Raw: December 12, 2011

I curl my hair as I'm watching myself in the mirror. I was nominated for a Slammy award tonight, so there's a decent chance for me to show up on TV tonight. It's weird because I have not been on television since the SmackDown after Vengeance, that was about a month and a half ago.

I finally have gotten used to not being on television, and I get nominated for a Slammy award. I have a high chance of needing to be on television tonight, so I need to be ready. I finish curling my hair and admire it and my outfit in the mirror.

Randy walks in. "Damn, who's this babe hanging out in my locker-room tonight?"

I blush. "Hey, Randy."

Randy smiles as he puts his bag down. "You look beautiful."

I put the curling iron away. "I'm not even fully ready yet. I still need makeup."

"You still look absolutely beautiful." Randy pulls me to him and keeps his arms wrapped around me.

"Thanks."

Randy kisses my forehead. "How did I get so lucky?"

"I'm the lucky one."

"No, it's me. Rissa, I couldn't have done any better than you. You could've done better than me."

"I don't know about that."

"That's true. What are you nominated for?"

"Divalicious Moment of the Year."

"What does that mean?"

I shrug. "Pretty much the best Diva moment. There's not a Diva of the Year Slammy this year, so I'm hoping to win."

"They probably got rid of that since you won two years in a row and probably would've won again. What moment got you nominated?"

"I got nominated for when I beat Brie Bella for the Divas Championship."

"Sounds like a good chance for you to win."

I nod. "I hope so. I also hope you can win the Superstar of the Year Slammy award."

"I haven't won it before, probably won't win this year."

"I think you have a legitimate chance to win this Slammy award tonight. Punk has had one hell of a year though, so maybe not."

Randy laughs. "I feel like Punk is winning this one, Rissa. I guess there's always next year. I can be Superstar of the Year 2012."

"Yeah, there's always next year."

"Do you feel weird about potentially being on TV to accept that Slammy award tonight?"

"I am feeling a little weird since I haven't been on television since October."

Randy smiles. "I'm sure you'll be fine, Rissa."

"I hope so. I'm going to go get one of the makeup artists to do my makeup now."

"Okay."

"And your winner of the Divalicious Moment of the Year is…" Lita, the presenter of the Slammy award, says. "Marissa Orton!"

I know I want that girl so bad

I lie awake at night

And think of all the things that I would do

With a girl like that…

I walk out onto the stage to a loud and positive reaction and hug Lita.

"Congratulations, beautiful." Lita whispers.

"Thanks." I reply as she hands me the Slammy award.

"Absolutely. Go crazy with your speech."

"I will as long as you stay out here while I talk."

"I will."

I laugh before heading up to the microphone to speak. "Umm…first and foremost, I would like to thank the WWE Universe for voting for me to win this Slammy award. Since I won this for the moment where I won the Divas Championship earlier this year, I would also like to thank the numerous people who taught me about professional wrestling when I first broke into the business, namely, who are the two most iconic Divas ever in my opinion, Trish Stratus and the woman who is on this stage with me right now, Lita. I wouldn't have been able to win championships without the advice I got from them. And-"

("Glamazon" plays)

Beth and Natalya come out onto the stage.

Beth grabs my Slammy award and tries to take it from me. "I'm going to be taking this since I beat you for the Divas Championship and should've won this anyway."

"I don't think so, Beth." I slap Beth across the face, causing her to fall to the ground.

Natalya helps Beth up, and both women glare at me. I wave at them as Lita stands by my side. Beth and Natalya head backstage.

I return to the microphone. "I'm not a pushover just because I'm not wrestling now, Beth. You need to remember that I'm a former four time WWE Women's Champion, as well as a former two time WWE Divas Champion and the only woman in WWE history to have been the United States Champion. Now, as I was saying, the people who have helped me during my career are the reason I have done so well to the point that I would even be nominated to win this Slammy. And, despite the fact that I am not currently competing, I have big plans for 2012, and I am very excited to experience the future with the WWE Universe. Thank you."

Lita hugs me one more time as my theme song starts to play before I head backstage.

I hadn't been on TV for over a month. Even though it was only to accept this Slammy award, it felt damn good to be in front of the WWE Universe again.

Eve looks at me as I sit next to her in Catering. "Girl, what in the hell was that?"

I shrug. "Bitch tried to take my Slammy. I may not be competing right now, but I'm not just going to let her do that."

Alicia Fox, who is also sitting at the table, gives me a serious look. "But aren't you not supposed to be involved in any physicality?"

"Like I said, I'm just going to let her take my Slammy. I won this Slammy award that is in my hand fair and square."

Kelly sits with us. "I actually got quite the laugh from that one. Rissa, I applaud you for that one."

"Thank you. Explain that to these two."

"Beth did have it coming, you guys. Rissa honestly should've slapped Natalya too."

"Yeah, I really should've. Why didn't I?"

"Did you not think about that?" Alicia asks.

"Not at all. I really regret not slapping Natalya too."

"Maybe there'll be a next time."

"If those two are dumb enough to cross me again while I'm not wrestling, trust me, they'll both have hell to pay."

"I don't doubt that." Eve replies. "But what about not being involved in any physicality?"

"It was one slap. That's all."

"Beth and Natalya aren't going to be happy."

"I know that, and I, quite frankly, don't give a damn. Did those two think that because I'm not wrestling right now that I'm going to be a pushover? I'm not some pushover, so I stood up for myself. That's all."

"I get your point. I just don't want it reflecting back on you badly."

"It won't. Randy just came in with Rey Mysterio. I'm going to go say hi."

Eve nods. "You do that, Rissa."

I walk over to Randy as I wave at Rey. I put a hand on his shoulder. Randy takes my hand off of his shoulder to hold my hand instead and moves me in front of him.

Randy kisses my cheek. "Yeah, Rey, those were good times. I can't believe it's been over five years. It doesn't feel like nearly that long ago."

Rey laughs. "As different as you look, Randy, I thought you'd feel like it was longer. You got way more tattoos and grew out your facial hair. You also went from being the Legend Killer to being the Viper."

"Actually, Rey, I'm the Apex Predator now. Don't you pay attention?"

Rey smiles as I roll my eyes at Randy. "Your wife just rolled her eyes at you, and that's pretty much the only response for your comment, Randy."

Randy nods. "She always rolls her eyes at me."

"Who can blame her? You're quite the pain, Randal." Rey looks at me. "Enough about him. How are you, homie? I haven't seen you in ages."

I smile. "I'm doing pretty good. Except being stuck with this pain."

"Yeah, I don't know how you deal with him so much."

"Sometimes I don't either. So what's going on with you?"

"Well…I'm still healing up from my injury. I'm just here to present a Slammy."

I nod. "I hope it all goes well."

Rey shrugs. "If I have any problems, I'll just pull a page out of your book and slap the person."

I laugh. "It worked pretty well."

"Yeah, I'm presenting the Superstar of the Year Slammy award. I don't know who won yet, but they better not be causing problems."

Randy smiles. "If it's me, I promise not to be a problem, Rey."

"Thanks, Randy. I'm gonna get going. Marissa, you may want to consider slapping him too if he keeps being a pain." Rey laughs. "Anyway, I hope I can talk to you both longer next time I see you. See you later."

"Bye, Rey." Randy and I both say.

Randy looks at me. "Congratulations on winning the Slammy award, beautiful."

I smile as I look at him. "Thank you."

"I'm going to have to build you a shelf or something for all these."

I laugh. "Probably. Let's go. You have a match soon."

"Okay. Let's go."
