Judy winked as she said, "Good job. Oh and of course there's the gig with Disney, along with the Kimmel show you're doing next week. And, a host of red carpet events coming up too." Kerry responded, "Wow, a full push huh?" Judy replied, "Yes. We've got to sell it, and that starts with the public seeing you two as a couple and a complete family, and nothing says family like Disney."
After looking at the cover photo of his wife being kissed on by another man, his daughter's pacifier and bottle sitting within steps of said photo, and the idea of them being at Disney together, a place where he was dreaming of taking their little girl for her first time. His emotions bubbled over like a pot on the stove, as he said, "That's not happening!"
Both Judy and Kerry looked over at him almost forgetting he was in the room with him, due to him being so quiet. But, immediately they notice his rage, pure rage is on his face. Kerry quickly says, "Babe, what's wrong?" He should've calmed himself before responding, but he didn't. Instead he said, "What's wrong? You're joking right! The question is what's right? What's right with this situation?"
Kerry and Judy both are obviously unsure of what's happening in the moment, but both knew he was clearly angry beyond measure. Unsure of what to say in this instance, Judy allowed Kerry to responds, as she asked, "T, it's clear you're mad; but I don't get why you're so angry. Can you please just talk to me, instead of talking in riddles?"
Her frustration with what seems like a tirade from nowhere is evident and Judy is caught in the middle thinking, how she can escape this and quick. But before she can get the words out to dismiss herself; Tony said, "Bottom line, my wife and daughter aren't going to Disney Land with another man! Isa's first time at Disney won't be marred by this bullshit!" Despite them both understanding his reasoning, Kerry responded more to his anger than his words. As she said, "One, we are not property, like a wallet or a set of dammed keys. We are people! You can't own us. Two, I'm way too grown for anybody to tell me what I can and can't do, especially with a baby I birthed out of my womb, not even you have that right!"
Despite hearing her anger almost matching his, he replied, "The hell if I don't have the right to protect my child! When it comes to you, yeah you're right. You're grown, but as it pertains to Isa, she's innocent in all of this and I refuse to let her be a part of this mess unnecessarily." Kerry understood his point, but she still allowed her anger to rise as she interrupted as she said, "You can't just change the game up Tony! We have talked about this. Stop acting like this is new."
He replied, "No, that's not true! We talked about you and keeping your career on track. We talked about what you'd have to do to protect your career and it's longevity. We didn't talk about our child being used as a fucking prop! Ker, I won't have that. Its bad enough you're taking photos with him, and claiming him in interviews. That hurts, but I've dealt with that." She smirked as she said, "Given this tirade I think it's safe to say the jury's clearly out on that one, don't you think?"
Judy thought to herself, "Oh God." Clearly reaching his boiling point he stood up and said, "Do whatever the hell you want with him by your side publicly. But as for Isa, she's not making any more appearances. Oh, and just so that I'm clear, he'd better not ever utter a word about her being his child either, or trust me. He will regret that shit! She's not property, but her real birth certificate has my name on it, regardless of that fake one that was leaked! He's so worked up, he pauses. Because he feels the rage bottoming out to pain, as tears filled his eyes and he continued to say, "My dream of presenting my baby girl to the world has been delayed, but I will be dammed if I let another man claim her as his child publicly. That shit's not happening!"
The emotions of the moment were tremendous, and as if on cue. Isa's voice came through the baby monitor. Pissed off beyond belief with angry tears present; Tony stormed out of the room to check on his daughter.
Kerry and Judy were left to figure out where to go and what to do mentally with the plan. It was the heaviest exchange she and Tony had in front of anyone. With her being out of sorts, she couldn't think straight. So, Kerry and Judy ended the meeting and Kerry went for a walk.
Tony held Isa in his arms and from that moment he calmed down. He looked out the window and saw Kerry walking the trail behind their house. He watched her walk away as he was holding their daughter. And in that moment he felt conflicted. He'd said all he wanted to say, all that he needed to say, but was it fair to say it?
That was the question he pondered as he settled with his response. That's the very question he's honestly thought about over the last few days, which have bought him to this current moment.
He's now standing in the hallway looking at the monitor on the wall that shows the activity in the nursery. Kerry is still holding their baby girl, rocking her in her rocking chair that bears her name. The chair that he had specially made for his little girl.
Knowing they need to talk, but unsure of what to say, he stands there looking at his everything on that monitor, and hoping that he can somehow make it right. He searches his soul and after a few minutes he puts one foot in front of the other, he twists the door knob, and he walks inside.
When he enters the room Kerry's eyes open, and she sees her husband standing in the door way. Despite the noise of the creaking door, Isa doesn't move. They both marvel at how well she sleeps through anything and everything. Which is a god send with as spirited their conversations can get at times.
They both lay eyes on one another and as he approaches his wife and daughter, he feels unbelievable regret in his heart. When he reaches them, Kerry looks up at him, and he gets on his knees. She looks into his eyes and she sees from the start how sorry he is feeling. He too looks into her eyes and sees them full of sorrow and regret.
