Raw: November 14, 2011
I pulled my hair up into a ponytail while I was alone in mine and Randy's locker-room. I, of course, didn't really have too much to do tonight, but Randy had a rematch against Wade Barrett after Wade raked Randy's eyes to win on last week's SmackDown. They would then be facing off again with their teams this Sunday at Survivor Series. Hopefully, Randy would be the one coming out on top between those two. I looked at myself in the mirror as I stood there. I had stopped dieting as much and had been exercising less since I decided to stop wrestling for a while. The locker-room door opened, and Randy entered.
"Hey, babe." I said as I continued to look at myself in the mirror, feeling like I had gained weight.
"Hey," Randy says as he pulls me to him. "What are we up to?"
"Wondering if I have gained weight."
"You haven't."
"Are you just saying that to keep me happy?"
"No, if you have gained any weight, it's not noticeable. You look the same to me."
"Really? I know I haven't been dieting and exercising as much, but I'm hoping to not gain significant weight until I'm pregnant."
"You don't look like you've gained any to me. If you somehow have, it couldn't have been more than a few pounds."
I smile. "Okay. What are you up to?"
"I figured out my entire Survivor Series team."
"That's cool. Who's on the team?"
"Sheamus, Sin Cara, Kofi Kingston, and Mason Ryan."
"Sounds like a well put together team you have there."
"It is, in my opinion at least. I also have heard that John Laurinaitis is openly supporting Team Barrett."
"You sound surprised about that."
"I thought general managers weren't supposed to show bias."
I laugh. "It's John Laurinaitis. He's far past that point. I wonder how busy he is today."
"Why?"
"I would like to be a pain in his ass."
"What if he gets someone to attack you like Kevin Nash attacked Triple H?"
"Haven't you heard? I'm untouchable while I'm staying away from the ring."
"Sounds good. Be a pain in his ass."
"That's the plan."
I sat in Catering, eating a piece of cake. I was alone at the table currently, full of boredom. I sighed to myself. I was always bored at work these days since I wasn't competing in the ring. Eve joined me at the table.
"Hey." I smiled at Eve.
Eve eats on some of her food. "Hey, what's up?"
"Being bored, the usual."
"Oh. I see. You really can't find anything to do?"
I shrug. "Not really. I'm considering going to be a pain to John Laurinaitis soon, but that's about it."
"Damn. That sucks."
"You're telling me. Why can't I just get pregnant already?"
"You've only been trying for a few weeks."
I sigh. "I know, but I just want it to happen already. We've only been trying since October 23. It's only November 14. Not even a month yet. I just want it."
"I'm sure it'll happen. It just takes time. Chelle still isn't either."
I sigh. "I know. I just want it so bad."
"Just be patient, Rissa. It'll happen."
I nod. "I'm going to try my best."
"That's all you can do, Rissa."
"I know."
Eve and I find Ted and John in guerilla. Randy would be around soon as his match against Wade Barrett was after the current segment, which was with Santino Marella and Kevin Nash.
"Why is Kevin Nash still around?" John asks.
I shrug. "Probably something to do with John Laurinaitis."
Ted laughs. "You're probably not wrong. How's Triple H doing?"
"He told me he's alright."
Wade Barrett walks into guerilla with the rest of his Survivor Series team, including Cody. Cody gives Eve a slightly dirty look. I see her send a similar look back at him.
"Are you two still fighting?" I ask Eve.
Eve rolls her eyes. "We are."
"Damn, did you try talking about it?"
Eve sighs. "It didn't really work."
"That sucks. Sorry to hear that."
"It is what it is."
Randy walked into guerilla and pulled me into his arms. "Hi, beautiful."
I smile. "Hi. Where's your team?"
"They should be in here any minute. I wanted to stop to see you first."
"Thanks. Miss you too, Randy." Ted comments.
Randy looks at Ted. "I wasn't talking to you, Ted."
"Damn."
I look at Randy. "Be careful out there, babe."
Randy kisses my forehead. "I will. My team just got in here. I'll see you after my match."
"Kick Wade's ass." I kiss Randy's cheek.
Randy lets go of me. "I will, beautiful. See you in a few."
I watch Randy walk away and join his Survivor Series team. Both Randy and Wade's teams head to the ring for the match between the two men.
John looks at me. "You two have such a good thing going on."
I smile as the bell rings to signal the start of the match. "I know. It feels really good. I'm excited about our plans to make our family bigger. I only see everything getting better for the two of us."
"That's good to hear."
Ted, Eve, John, and I stop and look as John Laurinaitis entered guerilla. Laurinaitis looked directly at the four of us before deciding to approach us.
Ted grabs my arm. "If you need to walk away from this, nudge me and I'll get us out of guerilla."
I smile. "Thanks, Ted."
John Laurinaitis stands next to me. "Looks like this is going to be a good match. Especially when Wade Barrett wins. How are we doing today?"
"What the hell do you want?" I ask.
"Just checking up on my roster. Figured I'd see how you're doing since you're not in the spotlight right now."
"That was by my own choice, Laurinaitis. I decided to step away from the ring for awhile."
"Why is that? Because Beth Phoenix kept kicking your ass?"
"Actually, if you look at records, I have way more wins against Beth than she does against me. If I wanted to be Divas Champion again, I would've been able to kick her ass. I have my own personal reasons, which quite frankly is none of your business."
"You are signed as a competitor. I think it is."
"I'm a person who holds a position of power in this company. My reasoning behind me stepping out of the ring for a while isn't your business."
"You do for now. It won't last long."
I give John Laurinaitis a dirty look as Ted grabs my arm. "I'm willing to bet that it lasts longer than you being Raw General Manager."
"You aren't the kind of person to take this as seriously as it should be. You couldn't handle it."
Ted starts to walk me away. "I'm hungry. Let's go get some food for Catering."
Eve and John (Cena) start to follow us as Ted and I go to leave guerilla.
"I'd watch what you're eating there, Marissa." John Laurinaitis snarkily comments. "Looks like you've gained some weight."
I stopped and went to turn around. Eve and Ted quickly grabbed me to get me out of guerilla as Cena turned to say something to Laurinaitis.
Ted and Eve got me into a nearby hallway to get some space.
"I'm gonna kick his ass." I mutter.
Eve pulls me into a hug. "Just calm down, Rissa. You know he just wants to get under your skin. He wants you to act out against him, so it looks like he's right."
"I know. Do I look like I've gained significant weight? I've been a little insecure about that. A little weight is fine, but I don't want to gain a lot until I'm pregnant. Randy and I talked about it earlier, but he claimed I don't."
"You don't."
"Yeah, you look the same as you've always looked." Ted says. "John Laurinaitis is just trying to get to you. Don't let him do that, bro."
I sigh. "I won't."
"Do you wanna head back to your locker-room?"
"Sure, will you two stay with me until Randy gets back? I might be tempted to head back to guerilla if I'm alone."
"Of course."
I sat in my locker-room with Ted and Eve as I played on my phone while waiting on Randy. I was angry and upset with John Laurinaitis. I shouldn't have let him get under my skin with his comment, but I did. I just wanted to get away from here. I looked up from my phone as the locker-room door opened. Randy entered the room.
Ted gets up. "I'm gonna head out now. See you around."
Eve also stands up. "I'll join you."
The two leave. Randy sits next to me.
I curled up into Randy as he put his arm around me. "Hi."
"Hey," Randy says as he puts his other hand on my knee. "The match ended in a no contest."
"I'm sorry to hear that, babe."
Randy shrugs. "We kicked his team's asses after the match. So what's all this that happened in guerilla while I was wrestling?"
"Who said something to you? What do you know?"
"Cena told me that Laurinaitis pissed you off and you needed to get out of guerilla before things got way out of hand."
I sigh. "Well, that's one way to put things."
"What'd the asshole do, baby girl?"
"He decided to stand with us while we were watching. Was making snarky comments about things. Tried to get all nosy about why I'm staying out of the ring. Things were getting bad, and Ted was getting me out of it by saying that we were going to Catering. Eve and Cena went to follow me and Ted, and Laurinaitis said that I should watch what I'm eating because it looks like I'm gaining weight. Eve and Ted got me out of there before I could retaliate, and Cena stayed and said something to Laurinaitis."
Randy balls up his fist. "You've gotta be kidding me."
"He's just trying to get under my skin, Randy. That's all. He probably didn't truly mean it."
Randy gets up to start changing into his normal clothes. "It doesn't matter if he meant it or not, Rissa. He shouldn't have said that to you either way. He's getting way out of line."
"He just wants me to act out against him."
"It doesn't mean he should be making those kinds of comments. Don't be making any excuses for him." Randy finishes changing and puts his gear and boots into his bag.
"I'm not making excuses. I just don't want to make it look like he was right about me."
Randy sighs. "I understand where you're coming from, sweetheart. Let's go."
"The show isn't over yet. You could get in trouble."
"Well, either I have a chance of getting in trouble for leaving a little early or I have a chance of getting in trouble for kicking John Laurinaitis's ass for making comments about my wife. I'll leave the decision up to you, Rissa."
I get up and grab my things. "Let's head out then."
