A/N Hey, sorry for the late updates it's been a strange week.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but my OCs
It took less then five minutes to explain the situation, but more than ten for her to comprehends what he had just said. She passed around the room in that time mumbling to herself. He decided to excuse himself from her room to let her think about her situation in the company of her friend.
He and Penguin walked threw the palace to the exit when his fathers voice was heard.
"North," he said, " where have you been all morning." he paused for a moment when he noticed Penguin then smiled softly. "You have a friend? Well no need to introduce me or anything."
He looked at Penguin asking for permission and she rapped her tail around his giving him an answer. When he looked at his father again he was smiling as if he knew what they were to each other already. That made North smile as well. He and his father had a great relationship when he was younger, but as the years passed it slowly vanished. Having his father know wat was happening before telling him reminded him that the relationship they had was still there.
"This is Penguin. I met her not to long ago and we've become really good friends."
"Friends?" Both father and son chuckled.
"Well maybe a little more than friends."
His father chuckled again before saying, "I won't tell your mother, but you probably should before she finds out herself."
He nodded then his father turned around to walk away. He moved to do the same before remembering what he needed to tell him.
"Wait!"
The king tuned to face his son once more, "Yes."
"Mother sent an assassin after Aroura. She said that she couldn't afford to loose the throne to her, so she has to get rid of her."
His fathers face grew dark. " how do you know about this?"
"I heard their conversation."
"When?"
"Last night?"
His father stood there for a minute thinking.
"Did you catch his name?"
He shook his head," No, but he was a hybrid, Sandwing Nightwing I think, and he could read minds."
His father nodded slowly taking in the information.
"Does she know?"
"Who?"
"Both."
"Mother doesn't know I was listening, and I told Aroura about a few minus ago."
" And the assassin?"
He swallowed loudly," Yeah he knows. He didn't say anything though, he just pretended I wasn't there."
His father was silent for a while, they all were, the only sound was the beating of their hearts, and the whisper of their breath.
" Bring your friend home, then go to your room. Don't leave for any reason until I come to collect you. Tell Aroura the same. I'm going to go speak to you mother about this issue immediately, and you are not to tell anyone else understand?"
"Yes father."
"Good."
