SmackDown Filming: March 27, 2012
I look at Randy. "So it's the last SmackDown before WrestleMania, and we're in the main event tonight. We scored big time."
Randy grins. "We did. Didn't we? It'll be even better when we win the main event."
"You're damn right. I don't really get the opportunity to main event things, so this is super cool."
"It is. I'm really excited to team with you too. I can't even remember when the last time we did have a match together was."
"I can't either. I know we've had a good few Mixed Tag Team matches together, but I can't remember the last time we did before tonight."
"It doesn't really matter, does it? We're teaming up together tonight. That's what matters."
"You're right. WrestleMania is less than a week away. We can worry about this Mixed Tag Team match and then our WrestleMania matches. That is all we need to worry about right now."
"And my birthday."
"And your birthday. Don't worry, I have a birthday plan that works if you don't mind skipping the WrestleMania after party."
"Believe me, I don't mind missing the WrestleMania after party."
"Good because I have a big plan."
"Does it involve the bedroom?"
"Do you want it to?"
"Perhaps I do."
"Well, let's just say I made a plan you should enjoy."
"Fantastic. It does involve the bedroom."
"I never said that."
"You never denied it either."
"I guess you'll just have to wait and see."
"I'm pretty sure it does. I know you."
"Whatever. Anyway, strategy?"
"You kick AJ's ass, and Sheamus and I will make sure to take care of the other two."
"That sounds like quite the plan. Any details worked out?"
"I figured we would just make the plan as we went along."
"You sure?"
"Sheamus and I know Daniel and Kane pretty well at this point. It'll be fine."
I give Randy a serious look. "If you say so."
Randy kisses my forehead. "I'm positive. There's something that I've been meaning to talk to you about though."
I raise an eyebrow. "What's that?"
"You know how we've been trying to figure out something to keep the house more secure?"
"Uh…yeah?"
"I've been thinking that maybe it would be a good idea to…um…be a good idea to maybe…uh maybe get a dog. I know it's a big responsibility, but it may be what we should do."
I look at Randy. "Well…that's a lot to think about, Randy. I'm not sure yet."
"That's fine. Will you at least think about it?"
"Yeah, I'll think about it for you."
Randy grins. "Thanks, babe. I'm just hoping it'll be the solution."
"We'll have to see. A dog is a huge responsibility, Randy."
"I mean so is having a child, Rissa. I think we should do it. Just think about it."
"I will."
Ted enters the room. "There's my favorite main event wrestlers."
"Would we ever be anywhere other than our locker-room?"
Ted laughs. "You both have made a lot of trips to Catering."
Randy rolls his eyes. "Did you have a reason for coming in here?"
"Sheamus is on his way to come over here soon."
"Okay. I'm sure he wants to discuss our Six Person Mixed Tag Team match that we have tonight."
"That would make sense." I comment.
Randy nods as I start to lean on him. "That should be a private conversation though, so maybe you shouldn't be here, Ted."
Ted gives Randy a dirty look. "You're rude."
Randy shrugs. "This is an important match, Ted. Chill out. You can come back later."
"Whatever." Ted leaves.
I look at Randy after Ted leaves. "That was kind of rude."
Randy chuckles. "I know, but I love getting under Ted's skin."
("Flight of the Valkyries" plays)
"The following Six Person Mixed Tag Team match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, AJ and the World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan!"
("Veil of Fire" plays)
"And their partner, weighing in at 323 pounds, Kane!"
I know I want that girl so bad
I lie awake at night
And think of all the things that I would do
With a girl like that…
"And their opponents, first, from Saint Louis, Missouri, the Queen of Chaos, Marissa Orton!"
I wait on stage for my partners as I watch the three individuals in the ring.
I hear voices in my head
They council me
They understand
They talk to me…
"And her partner, from Saint Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, the Apex Predator, Randy Orton!"
Randy puts his arm around me as he arrives. I smile and kiss his cheek.
It's a shame that lost their head
A careless man who could wind up dead
You wear your sin like it's some kind of prize
Too many lies, too many lies…
"And their partner, from Dublin, Ireland, weighing in at 267 pounds, the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus!"
Sheamus arrives and looks over at me and Randy. "This is quite the arse kicking group. Let's go win this match!"
Randy and I smiled as we all headed towards the ring. I locked eyes with AJ. Usually I was pretty fond of the woman, but she had decided to interfere on Daniel's behalf yesterday, even though she was only dating him in the storyline. I couldn't quite understand why she interfered yesterday when she hadn't before, but it caused AJ to cross into having issues with me since Randy was on the opposing side in that Tag Team match on Raw.
We all entered the ring and posed to the crowd. Randy, Sheamus, and I turned to stare down Kane, Daniel, and AJ.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Kane stood in the ring as Daniel and AJ went to the apron. Since this wasn't an Intergender Tag Team match and was a Mixed Tag Team match instead, I immediately went to the apron as well as I could only wrestle AJ in this match. Randy and Sheamus discussed things before Sheamus stayed in the ring as Randy joined me on the apron.
Kane and Sheamus lock up. Sheamus gets Kane into the corner, and the referee has to force Sheamus off. Kane beats on Sheamus until Sheamus chops his leg. Sheamus hits Kane with a few Right Hands, but Kane levels him. Kane pins Sheamus.
1…kickout!
Sheamus grabs Kane and bounces his head off of the turnbuckle a few times before bringing Kane to our corner. Sheamus tags in Randy, and the two double team Kane. Randy pulls Kane to the middle of the ring and pins him.
1…2…kickout!
Randy stomps on Kane a few times as Kane is still on the ground. Randy notices that Kane is about to get up and goes for Dropkick, but Kane notices and avoids it. Kane grabs Randy and goes for a Chokeslam, but Randy escapes from it. Kane takes Randy with a Clothesline before pinning him.
1…kickout!
Kane grabs Randy and throws him into a corner before tagging in Daniel.
Daniel hits Randy with a Running Knee. Randy falls to the ground. Daniel goes for another Running Knee, but Randy moves out of the way. Daniel hits the turnbuckle instead. Randy starts punching on Daniel in the corner until the referee forces Randy off of Daniel. Randy kicks Daniel in the gut before lifting him onto the top turnbuckle. Randy climbs up and hits Daniel with a Superplex. Randy pins Daniel.
1…2…
Kane breaks the pin. Sheamus goes after Kane, and both men end up outside of the ring. Randy looks at them, and Daniel rolls Randy into a pin.
1…kickout!
Daniel hits Randy with a Dropkick and recovers in his own corner. There's a clear opportunity for AJ to tag in, but she doesn't take it. Daniel doesn't even try to tag AJ in.
That's when the realization hits me. AJ isn't tagging in because they have the size and experience advantage in Kane and the more technical wrestling of Daniel, but I take all of those advantages myself when it's me and AJ wrestling each other. They're trying to avoid having AJ in because I'll probably outdo her and win. I smile to myself as both Sheamus and Kane climb up onto the apron on their respective sides. Randy tags in Sheamus as Daniel tags in Kane.
I look at Randy as Sheamus and Kane lock up once again. "They're trying to keep me out of this match."
Randy gives me a confused look. "You think so?"
"Yeah, Kane has a size and experience advantage over you and Sheamus. Daniel has his more technical wrestling style. If AJ and I have to wrestle, I'd have the size advantage, the experience advantage, and would be the more technical wrestler."
Randy nods. "They keep the advantage if you two don't wrestle."
"Exactly."
"Well, it's bullshit. It's the SmackDown right before WrestleMania as well as the main event match. You're gonna wrestle."
"Thanks, babe."
We both start to pay attention to the match again. Sheamus gets Kane into our corner and tags Randy in.
Randy and Sheamus double team Kane again before Randy pins Kane.
1…kickout!
Randy grabs Kane, but Kane levels Randy with a Clothesline. Kane then tags Daniel in.
Daniel nails Randy with a Dropkick as Randy was going to stand up and pins him.
1…2…kickout!
Both men get up. Daniel runs towards Randy, but Randy catches Daniel with a Scoop Slam. Randy starts preparing for the RKO. However, AJ pulls Daniel out of the ring. Randy gives AJ an angry look. I slowly step into the ring as Randy watches AJ check up on Daniel outside of the ring as the referee starts counting.
1!
2!
Randy looks at me. "She's so small. Plus, I can't hit her, but I need to get Daniel back in the ring."
I put a hand on Randy's shoulder as AJ helps Daniel stand up. "Back up. I got this one, babe."
I run into the ropes for momentum before hitting a Suicide Dive. I landed on AJ as Daniel had moved himself out of the way.
Daniel climbs back onto the apron, but Randy catches him with a Draping DDT and pins him.
1…2…kickout!
AJ and I both make it back to the apron as both men stand up. Randy and Daniel have the same idea and hit each other with Dropkicks. Both men fall to the ground. Randy pulls Daniel away from his corner as Randy crawls to ours. Daniel goes to stand up, but Randy pulls him back down before tagging me in.
I smirk as I enter the ring. AJ's eyes go wide as she realizes that she has to face me in the ring. I wave at her. She runs at me, but I take her down with an Arm Drag. I pin AJ.
1…kickout!
We both get up, and AJ nails me with a Dropkick. I start to get up, and she hits me with a Shining Wizard. AJ pins me.
1…2…kickout!
I crawl into a corner to recover. I use the ring ropes to help myself stand up. AJ runs at me and hits a Clothesline. She grabs me, but I punch her in the gut. I bounce AJ's head off of the turnbuckle before hitting a Running Bulldog. I go to pin AJ, but she rolls me into a pin.
1…2…kickout!
AJ goes to kick me but I avoid it and hit her with a Superkick. AJ goes to get up. I nail AJ with a Dropkick before grabbing her and hitting her with a Tornado DDT. I then lock AJ in the Heel Hook. Daniel comes in the ring, but Randy cuts him off. AJ taps out.
"Here are your winners, Sheamus, Randy, and Marissa Orton!"
I release the submission hold before kicking AJ out of the ring. I celebrate with Randy and Sheamus.
Everything seemed to be going smoothly. Hopefully, WrestleMania will be the same way.
