Small warning: There is more cursing this chapter, and a couple uses of the f-word, but it's really nothing that bad. I just thought I should post a warning if you want to avoid that kinda stuff. There's also a pretty long A/N at the bottom, explaining some stuff, if you want to bother reading it.

"Puck!" Came a shout. It was Mustardseed's voice. Taking his time, Puck lazily rolled off of Sabrina and turned to face Mustardseed. A smirk appeared on his face as he glanced at his brother, who was standing frozen in the doorway.

"You'd think that after all this time, you would learn not to barge into people's rooms like that, brother." Mustardseed's face was bright red, and he didn't seem to know how to respond. "Just say whatever you came to say, then leave us alone."

"But you… Her… You're not even…" Finally, Mustardseed seemed to come to his senses. "Mother and father will hear about this!" Puck rolled his eyes.

"Is that all you came in to tell me?" Mustardseed drew himself up.

"No. I came to tell you that there was an attempted break-in in the throne room, and that your… girlfriend was found missing. But I guess that I just found her." Mustardseed glared at her, and against her will, Sabrina's face heated. It's not like either of them were naked or something! Not that Mustardseed knew that it hadn't happened…

"Yes, you did just find her. Now leave! Unless you want to stay and watch?" Puck raised an eyebrow, and Mustardseed had the courtesy to blush again.

"Neither of us will do any such thing! You are coming with me to speak with mother and father! And she," Mustardseed jabbed his hand in Sabrina's direction, "Is coming too!" With that, Mustardseed whirled around and slammed the door behind him. Puck slowly turned to Sabrina.

"Well," He said brightly, "That certainly went better than it could have!"

"But now we have to talk to your parents!"

"Yeah, that's really the best. But at least no one's going to accuse you now! Or me, for that matter."

"Yeah." Sabrina looked down. "But now your parents will think that we were... Well… Having- you know." They both blushed, and sat for a moment. The silence was interrupted when a hard knock came from the door.

"Hurry up!" Yelled Mustardseed. "Or do I have to come in there and dress you both myself?"

"You heard him, go put a shirt on!" Sabrina shoved Puck off the bed, then went to fetch her robe from the heap it was in on the floor. She had no idea what outfit was acceptable for meeting with the King and Queen in the middle of the night, but she didn't have any normal clothes with her. The robe was the best she could do. Oh well.

Sabrina had just tied the sash on her robe when Puck came over and hugged her from behind. With a shirt on, she noted with a little disappointment.

"Your hair's all messed up," he whispered in her ear.

"Your fault!" Sabrina retorted as she elbowed him in the stomach. "And anyway, so is yours!" Reluctantly pulling away from Puck's warm embrace, they opened the door to join Mustardseed.

By the time the small group had reached the doors of the throne room, Mustardseed hadn't said a word to either of them. The second they had left Puck's room, he had swept off down the hall, leaving Sabrina and Puck to scramble after him. Glancing at each other, Puck squeezed Sabrina's hand. He tilted his head to the side.

"Ready?" His eyes seemed to say. Sabrina nodded. She was ready.

Mustardseed yanked open one of the doors, not bothering to hold it. Puck grabbed it before it could swing shut and held it open for Sabrina. Then they quietly followed Mustardseed to the left side of the room, where Oberon and Titania waited.

The monarchs were surrounded by guards, presumably making sure that whomever had tricked the guards hadn't stolen anything, as well as searching for the culprit. Oberon seemed to be clenching his jaw and glaring at everyone, but Titania simply looked tired. Sabrina was relieved to notice that the Queen was also in a dressing gown, which meant that Sabrina wasn't as under-dressed as she had originally thought.

Wading into the group and walking up to his father, Mustardseed whispered something to him. With a wave of the King's hand, all the guards filed out of the door. The door slammed behind them with a deafening bang, and Mustardseed started to speak.

"I went to retrieve Puck from his room, and I found Sabrina. In there. With him." Titania's eyebrows flew up at her son's words, but Oberon's expression stayed as it was, as stone-faced as ever.

"And what were the two of you doing, in your room, alone, at this hour?" Oberon directed the question to Puck, and Sabrina saw him gulp.

"Er… Well... We were… Um…" Seeing that Puck wasn't going to answer anytime soon, Oberon sighed and turned back to Mustardseed.

"What was my son doing with a girl he is unmarried to, in his bedchamber, in the middle of the night?" Oberon boomed. Sabrina gulped. How much trouble would they get into for their trick?

"With all due respect," Mustardseed started cautiously. "I think we all know what they were doing." Oberon's face darkened but he didn't respond. He seemed speechless at Mustardseed's words. Titania, sensing that her husband was about to tip over the edge, quickly interjected.

"Puck, is this true?" Biting his lip and looking down, Puck nodded. Titania sighed, closing her eyes and rubbing her temples. Her eldest son was impossible! But she knew what had to be done.

"Well then, I suppose that the two of you must be married."

"Married! How can she be serious? This is absurd!" Sabrina was still furiously stomping around Puck's room an hour after their conversation with The King and Queen. When Titania had told them that she and Puck had to get married, to 'preserve Sabrina's dignity' or something like that, Sabrina had flipped out.

"What the hell?! We're not getting married! That's ridiculous!" Sabrina had turned to Puck, to see what he had to say, but then Titania had cut him off.

"The point of courting is to prepare for marriage, is it not? And the two of you were already courting. If you want to be together in that way, then you simply must be married. You obviously like each other well enough. I will not have people think ill of our family, and by extension you, if you are to be my daughter in law," She said with an air of finality. The worst part was, Sabrina didn't know how to argue with her. Sure, she was dating Puck, but… She was sixteen! Sixteen! You can't get married when you're sixteen! Especially when you're stuck in the past, so none of your friends and family know about it! But, she couldn't say any of that. She was pretty sure that people got married at her age pretty frequently in the past, and it wasn't like she could tell Titania that all her friends and family were in the literal future! Not knowing what else she could say, her first real though came out of her mouth..

"Just- Well- Why don't you just go fu-" She started to scream, but Puck grabbed her arm before she could tell the Queen exactly what she wanted her to go do.

"Not the time, Sabrina!" He whispered as he pulled her towards the double doors. "Let's get out of here!" Sabrina attempted to point one specific finger at the Queen, but Puck grabbed her other hand before she could complete the gesture.

"Not right now!"

"But Puck-"

"Not right here! Wait until we get back to my room!" Puck had glanced nervously around at the gathered soldiers and servants who were all glancing curiously at them as they came out the doors. They had probably heard yelling, and now they were seeing him literally dragging Sabrina out of the room. Puck grimaced. It probably didn't look good. And that led them to be in Puck's room, an hour later, with Sabrina still ranting about the Queen.

"But it's just crazy! Even if we did do...that, why would we have to get married? And why didn't Oberon say anything? And why-" Sabrina cut herself off. "You know what, fuck them!" She shrieked, then fell onto Puck's bed, grabbing a pillow and curling up around it before slamming her face into it. Puck watched her, his brow creased. He sat down next to her, and put a hand on her back. She was shaking.

"'Brina," he started. Sabrina raised her face a few inches to look at him, and a single, angry tear slowly made its way down her cheek. Puck's stomach dropped. He hated seeing her cry. Especially when there was nothing he could do about it.

"Hey," He said, rubbing her back. "We just have to get the ring before my mother plans our wedding. Easy peasy." Sabrina had put her head back down, but didn't show any other reaction to his words. "Only two more places left to check, remember?" Puck continued. "The treasury, and the dungeon vaults. It'll be a piece of cake!" She waited long enough that Puck was just starting to think that she would never answer, when Sabrina finally sat up, still clutching the pillow to her chest.

"But what if-" Her voice cracked. "What if we can't find it? What if your mother makes us get married, and we never get home, and I never see Mom and Dad and Granny Relda and D-Daphne.." She finally fully broke down into tears, and Puck put his arms around her so she leaned into his chest.

"But we will find it," Puck whispered. "We've always made it through everything, and this time will be no different."

The next morning, Sabrina opened her eyes to find herself curled into Puck. She was immediately aware of the tear stains on her cheeks, and the previous night came rushing back to her. Breaking into the throne room. Sneaking through the underground tunnel. Mustardseed walking in… Then Titania telling them that they had to get married. Sabrina groaned and fell back, forgetting that Puck was behind her.

"Urgggg… Watch it Grimm," Puck said sleepily as he rubbed his eyes.

"Sorry!" Sabrina immediately apologized. "I forgot you were there." Reaching up to feel the tried tear marks on her face, Sabrina glanced at Puck.

"Sorry about last night."She said quietly. Puck looked over at her as he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.

"You don't have anything to apologize for."

"Yeah I do. I shouldn't have yelled at Titania like that, and… I definitely shouldn't have cried like that."

"You were missing your family. It was also two AM, you hadn't slept, and we had just finished breaking into a throne room. Then Titania just… Dropped that on us. You had every reason to cry!"

"You didn't," Sabrina quietly contradicted. Puck looked at her, surprised that she had even had the thought.

"Yeah, well, I've had four thousand years to deal with my family. You haven't." Sabrina knew he was right, but then froze. She had realized that she had no idea how Puck was doing, dealing with his father again.

"Oh my God, Puck. I can't believe I forgot! How are you holding up, being back here with your father?" His eyes widened for a second before he looked away from her.

"I'm fine," he said shortly. "And like I said, we'll be home soon, so it doesn't really matter."

"Puck," Sabrina started, but was interrupted by Puck's stomach giving a huge growl. He forced a grin.

"Well, guess we should go find some food!" He announced, leaping up to change his clothes and get on with breakfast. When he glanced at the clock, he did a double take.

"Oh God, Sabrina. It's one thirty!" Sabrina looked from him, to the clock, to the sunlight curtains. Then she started giggling uncontrollably.

"What if a maid came in or something? What's your mother going to say?" Suddenly, the events or worry of the previous night seemed to fall away from Sabrina. Something about realizing she had slept in so late, just like she did at home, the feeling of familiarity, had made her feel a little bit better like nothing else could.

"You know, at this point, I don't give a damn what they think. I mean, as far as they know, we're already engaged. They can say whatever they want!" And with that final reply, Puck grabbed a fresh change of clothes and headed to the bathroom.

Late the night of the break in of the throne room, when Mustardseed finally arrived back at his chambers, he was exhausted. He was furious at his brother for being with that… with that girl, Sabrina Grimm. He was positive that something was going on with them, even after his father had rejected his idea the night of the ball. Puck just wasn't acting like the brother he knew at all! No one could change that much in ten years, right?

Luckily for Mustardseed, the answer to his questions was settled in the center of his desk, traces of magical powder falling off of it and getting all over the stacks of papers covering his desk. As soon as he noticed the small piece of paper, he immediately rushed over. He had expected Puck to confront him about the letter he had sent that day, but… He hadn't. So did that mean that the Puck in the castle, who he had just spent the evening yelling at, was not actually his brother? With bated breath, he slowly unfolded the piece of paper. His eyes widened as he scanned the note. He had been right.

Okay, I get that some of you may be upset with me. I know its been quite a while since I've posted. I don't really have a good excuse for that. And, this is a very short chapter. It's only about 2200 words while my usual chapters are at least 3000 words, usually more than that. That's because I didn't want to make it go past this point, just because I wanted their night (and morning) to end here. I thought it felt more complete this way, rather than if I fast forwarded a lot right at the end of the chapter. But now for the good news! First, I'm going to try and make the next chapter extra-long, to make up for the length of this one. And, I've been taking some time to properly plan out this story, and hopefully close any big plot holes. Finally, I'm on summer break now (no more disorganized online school! Yay!) so I should be updating more frequently. Most of my summer plans have been cancelled, (thanks, COVID-19) so I'm going to have a lot of time to write! If you've even gotten to the end of this long A/N, or even if you haven't, thanks for reading and please review!

XOXO, Cassie
