A/N: I know it's been a while but I hope this chapter makes you think about forgiving me.

It had been a couple of days since they left to go on their adventure, and it had been hell.

When she read the stories about gran adventures like this it sounded like so much fun. Two best friends go on an adventure together to find some sort of McGuffin. This was not that story.

They had been flying for a week now taking few breaks. She was hungry and sleepy, and her sunny yellow and mango orange scales had dulled into a stormy gray. She wanted to go home and lay in the sun eating mangos not flying on an empty stomach.

" We should be there by night fall" Aroura called from up ahead.

" It's about time we got there"

" Come on it's been fun. We've seen more of the world than most of the Rainwing have within a week"

"If only it was a month"

Queen stare, dragons have been spotted coming towards are wall. What would you like us to do?"

"If they come in peace escort them here other wise do what you always do"

"Of course, your highness"

The guard walked out the door before taking to the sky. She sighed sleepily deciding it was time to go to bed. she stepped off the throne just as she noticed a pale dragon make it to the bottom of the stares.

"What are you doing up so late dear?"

The prince looked up surprised panic on his face.

"I was just going for a walk."

"I told you that you're not allowed to leave the palace"

"I'm just going to see a friend"

"who exactly is this friend?"

"Her name is Pinguin"

The queen frowned. This is what she was afraid of. She didn't want her son meeting up with some girl in privet. She wouldn't let him become like her husband.

"Absolutely not"

" But-"

"No buts you will not leave this palace"

He stared at her with fire in his eyes. She stared at him with no sing of surrender and the fight left his eyes. He had lost.

"fine"

she smiled satisfied.

"Good. Sleep well dear"

He walked away without a response like all dragonets his age would. But he was a prince, he was not like other dragonets, and he had to learn that.

North sat on his animal pelt bed. He could not believe his mother! He made one friend that just happened to be a girl and he becomes a prisoner in his own house!

He looked out the window sadly before a brilliant idea came to him. He walked up to the window and smirked at the tiny houses below. Bet you never thought about this mother.

Aroura landed in front of the great ice wall. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. The gold and pinks of the dusk reflected on the clear ice making it look like a magical mirror.

It kind of looks really pretty. she thought to herself. She looked back at her plain white scales before concentrating on their colour. They changed from the pale colour to a similar ombre the wall had. Perfect!

"May I help you laddies?" What she guessed was a guard asked.

"Yes! I desperately need water and food and a bed a really big and fluffy bed. I'd also like some blankets it's freezing out here."

Aroura turned to glare at her friend. She really needed to work on her manners.

"Actually, we were hopping to meet with the prince. You see we have very important news"

"Well, I'd be happy to send a mess-"

"That won't be necessary. I'm perfectly fine delivering it myself"

"The guard looked at her suspiciously then sighed.

"Right this way laddies. Don't forget to grab a ring"

They got to the palace and were now siting in front of the thrones waiting for the king and queen. She turned to look at Romantic who was very bored.

"Lighten up we're about to meet the queen"

"If you don't remember I am heir to the throne therefor practically queen. Seeing some spiky dragon with a crown does not impress me."

She really didn't know why Romantic came. She complained the hole time coming here and now she didn't care about the hole reason they came.

The doors opened and two dragons came in. The first was female, she kept her head held high and looked elegant past the point of a queen. The second was male who looked very serious. The two took their seat in front of them, then the women spoke.

"What is your news"

"Well, your highness we have come to talk about your son"

"I see, and what exactly is your name"

"Aroura my lady"

The queen seemed to relax at the sound of her name. Maybe she was expecting her mother or a norther young dragonet claiming to be her son's child.

"Well Aroura, what exactly do you need with my son"

She paused. What was she supposed to say? Well, my lady your son had some fun with a random Rainwing and BOOM I was born.

"Well, your highness...I believe I'm your son daughter."

"WHAT!"

Both of the dragonets winced at her screech. That was not what she had expected.

"MY SON HAS A DAUTER THAT I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT! HOW DARE HE! I TOLD HIM TO STAY AWAY FROM THAT DAMNED DRAGONET!"

"You must be mistaken" The king spoke for the first time. "Our son is only nine you look to be about seven or eight. It' simply not possible"

"Well, these girls say it's possible!"

"Who exactly is you mother Aroura?" the king asked ignoring his wife.

"She is a Rainwing your highness. Her name is Grapefruit. She came here eight years ago and met the prince. She said it was love a first sight."

" Well then your mistaken laddies. The prince was only one at that point it must have been a different prince"

The queen stiffened and her sweetness seemed to fade.

"Well then I suppose you're my daughter in law" the queen said stubbornly.

Everyone in the room gasped. Her father was the king? Why was the queen not furious? they had obviously already been together if they had a child.

"I'll have the maids prepare rooms for you. In the morning we shall all celebrate the unknown princess. I'm sure that your half bother and sister will be more then happy to see you"

"That's really not necessary-"

"But it is dear"

"My love" the king said to his wife. "If you don't want to it's fine. I'm not sure what made this happened, and we don't need this to be public"

"Please dear if you didn't want it public you wouldn't have let it happen"

"It was a mistake"

"I thought you didn't know what happened"

He went silent not knowing what to say. He had trapped himself.

" Perhaps we should make a toast" the queen said eagerly. She looked at a guard and only a few seconds later he appeared with a platter of drinks.

"To the unknown princess" she said looking at her husband. He looks at her frightened and she found herself enjoying it. She had been waiting for revenge and now she had it.

"To the unknown princess!" the two dragonets cheered.

They stared at shard waiting for him to repeat it. He sat there frozen in shock for a few moments before speaking.

" To the unknown princess"

And they drank.
