Raw: October 3, 2011

I sat in the locker-room very unhappy. Obviously, my match with Beth last night was a pretty big reason, but another reason was that a large part of the roster was complaining about it being unsafe after Miz and R-Truth, who were fired, got involved in the WWE Championship Hell in a Cell match last night. This was making things backstage uncomfortable.

"When's Vengeance?" I ask Randy.

"I think Vengeance is October 23." Randy replies.

"Okay, that's cool. I think that's when I'm going to use my rematch clause. I'm pretty banged up from last night, and I want to be one hundred percent for that."

"Sounds like a plan."

"Do you have a match tonight?"

"Yes, I do. I'm facing Drew McIntyre."

"Damn, I won't be at ringside. I like Drew."

"Watch from guerilla, and you can talk to him after I beat him."

"Okay."

"How are you feeling today?"

"Sore, tired, and pissed off."

"That's bad news for Beth and Natalya because you'll be letting all of your hinges loose. Hell, you'll be acting like me."

I laugh. "And that means you understand. If I can't get my hands on Beth and Natalya soon, it'll be bad news for someone else."

"And who would that be?"

"I'm not sure. It could be John Laurinaitis. It could be Cody. It could be Jay or Dolph. Hell, it could be anyone who's pissed me off."

"I vote Laurinaitis or Cody. Actually, if it's Cody, we should get Ted and John, so we can all teach Cody a lesson."

"I like that. I think I'm going to go see Triple H."

"Why?"

"To see how he's handling all of this and set up my match at Vengeance."

"Okay. Be careful."

"I will."

I knock on the door to Triple H's office. I was not sure what kind of mood he was going to be in, so I didn't want to walk right in.

"It's open." Triple H says.

I open the door and walk into the office. "Hey."

Triple H looks at me. "Hey, I was hoping to see you. Close the door and sit down."

I do as told. "So…how's it going?"

"Well, I have a lawsuit from R-Truth and Miz and apparently Del Rio has joined in the lawsuit that some members of the roster are making against me."

"I never liked Del Rio."

"Yeah, I'll get it handled. I'm mainly worried about getting the whole issue with the roster feeling unsafe due to what happened with R-Truth and Miz under control."

"I can't blame you."

"How are you though? If I were you, I wouldn't be happy about how that match ended last night."

"I'm not. Honestly, that's part of the reason I'm here."

"Okay."

"I know that I said I was going to take time to try for a baby after losing the Divas Championship, but you saw that match. I can't have that be my last match for a while. Randy and I talked about it last night, and both of us think that I should use my rematch clause. Even if I lose, I can at least lose a better way. Go out a better way."

Triple H nods. "Honestly, I don't blame you at all. Say when, and it's done."

I smile. "I want it at Vengeance."

"Done. Anything else?"

"Can we make it so Natalya can't be around this time?"

"If I do that, then it'll look unfair."

"Then, ban Eve from ringside too. Hell, ban everyone. I just don't want Natalya around that match."

"Okay. I'll ban everyone from ringside. Do you want a stipulation? Beth did technically make the match Last Diva Standing. Now, it's your turn."

"Hmm…No Holds Barred? Can I do that?"

"Works for me. I'll let Beth know, and I'll make it clear that if anyone gets involved, they'll be suspended."

"Actually, can I tell Beth? I want to see her reaction myself."

"Sure. She and Natalya are in a Tag Team match and will be against The Bella Twins tonight. Tell her after that."

"Okay. Thank you. I'll let you tell everyone about not getting involved or being suspended."

"Okay. Have fun tonight."

"Thanks. Good luck."

I watch from guerilla as Beth hits Nikki Bella with a Glam Slam and pins her.

1…2…3!

"Here are your winners, the Glamazon, Beth Phoenix and Natalya, the Divas of Doom!"

Beth and Natalya celebrate in the ring. Beth grabs the Divas Championship and a microphone.

I know I want that girl so bad

I lie awake at night

And think of all the things that I would do

With a girl like that…

Before Beth can get a single word out, I walk out onto the stage with a microphone in my hand.

"Congratulations, Beth." I say as I look at her and Natalya from the stage. "Congratulations on winning this Tag Team match against the Bella Twins. Did you think I would be congratulating you for Hell in a Cell? Of course not. I only congratulate people who win on their own. You're going to go around and say that you were the better woman last night at Hell in a Cell, but the better woman would've been able to win on her own. Which is why I'm here, Beth. At Vengeance, I get my rematch against you for the Divas Championship. Don't worry, Natalya. I won't be leaving you out. If I were you, I'd be looking over my shoulder because you won't know when I'll decide to strike. You cost me the Divas Championship, so I'll decimate you. By the way, Beth, our match at Vengeance is No Holds Barred."

I drop the microphone as my theme song starts to play. I stare at both Beth and Natalya as they are having a quiet discussion and looking at me with worried looks.

Randy looks at me as I walk into our locker-room. "Did you see it?"

I give Randy a confused look. "See what?"

"What aired after you talked to Beth and Natalya." Chelle says from the doorway.

I look to see John and Chelle in the doorway. "Well, I didn't see it, but something tells me I should've and it's not good."

John sighs. "John Laurinaitis has talked Triple H into doing a vote of confidence from the roster."

"Oh no. This isn't good."

"It's not good at all. The roster is unhappy tonight and blaming Triple H for what happened with Miz and R-Truth last night."

"The roster is going to vote no confidence, and John Laurinaitis is going to use this to try to take power."

Ted walks in with Ryse and Eve behind him. "What are we going to do?"

"What do you mean what are we going to do?"

"We've gotta do something, Rissa. This can't happen."

"We can't stop it. We can only fight it."

"How?" John asks.

I shut and lock the door. "Okay. Let's get on the same page here. Is there anyone in this room who would oppose Triple H and how he has been doing as an authority figure?"

A silence falls over the group, and most of them glance at Eve.

Eve sighs. "I know Cody has sided with John Laurinaitis, but Cody's opinions and thoughts do not reflect my own."

I nod. "I understand. We can't stop this vote from happening, so I think all we can do is support Triple H. I don't know if it's required, but I'm not going out there for that vote. Chelle is retired. She can't be involved in it anyway. Ryse is pretty much retired. She'd probably be fine. I could probably get Randy out of trouble, but Eve, Ted, and John, I don't know about you three. If it's not required, you'd be fine, but if not…"

Someone knocks on the door. The seven of us exchange a look. I slowly unlock and open the door. Triple H is on the other side.

I look at him. "I assume we need to talk."

He nods. "We do. Who's in here right now?"

"All of my usual group of friends except Cody."

"We aren't including him." Ted comments.

Triple H laughs. "Good. Can I come in?"

I nod. "Of course."

He walks in and closes the door. "Well, as you all know, there's going to be a vote of confidence. You are not required to be there, but come if you want. Except you, Marissa. I hate to say it, but you shouldn't be out there."

"I wasn't going to go because I don't see it ending well, but why don't you want me there?"

"Because it puts you in a very complicated situation. You are a WWE Superstar, but you are also a McMahon technically. We're family, and you have power backstage. It'll look like you are picking to side with me over the rest of the roster if you go out there to support me. They'll turn on you too, and John will use that to take you out. I know it will be hard to make things end well with this vote of confidence, but I think I'll figure it out. You may have to take over for me for a little bit. As for the rest of you, that decision is up to you if you're on the roster of course. Sorry, Michelle."

Chelle laughs. "I'll keep Rissa company. Don't worry."

"Anyway, that is all I need to say. I'll see you guys later."

Triple H leaves. We all look at each other.

"I think the smart decision would be for all of us to stay back here." John comments.

I look at John. "It's up to all of you, but I agree. Plus, there's probably a few others staying uninvolved."

We all sat in mine and Randy's locker-room as Triple H was making his entrance for the vote of confidence. Someone knocks on the door.

"I thought everyone else was out there." Eve mutters.

"Guess not." I reply as I stand up to go to open the door. "I figured that there were at least a few others staying uninvolved."

I open the door. CM Punk and Sheamus are on the other side.

Punk smiles. "We figured you guys were hiding out somewhere to watch this."

I sigh. "I wouldn't miss it. I figured you'd want to let your opinions be known."

He laughs. "I do that weekly. I don't need to be involved with that vote. Unfortunately, we know how it's going to go. John Laurinaitis is the problem, not Triple H. We know that. Everyone that is out there doesn't know."

I nod. "You're right. Hey, Sheamus."

Sheamus smiles. "Hey. How are you holding up?"

"I'm alright."

"That's good to hear."

"Did you guys see anyone else staying back here?"

Punk shrugs. "Just a few stagehands."

I nod. "That's what I figured. If you two don't mind sitting on the floor, you can come join us to watch. Sorry, the couch and chairs are all taken."

"Okay."

Sheamus and Punk follow me inside the locker-room. They close the door and sit on the floor. Randy and Punk exchange a look as I sit back on the couch next to Randy to watch.

"I don't like this." I whisper.

"Me either." Randy replies as he holds me close.

We watch as Wade Barrett starts to complain about it being too unsafe.

"This man created the Nexus." Punk comments.

I roll my eyes. "He sure did."

A referee starts talking about being at danger from Superstars. After that, Beth starts to complain that Divas are at risk.

"Oh geez." I roll my eyes. "She's probably just trying to make excuses."

Jerry Lawler explains to Triple H that he thinks someone wants Triple H out of power and things like this will continue to happen until he is out of power. Christian then starts talking and declares that the roster is voting no confidence. The referee, Beth, and Jerry also declare no confidence. Jerry also then says that he is walking out. We all watch in silence as all of the WWE employees right outside of the ring walk out. This includes Superstars, referees, commentators, and cameramen. The last one to leave is Jim Ross.

John Laurinaitis then appears on stage and shakes his head in disapproval before heading backstage.

I turn off the TV in the locker-room. Everyone else looks at me.

"Asshole." I whisper.

Randy grabs me and pulls me even closer. "You'll figure something out."

"I hope so."
