Raw: December 19, 2011
Randy played with my hair as we both laid on the couch in our locker-room. "Do we have to be here today? I really just want to stay away from the irritating people tonight."
I smile as I look up at him. "Yes, we do. You have a match tonight. It is the first match though."
"Against who?"
"It's a rematch with Wade Barrett."
"So I have to wrestle the irritating people. Yay."
"Sorry, babe, it's just your luck. At least you are wrestling."
"Point taken, Rissa. Are you ready for the masquerade ball on Friday?"
"I'm ecstatic about it. It's for charity."
"Good. Me too. I can't wait to show off what we've been learning in ballroom dancing class."
"Is that the whole reason you wanted to go?"
"No, that's only part of it."
"What else is there?"
"Having an amazing time with you."
"Fair enough. I can't argue with that."
"I know. You enjoy my company too much."
"I don't think that's possible. You're my husband and best friend. I enjoy your company more than anyone else's, but I don't think it's too much."
"Good. You're my wife and my best friend too. I love every second I get with you. And we're married, so you're legally stuck with me anyway."
"Legally…alright then."
Randy kisses my forehead. "I'll have to get up to get my gear on soon."
"Just go ahead and do it. The sooner you're ready for your match the better."
Randy gets up off the couch to change into his gear. "You're not wrong there. Maybe I can make this a quick match tonight."
I sit up. "Do what you feel like doing, Randy. It's your match."
"Yeah, I'll aim for a quick match."
I watched from our locker-room as Randy was wrestling the first match of Monday Night Raw against Wade Barrett. Eve had joined me in the locker-room to watch, so I wasn't alone.
"Can I ask you about something?" Eve asks.
"Sure." I reply. "What's up?"
"Do you think it'd be a good idea if I decided to go spend my holidays in Colorado with my family instead of staying with Cody in Georgia?"
"Well…in my opinion, I think that you should do whatever you think would be best for you. If I was in your situation, I wouldn't want to be miserable during the holidays. However, if you do decide to go stay with your family, give Cody a heads up that you won't be with him in Georgia. Not telling him and making him figure it out would probably just cause more problems."
"Okay. That sounds like a plan. I think I'm going to try to talk to him about it tonight."
"That's not a bad idea. Did you get the therapy scheduled?"
"I can't get in until after the New Year. I'm working on getting it scheduled."
"That's good."
"Yeah, are you doing alright? You've seemed a little bit off for about a week now."
I sigh. "Remember what I was talking about last Tuesday at the SmackDown filming?"
"You want to start wrestling again, don't you, Rissa?"
"I think so. I'm really torn over this. I'm ovulating right now, so I'll wait to see if I end up pregnant in the next couple of weeks. However, if I'm not, I'm going to be miserable if I have to watch instead of being able to get back in the ring during the Road to WrestleMania. Plus, every time I tell Randy that I'm not pregnant, he doesn't take it well. He tries to hide it, but it's clear to me that he doesn't."
"If that goes on for months longer, it could have a bad effect on both of you."
"That's what I think too. I seriously think he takes every single time I end up not being pregnant worse than I do."
"Do you take it badly?"
"I get bummed out, but I know it takes a while. What gets to me is having to stay out of the ring for so long just to try. He's a man, so he has no idea how I feel about this."
"I'm not trying, but if I was in your situation, I'd be miserable. You're pretty much a workaholic. Not being able to wrestle isn't going to be easy on you, especially if you have nothing else to do."
"It isn't easy on me, Eve." I say as Randy wins the match by disqualification. "I don't like this."
"Me either." Eve replies as Wade continues to attack Randy. "He's getting a table."
I watch with wide eyes as Wade hits Randy with Wasteland through the table. "I'm going to go. Randy will be on his way to the trainer. I'm going to meet him there to make sure he's alright."
"Okay."
"You can stay to continue to watch if you want. I might be a while though."
"That's alright. I'll probably leave. You have a lot to think about though, Rissa."
I nod. "I know. See you later, Eve."
"See ya."
I wait anxiously in the trainer's room for Randy to arrive. He finally does and looks at me.
"Are you alright?" I ask with concern.
"I will be. Just went through one table. I just need some pain medicine and ice." Randy replies.
I walk over and caress his face. "That's good I guess. I was a bit worried about you."
Randy smiles as he gets pain medicine and ice. "I figured you would be. I'm fine though. I might just be a little banged up. Nothing too bad though."
"That's nice to know. I'll give you a few days to heal before making you do a lot of stuff at home."
Randy laughs. "Thanks. I'd appreciate that, Rissa."
"You should appreciate that. I'm a considerate wife."
"I know. Do you think there's a chance that we could leave early tonight?"
"Well, I've heard that John Laurinaitis is awfully busy tonight."
"Is that a yes?"
"It is a yes. Let's go back to the locker-room to get our things and hope we can sneak out without getting caught."
"Sounds like a plan."
