Raw: October 24, 2011
I look at Eve. "How does this look?"
"You look fantastic." Eve replies.
"Thanks."
"Are you nervous?"
I nod. "A little bit."
"This is your last time managing Randy onscreen for a while."
"Yeah. It's still weird that I won't be onscreen for a while after this, but I'm content with that, knowing that I'll be doing that so I can bring a baby into the world."
"You're doing a wonderful thing. It's totally worth it. Where are Chelle and Ryse?"
I shrug. "I have no idea."
"They were supposed to join us in here."
"They will. Ryse has to do my hair and makeup. Chelle is probably caught up with John."
"Probably." Eve replies as someone knocks on the door. "That's probably them."
I open the door to come face-to-face with John Laurinaitis. "What are you doing here?"
"You have a Handicap match against Natalya and Beth Phoenix tonight." John Laurinaitis tells me sternly.
"No, I don't." I say with a small chuckle.
"You're an in-ring competitor. I'm the general manager of Raw. Yes, you do."
"Sounds like someone hasn't looked at their paperwork. Listen, Laurinaitis, since I lost last night, I'm officially on a leave of absence from in-ring competition. I'm managing Randy one last time tonight before I go fully offscreen. The higher-ups already agreed to that. I'm not a competitor, so I don't have any matches. Let alone a Handicap match."
John Laurinaitis rolls his eyes. "Whatever."
I sigh as he walks away. "What an asshole."
Eve laughs. "You're telling me."
I spot Chelle and Ryse right before I went to close the door. I let them in and shut the door behind us.
"You look great." Chelle says.
"Thanks." I reply. "Just pissed off John Laurinaitis."
"Is that anything new?"
I laugh. "I guess not."
Ryse sits me down to do my hair and makeup. "You are going to do just fine tonight."
"I hope so."
"What's Randy's match tonight?" Chelle asks.
"He is teaming up with Sheamus to take on Cody and Jay in a Tag Team match."
"Sounds fun."
"Yeah, he better win. I need to look good in my last onscreen appearance."
"I'm sure he will. Especially for you."
"He'll probably be fine. He works really well with Sheamus."
"Exactly. It'll be fine."
Eve smiles. "I'm sure Randy won't have a hard time with Cody anyway."
"Are you two still fighting?" Ryse asks.
"Yeah…"
"You guys need to work things out."
"I know that we need to, but I don't know how we're going to do it."
"Maybe just sit down and try to have a civilized conversation." I suggest.
"I guess I could try that. I don't know how well it'll work though."
"It'd be worth a shot at least."
"I know."
Ryse smiles. "You're all good."
I look at Ryse. "Thanks."
Chelle gives me a small smile. "You're beautiful."
"Thanks. I'm still a little nervous."
"Don't be. It's you. You're great at managing and you will be working with your husband. You'll be just fine."
"I hope so."
I find Randy and Sheamus in Catering. I smile and approach their table.
Randy pulls me right onto his lap. "Hey, beautiful. You look absolutely fantastic."
I smile and drape my arms over him. "Thank you. What are we up to?"
"Talking strategy for the Tag Team match."
"Oh. Did I interrupt?"
Sheamus laughs. "No, we just got it all figured out."
"Okay. That's good."
"Yeah, so this is your last time on TV for a while?"
I nod. "Sure is."
"May I ask why? I know you aren't injured."
"It's because she knows she can't beat me." Beth says as she and Natalya approach. "I just heard the news that you decided to step away from competing for a while."
Natalya laughs. "Guess she realized she couldn't beat you and decided to settle down and be a good little housewife for Randy."
I glare at the two women. "Listen, I'm not stepping out of the ring because I lost to you, Beth. I'm stepping out to do things that I personally have wanted to do for a while that I can't do if I'm competing. Things that you two, quite frankly, wouldn't understand. I'll still be around though. Next week, I'm fully off TV but will be backstage. I get to have the authority to make Divas matches. If I were you two, I wouldn't piss me off. By the way, Beth, I'll be back in the ring eventually, so keep that Divas Championship warm for me. Because if you're still the champion when I return to wrestling, the first thing I'll be doing is coming straight for you. Have a nice day, bitches."
Beth and Natalya both give me a dirty look before walking away. I smirk.
Sheamus gives me a serious look. "Is there a specific reason?"
I smile as I look at Randy. "We're trying for a baby."
It's a shame that lost their head
A careless man who could wind up dead
You wear your sin like it's some kind of prize
Too many lies, too many lies…
"And their opponents, first, from Dublin, Ireland, weighing in at 267 pounds, the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus!"
I hear voices in my head
They council me
They understand
They talk to me…
"And his partner, being accompanied to the ring by Marissa, from Saint Louis, Missouri, the Viper, Randy Orton!"
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Christian and Randy start things off. They lock up, and Christian hits Randy with a knee and a punch. Randy is Irish Whipped into the corner, but he bounces out and hits Christian with a Clothesline. Christian is Irish Whipped into the ropes and then gets hit with a Back Body Drop. Randy tags in Sheamus.
Sheamus enters the ring with a shoulder block to Christian. He pins Christian.
1…2…kickout!
Christian punches Sheamus and tags in Cody. Sheamus hits Cody with a Back Body Drop. Cody is punched on the chest and falls to the ground. Sheamus starts to climb the turnbuckle, but runs across the apron instead and jumps onto Christian. As Sheamus reenters the ring, Cody attacks Sheamus and goes for a pin.
1…2…kickout!
Cody locks in a Headlock on Sheamus. Sheamus escapes, and Cody tags in Christian.
Christian is in the ring with Sheamus and tries for the Killswitch. However, Sheamus counters it into a Side Slam. Randy gets the tag.
Randy hits his Scoop Slam. Christian gets back up to his feet and receives a Neckbreaker from Randy. Randy pins Christian.
1…2…kickout!
Randy places Christian on the apron, but Christian pulls Orton's neck down against the rope. As Christian tries to get back in the ring, Randy hits him with the draping DDT. Randy falls to the mat and pounds his fist to set up for the RKO. Cody tries to interfere, but he gets hit with an RKO. Christian rolls Randy into a pin.
1…2…kickout!
Cody gets the tag.
He attacks Randy's arms and neck before tagging in Christian back in.
Randy is stuck in a Headlock from Christian, but he manages to slowly get to his feet. Christian punches him in the gut. Randy finally escapes after a struggle and makes the tag to Sheamus. Christian tags in Cody as well.
I run over to check on Randy. Randy smiles at me to assure me that he's fine.
Sheamus comes in against Cody. Cody gets set up for the Celtic Cross, but Christian jumps onto the apron to distract Sheamus. Sheamus misses a Brogue Kick for Christian and gets hit with Rhodes Kick from Cody. All four men end up in the ring. Randy hits Christian with an RKO, but then he gets thrown out of the ring by Cody. Cody tries for another kick, but Sheamus kicks him while he is in the air. Sheamus hits Cody with the Celtic Cross and pins him.
1…2…3!
"Here are your winners, Sheamus and Randy Orton!"
Randy, Sheamus, and I celebrate in the ring.
I give Sheamus a tight hug. "Thank you."
Sheamus hugs me back. "Anytime, pal. You deserve one last good time."
I smile at Sheamus as I release him from my hug. Randy pulls me into a hug.
"I love you." I mumble.
Randy runs his fingers through my hair as he holds me tight and close. "I know. I love you too."
"We can't stay out here much longer. I might start crying. I don't want that on national television."
Randy laughs as he tilts my face up. "I know."
"This feels so weird."
"You're telling me." Randy kisses me.
I kiss him back as the crowd loudly cheers. Once we release the kiss, I grab both him and Sheamus to raise both of their arms in the air in celebration.
This was it. I was done being involved with anything in the ring.
