I own nothing except parts you do not recognise. If I did own Pokémon then Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl wouldn't be in chibi style. I know that a lot of people want my other stories to continue but I don't know when I will get to them, if I do get back to completing them. Try to be patient and I may get back to them at some point. The dots in between each chapter is just a way for me to separate each chapter easily as the site wouldn't allow me to properly separate each chapter.

Dawn and the newly named rival Paul stood across from each other on the field. Both clutching a Pokéball in their hand. At an unheard signal they threw the balls releasing their Pokémon onto the battlefield. Dawn summoned her Kricketot and Paul brought out an Elekid. Elekid is a yellow, round-bodied Pokémon with black stripes. Elekid's arms are bulky in proportion to it's body, and has three claws for fingers. It has two stripes on it's arms, which wrap all the way around. There are two horns on top of it's head that resemble the prongs in a plug, complete with holes in their sides. On it's chest is a black lightning bolt marking on it's chest with two rows of stripes cascading around the lower back near by. It's legs are black and toeless.

.

"I'll go first, Elekid use thundershock!" Elekid spun it's arms, generating electricity before shooting it at Kricketot.

"Kricketot, bide quickly!" Kricketot started to glow white before being hit by the thundershock.

"Don't let up Elekid, that pathetic bug can't last forever!" Elekid kept sending shock after shock at the bug type, each attack adding to the glow. Just as Elekid was going to launch it's third attack, Kricketot suddenly screeched, sending a beam of white, condensed energy at the electric type, hitting the Pokémon and sending it sprawling away.

The electric Pokémon was covered in burns as it struggled to stand before getting to it's feet, glaring at Kricketot. "Good, so you aren't as pathetic as I thought Elekid. Get in there and hit that bug with a quick attack!" Elekid started to stagger before glowing white and running towards Kricketot.

"Kricketot, growl into bide!" Kricketot screamed her name, lowering Elekid's attack before glowing white again. Elekid slammed into the bug before she started glowing white and launched the electric type across the field. The Pokémon has fainted.

.

"Of course you are worthless. Unfortunately you are my only Pokémon so I'm stuck with you." Paul venomously spat before returning the Pokémon and stomping away. Dawn and Kricketot just looks on aghast at what someone could do to their own Pokémon. The trainer just returned her Pokémon before pulling up the map app on her GGCD and followed it to her location the next town, called Jubilife City.

.

Jubilife City was a large place full of tall buildings, the Jubilife TV Station, where popular TV shows are filmed and produced along with radio chat shows, the Global Trading System, a place where trainers can trade Pokémon with each other globally, and the Pokétch Company that develops and sells Pokétchs. But Dawn didn't need a Pokétch as she has her GGCD. Dawn was planning to leave Jubilife and find some more Pokémon and the first gym, but remembered there was a trainer's school near the centre of the city.

.

The trainer school was a barn-like building with a bell tower in the centre and a golden Pokéball symbol above the door. Any trainer was welcome at any time and could stay as long as they want, but only if they wanted to learn. And Dawn wanted to learn about being a good trainer so she decided to stay for a full semester.

————Four Months Later————

Dawn studied for the full time she was there and came out of the school a new person. She never knew what a trainer had to memorise like type advantages and disadvantages, every status condition, Pokémon habitats, it was mind boggling. But she succeeded and became a Pokémon encyclopaedia, passing at the top of her class. It was difficult at first, being forced to memorise all those facts. But now, hopefully, she could become the best trainer possible.

.

Dawn went upwards out of Jubilife, her home for many months, up towards route 204 before passing a fishing shop. Unfortunately, Dawn didn't have the money for a good rod so she settled with an old rod, with a warning from the cashier, "Be careful, that rod can only catch Magicarp which are usually protected by a Gyarados."

.

And with that, Dawn spent a week at route 204, catching and training Pokémon to help fill up the Professor's Pokédex. In the week her Pokédex acquired multiple pages. The first was catching a new Pokémon, Budew, the grass and poison type Pokémon. She was sleeping whilst Piplup and Shinx was training, and got caught up in the crossfire. She also poisoned both of the Pokémon causing Dawn to rush towards the Pokécentre with an anxious Budew on her tail. She stayed with the group while Piplup and Shinx were being treated, and willingly allowed herself to be captured afterwards. Budew is a bipedal, rosebud-like Pokémon. Her face is yellow with small, slit-like eyes, and appears to wear a purple bib, with stubby, triangular yellow feet. The two vines on Budew's head can open up to reveal a different coloured dot on each vine one being black, the other purple. The tip of the vines were the same colour as Budew's face, and according to Professor Rowan, who came personally, confirmed that the Budew was of odd colouring, called shiny. These types of Pokémon were incredibly rare and, while not offering anything battle wise, were sought after by many collectors.

.

The second page was dedicated to Kricketune, the evolution of Kricketot, and learned fury cutter, allowing the Pokémon to attack without getting hit. Well Kricketune will still get hit but now she doesn't need to be hit to attack. Kricketune is a bipedal Pokémon with an insectoid appearance. Primarily red, there are three black, oval markings on her abdomen, a tan streak running down her neck to her belly, and a tan underside with a small, dark red marking above it. She has oval, grey eyes, and a dark red, round nose. Black feelers with curled tips extend from either side of her nose, similar in appearance to a moustache. On top of her head are two antennae with conical bases, spherical centres, and long, thin tips. Kricketune has two small feet and a pair of black wings. Her arms are similar shaped to her antennae and make a soothing noise when rubbed together. Whilst her typing didn't change, her ability went from Shed Skin to Swarm.

.

The last page was dedicated to a blue haired, light purple Ralts. He is a psychic type with the rare move will-o-wisp. Dawn caught him when he teleported into her sleeping bag looking very ill. After rushing him to the Pokécentre, nurse Joy told Dawn the Ralts was suffering from dehydration, starvation and numerous cuts, not dissimilar to a trap. The Pokémon nurse believes that the Ralts, due to his rare colouration like her Budew, was being hunted and, like with Budew, told Dawn to keep the Ralts safe. That is something she would do without question.

———one week later (again)———

For the last week Dawn and her Pokémon had been travelling to Oreburgh city so she could fight in the first gym. She and her team were looking forward to it, with everyone being battlers except Kricketune who would dance through a battle. Currently they were in a tunnel heading towards the exit when Dawn turned towards her Budew and said, "I can already tell, this next stop, the first gym is going to be the start to the greatest adventure of our lives." Budew just nodded knowing such a wonderful moment in the beginning of their lives as a trainer and Pokémon didn't need to be spoiled by words. The two neared the exit, and when they passed the threshold, a bright light blinded them both before they saw what awaits them.

———three years later—–—

It was the match of a century. The champion of the Sinnoh region, Cynthia, vs the rookie from Twinleaf town who worked her way up for three years for this moment. Dawn has fought all eight gym leaders along with the four elite four members and the battle frontier brains.

.

Dawn is considered one of the top trainers in her generation and has changed along with her Pokémon. Dawn now wears an outfit slightly more suitable for the cold weather of Sinnoh. She now wears a long-sleeved red sweater-dress with multiple pink buttons on it, a white scarf, and a white bag. She also wears white knee-length socks instead of black ones, pink hair clips replacing her gold ones, and lighter-coloured pink boots. But despite the cold weather Dawn doesn't have any trousers or even leggings on to protect her legs, something that baffles scientists around the region. Her team now has an Empoleon, a Luxray, an blue Gallade, an off-coloured Roserade, a Togekiss, and her secret weapon, a green eyed, purple Darkrai gifted to her by a man looking similar to the mythical Pokémon.

.

Empoleon is a large, navy-blue, penguin like Pokémon. He has a wide, yellow beak that extends upward into three pointed horns that form a trident-shaped crest bracketing blue eyes. Large horns are a symbol of leadership and strength amongst the Empoleon and Dawn's were the largest seen naturally. There is a blue marking resembling a crown over his eyes and a white, lacy marking running down his chest. A blue, fin-like projection forms a collar around his throat and runs down the length of his chest and belly. On his back are two raised, golden bumps and a second blue fin that forms a tail. His yellow feet are webbed with three toes each and his feathers form ruffs above his feet. He has wide, flipper-like wings rimmed with blue along the tips, and three golden claws. His moveset has changed to whirlpool, drill peck, ice beam and toxic.

.

Luxray is a quadrupedal Pokémon resembling a fully-grown lion. While her face, hind legs, torso, and the back of her front legs are blue, much of her body is covered with shaggy, black fur. The fur is longer around the shoulders and the base of the tail, and forms a mane on its head. She has yellow eyes with red sclerae, a blunt muzzle, and rounded ears with yellow insides. There are three yellow, half rings on the back of each foreleg. Her long, thin tail is tipped with a yellow four-pointed star. Luxray has powerful eyesight that is capable of seeing through most objects and walls, like X-ray vision. She uses this ability for hunting and keeping track of her offspring. However, this ability requires a lot of electricity to use. As a result, Luxray needs to sleep for long periods of time in order to store up more energy. Her moveset has changed to thunder fang, rain dance, thunder and toxic.

.

Gallade is a white, bipedal Pokémon. His lower body consists of rounded hips with strong legs. He has a thin blue torso with sharp, red horns sticking out of his chest and back. His arms are shaped like tonfas with extendable blades in his elbows. His head resembles a gladiator's helmet with a white face, red eyes, and a silver head crest. He has spikes on the sides of its face. He is a master of courtesy and swordsmanship that is capable of predicting his foe's moves. True to Gallade's honorable warrior image, he is just as protective of their Trainer as his counterpart Gardevoir, using the blades on his elbows to defend. Gallade is known to be sharply aware of a person's wish for help and seeks out those who need his assistance in battle. His moveset is psycho cut, will-o-wisp, x-scissor, and toxic.

.

Roserade is a bipedal Pokémon with an appearance that incorporates features of roses and masquerade attire. She has hair made of white rose petals, and a leafy, green cape with a yellow, collar-like bangle on her neck. The cape pattern reaches toward the back of her head, in spiky, sepal-like extensions on the hair. She has a teal-green mask over its pink, yellow-lidded eyes. The lower portion of her face is light green, and she holds a bouquet in each hand, with a purple in her right hand and black in her left. Her limbs and underside are light green. Her feet end with light-green tips. Roserade lures prey with a sweet aroma. The more toxic her poison, the sweeter her aroma becomes. Each hand has different toxins, but both hands can jab with near-deadly power. The right arm of Roserade can launch poison faster, while the left arms launch the poison more slowly. Roserade's poison can be life-threatening. She attacks with a dancer-like elegance and uses hidden whips covered with poisonous thorns. Roserade knows the moves mega drain, weather ball, sludge bomb, and toxic spikes.

.

Togekiss is a white, avian Pokémon with an ovoid body. While his feet are small and situated closely together, his wings are broad and triangular. Red and blue triangular markings over his underside, and he has a short tail consisting of three feathers. On the back of his head are three spikes: a red-tipped one on the right, a blue-tipped one on the left, and a pure white one in the middle. Togekiss has a relatively flat face and small, black eyes. Togekiss have long been known worldwide as bringers of blessings, being depicted on good-luck charms since ancient times. However, they only appear in peaceful places and have never been witnessed anywhere near conflict or turmoil, making their recent sightings exceptionally rare. He shares many kind gifts and sweet blessings when he visits peaceful places or sees people who avoid strife and respect the rights of others. Togekiss knows the moves aura sphere, ancient power, psycho shift, and toxic.

.

Darkrai is a dark-purple, shadow-like Pokémon. It has a small head with a grey fog-like ghostly plume billowing from its head covering one of its bright green eyes, with the portion on its face resembling hair. It also has a reddish-purple spiky growth around its neck. It has skinny arms and long dark-purple tatters hanging from its shoulders. It also has dark-purple, claw-like hands. It has the slight appearance of an hourglass figure and appears to be wearing an old, ripped cloak. It normally does not have any sort of legs, but it is able to extend stilt-like appendages in their place. In self-defense, Darkrai can retract its head and white "plume" into the pit atop its torso fringed by the aforementioned reddish-purple growth. Darkrai knows dark void, dream eater, calm mind, and toxic.

.

Yes all of Dawn's Pokémon know toxic. This is because, through trial and error, Dawn learned that toxic is one of the best status conditioning moves as poison damage continuously stacks. The only Pokémon she would have problems with is steel types but they can always be taken out other ways. Dawn shook her head, there would be time to think back later after her fight.

"Dawn I hope you can give me an amazing battle, one to be remembered throughout history. No matter who the victor is." Cynthia shouted from across the stadium. Cynthia is a tall, and slender young lady with wavy knee-length creamy blonde hair that has bangs covering her left eye. Her eyes are grey. She wears straight black leg trousers, a long black coat with a V neck and black fur rimming the cuffs and running down the end of the coat and a large teardrop shaped ornament on the center of the coat, probably used as a fastener, she also dons a black top underneath. Her outfit is finished with black kitten heels and a yellow stripe on each shoes. For accessories she wore a large, black feathery ruff around her neck with two hair clips in her hair, both resembling two teardrop-shaped object conjoined with a pale yellow stripe.

"I will Cynthia. I'll make sure this battle is to remember by taking your title as champion!" Dawn declared to shocked audience. Whilst people have tried over the years, no one had ever taken the title, or declared they would with such confidence. It was as if she had commanded the universe, no Arceus herself, to grant the Twinleaf native this victory.

Once she got over her shock, Cynthia just laughed, not in a humiliating way but a welcoming one, "If anyone could do so, that conviction in your voice tells me you could Dawn. I wish you good luck!" The champion shouted getting a challenging grin and nod back. They grasped a Pokéball in their hands before throwing and summoning their Pokémon. Dawn brought forth her Luxray against Cynthia's Milotic. The battle had begun.

.

"Luxray, use toxic!" Luxray slammed the ground with her front paws releasing a sickly purple glow for a brief second before the ground beneath Milotic exploded in a purple goo. At least before the goo shot back at Luxray, Milotic giving of a soft pink shine.

"Dodge to the left then use rain dance!" Luxray dodged just in time before glowing a dark blue and summoned a multitude of dark clouds floating above the stadium before releasing a shower unto everyone.

"Thank you for that, Milotic ice beam!" Cynthia commanded before Milotic released an ice-blue beam, shooting towards the electric type, freezing the ground underneath.

"Luxray, thunder on the ground in front of you!" Luxray was surrounded in a thunderous yellow aura before firing a yellow bolt on the ground creating a cloud of dust before it was frozen leaving behind an untouched Luxray amidst sparkling snowflakes. "Now charge in with a thunder fang!" Luxray's mouth began sparking before she ran forward, leaving a dust cloud in her wake.

"Milotic, surf!" Was all that was needed for Milotic to summon an tsunami that was enhanced from the rain dance.

Dawn just smirked. "Luxray, surround yourself in a thunder." Luxray smirked as well and jumped into the wave surrounded in yellow electricity shocking Milotic and dispersing the wave. When Milotic was directly in front of the electric type, she bit into the water type creating a cloud of fog hiding the screaming Milotic.

When the fog dispersed Luxray was standing tall, arks of lightning dancing between her fur, above a twitching, sparking fainted Pokémon. The crowd was silent before a roar was heard, each member of the audience crying out in awe at what had happened, no one had ever taken down one of the champion's Pokémon so easily, even Cynthia was shocked before she smiled.

"Looks like I was right. This is going to be a battle to remember and I am glad to be apart of it. But don't get arrogant, as the battle will just get harder from here on out." Cynthia said with a smile.

"I would hope so. A champion has to live up to her status, correct?" Dawn smiled humorously. Cynthia just chuckled and sent her next Pokémon out, Lucario.

"Luxray, return!" Dawn said, bringing her Pokémon back before sending, "Gallade, come out!" Gallade came out in a majestic shower of sparkles as the rain cleared up. "Your move champion!" Dawn shouted.

"Aura sphere, full power Lucario." Lucario fired an blue sphere of energy at Gallade before it was ordered to, "Use psycho cut!" 'Into will-o-wisp.' Dawn psychically ordered. Gallade's arms started glowing pink before a wave of psychic energy was released towards the aura sphere, followed by three balls of blue flames. The wave hit the sphere, cancelling each other, before the will-o-wisp shot forward towards Lucario.

"Psychic Lucario, send those flames back at Gallade." The fighting/steel type's eyes began glowing pink before the balls of fire glowed in the same colour, did a u-turn and flew back towards Gallade. Without any spoken command, Gallade slid underneath the flames before running at his opponent full tilt, his arms glowing light-green forming an X at his chest. The attack his, barely damaging Lucario before Gallade disappeared and three will-o-wisp hit. Lucario screamed in pain before it was hit by a psycho cut followed by another.

"Lucario, earthquake now!" Cynthia shouted in worry. Lucario had never been hurt like that before. The aura practitioner winced through the pain before slamming it's fist down and releasing the earthquake. The entire stadium shook at the power and it was enough to push Gallade into the floor, trapping him in the crevices and knocking him out. Unfortunately the energy output was too much for the weakened Lucario an it too passed out. A double K.O.

The two returned their Pokémon before releasing their next. For Dawn it was Togekiss, for Cynthia it was Gastrodon. Dawn took the first move.

"Togekiss, toxic into aura sphere!" Togekiss slammed a wing on the ground before launching an aura sphere straight at his target. Cynthia smiled at the combos Dawn was learning. By using toxic Gastrodon would have to dodge to the left or right, and be force to take the aura sphere. If it jumped backwards the aura sphere could become imbued with the toxic making that jump pointless. And jumping forward would just cause Gastrodon to be hit faster. Unfortunately for Dawn, Gastrodon knew, "Muddy water and ride on it." Gastrodon summoned a wave of earth-brown water from underneath it before jumping on to of the wave and riding it over the sphere.

The sphere destroyed the wave and at an unspoken command, Gastrodon landed in the ground using earthquake, sending rocks and boulders into the air before commanding them to fly at the normal/flying Pokémon with stone edge. "Togekiss into the air and use ancient power to destroy all of the rocks!" Togekiss flew into the air before flapping his wings and sending a barrage of rocks at the stone edge. Togekiss than glowed red for a second, alerting his trainer that he was buffed by the ancient power. Dawn smirked before ordering an, "Aura sphere, full power!" Togekiss, being buffed up, launched the sphere much faster than before, and before his opponen notice, was hit. The crowd and Cynthia were shock as, once again, one of her Pokémon were taken out in one hit.

The judge for the match shouted out, "As one trainer has lost three Pokémon a fifteen minute break will be issued. Nether trainer is allowed to heal their Pokémon but they are allowed to think of an further strategy and this allows the field to be fixed." Dawn and Cynthia looked at each other and nodded in respect. Both had a smile on their face before turning around and walking to their respective waiting rooms.
