The Kingdome was in awe at the news. There was a secret princess all this time and no one knew, not even the king.
People buzzed with conversations some talking about how great it is to have a new princess, and some asking who the mother could be, but most disapproved of the scandal of a king they had. Yet no one objected to the royal family, just among themselves.
Stare sat satisfied at the work she had done. She got her revenge on her cheating husband, and now could finally go back to the calm relationship they once had.
" My queen," a dragon asked, " I find it quite kind of you to take this information so calm. Most would be furious after finding out their husband had cheated on them."
Stare made her best smile then said, " Well it was quite a shock at first, but after all these years he has proven his love to me. I trust him when he says that it is a mistake of the past."
" Well that is very kind of you. I do have one more question, if you don't mind?"
"Of course not."
"Do you believe that one of your daughters will take the throne, or is Aroura stronger?"
The queen was silent for a moment. What did he mean by Aroura taking the throne? She is queen and Aroura is not her daughter, so she can't take the throne. Then it hit her. Shard is from the royal family, the only reason she is queen is because she married him. Aroura could take the throne because she is a princess.
The queen gasped. She could not believe her mistake.
" I ummm... I'm not sure yet, I have not seen Aroura in battle yet."
" Yes I suppose that makes sense. We will just have to wait then I guess."
" Yes wait"
This was not good.
North sat in the courtyard watching his sisters and... his other sister tour around the palace. He found it boring, but had nothing else to do. Romantic sat next to him looking the same way he felt but twice as angry.
" Have you ever had a best friend stab you in the back?"
It was a strange question, onw he did not know how to answer. He had terrible luck with friend making the answer yes, but that was none of her business.
" I left my home, my warm home, to help her find her farther, and sure I wasn't supper fun on the way here but I still did it. And in return she goes and spends all her time with princesses leavening her best friend behind."
North was still speechless. He had no idea why this Rainwing was talking to him, let alone about personal stuff.
" I just miss my home, my family, my sloth and my friend."
He had no idea what to say, so he said the first thing that came to his head. " That's rough buddy".
