Raw: November 21, 2011
"That asshole pisses me off so bad." I say as I walk into my locker-room.
"What happened?" Randy asks me as he is messing with his phone.
"I had put a Divas match on this match card for tonight. It's not on there. Not a single Divas match is on there. Not one. Why? Because John Laurinaitis filled the match card to the brim. It's all Superstar matches, but guess which WWE Superstar didn't get a match tonight."
Randy rolls his eyes. "I didn't get a match tonight?"
"Nope. John Laurinaitis made sure the match I had made didn't make the match card and made sure you didn't have a match tonight."
"What an asshole. What matches are on tonight?"
"Tonight's matches are Zack Ryder versus Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus versus Jack Swagger, Cody versus Santino, Dolph versus Punk, and Wade Barrett versus Kofi Kingston."
"Wade versus Kofi, huh? I was going to say we should just leave, but I want to stick around for that one."
"So we stay? That's fine."
"Yes, I want to stay. Is there anything you can do tonight?"
I shrug. "I don't know. Let me think about that one."
Randy nods. "Figure something out."
"I will…babe, I could take it to the Board of Directors."
"You can?"
"Yeah, I can. He intentionally left out the whole Divas Division."
"Babe, you better do it."
"Trust me, Randy. It's a slip up because of his pettiness towards me."
"Take it."
"I will take it. I've been waiting for him to pull something like this."
"This is good for you."
"Yeah, unfortunately, that's not good for the Divas Division. He left those girls out. I'll talk to Teddy Long, so I can get something set up for tomorrow."
"Just get something set up, Rissa. Take it to the Board of Directors as soon as possible. Make sure he doesn't do that to you or the Divas Division again."
"That's exactly what I'm going to do."
I walk around the halls backstage. I had already made a call to the Board of Directors from my office and will be able to talk to them tomorrow.
As I continue walking through the halls, I notice Beth and Natalya walking towards my direction. They haven't noticed me yet, and I don't need to worry about them. I pretend to not notice them as we pass each other.
"Hey, Marissa." Beth says.
I bite my lip before turning around to look at Beth and Natalya. "Yeah?"
"How come there's no Divas match tonight? I thought you were in charge of that now."
I roll my eyes. "Before you start blaming me, I put in the paperwork for you two to have a Tag Team match against Kelly and Eve tonight. It is not my fault that it isn't on the match card."
"I knew you wouldn't have left Divas out." Natalya comments. "What happened then?"
"I think because John Laurinaitis has issues with me, he decided to make sure it didn't make the match card. I'm sorry that there isn't a Divas match tonight. I've already called the Board of Directors about this. I'm going to make sure he doesn't pull shit like this again."
Beth nods. "I know we don't usually get along, but it sounds like you're handling it. Thanks."
"No problem. We aren't necessarily friends, but I know we both try our best to make our division get taken seriously. We both want that. I'll also make sure that there's a Divas match on SmackDown tomorrow when we film."
"Thanks. See you around I guess."
"Yeah, see you around."
I look at Eve. "I'm so annoyed with John Laurinaitis right now."
Eve looks back at me. "Me too."
"I was just trying to get the Divas Division one match tonight, and he decided to make sure he couldn't get it on the match card."
"Yeah, what a bitch. How's Randy doing after yesterday?"
"Randy isn't happy with John Laurinaitis either. He keeps being an asshole towards me and made sure Randy didn't have a match tonight either."
"That's not cool at all."
"No kidding."
"Other than that, does Randy seem to be in a good mood?"
"Yeah, he seems to be in a decently good mood."
"That's good to hear. How are things going between you two?"
"Well, we potentially conceived a child last night."
Eve laughs. "Good for you, Rissa."
"Yeah, it was fantastic honestly. He did so well. Actually, we did so well."
"Yeah, say we. You were in that bed too, assuming you two were in a bed."
I laugh. "Yeah, we were in a bed, Eve."
"Okay. I mean it doesn't technically have to be in a bed."
"What have you and Cody been up to, Eve? Geez."
"Don't act so innocent, Marissa. Shut up."
"I'm not acting innocent."
"Whatever."
"You wanna go to Catering, Eve?"
"Sure. Let's go."
I give Eve a serious look as I sit with her in Catering. "So you really aren't making any progress with Cody?"
Eve sighs. "No. I try to sit and talk about it with him, and he gets all defensive and interrupts me a lot instead of just listening."
I shake my head. "Eve, you two have to figure something out."
"I know. I just wished he would stop interrupting so much. We need to have it where one person talks while the other listens to them, and then we switch roles."
"Have you considered couples therapy?"
"Do you think Cody and I need couples therapy?"
"Do you think you and Cody need couples therapy?"
"Maybe…I don't know. Have you and Randy ever gone to couples therapy?"
"No, but I know that John and Chelle have, and I feel like Ted and Ryse did for a little bit as well. Ask them about it. I'm just saying maybe it's not a bad idea to try."
"You're not wrong. It is something to consider."
"Yeah, it could fix your relationship, Eve."
"I know. I'll probably ask John and Ted about their experience with it before looking into it myself. I'll need to figure out a way to bring it up to Cody without him freaking out too much."
"That's on you to figure out. Just look into it."
"That sounds like a plan, Rissa."
