Laurinaitis. You don't have any authority over me, and before you mention having authority over Randy, Triple H already gave us the permission to leave."

"Like I said, avoiding my authority."

I roll my eyes. "My back is sore, and I want to go home. I'm not going to stand here and argue with you. Like I said last week, if you want respect from me, you're going to have to respect me. Let's go, Randy."

Randy and I walk away without another word.

Randy and I were in our car, driving home. We had been in the car for about an hour, and we had barely spoken to each other. It was silent in our car, and I didn't like it one bit.

Randy broke the silence. "I swear I'm not saying that you can't do it. I think you can, but are you sure about defending your Divas Championship in a Last Man Standing match?"

I bite my lip. "I know that it's a lot, and it'll be difficult. I think I'm capable of winning though. If I win, Beth can't get any more championship matches as long as I'm still the champion."

Randy grabs my hand. "I know. It's just hard to win those matches. You have to lay your opponent out for the whole ten count to win. You're going to take a beating either way, no matter whether you win or lose that match."

"I understand that, and it's a price that I'm willing to pay if it means that it's done between me and Beth."

"Okay. If you're willing to pay the price, then do what you gotta do."

"I will. Plus, I have a pretty good person to give me advice on that."

"And who's that?"

"You. If I remember correctly, the first time you actually won the WWE Championship was in a Last Man Standing match. What was that? 2007?"

"No Mercy 2007, I had two WWE Championship reigns that night."

"But you were just rewarded one of them."

"That's not how I remember it."

"Well, that's how it happened."

Randy sighs. "Whatever. We're getting in the ring tomorrow."

"Our ring or the one at the arena?"

"Our ring, we don't want Beth eavesdropping on your strategy."

"Fair enough."
