Raw: April 2, 2012

"I swear I'm going to lose my mind tonight." I say as I sit in my locker-room.

Randy sighs as he sits down next to me. "Can I join you in losing your mind?"

"Sure. Do you have anything going on tonight?"

"I have nothing tonight. Absolutely nothing, Rissa."

"Me either."

"That damn Laurinaitis. You didn't hear it from me, but Eve supposedly has promo time tonight."

"Eve has promo time? Well, damn, I think I found something to do tonight."

"Be careful about that, Rissa. She's probably in John Laurinaitis's good graces now."

"The last bit of me that could've worried about that left last night when Eve cost Teddy Long everything. Screw playing nice. I'm not putting up with this anymore."

"Rissa…you need to be careful."

"Where has being careful gotten me, Randy? First, it was Triple H. Now, it's Teddy Long. Who's next? It'll be me. I'm not letting him do the same thing to me."

"I get your point, but there's still plenty of reason to be careful."

"Not enough for me to be careful."

Randy grabs his phone. "Seriously, Rissa, it's risky. Give me a moment."

"What are you doing?"

"Making a phone call."

"To who?"

"You'll see." Randy calls and puts the phone on speaker. "Hello?"

Chelle: "Hey, what's wrong? You rarely call me, Randy."

Randy: "I need you to talk your best friend out of something."

Chelle: "What's going on?"

Me: "I'm not going to worry about holding back when it comes to John Laurinaitis tonight. I'm gonna wreck Eve's shit tonight."

Chelle: "And?"

Randy: "And what?"

Chelle: "I don't get why I need to talk her out of this. I agree with her. He's going to be coming after her now. She needs to take him on head first."

Me: "Thank you."

Randy sighs.

Chelle: "I get you're worried, Randy, but Rissa has to stick up for her position."

Randy: "I just don't want him to screw up her career."

Chelle: "He won't be able to do enough to screw up her career. Is this all you needed?"

Randy: "Yes, ma'am."

Chelle: "Then I'll talk to you later. Good luck, Rissa."

Me: "Thanks."

Chelle ends the call.

I give Randy a serious look. "Will you be supportive now?"

Randy nods. "Yeah, what are you going to do?"

We both hear a knock on the door.

I open the door to see David Otunga. "What do you want?"

David looks at me. "Mr. Laurinaitis wants to have a meeting with the roster backstage at the beginning of Raw."

"Tell him we're declining that invitation." I shut the locker-room door.

Randy gives me a serious look. "Laurinaitis is having a meeting?"

"Yeah, you'd think he'd understand that we won't go to those at this point."

Randy laughs. "No kidding."

I watch from guerilla as Eve heads to the ring to cut her promo.

Cody approaches me. "You know she's pretty pissed at you."

I roll my eyes. "I know. The five voicemails that she left made that very clear. We both know why I took her off the reservation."

"I don't blame you. I don't even agree with what she did last night. She should've known that you and Randy sure as hell wouldn't."

"Exactly. What's gotten into her?"

"I don't know, but you may need to slap some sense into her."

"Believe me, Rhodes. I will."

"Everyone wants to have their WrestleMania moment." Eve says as she starts her promo. "And last night, I got mine. I manipulated Zack Ryder. And poor Zack. It was just so easy. But let's face it. It's easy for me to manipulate any man, except one man. And he is the general manager of both Raw and SmackDown because powerful people cannot be manipulated. And if my actions last night helped him in any way, then so be it. Now, let's hear it for People Power!"

I rolled my eyes as I watched. "I can't take this anymore. Play my theme music."

I know I want that girl so bad

I lie awake at night

And think of all the things that I would do

With a girl like that…

I grabbed a microphone before walking onto the stage. "Eve, cut the bullshit already. Please, you're giving everyone backstage headaches."

Eve gives me a dirty look. "What the hell do you want?"

"Well, I'm here to explain to you what you've done. You let John Laurinaitis take control of both Raw and SmackDown. You put Teddy Long out of a job, and you have now alienated yourself from most of your coworkers."

"Is that the case or are you just mad that someone in the Divas division is getting talked about more than you, Marissa? Are you mad because I'm getting all this attention?" Eve shoves me to the ground.

"Excuse me? I don't need to be the center of attention, Eve, especially with the kind of attention you're getting."

Eve smirks as I start to get up. "Is that jealousy I see on your face? Man, it's nice when everything works out for you. Everything will go the way it needs to."

"You're right, Eve. Everything will go the way it needs to." I punch Eve hard, dropping her to the ground.

The crowd reacts loudly and positively. I take a bow before heading backstage.

I walk through the halls backstage after leaving guerilla. I had my interaction with Eve on my mind. These issues clearly weren't going away anytime soon. I was going to be dealing with this for a while. I grab my phone to text Randy to ask where he was so I could join him when I bump into someone. I catch my balance before locking eyes with Brock Lesnar.

"Watch where you're going." Brock says with a rude tone.

I roll my eyes. "I was going to apologize. I believe this is the first time we've met though. I'm…"

"Orton's wife, I know, and I don't care. You mean absolutely nothing to me. Get out of my way." Brock walks past me.

"My name's Marissa. I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt, Brock, but it seems Randy was right. You are an entitled jackass. By the way, I'm also someone who has a lot more tenure here than you ever had, and I'm Vince's daughter which means I do own part of this company. Maybe next time, be a little more careful about who you cross."

"Whatever." Brock walks away.

I sigh before texting Randy.

Me: Where are you at? I've got nothing else to do and wanted to hang out with you.

Luckily, Randy immediately replies.

Randy: I'm in Catering with John.

I start heading towards Catering with my mind on how much of an asshole Brock Lesnar had been.

"Sometimes I feel like there's more assholes on this roster than people who aren't assholes." Randy is telling John as I arrive to see them.

I sit next to Randy. "Brock Lesnar is certainly one of those assholes."

Randy looks at me with a raised eyebrow. "Did I miss something? Did you interact with Brock Lesnar?"

"Yeah…you were right about him, definitely an entitled jackass."

"Did he say something to you?"

"How did you know?"

"You seem pretty mad and called him an asshole and an entitled jackass in the small period of time you've been with us."

"Oh. I didn't think I was being that obvious."

"What did he say?"

John gives me a serious look. "How rude was Brock?"

I sigh. "He was like watch where you're going when I accidentally ran into him when I got my phone out to text you, Randy. I was like I was going to apologize and tried to still be nice and introduce myself. Brock cut me off and made it clear that he knew that I was your wife before telling me that I mean nothing to him and to move out of the way. I did tell him that you were right and that he is an entitled jackass."

Randy gives me a serious look. "I'm going to kick his ass. He had no right to talk to you like that."

I shake my head. "Not tonight. Let's just head to the hotel."

"What about not getting in trouble?"

"I don't care. Let's go."
