Kurt took another sip of his alcohol-free cocktail he had just ordered at the bar. Since the blockers still didn't wear off, he didn't dare drinking any alcoholic beverages.

With his eyes, he searched for Vince in the crowd of wealthy people. He needed to be somewhere. He just needed to…

"Hey, there."

Kurt flinched and turned his head. Behind him were two women that were waving at him nicely.

"Where do you suddenly come from?", he asked them, sharper than intended. He was sure they hadn't been standing behind him a couple of seconds earlier.

"We are Sensates as well", the blue-eyed brunette pointed out with an innocent smile. "I'm Marley, I'm from Edinburgh."

"My name's Unique, proud Australian", Unique introduced herself and curtsied.

Confused, Kurt cocked his head to the side. "Why the hell can I see you? I'm on blockers right now."

At that, both women burst into laughter. "Blockers? Oh, we are immune to those", Unique explained to him and high-fived with Marley. The black woman looked around, whistling. "So what brings you to this pretentious party if you don't mind telling us?"

"I need to spy on my fiancé", Kurt explained shortly and walked around in search for Vince, the women in tow. "He and his men are up to no good. At least not good for Sensates."

"Do you need help?", Marley asked helpfully.

Kurt shook his head. "Thanks but no thanks. I will find him alone."

Speaking of the devil. Vince just walked to his direction, glass of Cider in hand. When he spotted Kurt, his eyes widened in suprise. Quick, he rushed to his fiancé, a fake, fake smile on his face.

"Kurt?" Apparently, he didn't know what to say. "W…what are you doing here?"

"You mean after you have not only cheated on me by sleeping with my brother's girlfriend but also kidnapped me and tried to kill me, you impertinent jerk?", Kurt hissed sarcastically, of course only in his head.

Unique and Marley exchanged surprised glances. "That man needs Jesus in his life", Unique muttered disapprovingly.

"May I splash the Cider into his face?", Marley asked him with an innocent face expression.

Kurt looked at the two of them sternly. "You won't do anything. Just let me handle that, okay?"

Taking a deep breath, he focused on the reality again. "Vince, it's terrible." He gripped the redhead's arm and widened his eyes theatrically. "When I woke up a couple of days ago, I had stranded at the beach of Seattle with no memory of what happened in the last six to seven months. I only remember you proposing to me, but that was all. Everything after that is…gone."

Gaga bless his acting skills. Because actually, Kurt felt like slapping him really hard.

Vince seemed to buy his lie and blinked. "You…you don't remember anything?"

Kurt nodded, feigning helplessness. "No. When I asked Mrs. Wright about your whereabouts, she told me you flew to Malibu to this cocktail party, so I followed you to California. I wanted to ask you whether you can remember what happened?"

"Shouldn't you be in hospital or something?" Vince gripped Kurt's shoulders, throwing him a scrutinizing glance.

"Well…I left", Kurt shrugged. "I feel fine, so why should I stay?" He touched Vince on his waist and pulled him closer. "What about the two of us leave that party and go to a more…private place?", he flirtatiously whispered into Vincent's ear. You are hunting Sensates, so you are grossing me out, was what he actually wanted to scoff, but he let it be. After all, he was on a mission; nothing could go wrong.

Vince pulled away from him. "Kurt, you can't just leave hospital!"

"Yes, I can!", Kurt pouted and sullenly crossed his arms like a little boy.

At that, Vincent threw him a tormented glance. "Look, I will just bring you a glass of water." He gently put the glass of alleged alcohol from Kurt's hands. "I don't think drinking would be a good idea if you just got out of hospital."

"So now, he cares about you?", Unique asked skeptically.

"Be careful, who knows what he is planning now", Marley added.

Kurt cocked his eyebrows. "Thanks for your advice, but I know Vince. I know exactly whenever he plans something."

"Just like you knew when he posed as a model to get into your bosses' company", Unique pointed out with a cocked eyebrow. "Yes, I see, you really do know him."

At that, Kurt threw her a killing glance.

"But she has a point", Marley added softly, and Kurt rolled his eyes. "You need to beware. Those people are dangerous."

Just at this moment, someone else crossed their way, and Kurt had to do everything in his power not to flinch. Oh no. What was Blaine doing here? There was no way Blaine may know about him being alive.

"Who's that guy?", Marley asked him curiously and took a sip of her orange juice.

"Blaine", was everything Kurt could mutter.

Unique looked back and forth between him and the other guy and cocked her eyebrows knowingly. "Let me guess, your love interest?"

Kurt gulped. "I kind of faked my death so that he is save. He cannot know about me being alive, or else, he will be in danger! What am I supposed to do now?"

Marley cleared her throat loudly. "I think I know a way. But for that, I need to take over your body if you don't mind?"

Exasperatedly, Kurt threw his hands up. "It can't get any worse anyway."

When Blaine spotted him, he stared at him until he finally came over.

"Kurt?"

Kurt turned to Blaine, and his eyes lit up. "Kurt, you're alive!" He quickly pulled Kurt into a hug, but Marley alias Kurt pulled away from him, looking irritated.

Blaine didn't seem to notice. "Where were you? What are you doing here? Gosh, me and your family were worried sick when you just didn't show up. We…we all thought you were dead!"

Marley blinked. "Do I know you?", she asked him confusedly. "Who are you?" Actually, she really didn't know who he was.

When he said that, Blaine's eyes widened in shock. "You…you don't know who I am?"

The pain in his eyes made Kurt's chest ache, but luckily, he couldn't control his actions anyway. "Please don't be too hard on him, okay?", he pleaded Marley.

She just threw him a pitiful glance. "I will do what is necessary to keep your friend save, I promise." With that, she turned to Blaine again. "I'm sorry, I don't know who you are, Sir."

"I'm Blaine, your…friend", Blaine explained, sounding almost desperate. "No, scratch that. We are so much more than that. We are…"

At that moment, a green eyed guy came over to them and laid his arms around Blaine's torso. "Who is that, sexy?", he wanted to know.

Kurt stiffened visibly, but thanks to his out of body experience, Marley in his body didn't even blink. Instead, she politely stuck his hand out. "I'm Mar…Kurt", she quickly corrected herself. "Yes, Kurt, that's my name. What else should be my name?" She laughed nervously.

Unique facepalmed, but Kurt was too upset to notice her little mistake.

"Sebastian. Sebastian Smythe." Sebastian politely shook his hand with Kurt's body, but his tone was somewhat icy. "Nice to meet you, Kurt."

Marley threw Blaine a questioning glance. "Is he your husband or something?"

Blaine quickly shook his head. "Oh, no, no, no. Seb and I, we are just friends."

"So now, he even has a nickname for him?", Kurt hissed displeasedly, crossing his arms. Unique consolingly patted his shoulder. "I'm sure Blaine just wants to be nice. Its crystal clear he only has eyes for you."

Kurt groaned loudly. He only had one task, one task, and now, everything got more complicated. The Council of Elders was relying on him, but he couldn't even manage to lure Vince into their trap. "Can this get any worse?"

"Blaine Devon Anderson!", a new, kind of bossy, female voice called out.

Kurt, Blaine, Sebastian, Marley and Unique turned around, startled.

A certain group of eight was walking towards them, they all looked pissed. Blaine sheepishly looked down.

"Oh, hey guys."

"What were you thinking when you just left without telling us?", Rachel huffed, arms crossed.

"I…" Suddenly, his friends' eyes went wide, and Blaine followed their glances.

"Kurt?!" They all came rushing over to him and pulled him into a tight hug, almost crashing his bones.

"Oh my gosh!", Marley, still as Kurt, said loudly, trying to free herself. "You are suffocating me! Who are you even?"

At that, they all let go of Kurt as if they just got burned, and threw him a bewildered glance.

In the meantime, Blaine scratched his head. "Wait… you are here in real life too? Not only in my head?"

"When we found out about your whereabouts, we came here immediately." Tina smirked knowingly. "Sometimes, having a rich boyfriend who can lend me his jet is kind of practical."

Mercedes threw her a disbelieving glance. "So you forgave Mike? And since when is he still your boyfriend?"

"I don't want to talk about it", the Asian author snapped and looked down, blushing.

Blaine cleared his throat loudly, in his head this time, and the group of eight turned to him. "Guys, we have a problem", he said worriedly. "Kurt seemed to have lost his memory, and his powers."

When he said that, Quinn skeptically looked over to him. "But he looks fine to me."

"Why do you think doesn't he take part at our conversation in our heads now?", Blaine retorted impatiently. "Something must have happened to him."

"You think so?", a new sharp voice suddenly said, and Blaine looked up, surprised. None other than Kurt was looking at him with a scowl. "I can't believe you ruined my plan!"

The others blinked, confused.

"What the hell are you talking about, Lady?", Santana eventually broke their silence. "So you don't have amnesia?"

"Am I the only one who's so confused right now?", Puck asked in the round. Sam and Finn shook their heads. "Nope, same here.", the muttered at the same time.

"I was on blockers", Kurt explained to them slowly. "Pills that blocked my powers", he added when the others threw him confused glances. "That's why you couldn't communicate with me all the time."

"I knew it!" Blaine looked in the round with a self-righteous face expression. "I told you so. I told you that Kurt wasn't dead!" He turned back to Kurt again, pulled him closer and kissed him passionately. "I'm so glad you are fine", Blaine eventually whispered into his ear after he had pulled away- just to raise his hand to slap him hard across the face.

Tina and Mercedes yelped, even the guys needed to flinch.

"Wanky", Santana muttered with cocked eyebrows. "Who would have thought that Blaine The Hobbit Anderson was that savage?"

Kurt, however, just sheepishly rubbed his cheek. "I guess I deserved that."

"Well, you are not wrong", Puck commented, and Santana nodded in agreement. "After all, you made us think you were dead for entire two and a half weeks. If I was the hobbit, I would scramble your balls or something."

Blaine ignored her. "How could you do that to me!? I thought I would never see you again because you drowned. Do you have any idea how devastated I was!? I was paralyzed and unable to keep my life going because you were gone. I was miserable all day long, and nothing, really nothing, could get me out of that hole." He threw Kurt a mad glance. "And now, I learn you didn't die back then!? That you let me suffer on purpose?!"

"I'm sorry, okay?" Kurt threw him a tormented glance. "Do you think this step has been easy for me? I never wanted to let you down, or any of you" -He looked in the round- "But the Council of Elders told me it was a matter of death and life. If I dragged you into this mess as well, you would all be in danger, and I would never forgive myself if something happened to you, just because of me."

"Wait, wait, wait", Finn cut him off confusedly. "What does the Council of Elders have to with anything?"

Kurt took a deep breath. "They found me and kind of saved my life. Only thanks of them, I'm still alive. And now, I want to help stop Vince and his people that try killing Sensates, of course while risking that Vince will look through my lie, so I'm practically in danger. So sorry if all I tried to do all the time was keeping you safe and trying to protect you."

"Yeah, tell them", Unique said in a supportive way, and Kurt threw her a grateful glance.

Blaine cocked his eyebrows, confused. "What did you just look at?"

"Oh, nothing, nothing", Kurt quickly added when he realized that he and the others couldn't see Marley and Unique. He turned back to his friends, serious. "Look, I need to do this alone, okay? Just trust me. You can just fly home and let me handle everything."

In the meantime, Sebastian tipped on Blaine's shoulder. "Blaine? Who's that ginger guy that is now standing next to that Gay Face?", he whispered into his ear.

"That's Vince, his fiancé", Blaine answered absentmindedly and without thinking. "That guy I told you about. That guy that chases…"

Sebastian's eyes went wide. "So that's him? That guy that tried killing a Sensate, one of our kind?"

"Yes, but…" Before Blaine could end his sentence, Sebastian had already retrieved something from the inside pocket of his tuxedo blazer. It was a handgun.

"So you're Vincent Slatter?", Sebastian asked Vince in a hostile way, pointing the gun right to his temple. "The infamous Sensate-Hunter?"

"Sebastian!", Blaine exclaimed, but he ignored him.

"Congrats, you just got into our get Together and will die soon, and so will all of your men."

All of a sudden, it was dead silent in the ballroom. People that just had been sipping on their cocktails and had been conversing happily stared at Sebastian who still pointed his gun to Vincent's head, some of them had also retrieved their guns out of nowhere and were pointing them at Vince as well.

That was it.

Their cover had been blown.

Kurt facepalmed and let out a loud groan. Mission failed. That so didn't go the way they had planned it.

Only two chapters left, fellas...
