When the call ends, they both take a breath. But before either can speak, they hear a familiar cry. She looks at him, and he says, "Go get her. I'll prep hers and our lunch, and we can chat as we eat. Then you can call Judy back." Agreeing with his plan, she pecks his lips sweetly before walking off to grab their little girl, but not quick enough for him to miss popping her on the behind, as he groans, "Damn." She shakes her head as she walks away grinning. He turns around with a smile too, knowing she enjoys his obsession with smacking her ass.
A few minutes later she returns to the kitchen, and to her delight the high chair is set up and their meals are on the table too. As Tony walks over to her, while she's holding their little one, who is clicking her tongue and smiling at him. She says, "Oh wow. You work fast babe." He pecks her lips as he winks at her as he replies, "Yup. I learned from the best."
Adoring his sweetness, she says, "Thanks honey." He responds, "You're welcome." In a timely fashion, Josie comes around the corner, popping up on her hind legs, looking up at Kerry. A sight that makes them both laugh, as Tony puts Isa in her chair, and Kerry opts to show Josie some attention for a bit.
She picks her up, she feels bad. Because she hasn't played with her all day. She says, "Babe, i'm going to play with her for a minute, while you feed Isa, okay?" He of course wanted to stick to their original plan, but he recognizes Josie's obvious need for attention. So, he replies, "Okay. We can talk later." She smiles at him, loving his understanding and flexible nature.
Her play time with Josie is much longer than she anticipated it would be. She ended up taking her for a walk too, something they hadn't done yet that day, allowing her to use the doggie door for her morning potty break. And while Tony was amped to talk to Kerry; he concedes to them both caring for their girls taking priority.
Times like this remind him despite how crazy life gets Their family will always take priority, and that's something he loves about their relationship. Without fail, they have kept that commitment, and he doesn't see it changing any time soon.
When Kerry gets back from walking Josie, she comes into the living room to the sight of her husband being the consummate play mate. Her daughter's giggles and screams are absolutely adorable and she can't get enough of them. When she plops down on the couch next to him, while Isa is in her bouncer in front of them. He leans over and kisses her sweetly. As their kiss breaks, Josie climbs into her lap, and they both look at each other as he looks at Josie, and says, "Don't be jealous Jo Jo. You'll always be our first baby girl." Josie gives him love, and he and Kerry swap places on the couch, so she can play with Isa, and he can finish up with Josie.
After getting Isa and Josie settled; they meet in the kitchen to finally get a bite to eat. When they sit down, they both take a breath, and then chuckle. Tony asks, "Why do I feel like it should be night time already?" She smiles as she looks at the clock and sees it's just past 2pm. And replies, "Because in this house we do more before noon than most folks." He has to agree with her, "They're always on the move in one way or another all day, non stop.
As they manage to get several bites in of their fall harvest salads; Kerry says, "My God I love this." He nods as he responds, "Yeah, it's delicious. It's got to be my favorite one we've made." She nods in response as she replies, "Yeah. Who knew freshly could make such excellent food. We've got to thank Liz appropriately for turning us on to it. It's been a time saver and everything we've had has been amazing." He's more than halfway done at this point, as he says, "No arguments from me. I don't like salad normally as a meal. But, this has converted me."
She too gets beyond the halfway point within a few more minutes, and he asks, "So how was the walk?" She takes a sip of iced tea as she replies, "It was good. Josie really enjoyed it. It's obvious she prefers us walking her to using the doggy door." He nods as he says, "Yeah i know. But our schedule doesn't always allow for walking her babe. That's why we installed it."
She finishes her bite as she responds, 'True. But, i feel bad when she feels like we are ignoring her." He understands her point and says, "Okay. Let's make it a point to be more vigilant with her. We need to schedule at least one walk a day, and if possible we all go together." She smiles as she responds, "I like that. Let's do it." He finishes his last bite as he replies, "Consider it done." She smiles at him as she sits back in her seat, and says, "You're amazing you know that?"
He jokingly replies, "No. Tell me more." They both laugh as she replies, "Seriously honey. You always do what's necessary for us, and our family. And while I know we agreed to prioritize us. When you do it; it really puts me in awe of you, because you do it so effortlessly."
He grins as he responds, "If you're trying to get in my pants, you should know. You don't have to try that hard. In my head, I already have you bent over this table, and ready to cum for the fourth time." His remark is so inappropriate and so damn funny, she busts out into laughter, as she replies, "You're an absolute fool." He responds, "Yes. And you love it." Admittedly, he's right. She does. She loves all of him, his silliness, his seriousness, everything that is him; she truly loves from top to bottom.
He sees her somewhat in her head, and slides around the booth shaped table, to be next to her. He knows she's deep in thought, because when she comes back to the moment. She jumps a bit, seeing he's beside her.
He quickly says, "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. But where were you just now?" She smiles as she replies, "It's okay. I was just thinking about how in love I am with you." He smiles at her, seeing the sincerity in her eyes and feeling it in her tone, he responds, "I love you too baby." His reply is simple and sweet, and some would say expected. But, in that moment; she feels his love more than ever before.
Suddenly, there's a shift in the air. They share smiles of love and adoration, as he strokes her face with his hand, and she stares into his big, blue eyes. And, within seconds, the pull in their hearts draws them together. As they share the sweetest, most intimate kiss, putting a bow on yet another special moment they've shared.
Post kiss, they relax at the table together in silence; just enjoying the moment, still cuddling. Their pause ends when she says, "I talked to Judy while walking Josie." He replies, "Oh, what's up?" She repositions as she looks up at him, while putting her feet up on the opposing cushion across from her, as she says, "Surprisingly, it was in reference to a possible project with HBO." He's confused momentarily and his facial expression outs him; but she lets him respond, as he replies, "What do you mean? Is she doubling as your agent?" She responds, "I know. It was kind of odd to me too at first. But, her and I were talking about post Scandal projects previously. So, when she heard the network is looking at possible topics for various docuseries they'll be releasing; she thought of me."
He's instantly impressed and excited for her; she can see the glean in his eyes, as he replies, "Wow! That's amazing Ker. Any idea what they're working on, or what the project is specifically?"
She adores his giddiness as she says, "All i know right now is that they're looking for powerful and poignant topics; so to me that means I'd have to pitch an idea. And they'll determine if they're in agreement with it."
He agrees with her, that's what he'd think too. Curious of where this could go; he asks, "Did you want me to make some calls to get some more intel?" She appreciates his offer, but replies, "That's sweet babe. But no. I already reached out to Robyn. She said she's going to do some research and get back to me. So, hopefully I'll get a response soon, and maybe a meeting."
The smile on her face is adorable; he loves it when she's this happy. Her smile is pure magic. He grins at her as he replies, "That's great honey. I hope it works out to be something great for you. Maybe even a production credit opportunity." She nods as she says, "That's exactly what i was thinking about too. Maybe it's time I start taking the idea of starting my own production company seriously."
He nods in response, and before he can say anything. She says, "I know we've talked about this before, and i wasn't exactly receptive to making a move. I'm sorry.." He stops her as he interjects; "Babe, there's no need to apologize. You weren't ready then, but it feels and sounds like you're ready now. And that's all that matters."
