The dragon sprinted towards her, and she barely dodged the attack. She hit the wall hard and caused a crashing sound to echo around the room. She got to her feet as fast as possible, but before she could run the large dragon bite hard into her neck and threw her across the room. He walked over to the whimpering dragonet and stood on his hind legs preparing to claw at her.
She had considered dyeing before, everyone did at some point, but she never thought it would be like this. She imagined living a full life then dyeing peacefully in her sleep, not being torn apart by a savage dragon. There she was laying on the ground, her warm blood dripping down her neck, her killer preparing to strike.
It was so fast she barely noticed it. One second the assassin was looming over her the next he was on the ground shrieking. She stood up the best she could and saw the dragon clawing at a black goo on his right bicep. Rainwing venom.
Romantic charged at the dragon on the floor clawing at him. Seconds later North was there as well attacking the assassin. She would have gone to help but the wound on her neck had caused much blood to pour out she was beginning to get dizzy.
A shriek erupted from Romantic only a few moments later, and aroura saw a large gash on her friend belly. She tried to go in for another attack, but North pushed her out of the way.
"Go find my father, or some guards, or anyone who could help, and get you and Aroura help! I can hold him off!"
She didn't argue and came over to the young princess. She helped her up and the two princesses made their way to the door. They head a malicious roar from the assassin, followed by a louder, more aggressive one from the prince.
They walked down the icy hallways the best they could before finally finding a servant. She didn't have time to question what happened before Romantic barked at her to send guards to help North. She looked terrified by the violence in the Rainwing's voice before running off to fulfil her orders.
North roared ferociously before he ducked down to bite the assassins bicep where Romantic had attacked. In return the hybrid sank his teeth into North's spine sending a painful sting down his body. He let his grip go then slashed at the dragons chest causing him to release his grip with a panful roar.
He could feel the warm, sticky liquid move down his body, but took no notice. This creature, and everyone who worked for his traitorous mother, will fall at his hands.
The dragon tried to impale North with his scorpion tail, but he dodged just in time. Just as North went in for his move the dragon tackled him, and pinned him to the ground.
"I remember you" he stated, his voice sending shivers down his spine.
"And I remember you" he answered. " I also remember being told that my mother told you the job was done."
"She said no such thing. Though I did notice her leaving the Ice Kingdome, did I miss something?"
"Yes you did!" North yelled before throwing the dragon off him. He hit his head on the wall hard before collapsing to the floor. The prince moved slowly to his victim, making sure he wouldn't attack him by surprise. The dragon groaned, then turned around and stared at him.
"Don't kill me." He wasn't begging, not even asking. It was a order, maybe even a threat, but North wouldn't take the threat. He had one the fight, he was the alpha, and the murderer in front of him had no right to order him to do anything.
"Give me one good reason why."
"Because I am an assassin and I work for money, if your mother left then she can no longer pay me. Not to mention I was skeptical abut the job in the first place. People who are so obsessed with power that they, but to much of a coward to earn it discuss me."
The prince nodded the moved out of the way.
"I will spare your life if you can do me a favor."
He nodded.
" Find my mother and tell her that her plan failed. Tell that Aroura will take the throne and rule the Kingdome fairly, bravely and kindly. Tell my mother that me and my father will live happily without her and that I will do whatever makes me happy because it is my life. Tell her that if she ever returns to this Kingdome she will be begging me for mercy. Finally, tell her that we are all happy here."
The dragon nodded again.
"Good now go." He stood up, spread his wings, then jumped out the window. North watched for a couple of seconds before guards stormed into the room.
