Raw: October 31, 2011
I walk into mine and Randy's locker-room. "I made a match for tonight."
Randy smiles at me. "Oh. What kind of match?"
"A Number One Contender Battle Royal. It's Halloween themed, which wasn't my choice, but I made it otherwise."
"That's cool. You got to do something."
"It's very cool."
"This wouldn't have anything to do with Beth and Natalya running their mouths, would it?"
"Maybe it does. Either way, they'd have to find a new Number One Contender anyway."
Randy laughs. "Fair enough. Someone needs a championship match at Survivor Series."
"Exactly, which is why I went ahead and scheduled this Battle Royal for tonight."
"Fair enough. I don't even think I have anything tonight."
"Maybe that's good. You have a Street Fight against Cody tomorrow."
"I see your point. Maybe you should tell Eve about it in advance."
"That wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm going to go do that. I might also go give myself the personal satisfaction of telling Beth about it myself."
"You do that."
I walk into Eve's locker-room. "Hey, Robin."
Eve laughs. "Hey, Batwoman."
I sit on her couch. "Anything interesting going on?"
Eve shrugs. "Not really. Cody and I are still fighting."
"Damn, that's a bummer."
"You're telling me. I'm so over fighting with him."
"I know. I'm sure you two will get through it."
"I hope so. We were supposed to move in together."
"Oh…like officially?"
Eve sighs. "Yeah."
"Well, I'm sure you'll get things figured out."
"I have to get them figured out somehow."
"Yeah, anyway, there's a Number One Contender Battle Royal tonight."
Eve's eyes light up. "Really?"
"Really. I made it myself. It got changed to a Halloween themed one though because, you know, entertaining the fans and all that."
"I don't even mind. I like this costume I'm wearing."
"That's good. Do you wanna roam around backstage so I can find Beth and tell her myself?"
Eve laughs. "Right behind you."
I walk to Catering with Eve. "We pull off these costumes really well."
Eve laughs. "We seriously do."
"Yeah, man, it feels weird not wrestling."
"I'm sure it does. How's Randy today?"
"Good. He doesn't have a match tonight though."
"Sounds like you can bond over something."
Beth and Natalya walk towards us. Eve and I exchange a look.
Beth looks at me. "Bummer you aren't wrestling, Marissa. I might have to go without defending my Divas Championship that I beat you for at pay per views now."
I give a smug look. "Oh, you didn't hear?"
"Didn't hear what?"
"There's a Number One Contender Battle Royal tonight, Beth. The winner faces you at Survivor Series. Have a nice day."
Beth and Natalya give me dirty looks before walking away.
I look at Eve. "Bitches."
Eve laughs. "You're telling me. Did that feel good?"
"That felt fantastic."
"It should."
"How are you feeling about the Battle Royal?"
"Pretty good honestly. You aren't in it, so I have a good chance to win it."
"That is true. Because I'd wreck everyone if I was in it.
Eve laughs. "Full of yourself much?"
"I'm just confident in my wrestling ability."
"Fair enough."
"Anything else going on?"
"Not that I know of. Ted was telling me that Ryse is up in Canada right now."
"Why?"
"I guess Morgan is due to give birth any time now."
"Oh damn. That just gives me more baby fever."
"Yeah, it feels crazy that they're gonna have three kids."
"I guess it's weird, but I'd have two if I was having a baby."
"What if you or Chelle had twins?"
"I don't know how I'd handle that. She probably could though."
Eve laughs. "She could, but what about John?"
I laugh. "That's a fair point."
I wrap my arms around Randy as we watch the Number One Contender Battle Royal from the TV in our locker-room. "These bitches are lucky I decided to try to have a baby."
Randy laughs as he pulls me onto his lap. "Yeah, you'd smoke all of them and then Beth too."
"I love your confidence."
"I helped train you. I'll have all the confidence in you."
"Fair enough."
"I don't like sitting backstage with nothing to do."
"Welcome to my world."
Randy gives me a serious look. "You're trying to get pregnant."
"I meant even before now, Randal, but whatever."
"Oh wow. You called me Randal."
"Was that sarcasm?"
"Yes, ma'am."
I smack Randy. "Shut up."
Eve wins the Battle Royal. I smile to myself.
"That's some good shit right there."
I nod as Kelly and Alicia join Eve to make sure Beth and Natalya don't gang up on Eve. "It is, and so is that."
"Yeah, tables have turned now."
"Now, they have the numbers and not the Divas of Doom."
"Mark one up for our friends tonight."
I run into Punk as I walk past John Laurinaitis's office. "Hey, you good?"
Punk sighs. "John Laurinaitis just refused to give me a championship match even though Alberto Del Rio screwed me. He said Del Rio has to grant it himself."
I shake my head. "Of course he did. Just saying, if I was in the position like it should've been, I would've granted it."
"Which is why I thought you should've been. You would've been fair."
"Yeah, you need to force Del Rio to give you the championship match."
"Trust me, I will. How's it going for you? With the whole staying backstage."
"I feel really weird about it, but you know why I am. It'll be an amazing thing in the end. Plus, I lost to Beth. Now, others can get opportunities."
"I see your point. I just can't stand the thought of being out for that long."
I nod. "I know what you mean. I think I'll get used to it eventually. It'll just take time."
Punk laughs. "Yeah, it will, and then, you'll pop out Randy Orton's offspring."
"Yeah, oh man, my child is going to be absolutely wild."
Punk snorts as he laughs. "Absolutely. I'll see you around."
I smile. "Bye."
