SmackDown Filming: October 4, 2011
I walked through the halls of the arena. After last night's walk out, I was very tense. While the whole roster was in attendance tonight, things would get worse if they didn't change.
On top of all of that, Triple H isn't here tonight because he didn't want to risk another walk out. He put Teddy Long in charge and told me to help Teddy if necessary. I find Teddy's office and open the door. Teddy Long is in there, along with the last person I wanted to see right now, John Laurinaitis.
"Well, Teddy," John says. "If you need any sort of help, do let me know. We don't want things to end up like they did on Raw."
"That won't be necessary, Laurinaitis." I say. "That's why I'm here."
John looks at me. "Is that right?"
"It sure is."
John almost laughs. "Do you really think that you can help run a show?"
"I do actually."
John walks past me as he rolls his eyes. "We'll see how long that lasts."
"It'll last."
John chuckles and leaves, with the door closing behind him.
Teddy looks at me. "I can't stand him. How are you tonight?"
I sigh. "Honestly, I'm stressed out over everything that happened last night."
"I know what you mean."
"John Laurinaitis is getting what he wants."
Teddy nods. "And if it continues, after Triple H, either you or me is next."
"You're not wrong, but there's a difference between us and Triple H. Both of us already see what John Laurinaitis is doing."
"That's true. Anyway, I don't really have much for you, but let Randy know he is in the main event tonight. He is teaming up with Sheamus to take on Cody and Christian in a Tag Team match."
"I can do that."
"Good. If I need anything else, I'll let you know."
"Okay."
I enter my locker-room as Randy is lacing up his boots. "Hey."
"Hey, Rissa." Randy says with a smile. "How's it going?"
"Well, I think I had a battle of condescending comments with John Laurinaitis, and Teddy Long only has one thing for me to do."
"And what's that?"
"Tell you that you're in the main event tonight."
"What's the match?"
"You and Sheamus against Cody and Jay."
Randy nods. "That's sounding good. How's your back?"
I shrug. "Alright."
"Well, I guess it could be worse for you."
"Don't say that. I'm really stressed out."
"I know. What did John Laurinaitis say to you?"
"I told him I was here to help Teddy because he offered to with a very condescending tone. He was like really, we'll see how long that will last."
"Say the word, and I'll say something to him and kick his ass."
"Babe, you know we can't do that."
"We can. We'd just probably get in trouble."
"We would get in trouble. Can I ask you a question?"
"What's up? You have my full attention."
"I know we talked about this some last night. You said that you still supported Triple H, but what if we weren't married? Would you still support him? Or would you have joined the walk out?"
Randy gives me a serious look. "I would still support Triple H. I'm not supporting him because we're married. I'm supporting him because I know he's in the right. Even if I did have a problem with Triple H, I wouldn't have walked out. I would've been a man and taken it up with him personally."
I nod. "That's good to hear."
"We agree on this. Also, I think it's more important than ever right now that we stick together. Things obviously are getting way out of hand here at work right now. The two of us need to stick together. You see what Cody and Eve disagreeing is doing to them. We've got to avoid that and have each other's backs. We'll stick together and get shit done."
I smile. "We'll do exactly that."
Randy kisses my forehead. "Exactly that. Also, John Laurinaitis should know better. When someone doubts what you're capable of, you do it to spite them. You love spiting people."
"I do. Kick some ass tonight." I kiss Randy.
I watch Randy's match from a monitor backstage. I decided to stay in the back because of being sore because of Hell in a Cell.
Chelle walks up to me. "What's up?"
I shrug. "Not much. Watching Randy's match."
"Sounds fun."
"I wish I wasn't sore, so I could've managed him tonight."
"I understand. Anything else?"
"Not really much, but do you have any advice about trying for a baby? Ya know, just in case I don't win at Vengeance."
"Well, I'm not pregnant yet, but try to track your ovulation."
"I'll try. This is weird."
"What's weird?"
"Being in this weird gap. I'm not the Divas Champion, but not trying for a baby."
"Yeah, but you have a rematch."
"I know, but I'm only using my rematch clause because I'm not happy with the way my match at Hell in a Cell ended. If my match at Vengeance ends in a better way and I still lose, I'd be content and would practically jump into bed to try for a baby."
"Don't throw the match though."
"I won't, but I'm getting antsy and really want to try."
"I know. You'll get there. I'm excited about having a child."
"Me too, even though I have a stepdaughter already."
"A stepdaughter who loves you to pieces."
"Yeah. I'm sure she'd be excited for a sibling though."
"I'm sure she would. It'll be weird not hanging out as much."
"Yeah, but our kids are practically destined to be best friends."
"That's true. What are you going to do about John Laurinaitis?"
"If I can't beat him up, I'll fight him in other ways. Let's just say that."
"I would pay to see that."
Randy RKOs Cody and pins him.
1…2…3!
"Here are your winners, Sheamus and Randy Orton!"
I smile. "Look at him. What a stud."
"Didn't know you liked Sheamus like that." Chelle laughs.
I smack her arm. "Shut up. We both know I'm talking about Randy. Ugh. I just want to try for this baby soon."
