Raw: May 14, 2012
I sigh as I walk into the locker-room. "Guess what news I just received."
Randy looked up from playing with Spike, who we had brought along to work this week. "Whatever it is, it can't be good."
"My match at Over the Limit is now a Triple Threat match with my Divas Championship on the line."
"Is it you, Beth, and Layla?"
I nod. "Sure is."
"It's you, Rissa. You'll be fine."
"I want to believe that, but this match worries me."
"I know."
"Do you have anything tonight?"
"I'm facing Chris tonight in a singles match. What about you?"
"I have nothing, but there's something for me to keep an eye on."
"And what's that?"
"Beth has a match tonight."
"Sounds like fun. Go give her hell."
I smile as I sit down next to Randy to play with Spike. "I will. I'm determined to win on Sunday."
"As you should be."
"Well, we could both win and both be champions."
"That would be fantastic."
"Yeah, as long as we can both make it through multi person matches."
"Ah…sweetheart, we'll be fine. We're both damn good wrestlers."
I smile. "You're damn right, babe. We do our jobs fantastically."
"That we do."
There's a knock on the door. Spike gets up and heads towards the door. The door opens, and Ted enters the locker-room.
Ted kneels down and starts petting Spike. "Hey, word was going around that there was a dog with you guys today. I wanted to see it for myself."
I smile. "Yeah, we adopted a dog. His name is Spike."
"He seems like he's a good dog."
"He's amazing." Randy says with a smile.
"Seems like it. I'm rather surprised that you two adopted a dog though."
Randy gives Ted a confused look. "Why's that?"
"She's never had a pet in her life. You two never mentioned it before."
I shrug. "He wanted to get one. I decided it was a good idea. We fell in love with Spike at the animal shelter."
"I think I fell in love with him too."
The door opens again, and Cody enters. "Ted, do they actually have one?"
Ted looks at Cody. "Yes, his name is Spike. He's a great dog."
Cody starts petting Spike. "Seems like it. Hi, boy. Man, you love being petted."
Randy and I look at each other and roll our eyes.
I cross my arms. "Nice to see you too, Rhodes."
Cody looks at me. "Sorry, hey, Rissa, Randy. Everyone is talking about you guys bringing a dog. He seems sweet. I like the name."
"Thanks. Do you actually mind watching him for a little bit? I'm kinda hungry, and Randy is up my ass so he'll want food too."
Randy nudges me. "Not up your ass. I'm hungry too though. Take care of my dog, boys."
"Your dog?"
"Sorry, our dog."
"Exactly. Let's go get food." I open the door to leave to come face-to-face with John Laurinaitis.
John looks at all of us and then at Spike. "I heard you two brought a dog. I didn't approve of this."
"It's not against the rules. I can bring my dog if I want to, so I did. Plus, my dad knows about it, so there's really nothing you can do." I glance at Spike as he starts to growl at Laurinaitis.
"Well, there's a lot of people in this workplace. If he's aggressive, it'll be a problem."
Randy rolls his eyes. "Don't you have a show to put on? And a match this Sunday that will get you fired if you lose? Maybe you should worry about that."
"Keep an eye on your dog." John Laurinaitis says before walking away.
Randy and I exchange a look.
"Remind me to give Spike a treat later for that." Randy whispers.
"Of course." I reply. "He's an incredible judge of character."
Beth hits Alicia with a Glam Slam and pins her.
1…2…3!
"Here is your winner, the Glamazon, Beth Phoenix!"
I run in through the crowd and go after Beth. She tries to punch me, but I avoid it and hit her with a Clothesline. When Beth gets back up, I hit her with the Chaotic Ending.
I look down at Beth. "I'm the Divas Champion, and things are going to stay that way, Beth!"
As I turn around, I come face-to-face with Layla. I swing at her, but she kicks me in the gut and hits me with the Layout.
Layla grabs my Divas Championship and raises it in the air as her theme song starts to play.
This match on Sunday was going to be difficult to win.
I sat in my locker-room, petting Spike as I watched Randy's match against Chris. I was of course upset that I wasn't the last one standing tonight when it came to me, Layla, and Beth. However, the biggest thing on my mind was my upcoming therapy session. I still had over a week until I had it, but I couldn't bring myself to actually tell anyone that I was going to therapy, not even Randy. Randy and I told each other essentially everything, so if he found out in a way that wasn't me telling him, he'd probably be pretty upset that I didn't tell him about it. I didn't want to tell him until after I had my first session though. I wanted to test things out and make sure that I could go through with this before making it a permanent part of my life for a while.
I didn't understand why going to therapy for myself only bothered me so much. I had always been open to going to couples therapy with Randy if we ever hit that point, which we never did, but when it came to going to therapy by myself, I was rather reluctant at the idea of telling people that I was close to about it, even Randy for some reason. Maybe that would be something to talk to the therapist about.
For quite some time, Randy has been bringing up my tendency to bottle up my emotions. While that isn't the original reason I decided to go to therapy, that is definitely something I should've gone to therapy for a while ago and it was another thing that I hoped to get through while doing therapy. Hopefully, I could bring myself to tell Randy about it after the first session.
I notice that Sheamus pulls Chris out of the ring, causing the match in a disqualification. Randy starts to argue with Sheamus, so referees come to separate them.
I look over at Spike. "Seems like nobody can get things to go their way. Huh, Spike?"
