SmackDown: November 29, 2011

Randy looks at me as he changes into his ring gear. "Anything for me tonight? Do you know the match card?"

"Actually, your match tonight is a pretty big deal. It's a Miracle on 34th Street Fight." I reply with a smile.

"A Christmas themed Street Fight? I can get behind that. Who's my opponent?"

"Your opponent is David Otunga."

"Isn't he acting as the lawyer for John Laurinaitis now?"

"He sure is."

"Oh good. I may not be able to get my hands on John Laurinaitis himself, but I'll take this as a close alternative."

"Yeah, I think it's a pretty good thing for you."

"I think so too. I want to know who chose my opponent though. I might need to thank them."

"Well, let's just say I had a little extra input with Teddy Long tonight since I wasn't the one who scheduled tonight's travesty of a Divas match."

"What's tonight's travesty of a Divas match?"

"It's a Mistletoe on a Pole match. The winning Diva gets to kiss the Superstar of her choosing."

"That sounds horrible. Aren't most of the Divas already dating a Superstar anyway?"

"I think so. We're married. Obviously, Eve and Cody are dating. There's also Brie and Daniel, Alicia and Wade, Nikki and Dolph, Natalya and Tyson, and that's all I think I know of but there could be more."

"Your point is clear there though. Sounds like a horrible match."

"I think this match is the first time I'll watch a match and be happy I'm not competing."

Randy laughs. "Who could blame you anyway? Not like you would need to win mistletoe, Rissa. It's to kiss any Superstar you want, and you'd only want to kiss me. I'm happy to oblige at any time."

"Yeah, Eve and Beth both complained to me about the match, so I got them both pulled out of it. I can't even blame them."

"Who would?"

"I certainly don't. I would've probably complained if I was currently an active competitor."

"I know you would have. Speaking of things you'd complain about, there is something I've wanted to ask you about, but I don't think that you'll like it."

I look at Randy with concern. "What is it?"

"The country club is throwing a masquerade ball, and I want to go to it. It's a few weeks away, and we'll be home that day."

"The last time we went to the country club together, people kept bugging us, and we barely were able to relax."

"It's a masquerade ball though. They won't see our faces."

"How are we sure that we won't still be recognized?"

"I can't guarantee that, but it's a masquerade ball, Rissa. We'll be wearing masks. It'll help some at least. Plus, we've been taking those ballroom dancing classes. We'd be able to show off what we've learned. Will you take a few days to consider it at least?"

I sigh. "I guess I can consider it."

"Thanks, babe. I love you.

"I love you too."

I'm sitting in the locker-room after Randy heads to guerilla. My phone starts to ring, so I look at it. Chelle is calling me. I answer the phone.

Me: "Hello?"

Chelle: "Hey, what are you up to?"

Me: "Currently, I'm in my locker-room, waiting for a match between Tyson Kidd and Kofi Kingston to finish because Randy has a Street Fight after this."

Chelle: "A Street Fight? Who is he facing?"

Me: "He's facing David Otunga. It's a Christmas themed Street Fight."

Chelle: "Really? Sounds fun. Speaking of Christmas, do you know what you're getting him yet?"

Me: "Honestly, Chelle, I have no idea."

Chelle: "Well, is there anything that he's been wanting to do with you?"

Me: "Randy just brought up the masquerade ball that our country club is having about a week before Christmas. I don't want to go because the last time we were there together, people kept coming up to us and we couldn't really relax, which was why I haven't been there in a while."

Chelle: "A country club? Who goes to a country club?"

Me: "Randy likes the golf there. I don't care to really go there that much."

Chelle: "It's a masquerade ball though?"

Me: "Yeah, it's a masquerade ball, and Randy really wants to go. The only other thing I could probably do that Randy wants to do with me is ride his motorcycle with him."

Chelle: "That's not a bad idea…wait…you haven't rode on his motorcycle?"

Me: "I haven't rode on any motorcycle. Any at all. Randy keeps trying to get me to. He even bought me a helmet."

Chelle: "You should try it. I think you'd have fun. Also, I think you should budge and go to the masquerade ball with him."

Me: "Really?"

Chelle: "Yeah, it'd be good. Just explain to him that it's your Christmas gift to him."

Me: "Maybe that's not a bad idea."

Chelle: "It's not."

Me: "Whatever. What are you up to? Randy just made his entrance for the match."

Chelle: "That's good. I'm not up to much. Just sitting at home and cleaning. I called you to check up on things. I know John Laurinaitis has been giving you a hard time."

Me: "Well, I'm pretty sure he's not here today. Randy is taking this match against David Otunga as basically the closest thing to getting his hands on John Laurinaitis, so he'll be putting his best into it."

Chelle: "That's good. Listen, I'm going to go so you can watch. I'll be looking forward to seeing how this ends. I have it on my TV right now. Bye."

Me: "Oh. Bye. I'll call soon."

The call ends. I decided to head to guerilla to watch this match.

"Here is your winner, Randy Orton!"

I smile as Randy beat David Otunga, despite interference from Wade Barrett. This was a very good outcome. Randy makes it backstage.

I quickly make it over to him. "Congratulations. Good job, Randy."

Randy grins as he pulls me close. "Thanks. I thought you were watching from our locker-room though."

I shrug. "I changed my mind. I'm so proud of that win over David Otunga though."

"Thanks. Let's start walking towards our locker-room now, so I can change."

"Okay." I comment as we start heading back to our locker-room. "You're so sweaty."

Randy rolls his eyes. "I just wrestled in a Street Fight. The losing streak is over."

"I know. It's fantastic. Now, you'll be back to your normal confidence for Wade Barrett."

Randy opens the door of our locker-room. "I'm already there."

I smile as Randy closes the door behind us. "That's good. Is there anything you want for Christmas?"

"Like something you can buy me? I can't really think of anything."

"Really? I'm struggling with ideas for a gift for you."

"Yeah, I have everything I need or want. I have a comfortable life, a good job, a wonderful family, and a fantastic marriage. I couldn't ask for more."

"Really?"

"You should just go with me to the masquerade ball, and we'll call it even when you get my gift on Christmas day."

"You know what you're getting me for Christmas?"

"I've known for months actually."

"That just makes me feel worse. How about I ride with you on your motorcycle and go to masquerade ball? Then we can call it even."

Randy grins. "Deal."
