Tim was in hell. He was pretty sure this was hell anyway. He was suffering the worst torture any man could possibly suffer. Shopping with his wife. Kelly had dragged him to an outlet mall under the guise of going to the electronic store for new phones and a computer. The Reynosa Cartel had nothing on his wife as far as torture went.

Kelly soon walked over to her husband with a couple of pairs of pants and a few shirts in her hands. "Okay, I got some things to start with. Go try them on and I'll find some more."

Tim groaned. "You became a sadist in the last nine years, didn't you? You must have because I don't remember you torturing me like this before."

Kelly rolled her eyes. "Don't be overdramatic. You need clothes. You came with nothing but what was on your back. If Mom hadn't anticipated such an event and picked you up a couple of outfits, you'd have been screwed these last few days.

"Well, it's not my fault. I didn't exactly have time to pack," Tim said quietly.

"Yeah, well, get used to it. I doubt it'll be the last time," Kelly said. She'd had to buy knew wardrobes several times in her life. If she was lucky, like this last time, she got to pack some things, but there were times when they just had to jump in the car and go.

A look of complete horror took over Tim's face. "This could happen again. I think I wanna give myself up now."

Kelly slapped him upside the head. "That's not funny, Jackass. Now go try those on,"

"I could've done this myself you know," Tim said. He would've much preferred to go shopping on his own. That way he could've just grabbed some things and left.

Kelly laughed. "Yeah, right. If I'd left it up to you, you would've grabbed one or two things and left without even making sure they fit. You could make this process less painful though, by helping to pick things out."

"It would be less painful to just leave," Tim said

"Oh my God. It's one day! One day of shopping isn't going to kill you," Kelly said.

"A part of me wishes it would. This is worse than death. And why isn't Gibbs being subjected to this torture? He didn't pack anything either," Tim said. He felt that if he was stuck going through this crap, Gibbs should be too. It was only fair.

Kelly smirked and shoved the clothes she'd picked out at her husband. "Oh, he is, trust me. Mom took him somewhere else so we wouldn't have to listen to you both whine at once. Now go try those on. The longer you stand here and complain, the longer we'll be here."

Tim grumbled but nonetheless went to do his wife's bidding. He did find it oddly comforting that Gibbs was suffering this unspeakable torture too.

Three hours later, Tim could thankfully say there were out of the clothing store. Next, they did go to an electronic place as Kelly told Tim they would. "See, I didn't lie. We are at your kind of store. Well, our kind of store I should say," Kelly said.

Tim snorted as he surveyed the laptops. "Yeah, after three hours of hell."

Kelly rolled her eyes. "I'm gonna go grab us some disposable phones. I know it's not what you're used to, but smartphones aren't ideal for this lifestyle."

"Get at least ten," Tim called as Kelly started to leave.

Kelly turned back with a confused look on her face. "Ten? There are four of us. What are planning to break a bunch?"

"Not me. Let's just say that your dad and technology don't mesh. He goes through several phones a month," Tim said

"You're kidding," Kelly said.

"Nope. When I was still new to NCIS, just before I went to work for him, your dad broke his phone and told me to reboot it," Tim sad.

"How do you reboot a cellphone?" Kelly asked.

"You throw it in the trash and grab another from the desk full with new cellphones," Tim said with a smirk.

Kelly laughed. "Seriously?"

"Oh, yeah. It happens quite frequently. Gibbs isn't big on technology. He'd rather take a hammer to a computer or phone and deal with it another way. Although, maybe the generic phones will be better. We might only have to replace it once or twice a month," Tim aid half-jokingly.

"Wow. You've gotta tell some more about my dad. Were you guys close before all this?" Kelly said. She was really intrigued by her husband's relationship with her father. It was weird that Tim knew more about her dad than he did, but it was also kind of cool to hear things about him through Tim's perspective.

Tim thought about it for a minute. "Not really. He was closer with our other colleagues than with me.

"Why?" Kelly wondered.

"More in common, I guess. He was actually the closest with Abby," Tim said.

Kelly frowned. "Isn't that the girl that almost got you killed in Mexico?"

"It's not her fault, Kelly," Tim said.

"It sort of sounds like it is. She pretty much forced you onto that street," Kelly grumbled.

"She's also a good friend. She's the only one I ever told about you and she was really supportive," Tim said.

Kelly cringed as she was reminded of how much she hurt her husband. She was also slightly jealous of this girl that was so close to Tim. She also wondered if Tim had ever been with this Abby. She couldn't fault him for it if he had, but she kind of wanted to know. She was afraid to ask though because it was all a touchy subject for them.

Tim could tell what Kelly was thinking. "I know that look. You don't have anything to worry about. Yes, Abby and I had a casual relationship, but it was never very serious. I tried to make it serious because I wanted to move on from you, but it didn't work. Abby saw through it and later I did to. No matter how hard I tried to make it different, you were the only woman I loved. "

Kelly cleared her throat. "Same here, except substitute 'man' for 'woman'."

"Come on. Let's finish up here and head back," Tim said.

"Right. I'll go get those phones," Kelly said before walking away.
