A few hours after lunch, there was a knock on Sabrina's door. She immediately rushed over and yanked it open.

"Puck! About time-" But she cut herself off, because the person standing in front of her, fist still raised from knocking, wasn't Puck, but Mustardseed. "Mustardseed!" She exclaimed. "Sorry, I was expecting Puck. What's up?" She coughed, mentally face-palming. 'Whats up' was definitely not something that people in the 1800s say. "I mean, what brings you here?" She smiled, trying to cover up her mistake. Mustardseed gave her a onceover, eyes narrowed. Sabrina frowned. Usually, Mustardseed would immediately get to the point with some polite greeting.

"Um, Mustardseed?" she asked hesitantly. "Did you have something you wanted to say, or…?" Mustardseed seemed to shake himself, then put on his polite, formal smile.

"No, Miss Grimm, I simply wanted to talk." Sabrina opened the door wider and gestured for him to come in.

"What do you want to talk about?"

"Oh, nothing of immediate importance. Would you like to accompany me on a stroll around the gardens?" Sabrina stared at him in confusion. 'Nothing of importance?' If it wasn't important, then why couldn't it wait until dinner? And, she was waiting for Puck to come soon so that they could plan for their next break-in. But, she didn't want Mustardseed to be suspicious of them having secret meetings. So she really had no choice but to go with him. And anyway, she wanted to know what this mysterious 'unimportant' thing that he wanted to talk about was.

"Sure," Sabrina finally agreed, stepping out of her room and gently shutting the door behind her. Mustardseed held out his arm for her to take, and they left for the gardens.

They walked in tense silence the whole way. But it was a strange silence, like there was something hovering over them that neither wanted to say. Sabrina had no idea what this could be, even though she did feel the awkward tension surrounding them.

"Soooo…" She started, when it was evident that Mustardseed wasn't going to say anything. "What did you want to talk about?" Mustardseed paused for a moment, looking at her appraisingly.

"How did you and Puck meet?" Sabrina's mind went completely blank. That was the last question she had been expecting, and from Mustardseed no less! And how was she supposed to answer that? What if Puck had already given him some fake backstory? She grabbed onto the only safe piece of information she could think of.

"In France," She managed to get out. Puck had told those girls at the ball that she was French, so that was probably a safe bet… Right? But Mustardseed was watching her closely. It felt like he knew. But that was impossible. There was no way that he could have figured out that Sabrina and Puck were from the future.

"Where in France?" he asked nonchalantly. Sabrina gulped.

"Um... Paris," She squeaked out. That was the only place in France that she knew anything about!

"But how did you meet?" This was beginning to feel like an interrogation! Sabrina's mind raced. France. France. Paris. Croissants. Eiffel tower… Chocolate… Cheese… Cheese!

"Cheese!" Sabrina blurted out. "We met in a… Cheese shop." She inwardly cringed, and Mustardseed raised an eyebrow. She had thought that she was better than this at lying!

"At a cheese shop," Mustardseed repeated skepically.

"Yeah. At a cheese shop. We bumped into each other while we were… Buying cheese. And he mentioned that he was alone in Paris, and I asked if he had seen the Eifful tower yet, and he said no. So I took him there. And from there…" Okay, Sabrina thought. That was a… Not good, but passable story. I hope. She waved a hand in front of her face, going for an air of nonchalance. "Well, from there it all just happened. We traveled for a little while, and now we're here." She hoped that her story would be enough for Mustardseed. If he asked for more specifics, then she wasn't sure that she could come up with more believable stories. If that one could even be considered believable. But he seemed to be buying it. He had nodded when she finished, and he was smiling.

Finally, they reached the gardens. All of the flowers were in full bloom, and it was beautiful, but Sabrina was too preoccupied by their conversation to enjoy it. Mustardseed had been quiet as well, but about halfway around the garden, he broke the silence.

"What's the Eiffel Tower?" He asked. Sabrina's stomach dropped. Had it not been built yet? Oh no. She shouldn't have mentioned it!

"It's just a, um... A tower in Paris. It… has a nice view of the city from the top." Just a tower, really? She thought. It's called the Eiffel Tower. Way to be Captain Obvious! But if it didn't exist yet… What else could she say?

"That sounds nice." Mustardseed interrupted her thoughts. "I shall have to visit next time I'm in Paris." Sabrina nodded, and the two of them turned around to head back to the palace. When they were back inside, Mustardseed turned to her and bowed.

"Our talk was most… enlightening. I trust that you can make it back to your room yourself?"

"Of course! It was… er… Nice talking to you." Mustardseed turned to leave, but Sabrina grabbed his arm.

"Wait a second, Mustardseed. Why did you want to know how Puck and I met?" A strange expression flashed across his face, but it cleared in an instant.

"Oh, you know me. Just looking out for my brother. He still hasn't told me much about what he was doing these last few years. I thought you might be more willing to tell me about it than him." And with that, he disappeared around the corner.

Sabrina turned to go the other way, back to her room. Puck was probably waiting for her already. But her thoughts turned away from Puck, and came back to Mustardseed. He had been acting strangely during their walk. Asking her to go on a walk with him in the first place seemed a little out of character for him, but then again, she didn't know him that well. But, asking about how they met? That couldn't be good. Of course, she could just be paranoid… She was a little paranoid sometimes. He could really just be Puck's concerned brother, wondering where he had been all those years… Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard her name yelled down the hall.

"Sabrina!" Puck ran down the hallway behind her, trying to catch up. Sabrina stopped to give him a moment to get to her.

"Puck! Sorry I wasn't in my room. Mustardseed asked me to go on a walk with him."

"Oh." He frowned. "Why would he do that?" He muttered, a contemplative expression on his face.

"You really think he hates me that much?" Sabrina rolled her eyes, and Puck stopped walking, hearing the sarcasm in her voice.

"Whaaaaaa… Oh wait, did I say that out loud?" Sabrina nodded. "Sorry." Puck sighed. "I've been a little out of it today. Just..." He waved his hands around in front of his face, trying to illustrate what he was trying to say. "Everything. Being here, back here again…" He shuddered. "With my father…" Sabrina reached her arms around his middle, hugging him tightly. He squeezed her back.

"We'll get back," She said into his chest. "I know it. Maybe even tonight." he rubbed a gentle hand through her hair.

"I hope so." Sabrina grabbed his hand.

"Let's get planning," she said with a smile.

When they got back to her room, they both made a beeline for her bed. As soon as they were properly situated, Puck drew a crumpled piece of paper out of his pocket. On it was a roughly sketched map of the palace. Sabrina frowned at it.

"This looks like a five year old drew it," she pointed out.

"I was in a hurry!"

"I can't even tell what this is!" she exclaimed, jabbing her finger at a small scribble in one corner of the paper.

"That's obviously a door!" Sabrina squinted at it, but it still looked like a scribble to her.

"It looks like a scribble," She told him.

"Ugh!" Puck groaned. "You're impossible! It's not like you could do it any better!"

"Maybe I couldn't draw it much better, but that doesn't excuse how bad this is!" Puck glared at her, until she finally held her hands up in front of her.

"Fine, fine! Truce. For now." She relented. He smirked at her.

"For now," He repeated. "When we get home, I'm going to find every piece of artwork you've ever created and tape it up all over the house."

"I said truce!" Sabrina yelled, and Puck laughed.

"We should probably start planning," He suggested, changing the subject. Sabrina glared for a second, her eyes promising that she wouldn't forget the argument, but she nodded. The light atmosphere shifted, and they switched into planning mode.

"So, the Treasury, right?"

"Yeah. It's protected by magic, so only the royal family and a few others can get in, but there are also a few guards. We'll have to take the guards out, then you can be the look out while I go in and look for the ring."

"I don't like the idea of us being separated like that," Sabrina grumbled. "What if something happens to one of us, and the other isn't there?"

"I'll be quick," Puck said. "And anyway, I don't think the treasury is big enough for me to be out of yelling distance. We'll be fine. And remember, best case scenario, we get home tonight!" Sabrina nodded, and leaned into his shoulder. She still had her doubts, but it seemed like a pretty solid plan. But solid did not mean perfect. There were still things that could go wrong.

"So we do it tonight?" She asked.

"The sooner the better, right?"

"That rhymes!" Sabrina giggled, before getting serious again. "Sooner probably is better. But we should wait until one or two, instead of midnight. More people will be asleep." Puck agreed, and they decided to work out the finer details of their plan in the hour they had before dinner.

Unfortunately, their time was cut short when a maid turned up to dress Sabrina for dinner. She had wanted to send the maid away, but Puck pointed out that it could look suspicious if she turned the maid away. Reluctantly, she let the maid in, who giggled when she saw Puck and Sabrina, alone, in the room. Puck made a big show of kissing her hand, then whispered in her ear that he would come back to her room at nine that night so they could start their plan.

When the time came, they would be ready.

Dinner that night was a very strained affair. Puck, who was sitting on his father's right side, looked tense, and was subtly leaning away from the man seated next to him. Mustardseed, on the other hand, seemed to be sitting in his own personal stormcloud, brooding silently and not talking to anyone.

Sabrina suspected that he had been like that all day. She hoped that it wasn't because of their talk. The last thing they needed was for someone to get in the way of their plans when they were so close to getting back home.

Unfortunately, dinner dragged on, and Sabrina never got a chance to talk to Puck. As soon as dessert had been taken away, Oberon had steered him away from the dining room, going to who knows where to do who knows what. Sabrina knew that he would be fine, but she was still nervous. She hoped that Oberon wouldn't keep him that long.

Soon after Puck had left, Sabrina decided that it would be reasonable to make her excuses and leave dinner. 1800s conversation was really dull, and she was full of nervous energy in anticipation of the mission ahead. She faked a yawn, and Titania excused her.

Only a few seconds after Sabrina had left the dining room, she ran straight into someone's chest.

"Oh, sorry-" She started to say, before she got a good look at the person's face.

"Puck?" She backtracked. He was wearing different clothes than he had been at dinner, and he was looking down at his hands while he picked at his fingernails. He hadn't even apologized for running into her!

"Are you okay?" She blurted out, looking at him in concern. At her question, he immediately jerked upright, yanking his hand apart and squaring his shoulders.

"Nothing's wrong! I'm doing well!" he replied quickly. Sabrina squinted at him. On top of the new clothes, his hair looked neat, which she had seen maybe twice in all the years that she had known him.

"Why aren't you with Oberon? I thought that you wouldn't be done for a few hours."

"Uh… I'm not done! I just had a quick break!"

"To change clothes?" She questioned. He ran a hand through his hair, and Sabrina almost sighed, her fingers twitching to fix it. She shook off the urge, meeting his gaze. She had more important things to be doing than fixing his hair, which he would surely protest. They couldn't afford an argument right now.

"Yeah… Father wanted me to look more presentable, so I changed clothes." It was as good a reason as any, but Sabrina still felt that something was off.

"Okayyyy… But we can still meet tonight, right?" Puck gulped, suddenly looking nervous.

"Um, yeah. What time, again?" Sabrina glared at him.

"We literally planned this like two hours ago! How could you have forgotten?" He opened his mouth, but she held a hand up. "Never mind, don't answer that. Just come to my room at nine." He nodded.

"Nine, got it," he repeated. Sabrina rolled her eyes, but leaned forward and quickly brushed her lips across his. He flinched, jumping away from her.

"I gotta go!" He muttered, and sped away around the corner. Sabrina stared after him. Why was he acting all nervous? And why did he run away when she kissed him? Was he… Could he be having second thoughts about them? Sabrina decided she didn't like the turn her thoughts had taken, so she tried to force it out of her mind. Puck was probably just stressed about whatever Oberon had asked him to do; that had to be it.

And anyway, she would see him later, so there was no use worrying over nothing now. She wanted to focus all her energy in the mission ahead.

At nine thirty, Puck finally turned up at Sabrina's door, looking disheveled. He was back in the same clothes he had been wearing during dinner. Sabrina surveyed him.

"What happened to you?" She remarked. He sent her a glare before flopping face down on her bed.

"Do you have any idea how… How stuffy all these fancy faerie dudes are? I thought that I had seen the worst of them, but no! It's a constant stream of grumpy old men who all hate me!"

"That sucks," Sabrina said. "But you won't have to deal with it that much longer. Ready?"

"Of course. But we still have like four hours."

"I know!" Sabrina exclaimed. "I wish we could watch a movie or something. I hate 1822! There's nothing to do!" Puck nodded, then his face brightened. He smirked, before grabbing her hand and pulling her down onto the bed next to him.

"I can think of a few things we can do…" He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. Sabrina rolled her eyes, wanting to shove him, but the moonlight coming through the window was lighting up Puck's hair in just the right way, and his green eyes were dark, and his smirk was just so infuriating. The only thought she could fully form was that he was perfect, and that he was hers.

Tugging on his arm and scooting herself across the bed, she tilted her head up and brought their lips together. She buried both hands in his blonde locks and pulled him even closer to her.

"'Brina," He whispered, after she pulled away. His eyes had turned an even darker shade of emerald, and he was staring at her in a way she had never seen before. This time, when he leaned forward, he practically devoured her lips with his. When she felt his tongue brush her lips, she jumped at the unexpected feeling. Puck immediately tried to pull away, but she didn't let him, using her grip on his hair to pull him back to her. She kissed him more passionately than she ever had before, and when she felt his tongue again, she pushed hers forward in response. He groaned, and Sabrina grinned against his mouth. She loved that she could make him sound like that.

She felt the hands on her waist hesitantly slip lower to grasp her hips, and she leaned in to the touch, telling him that it was okay. When his lips moved off her mouth to start trailing kisses down her jaw, she felt herself let out an involuntary sigh. She blushed as Puck smirked at her for just a second before gently sucking just behind her ear. She shuddered. He had never done this before.

She slid one of her hands down his chest and untucked his shirt, hesitantly sliding her fingers across his bare stomach. He growled in her ear, and leaned into her touch. She slowly slid her hands higher, pulling her shirt with them over his muscled torso. She briefly wondered when Puck had gotten so strong, but decided that she would rather appreciate it in the moment and hear the story later.

Puck trailed his kisses lower and lower from her ear, and she gasped when he bit down on her collarbone. When he started going lower, however, mouth brushing the top of her dress, she hesitated. Puck felt her stop moving, and immediately brought his head up.

"Sorry, too far?" He asked. Wordlessly, Sabrina nodded. She wanted to keep kissing him, but she had never gotten that far with a guy before, and she would rather wait to do that when they had gotten home to their correct time.

"Sorry," She muttered, feeling her cheeks heat up.

"Hey, don't be sorry," Puck said, hugging her. "It's good. We've really only been dating what, two days? And we don't have to do anything that you're not comfortable with."

"Thanks," Sabrina responded, still looking down. "But wait, two days?"

"Yeah," Puck laughed. "Our first kiss was the night of the ball, two nights ago, when we ate the muffin. The next morning we confirmed that we were dating. So I guess we could really say that we've been dating for a day and a half, but-"

"That wasn't our first kiss," Sabrina interrupted him.

"Yeah it wa-" she smirked at him when his eyes widened in realization. "That does not count! We were twelve!"

"It still happened!" She laughed. "And then we waited four years to have our next kiss, but I think it was worth it." She poked him in the side. "Do you think it was worth it?"

"Of course I do!" He said indignantly. "But I would have preferred it if our first, no second kiss, was in our own time, not in the palace of Faerie, and not after several years of awkward sexual tension!" Sabrina shoved him.

"We did not have awkward sexual tension between us!" She cried. Puck just raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, we totally did. Just ask Daphne when we get home." Immediately, Sabrina's face fell. Daphne. She had been thinking of her all the time over the last few days, even more often than she thought of Puck. She loved her whole family, but she was closest to her annoying little sister. She wondered how Daphne was doing without her, and how worried everyone must be. She could feel tears pricking the corners of her eyes, but she willed them back as hard as she could, blinking hard. She would see her again soon. She would see everyone again soon. Maybe even tonight.

When she opened her eyes, she noticed Puck looking at her, green eyes filled with concern.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking. I shouldn't have brought that up," He hurried to say, reaching out to hug her. She leaned into his embrace.

"It's okay. We'll see her soon."

"I know," Puck replied. "I've missed the little marshmallow." Sabrina giggled at the nickname.

"I'm sure she misses you." She nodded, but her smile fell a little as she had a concerning thought.

"Puck, do you think they miss us?"

"Of course they miss us! They're family!" Sabrina shook her head.

"No, that's not what I meant. I mean, what if they don't know that we were gone? What if, instead of a few days passing like it has here, when we get the ring, we end up in the exact same moment that we left?" Puck's eyes widened.

"Is that even possible?"

"We traveled back in time," Sabrina reminded him. "Anything is possible." They sat in silence for the next couple minutes, Sabrina still curled in his arms, each thinking about their conversation. What would they get back to, if they even made it back to the present?

Just as Puck was about to ask Sabrina if she wanted to go look for something to do to pass the time, he realized that her breathing had slowed into a steady rhythm, and her eyes were still closed. She looked so peaceful. He smiled down at her, and ran a gentle hand through her hair.

He would wake her up later. For now, she needed the sleep.

Well that was the most intense make out scene I've written so far for this. I'm honestly not a fan of it, but I hope you all thought it was okay. I just realized that they haven't really kissed since chapter 4, so I wanted to add that, especially considering that this is a Puckabrina fic. But I didn't want it to be too much, since they've only been dating for two days.

On another note, I updated! I know it's been over a month, and that's the longest I've ever waited between updates. I'm sorry! I've had this chapter half written for weeks, so I'm glad that I finally got it out.

***IMPORTANT*** This chapter marks about the halfway point in my plan for this story, and the action picks up a lot from here on out. As a refresher, Mustardseed is suspicious of Sabrina and Puck, so he contacted past Puck using a magic letter. This is a major part of the next chapter, and was also part of this chapter if you caught it *hint hint*.

I really hope that you all like where the story's going! Please review/follow/favorite to tell me what you think!
