Chapter 4
"Wh-What?"
"Is it nice up there? Daddy and Mummy and Uncle Harry say that it's a nice place but I don't know-how. It can't be a great place if you being there makes Daddy and Uncle Harry sad." Teddy thought for a moment then continued
"Uncle James and Auntie Lily happy too? And Uncle Fred. Everyone gets really sad on Halloween and Vickys birthday and I wish everyone could be happy" As he finished Harry came in bouncing James
"Someone's clean, happy and ready to-what's happened" The room was silent and Fred looked horrified. Sirius was looking at Harry with tears in his eyes while Harry was refusing to look away.
"Harry they know" Ginny informed
"Know what?" Harry asked confusedly
"They know that we lose Sirius and F-Fred"
"Oh sweet Merlin" Harry murmured
"I'm Sorry! I just asked if Uncle Sirius was happy in heaven with your Mummy and Daddy Uncle Harry. I didn't mean to make people sad!" Teddy started to cry and was immediately wrapped in Harry's arms as James was handed to Ginny
"Is it true Prongslet?"
"Yeah" Harry mumbled as tears fell down his face and Ginny pulled the family close.
"Not everyone made it" Ginny sighed.
"Things go pretty downhill deaths wise at the end of this year. More people disappear and Sirius dies next summer. We don't lose anymore until the final battle".
"A y-year?" Harry asked softly and Harry meekly nodded.
"N-No you have to be lying this has to be fake or a hallucination or something"
"Why would I lie?"
"People are lying all the time! The Ministry thinks I'm a lunatic so I want proof!" Harry demanded
"What proof do you want? What do only we know?"
"I-I don't know"
"How about the Dursley's huh? How they locked us in our bedroom with barely any food in the summer after the first year? Or how about that we didn't have a proper bedroom until we were eleven because we slept in the cupboard under the stairs" Harry saw his past selves eyes fill with tears as he spoke
"I'm sorry and it sucks. It sucks big time and we still have bad days and I still miss Sirius. Especially with all this growing up stuff," He gestured to James and Teddy" it takes a while and a lot of talks with Remus before we get close to adulting but we make it."
He saw everyone look traumatised at the discussion and more tears had formed. The silence was horrible but it was necessary. Fred was being hugged to death now and Harry had been engulfed in a hug by Sirius who in turn was being hugged by both Remus and Tonks. Ginny had joined her family in the mass hugs trying to avoid herself as it confused her too much
After a second Sirius separated from the past generation and approached the elder Harry who held a solemn expression as he bounced James on his lap while Teddy looked on in dismay at the sad atmosphere in the room.
"Sirius?"Harry asked apprehensively. Sirius wrapped an arm around him and then began
"I'm proud of you Prongslet. You have clearly grown into a wonderful man, a great husband, an amazing Father and apparently a pretty good godfather"
"I learnt from the best," Harry said bashfully
"You've done well" He patted his shoulder and lowered his hand to James grabby fingers.
At that moment the floo flared and three people exited. A sharp-looking witch, An elderly wizard with a wispy grey beard and a Wizard that looked like an overgrown bat. Mcgonagall was first through and stopped abruptly as she caught sight of a tearful elder Harry. Harry saw her too and shot her a lopsided grin
"J-James?" Harry grinned wider then lifted his fringe up to show his scar
"Close but wrong direction of time travel"
"Harry?How?What?" Mcgonagall stuttered
Harry hesitated and Ginny answered for him
"Because he brought home a powerful time device to a household with a toddler who is into everything and currently entering the phase of explosive accidental magic" Mcgonagall rolled her eyes then sighed
"Mr Potter did you seriously bring a time turner into a house with an infant" Harry nodded
"I thought you'd outgrow poor judgment but it appears that was wishful thinking" she then turned to Ginny
"Hello I'm Professor Mcgonagall" barely suppressing a laugh Ginny nodded and said
"I know"
"Are you a Witch?" Ginny rolled her eyes and offered her hand
"Ginny Potter neè Weasley. This is our son James Sirius"
"Oh, Hello Ginny and Is the name James Sirius Potter a plan to make me retire early," She said this with her usual straight-laced demeanour only for it to melt as James called out
"Min Min!"
"Hello, young man" Mcgonagall replied, reaching out her arms for him as he settled into her lap.
"Touching. Are we going to gloss over the endangerment of an infant and whoever the other child is"
"That's my godson Teddy Lupin" Snapes sneer deepened at the answer. Harry glared back at him
"Well, Mr Potter does anyone know what happened to you?"Dumbledore asked with his piercing blue eyes scanning Harry
"Remus and Tonks saw Ted disappear and Kingsley knows I had the time turner. Also, Ron and Hermione were coming round for dinner but the moment that time turners involved 'Mione will be running around doing research, pregnancy be damned" Harry informed
"Pregnancy?" Hermione squeaked. Elder Harry smirked at her and Ginny winked and said
"Yet another addition to Mums Army of grandchildren" Hermione obviously caught on pretty quickly but Ron remained confused
"Wh-What?"
"Honestly Ronald it means I marry into your family. And I believe from both Harry's smirks you marry me" Hermione lectured but looking incredibly red in the face.
"Yep." Harry and Ginny said simultaneously
"Do I have lots of grandchildren?" Molly asked discreetly
"Mum there's a lot of us, we all end up Marrying except for Charlie. In total there's Victoire, Dom and Louis whose Bills three, Percy has Lucy and I have a feeling Audreys is pregnant as Percy's hours have dropped off suddenly according to Harry. George has Fred and Roxanne. Obviously, we have James and Hermiones pregnant with Ron's first and the Lupins are over that often that you've practically adopted them"
"Oh Arthur isn't that fabulous" Molly cooed still strongly grasping Freds arm
"It is Molly" Arthur replied looking at the time travellers fondly
"Now Mr Potter lets get you home" Dumbledore declared
