SmackDown Filming: April 3, 2012
Ryse and I walked around backstage as she was still with us since she had come to WrestleMania a few days ago with Ted.
I give her a serious look. "You know what's really making me mad?"
Ryse shrugs. "Something other than Eve."
"Yeah, I pinned Beth on Sunday at WrestleMania, but Nikki Bella is the one who got a singles match against Beth. Nothing against Nikki, but I deserved that opportunity to face Beth one on one."
"But we both know why you didn't get it."
I roll my eyes. "John Laurinaitis."
"Can you at least manage Randy tonight?"
"He's got a rematch with Kane that's No Disqualification. I'm staying out of it."
"Fair enough. I hope things aren't like this for you for more than this week."
"You and me both, Ryse."
"It sucks that Teddy Long isn't in charge any more."
"No kidding. John Laurinaitis is just gonna be getting more and more power hungry."
"I agree. Can I talk to you about something personal that's bothering me?"
"Sure, what's up?"
"Well, Ted and I have been engaged for about a year now, and we haven't made much progress with planning the wedding out. You and Randy took only six months, and Chelle and John took even less time. Should I be worried?"
"Honestly, no. As long as it's still a priority to you guys. Weddings get planned out at different paces, Ryse, and I'm sure you want a big one."
"I do, but I'm not sure we're focusing on it enough."
"Then talk to Ted about it. That's what you should do."
"Okay. Thanks."
"Also, don't do what I did and get your dress only a month before the wedding."
Ryse laughs. "I'll make sure not to do that, Rissa."
"Good."
"So what about you? Anything going on with you other than what you already told me?"
"Well…I still have a bunch of letters to read, but I also have a way to strike back at John Laurinaitis."
"And what's that?"
"I'm keeping it quiet for now, but you'll find out sooner than later."
"Okay then."
We arrived at mine and Randy's locker-room.
"I just don't want Laurinaitis to see it coming." I say as Ryse and I enter the locker-room. "Hey, babe."
Randy smiles as he looks up at me. "Hey, beautiful. Talking about that way to get back at John Laurinaitis without telling what it actually is again?"
"If you chill out, I'll tell you when we get home tomorrow."
Ryse gives Randy a confused look. "She won't tell you either?"
"Nope, she's keeping it quiet for me too." Randy answers.
I roll my eyes. "Just wait until we're home tomorrow, and I'll tell you."
"You'll just come up with a reason to not to tell me."
"No, I won't. I really won't."
"We'll see about that."
"Don't you have a match to get ready for."
"You pay enough attention to know that?"
"Yes, you have a No Disqualification match against Kane. Be ready for it."
"I will. Don't worry."
I cross my arms as I sit with Ryse as we watch Randy's match against Kane. "I wish that I didn't worry about him so much in these kinds of matches."
Ryse gives me a serious look. "You worry because you love Randy. That's a good thing."
I sigh. "I know, but it stresses me out too much sometimes."
"Randy is good at these kinds of matches though."
"That's true, but it stresses me out and is hard for me to watch at times."
"You'll be alright because Randy is gonna win this match, Rissa."
"He better win."
Randy shoves Kane into an exposed turnbuckle before hitting Kane with the RKO. Randy pins Kane.
1…2…3!
"Here is your winner, Randy Orton!"
Ryse gives me a serious look. "See?"
I nod. "He did good. I'm proud of him."
"You should be."
"He is such a good wrestler."
"Good?"
"Great, amazing, awesome, one of the best. I love that man."
"And it's the cutest thing. I really need to talk to Ted about our wedding."
"Yeah, you should do that when you get to the hotel tonight."
"You're right. I will though."
"Good."
After Ryse leaves, Randy enters the locker-room.
I smile. "Congratulations, babe. You did great."
Randy sits next to me. "Thanks, Rissa. Has this match been any good?"
I shrug. "It's alright. Big Show just won."
"That's good. You seem upset."
"I'm fine."
"That's bullshit, Rissa. It's this stuff with Eve and John Laurinaitis, isn't it?"
I sigh. "What if John Laurinaitis doesn't let me get that chance at the Divas Championship?"
Randy also sighs. "I honestly don't know what to say about that."
"Do you think he'll do that?"
"Unfortunately, I do think he will do that. How foolproof is your way to get back at him?"
"It's pretty good. Let's just say it's a rather solid plan."
"Striking hard at Laurinaitis?"
"Oh definitely. I'm sick of his shit, babe. I'm doing something about it."
"That's good. I'll stand by your side for all of it."
"Thank you." I watch as Nikki Bella pins Beth Phoenix to win the singles match that the two women were having. "Damn it."
"That's not good for you. It'll make getting your Divas Championship match even harder."
"I know. I might have to accept a Triple Threat if anything at all. I adore Nikki, but this definitely throws a wrench in my plans."
I look at Randy before grabbing and opening the letter from my mother that is numbered twenty-three. "I'm reading a letter."
Randy nods. "Alright, I'm right here."

Dear Marissa, the last time I wrote was three months ago when I saw you on TV for the first time, unfortunately being a piece of eye candy for WWE. That same night I told your younger brother Colby about you and Tyler.
Colby was angry at first about it, but he's finally starting to get past that. I wanted to reach out, but I have a feeling that if I directly tried to get in touch with you or Tyler, I wouldn't get a positive response, maybe not even a response at all.
You didn't win that Diva Search thing, but I know there's still a chance that you have a contract with WWE. I hope that's not the case. However, that's the way I can reach out to you. Your brother Colby went to the show in Chicago tonight. I had him take an envelope with my contact information on it as well as tell him about the situation as a whole, so he could explain some of my regret to you. That is if you're around there. If not, he's hoping to find someone on the roster that could and would pass the message along.
I don't know how it will go, but Colby is supposed to tell me afterwards. I hope somehow you'll be open to it, but I have doubts. We'll just have to see.
Love, Mom
I motion for Randy to come over with tears in my eyes. He immediately comes to my side.
"Bad?" Randy quietly asks.
"It just brought up a lot of memories I don't like thinking about."
