A/N So I don't know any wings of fire insults... Can someone help me with that?
Disclaimer: I do not own WOF.

"You've out done yourself this time Star." he snarled at his wife.

"Whatever do you mean by that dear?"

"An assassin? very clever. Net time you should maybe think about where your secret meetings ae being held, or better yet do's hire assassins.

He heard her swallow and saw the face of someone who just got caught for a crime she knew she shouldn't have committed.

"What do you mean I didn'-"

"Yeah Star you did and don't even try to play innocent! I've known you since we were hatchlings and I know you'd do anything that benefits you no matter what."

She sighed and turned away defeated.

"I'm sorry Shard I should have thought about my actions before I committed them. I just didn't think that-"

" Really? You're seriously making yourself the victim again?"

"Well what do you want me to do!"

"What do you think?"

"I don't know!"

" Tell the assassin the job is done, you changed your mind."

There was a long silence, a very long silence. It lasted long and felt longer, but the tow dragon stood face to face glaring at each other. He once thought that he could love this dragon. Even if he only thought of her as a friend at the time he thought that it could happen. Now he could tell that it wasn't possible. Maybe she loved him, maybe, but her love simply wasn't enough for him to stay with her when she was willing to do anything to stay in control.

And she noticed that in his eyes, and started to panic.

"All right, I'll do it. After we can-"

"After you will say goodbye to your children leave this Kingdome forever."

"But-"

"Or else."

she was silent for a minute thinking of an argument. He couldn't do this after all she had done for this Kingdome, foe these people, for him. She wouldn't let him win.

"You can't do this, as queen I am of higher authority than you."

"You're queen by marriage not birth, therefore I can banish you just as well as Aroura can take your throne."

Another long silence.

"Well then I'm taking my children, you and that bloody half blood can take care of this damn Kingdome! Enjoy your life you cold hearted Iceberg!"

"Good luck convincing them" he mumbled as she stormed out.

"North pack your things, we're leaving."

He looked at his mother confused. He didn't think they were going anywhere, especially somewhere he needed to pack for.

"Where are we going?"

"I'm not sure yet, but your father is being unreasonable and banished me. Now pack your things you're coming with me."

"Father banished me!" he cried astonished.

"No he didn't, but I've decided to take you with me so he can see all that he is loosing."

He didn't move. His father had told him that he was going to speak to his mother about the assassin, he also told him not to leave his room until he came and got him.

"Well come on now, your sisters are done already."

"I'm not going with you," he stated.

She stared at him with the slightest look of challenge in her eyes. "Yes you are."

"No I'm not," he repeated. He wasn't going to let his mother make this choice for him, he wouldn't let her take the life he had made for himself the past few weeks. He couldn't, he shouldn't, he wouldn't.

He stood there, making sure his mother knew he wasn't going to argue. He stood with pride and determination, something he'd never done before. She glared at him the challenge now obvious, and the lust to win more so. But as the time passed, the challenge waned and she seemed to understand she was not going to win.

"Fine then have it your way," then she stormed out of the room.
