Super SmackDown Live: February 21, 2012
I sit with Cody. "I swear this is the least amount of people in our friend group that have been at a show at once in years."
Cody laughs. "Yeah, it's just me and you. Clearly we must be the best ones. Do you even have a match though?"
"No, I have an interview, so I do have a purpose to be here."
"Oh. I see. Is it for this WrestleMania storyline that Eve told me about?"
"Yes, it is. We officially are approved to go through with it, so I'm giving it a little spark to start."
"That's good for you guys. Do you think that this problem between Teddy Long and John Laurinaitis is going to escalate?"
"I know it will. It's going to split the roster. I've already picked my side. I want John Laurinaitis out of here."
"After what Randy mentioned to me about John Laurinaitis saying some things about your life, I can't blame you in the slightest."
"I know that some members of the roster will be unsure about opposing John Laurinaitis, but that sure as hell won't be me."
Cody nods. "I'm sure you'll find a way to get it done."
"When do I not, Cody? I'm going to find a way, one way or another."
"That's what I would expect from you."
"As you should. I'm going to grab some Catering. I'll see you later."
"See ya later."
I was eating food alone in Catering when Punk sat down with me.
"You're sitting alone, looking all annoyed." Punk says with a smirk. "Why are you stealing my thing, Marissa?"
I smile. "My husband isn't here, and I have only about five friends here tonight. There wasn't anything better for me to do."
"I understand that. I have a match against your dumbass ex boyfriend tonight."
"Which one? I have a couple of them."
"Daniel, I do face Chris at WrestleMania though."
I nod. "Is there any way you can give him a concussion?"
"You sound awfully bitter."
"It was insanely irresponsible, and he didn't even apologize. I'm pissed."
"I don't blame you. I shouldn't concuss him, but I'll get in a couple stiff shots for you and Randy."
"Thanks, Punk."
"Look who just walked in."
I roll my eyes as I look to see Daniel and Brie. "Would it be unreasonable if I confronted him about it?"
"You're asking the wrong person. I'm all about confrontations, Rissa."
"Maybe I'll do it if I hear him run his mouth."
"That sounds like a good plan. It'll start something with Brie though."
"If Brie wants to start that fight, I'll end it quickly."
"That sounds like you."
"I'm not happy with it. I'm going to go grab a drink."
I walk past Daniel to go grab a drink.
"Honestly, giving Randy a concussion was the best thing I could've done." Daniel tells Brie. "Plus, everyone believes it was accidental."
I feel my blood boil as I pour a drink.
"You better hope that it stays that way." Brie replies.
"Nobody is going to find out. Randy couldn't even tell it wasn't." Daniel tells Brie as I am about to pass them.
I stumble and spill my drink all over Daniel.
Daniel stands up angrily. "What the hell, Marissa?!"
I shrug. "Sorry, Daniel, it was unintentional."
"For some reason, I don't believe that." Brie comments.
"Brie, it was just as accidental as the concussion Daniel gave Randy."
Daniel gives me a dirty look. "You should apologize."
"Why? You didn't apologize for the concussion. Also, friendly words of advice, don't talk in the middle of Catering about how you intentionally concussed someone, especially when his wife is around. Heads up, I'm telling Randy the next time I talk to him. You should probably look out when he returns."
Daniel and Brie watch me as I walk away from them with a smirk on my face.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time." Matt Striker says as they start filming my interview. "She is the Queen of Chaos, Marissa Orton."
I smile. "Hi, Todd."
"Hi, Marissa. Before I ask you what you came here to get interviewed about, how is Randy doing?"
"Randy is currently at our home, recovering from his concussion. Things are going as they should. All I have to say is he'll be back sooner than later."
"That's wonderful. Now, what I'm here to talk to you about is Eve Torres. Obviously, you two are close. You were teammates in the Divas of Domination, and you remained friends past that, most recently being on the same side of a Tag Team match at Royal Rumble. You're her mentor. Eve's attitude has clearly taken a drastic turn. What are your thoughts about Eve's recent behavior?"
"Well, Todd. Eve has changed as a person, but I believe that she can learn from her mistakes and do better. If not, then she better not cross me." I walk away from the interview.
I watched as Punk hits Daniel with a Roundhouse Kick after Sheamus sends Daniel back into the ring for the pin and victory. However, John Laurinaitis came out and restarted the match.
"Son of a bitch." I mutter under my breath.
Daniel wins the match by using the ropes as leverage to pin Punk.
"Oh come on." I comment. "This is ridiculous."
Teddy Long came out and started to argue. Teddy then restarted the match again.
I raise my eyebrow at Daniel and Punk both managing to pin each other. The referee can't decide who to give the win to. Teddy and John argue over who won the match. John Laurinaitis gets in the ring and raises Daniel's arm. Teddy Long gets in the ring and raises Punk's arm. Teddy and John both take off their jackets as they yell at each other. Teddy throws his jacket at Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis throws it back, and Teddy walks away.
"Complete and utter chaos." I mutter.
Teddy arrives backstage and looks at me. "Forget all those worries I mentioned yesterday, Marissa. It's game on now."
