I own nothing except parts you do not recognise. If I did own Pokémon then Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl wouldn't be in chibi style. I know that a lot of people want my other stories to continue but I don't know when I will get to them, if I do get back to completing them. Try to be patient and I may get back to them at some point. The dots in between each chapter is just a way for me to separate each chapter easily as the site wouldn't allow me to properly separate each chapter.
It was a dark night on Privet Drive but it wasn't always like that. Not even three minutes ago were a man in fluorescent purple robes with a splash of silver five pointed stars, a matching hat, some glasses perched on his nose and a long magical silver beard. This was Albus Dumbledore, an important man with a lot of positions in the government, both national and international, and the head of the only, read as: only known, magical school in Great Britain otherwise known as England. With him was his Deputy-Head Minerva McGonagall an elderly woman who wore a black witches hat and emerald robes.

Minerva was holding a child, a baby in her arms, not wanting to give the little one to her boss. She knew she would have to, the baby had to go to her only family, blood family left, but she had been watching the family all day and didn't want the sweet, innocent little Dawn Potter to be corrupted by those horrible muggles. The child's parents had died earlier today and her godfather had run off after betraying his friends to the dark lord.

"Minerva, please give me the child, she needs to go with her family. I will make sure she is safe." Dumbledore said in an aged and tired voice. It had been a long day and he wanted his bed. But unfortunately his newest pawn needed to be integrated with her magical phobic relatives so she would grow up correctly and be an obedient sacrifice. Thankful that Minerva didn't practice legilimency, Albus decided to be forceful. And by forceful, he meant using magic.

"Obliviate!" Dumbledore whispered. Minerva's eyes went blank before she gave him the child and apparated away. His eyes held an victorious glee before he waved his wand over the child and hit her in the head.

As the girl was hit she began crying, feeling her magic, not that she knew of it, constricting till it went from the size of an bowling ball to a needles point. She also felt something carve itself into her head leaving a thunderbolt shaped scar.

The hidden dark lord shoved the girl into an hastily conjured basket before roughly putting her onto the front porch of a house, number four to be precise. "You will be an worthy pawn little Dawn. While the lost of an ancient Pure-Blood family is a large sacrifice, it will be worthwhile to make me immortal. Why am I talking to a child, she won't remember this." And with that he apparated away to join in the festivities of the end of the dark lord Voldemort.

If he stayed any longer he would of seen a creature looking like dark shadow with an white fog billowing from it's head covering a surprisingly blue eye and a red spiky growth around it's neck. This is Darkrai, the Pitch-Black Pokemon and lord of nightmares. This Pokémon, despite common belief, didn't like to cause chaos, that belonged to Cresselia. He preferred law and order to chaos and disorder. But right now he was breaking law and inviting chaos into the world of Pokémon. But he didn't care, a child was not becoming a pawn under his watch for some befuddled old man with an immorality complex. So the nightmare lord picked the child up and brought her to it's own world before dropping her off at the door of Johanna Ayako, an accomplishment Pokémon Coordinator of Twinleaf town, her home and current location. The Pokémon rang the doorbell before quickly hiding and seeing the blue haired woman come out, see Dawn and practically adopt her on the spot. Darkrai was glad, it knew the child would do so much for it's world but it knew that her old worldwould attempt to find her in the future. It would hold them if as long as it could but it knew they would get through eventually. And it would wait.
—————Ten years Later—————
Dawn Ayako was excited. On her television a report on the hunt for the red Gyarados was still going on, which exited her as maybe, just maybe she could catch it when she becomes a trainer. Dawn has a fair complexion, blue eyes and long navy blue hair. She is currently wearing a minidress consisting of a black v-neck tank top with a white shirt underneath, a very short pink miniskirt, and a pink scarf. On her head is an white hat with a pink Pokéball print on it. In her hair, keeping it out of her face are two golden hair clips. On her right wrist is a black bracelet with two blue pearls. Dawn has already made plans with Barry, her friend to go and find their first Pokémon on their way to Sandgem town to ask the professor for a Pokémon. It had been their dream to be a Pokémon trainer just like their idols, Cynthia for her and Flint for him. But before that, she had to go to his house.

"By mom, I'm going now." Dawn said to her mother Johanna who was in the living room. Johanna looked like an older version of Dawn but had some slight differences. For one her hair was slightly bushy had wasn't held back with golden pins but instead a single red one, she also wore a white long sleeved blouse, an light red half apron with pockets over her long jean shorts and red slippers. Her eyes were blue like Dawn's.

Johanna just shouted back, "Okay dear, but be safe." Dawn rolled her eyes but didn't comment, knowing that her mother was just trying to keep her safe. She ran across town to Barry's house. Twinleaf town is a small town with at most ten houses with most being owned by the farmers around the town. The only farmer not in the town were the Ayako's and the Kurotsugu's, her and Barry's families. They were exempt as Johanna was a former famous contest coordinator and Barry's dad being Palmer a frontier brain known as the Tower Tycoon.

After arriving at Barry's house Dawn goes to knock on the door before it opens and someone runs into her. "Whoever did that is going to be fined 10,000!" An angry voice shouted to the heavens. This is Barry Kurotsugu. He has blonde hair and orange eyes. He wears a short sleeved cardigan with orange and white stripes along with grey trousers and brown boots. Around his neck is a green scarf despite the warm weather.

"Oh it's just you Dawn. In that case we should get going, these Pokémon aren't going to choose themselves!" Barry exclaims with excitement. He runs for a bit before suddenly doubling back screaming he forgot his journal. Dawn just shakes her head and decided to wait for him on the beginning of the route 201. A few minutes later Barry shows up and we walk to Lake Varity.

When arriving at the lake the two didn't see a red Gyarados but instead an old man and a boy around their age. The two seemed to notice Dawn and Barry, and decided to finish whatever they were doing another day. So the Twinleaf natives let the other two past before seeing a briefcase probably left behind by the old man.

"Seems they left the briefcase behind." Barry said before excitedly shouting, "I wonder if it has Pokémon inside." Unfortunately that shout seems to of woken up a couple of Starly. Thankfully the briefcase popped open showing three Pokéballs each with a different symbol. The first one had a leaf on it, the second a flame and the last, a bubble. The two didn't take ages to choose but just grabbed the first one they saw with Dawn ending up with the bubble and Barry with the leaf.

As Dawn threw the Pokéball it snapped open before a Piplup appeared in a bright flash. Out of the corner of her eye, Dawn saw Barry get a Turtwig. Piplup looked like a small blue penguin with a yellow beak and feet. It had two white circles on his chest parallel to each other underneath a blue cape like extension coming off of his neck down his back. Turtwig looks like a green turtle with a brown shell. On his head a small sapling is seen. His jaw is yellow along with his feet. She shook her head before concentrating on her own battle. "Piplup use pound!" Dawn said before the penguin Pokémon shot forward and hit the flying-normal type with his flipper. The bird shook before screeching red sound waves at the water type lowering his attack power.

"Pound once more Piplup! Spike it!" Dawn shouted. Piplup ran towards the Starly before jumping into the air and spiking it to the ground. The Starly bounced off the ground for a second before fainting. "Yes! We did it Piplup!" The human excitedly shouted at the penguin Pokémon. Dawn and Piplup looked over at Barry and Turtwig win their battle.

But before the quartet could celebrate the boy with the old man showed up. He wore a light blue undershirt with a blue-white vest over it, a red scarf, baggy jeans, with red and grey shoes. He also wore a dark red hat with a white and blue semi Pokéball on the back. "That's where it is!" He exclaimed looking at the briefcase before glancing at us. "Wait are those the Professor's Pokémon? Oh no, he's going to kill me. I knew I should've kept hold of the briefcase but the thrill of seeing the lake was too much." He sighed before glaring at us. "Look I won't be able to put those Pokémon back in the case as it is now locked so you two will have to go to the Professor in person. Pray that he isn't too angry at you." The boy said ominously before speed walking away.

Dawn and Barry looked at each other before pointing their Pokéballs at Piplup and Turtwig respectively, putting them back. The two sighed before Dawn said, "We better get these two back to the Professor. He is probably missing them." They walked away from the lake to find the Professor and give him back the Pokémon.

Just before they got outside of Twinleaf town, the duo saw an old man with the boy from earlier. The old man had white hair and beard, and white lab coat. He also wore a light blue suit with grey shoes. In his left hand was the briefcase from before. He just looked at them before saying, "Hmm...I heard from Lucas that you used our Pokémon?" So this was the Professor and that boy from before was Lucas. "Let me see them please."

Not wanting too get into any more trouble we quickly send out the Pokémon. "Hmm... Piplup and Turtwig... ... Hmm...I see... That's how it is..." We quickly looked at each other in worry, wondering what the Professor saw. "Lucas!" He quickly shouted before calming down. "I'm going back to my lab!" And with that he ran of in what looks like the direction to Sandgem town.

Lucas looked as confused as we probably are before saying, "Uh... Yeah, of course! Professor, wait for me!" He turned to us. "You should visit us at our lab later, I think." Lucas suddenly looked happy. "We'll be seeing you!" Before joining the Professor.

We just looked in confusion before Barry said, "What was that craziness about," before looking at me, "I mean,if he was angry, he could've just yelled at us, or whatever...And didn't he want their Pokémon back... Dawn...We should go home, too..." So we did.
When I got home mom immediately asked me, "What's up, dear?...Wow. I can't believe that happened to you. Am I ever glad that both you and Barry are unharmed." Mom looked relieved before looking thoughtful. "The Professor you mentioned is most likely Professor Rowan of Sandgem Town. I've heard that he is well known for his studies on Pokémon. I hear he's also quite intimidating... Dawn, I think you need to visit him in Sandgem Town. You need to properly explain why you had no choice but to use his Pokémon." I started to get worried again and it must of shown on my face because mom said next, "Don't worry! I'm sure he will understand." Mom went silent again before getting up, going to a cupboard above the television, pulling out a box and giving it to me. "You should wear these dear. These are my Running shoes from when I was a coordinator and even if you don't want to be one, it will still make me happy if you use these.

I put the shoes on to find they were a perfect fit. I was about to try them out before mom threw something dark purple at my head. It was a phone. The phone was probably six by four inches with a Pokéball on the back surrounded by a galaxy. This was the Global Galactic Communications Device or GGCD for short and cost around 500,000 to get one. Mom just said, "Think of this as an early birthday present." I hugged her and ran out the door, ready to begin my adventure.

I ran the entire way to Sandgem Town, wanting to get this over with. If the Pokémon Professor is angry at me I'll never get a Pokémon and maybe he'll let me keep Piplup. Unfortunately on my way to Sandgem Town I was attacked by multiple Bidoofs. But we, me and Piplup, made it to Sandgem Town without any other problems. Just as we got outside the Town, I saw Lucas looking at us before coming over, grabbing my hand and dragging me to a laboratory. I was just able to put Piplup back in his ball. When we arrived at the building I was pushed inside and towards the Professor. I won't explain the conversation because it was just a lot of 'hmm's but in the end I got to keep Piplup and agreed to help complete the Professor's Pokédex with Lucas. Lucas also agreed to show me what to look for in every town as a trainer. But before I went with him I called mom and let her know what was going on.

Lucas showed me a red building called a Pokécentre where I can go and have my Pokémon looked at after a fight to make sure they are in good health, and stay for the night. He also showed me a blue building called a Pokémart where I can buy what a Pokémon trainer needs. I went inside the Pokécentre to get Piplup looked at before going inside the Pokémart to find what a trainer needs. I was clueless. Walking up to the clerk I asked what a trainer usually starts with. She looked at me before grabbing a box with ten Pokéballs, one white Pokéball, three potions and an antidote. I purchased it, spending all my money but it was worth it.

I decided to find Lucas, hopeful that he can teach me more about meting a trainer and going up route 202. When I caught up to him he just rubbed his head sheepishly muttering about forgetting to teach me how to catch Pokémon. Thankful I caught up to him so he can show me what I need to know. Lucas just sighed in relief before spotting a bidoof.

"Now Dawn," He began, "I'm going to show you how to catch Pokémon with my starter Pokémon Chimchar, come on out buddy." He said before releasing an Chimchar, the last Pokémon from the briefcase. Chimchar looked like a small red monkey with a flame for a tail. "Chimchar use scratch!" Chimchar ran towards the bidoof before scratching it with glowing claws. When bidoof staggered and was forced away from the attack, Lucas threw the Pokéball at the Pokémon which caused it to go inside the ball with a flash of white. After three shakes the ball pinged and Lucas picked it up. He turned to me. "Dawn, that is the basics of catching a Pokémon, you can weaken it a bit more or apply a status condition like paralysis or sleep if you are able to do so. But some Pokémon cannot be effected by certain conditions. It is up to you to find out which. Well know you should be able to catch your own Pokémon and become a true trainer. Good luck I cannot wit for us to meet again."
———one week later narrator pov———
Dawn had spent one week on route 202, training her Pokémon and catching new ones. In the week Dawn has caught a female Shinx with intimidate and a female Kricketot with shed skin. The Shinx she found when she decided to eat the berries Dawn had collected that day, the Kricketot being a similar case. She was going to get a Starly but figured she could get other flying types in other parts of the region. And Dawn didn't have the patience to try and train a Bidoof. Her Piplup had learned bubble, Shinx learned charge and Kricketot only knew bide and growl. But she knew Kricketot would become strong soon and maybe even learn a new move.

Dawn has decided that today will be the day she goes to the next town whatever town that is. On her way to the town though she encountered a fellow trainer. But unlike her, he didn't want a friend or someone to talk to, he just wanted a fight. He has mid-length purple hair with a strand going over the middle of his face, small dark eyes and a near permanent frown. He wore a purple jacket with navy blue sleeves, a blue undershirt, dark purple trousers, and purple and navy sneakers with white soles. But as he wanted to fight she wouldn't indulge until he started insulting her hometown.

So they stood face to face in a field with enough room for their Pokémon to fight but Dawn still had one question, "What is your name? If else are going to fight I what to know your name. I'm Dawn Ayako."

He just look at her with distain before answering, "Hm I suppose even a pathetic worm like yourself needs names, and you would what to know who beat you down. Very well, I'm Paul Shinji. Now lets fight."
