As the years flew by the two groups of friends became closer to each other and passionate rivals against the other. The first year was by far the most exciting and saddening Remus was practically disowned from his family for getting sorted into Slytherin.
But thankfully he had his friends to help him through it Janus even offered to let Remus stay with his family which Remus gratefully accepted.
About halfway through the year Janus and Remus found out about Bianca and quickly became like brothers to the adorable baby. Janus offered to have Virgil over as well but Virgil already had plans to live with Severus.
The Gryffindors year was just as exciting but with less sadness. The majority of the year was spent oohing and awing at everything in sight. Not much happened for them except that they found what they were talented at Roman was a natural in Quidditch and surprisingly Potions, Patton was brilliant with Herbology and couldn't wait for Care of Magical Creatures and Logan was good at everything but his particular strengths were Transfiguration and Charms.
Second year was the most boring by far but a few interesting things still happened such as Remus declaring Roman his lifetime rival via jumping onto the staff table and using a muggle loudspeaker, that got a lot of laughs and a months detention for Remus.
Bianca said her first words which were Dada at Virgil who totally didn't cry. Lastly, Virgil figured out how to make muggle technology work inside of Hogwarts but only the three of them knew. And what was Virgil's motivation 'he couldn't live without his tunes.'
Roman had the most exciting year out of the three Gryffindor's because he not only gained a rival but he also got really good at pranking charms and once made Remus sing his love for socks for over an hour.
Logans was interesting but that was for muggle reasons him and his father refused to stop his normal education. So over winter break he graduated from high school which got him two large parties one at home than another at Hogwarts.
Over the summer between second- and third-year Remus's older brothers approached him and apologized for their closed-mindedness and Remus after a lot of thinking forgave them but was saddened that his parents still held onto their bigoted beliefs.
Also, good news Severus officially got custody of Virgil making him Virgil Snape-Black because Virgil said he wanted to keep his last name and Snape respected that.
Third year was full of uncomfortable body changes but not in the way you think nope turns out fourteen is the age in which wizards and witches with creature blood goes through their inheritances. Janus wasn't surprised by his Naga inheritance but Virgil was it took Virgil a couple of days to not stare in complete shock and for it to go back to normal.
Remus got his Cthulhu inheritance but luckily it was diluted so he got some tentacles that he can retract and the ability to speak to sea creatures. Virgil didn't get an inheritance that anyone knew of but he did get a significant power boost and sometimes when he gets really passionate or angry the others swear his eyes turn purple.
Roman was surprised when he got a Siren inheritance of course his parental unit had warned hm but they had also told him that there was a good chance he didn't get it due to them being a Squib.
Patton got a small boost of power and later realized he could feel peoples emotions if he concentrated long enough.
Logan didn't get anything and he was perfectly fine with that but he did spend a long time studying both Patton and Roman and any other student who would allow him to.
Over the summer not much happened except for Janus's family finally realizing that another boy was bunking with Janus and that Janus had gotten an inheritance that had skipped the rest of the family. They weren't mad but rather indifferent and soon forgot Janus again but thankfully now Janus had friends to help him.
Fourth year was fun for everyone involved and both Roman and Remus noticed certain changes in there fights less angry more flirtatious but neither made the first move.
Patton was finally able to fully enjoy Care of Magical Creatures using his minor empath powers to know when it was time to back away from the creatures.
Virgil had started to sell his modified muggle tech to depraved muggle-borns and curious pure-bloods.
When they all dispersed from Hogwarts for the summer none of them could even guess what was going to happen the next time they stepped into Hogwarts hallowed halls.
