Raw: December 5, 2011

I look at Randy as he enters our locker-room. "I'm not pregnant, babe. It started."

"Damn." Randy says as he starts changing into his ring gear. "That's a bummer. I figured you weren't, but it still is a bit of a bummer."

"Yeah, it's just not the right time yet, Randy. That's all. It'll happen eventually."

"Yeah. Eventually…"

"Are you feeling good about wrestling tonight?"

"Yeah. I'm…"

"You're in the first match of the night against Miz. I know."

"How did you know that already?"

"I looked at the match card to make sure that the Divas Division had a match tonight."

"Do they?"

"Yes, they do. Eve and Kelly are facing Beth and Natalya in a Tag Team match."

"Sounds good. Anything else going on that is worth any concern?"

"David Otunga is supposedly throwing a hissy fit about you beating him in the Street Fight last Tuesday."

Randy laughs as he finishes putting his gear on. "Sounds about right. Anything else?"

"The Slammys are next week."

"Oh cool. Another year where I don't get one."

"Hey, I heard you were nominated for Superstar of the Year."

"And I probably won't win. Are you nominated?"

"I don't know yet. I am going to assume that I probably am since I was active most of the year."

"I think that is safe to assume. I guess you'll need to be prepared to accept an award next week."

"You think so?"

"You win pretty much every single one you get nominated for."

I shrug. "Fair enough. I'm gonna need to find something to put all my awards in."

Randy rolls his eyes. "I'll figure something out."

I looked at Eve as she hung out with me in guerilla to watch Randy's match against the Miz, so I wouldn't have to potentially deal with John Laurinaitis. "Do you know where they sell masquerade masks at?"

Eve shrugs. "Probably like a party store or something. Is this about the masquerade ball you and Randy are going to?"

"Did I tell you about that? I didn't remember telling you about it."

"You didn't tell me. I heard about it from Ryse, who had been told that Chelle convinced you to go with Randy to it."

"So Chelle told her and she told you?"

"Yes."

"Geez. Nobody in our friend group knows how to keep their mouths shut."

"You're not really wrong there, Rissa. We all gossip."

"Every single one of us, even though I'm sure that the boys will deny it."

"The boys deny pretty much everything that they're accused of."

"You're not wrong there."

"I try to tell Cody that we need to fix things in our relationship, and he acts like I'm accusing him. Then, he goes straight into denial."

"I'm sorry to hear that, Eve. Is the therapy idea not working?"

"It's not working yet. I really want to go, but Cody keeps dodging the topic."

"Have you put an emphasis on how important it is to you?"

"I've put a lot of emphasis on how important it is to me."

"Then maybe you make it the biggest deal you can. Go ahead and schedule the first appointment. Then tell Cody about it and say that if he wants to improve how things are in your relationship right now, then he'll go with you."

"Do you think that'll work?"

"It's what I would do if I was in that situation with Randy." I groan as Randy goes after Wade, who had been trying to distract Randy, instead of Miz, causing a countout. "Come on."

"That's not looking good for Randy."

"No kidding. Wade just attacked him from behind."

"It's not looking too good. If I were you, I'd make sure that Randy makes it to the trainer's. I'm going to go find Kelly to prepare for our Tag Team match. I'll see you later."

I nod as I watch for Randy to come backstage. "Okay. Bye."

Randy makes it backstage, clearly upset. I sigh as I look at him before approaching him.

"You alright?" I ask as I get to him.

Randy puts an arm around me. "Let's just go to our locker-room. Get me the hell out of here before I see Wade again."

I grab Randy as I walk with him to get him out of there as soon as possible.

Randy sits next to me as we watch Raw on the TV in the locker-room. "I can't stand John Laurinaitis. Why is he doing this to Zack? He's a good guy."

"I agree." I comment. "It's not right."

"Seriously, I'm not trying to hate on Zack, but what chance does he have to beat John?"

"I see your point. I hope the Board of Directors sees something wrong with this."

"You and me both."

"John deserves his chance at the WWE Championship, and Zack deserves his chance at the United States Championship. Laurinaitis is being biased against John and Zack."

"I agree. Did your sign Zack's petition?"

"Sure did. Did you?"

"I did as well."

"Someone needs to fix this." I comment as the show comes back from commercial to show John in Laurinaitis's office.

"John might do it himself."

"I don't like this."

We both watch as Laurinaitis tells Cena that he has to give up his WWE Championship opportunity to give Zack Ryder another match to earn an opportunity to fight Dolph for the United States Championship. John agrees to that and Zack immediately gets a No Countout, No Disqualification match against Mark Henry.

"This is not right." Randy says.

"Laurinaitis has everything going his way. John doesn't have a shot at the WWE Championship, and it'll be hard for Zack Ryder to get a shot at the United States Championship." I comment.

"This is way out of line."

"I know. Someone needs to knock his ass down some pegs and fix this for John."

"Can you do that?"

"It's doubtful, but maybe there's something I can try."

"There's something to try?"

"My dad really likes John. John has done so much for the company. Maybe I can convince my dad to overrule Laurinaitis and put Cena in the match. I'm not going to that without getting an okay from Cena though."

Randy looks up at the TV. "Rissa, look at this."

John hits an Attitude Adjustment on Mark Henry and lays Zack on top of him.

1…2…3!

"Here is your winner, Zack Ryder!"

"Oh shit." I remark. "Zack is still going strong."

Randy grins. "Good for him."

"I'm going to go talk to John. And I mean Cena. I want to fix this if I can."

"Okay. I think that's a conversation for you two to have alone so I'll get packed up to leave."

"Okay. I love you."

"I love you too, sweetheart. Go fight for what's right."

I knock on the door to Cena's locker-room and wait for a response. I hear the door unlock, and it opens.

John looks at me. "Hey. What's up, Rissa?"

I sigh. "I want to fix things. Can we talk?"

"Sure. Come in."

I follow John inside and close the door. "Thanks."

John nods. "No problem. Sit down."

I sit down on the couch. "Okay."

"Is this about what happened with my WWE Championship opportunity?"

"Yeah, it is. What Laurinaitis decided to do isn't right, Cena. We both know that."

"You're right, Rissa. It is what it is though. I've had my opportunities. I want Zack to get his."

"I get that, but you earned it. My dad adores you and you've done so much for the WWE. I think he'd be willing to overrule Laurinaitis and give you your opportunity. I want to talk to him about this."

"I understand where you're coming from, Rissa, but don't do it. I'm trying to prove a point to John Laurinaitis with the sacrifice that I made tonight. Let me do that. Going to Vince to get it overruled would make it pointless. You have your way of doing things, and I have mine. Can we both respect that?"

I nod. "Yeah, we can do that. If you change your mind though, Cena, let me know."

"If I happen to change my mind, you'll be the first to know, Rissa."
