Her level of aggravation reaches its peak as she says, "I don't need to be reprimanded for how I feel. And you will not address me in such a condescending manner. I simply asked you for a favor, and I don't deserve to be ridiculed for it."
He's over her irrational behavior and doesn't buy into the drama. Again, being mindful of being in Isa's presence, as she begins to coo and grin at him. Something he's noticed over time she does whenever he is upset, as if she is sensing it and trying to calm him. He manages to maintain his calm as he says, "Jane. I am not going to get into a back and forth with you over this. Call her, or don't call her. That's my answer. I wish you a good day. Take care."
He hangs up the call before she can respond, and puts the phone down on the table. And just then, Kerry walks into the kitchen and instantly sees the expression on his face of pure annoyance. The expression causes her concern, as she approaches him asking, "What's wrong babe?" He looks up at her as he sits back in his seat. And says, "Nothing anymore." She gives him a curious look as she sits down across from him, and grabs Isa from the carrier as she asks, "Okay. What was it?"
He takes a breath, knowing she's not going to let it go. And, he can't blame her. Because he wouldn't either if the shoe was on the other foot. Honestly he says, "I just hung up with Jane." While holding Isa, and making funny faces at her, to entertain her, and listening to her laughs. She looks over at him as she replies, "What did she say that annoyed you so much? I know the list is endless." Her remark makes him chuckle. And she smiles at him in response.
He sips his coffee, as he responds, "You're not wrong about that. In a nutshell; she wanted me to call Liz to have her added to the visitation list to see dad." She turns Isa toward him, sitting her down on her lap, as she continues to bounce her on her knee, and allow her to grip her fingers. Something that Isa absolutely adores for some reason. And it cracks them up that she's so easily entertained.
He smiles, looking at his little girl; but still engages in conversation with his wife. Kerry now understands his annoyance, and says, "She's unbelievable. Why would she think you'd do that for her?" He shrugs his shoulders as he responds, "I have no idea. But, she surely knows now that it's not happening. So, if she doesn't get to visit with dad. It's on her."
She agrees but says, "She'll probably just get one of the girls to ask her." He responds, "I hope not. I asked her not to do that. But, you're probably right. I wish they'd say no if she asks. And if I were a lesser person; I'd ask them to refuse her request. But i'm not going to do that. It would be hypocritical of me to go that route; since I asked her not to involve them."
She again agrees with him as she replies, "You're right. It wouldn't be fair to pull the girls into this. How'd she react when you told her to leave them out of it?" He responds, "She got upset of course and told me I didn't have the right to tell her what to ask them."
She shakes her head as she says, "Of course she did. Because she needed to make this about you trying to tell her what to do. Despite the fact what she is trying to do being ridiculously childish and unnecessary." He nods as he says, "Exactly. She's the queen of deflection. I didn't realize that till now. It's interesting what you learn about people after the fact; even after spending half your life with them."
She takes note of his comment being steeped in reflection, as she says, "We develop blind spots for people we love; it's why we make excuses for them. And those blind spots clear up when our feelings for them fade." He nods in agreement as he says, "Very true. I just hope this doesn't become too much of a distraction for dad and his health. He needs peace and rest, not drama around who's coming to visit."
She sees him getting a bit upset again, the tension is building in his face. But, she again, acts like the voice of reason responds, "I agree, He doesn't deserve to endure any type of outside, petty drama like that. But, regardless of how childish Jane is being; I'm confident any drama will be shut down before Sam gets wind of anything. You know Liz doesn't play when it comes to him."
He has to admit she's spot on with that assessment. She is a daddy's girl; and will fight anybody who threatens him or his peace. Her fierceness reminds him of how protective his own girls have been in the past, and how Kerry had to deal with both Anna and Tess, when they began dating. They made it clear to her from the start that breaking his heart wasn't an option. Something he still appreciates from his baby girls', even though he never asked them to do it.
Her words do the trick, and she sees his facial features relax. Which makes her smile, knowing she can calm him down when needed. He then says, "There's no doubt Liz will and can handle this. I know dad's in good hands. Much like I am with my own girls." She grins in reply as she says, "Yes. Much like your own indeed. Isn't that right ladybug?"
Isa smiles and drools, making them both smile as Tony gets up and grabs her up into his arms, tickling her and making her laugh louder. And Kerry snacks on her hashbrown and sausage patty her love made for her. These are the mornings she cherishes with her family.
Tony is playing with his baby girl. And being sure to be present. In the back of his mind he knows all will work out for the greater good with Jane visiting his father. And he can't be worried about it anymore; as his dad told him recently, don't let arbitrary things take away from the true joys of life. Always make an effort to be present in those moments, instead of being distracted about things that don't matter as much.
Taking a page out of his father's book; he continues to enjoy his daughter and he and Kerry spend the rest of the morning together as a family. As Kerry brings him up to speed with the holiday plans for their time in New York for Thanksgiving.
She explains, it's best for them to leave out tomorrow. So they can arrive before the rest of the family and get settled. She wants to be there in advance so she can help with the baking and cooking. And he can go out with her dad to get the Christmas Tree. The way her face lights up when she talks about the holidays makes his heart smile. He listens intently and agrees with the plans. He's excited to stay with her parents in her childhood home; it will be the first time they've stayed there during a visit. And he can tell she's excited too. She's talking a mile a minute and he can barely get a word in edgewise; but it's absolutely fine. He doesn't mind it a bit. Her happiness is all that matters to him.
As the morning comes to an end Kerry gets the packing completed, and she and Tony hit the gym in the basement while Isa naps. Knowing they won't have a chance to work out while on their trip, and working out together comes at a premium with baby Isa in the house. This workout is a welcomed change in pace of the day.
They both feel like working out is their sanctuary on any given day. It's where all of their frustrations can be released, leaving them feeling refreshed and ready to face the world again. And, with the addition of them working out together, with the benefit being them often relinquishing their riled up aggression post workout with each other. It's something they both enjoy most of all.
As Kerry finishes the last of her end of workout stretches. She hears a grunt from behind her, that let's her know somebody is watching her, and likes what they see. When she looks between her legs, as she's bent over. She sees her husband pumping free weights and watching her every move. She smiles as she asks, "See something you like?" He licks his lips as he replies, "I think you know the answer to that. But since you're looking at me too; i could ask you the same thing." Considering he's shirtless, sweaty, and ripped to the gods, while wearing some grey fitted compression shorts. That's giving his swinging anaconda attention it absolutely deserves. He's not wrong;
As her eyes scour his body from head to toe; her temperature rises as she feels an intense throb from between her thighs. Lustfully, she bites her bottom lip, and her mouth begins to salivate.
He too is overwhelmed by the sight before him. Her black low cut waist leggings, with sheer sides, are accentuating her petite, well built frame. He loves those leggings on her. Her muscular legs and thighs that make up her sexy bottom half are incredibly pronounced. As her voluptuous ass protrudes before him, he can see she's commando as she extends her bending, showing off her flexibility.
The plumpness of her bread basket showing through the material causes his member to pulsate. Damn, he thinks. Combine that with the appearance of her tight, firm ass, bouncing in front of him, just begging to be smacked, licked and fucked. And it's highly unlikely this workout will end in any other way than normal between them.
With his nature rising like a flash flood. His desire to touch her becomes more so a demand than a subtle thought. And the more he watches her, he can tell she's in the same space. He sees her widened, engaged eyes and knows she too is desiring him.
Decidedly looking to put an end to the pretense of the moment. He puts down his weights and walks over to her; and despite her seeing him walking toward her. She is surprised by his touch.
As she stands up; he presses himself against her as he growls in her ear, and she feels his breath on her neck. Unrelenting moans escape her mouth, as she feels his muscular arm, and determined hand slide down her sweat soaked, well defined stomach, and it settles between her thighs. He begins massaging her folds, and the sensation heightens her arousal even more.
She wants him so badly she's about to spontaneously combust. Motivated to get this party started right now. She presses her ass against him, and to her delight he thrusts his hips forward to meet her. The contact says it all. No words are needed; they both know what's set to happen next.
