Chris rushed out of Issei's house and back to their school. It was mid-morning so all the students were in their classes already. Chris rushed over to the club house and swung the double doors open.
He finds Koneko, Rias and Issei talking. The trio looks over and sees Chris in the doorway, "Holy shit! You're back Chris!" Issei rushes up to him.
"I hope the training you received helped you." Rias walks up behind Issei with Koneko in tow.
Chris smiled at everyone, "It was, I'm just glad I'm back and everyone is still good. The training was... intense to say the least. I've got a few tricks now though, so these other paladins won't know what hit 'em!"
Rias chuckles, "Glad to hear it, you almost sound like Issei there for a moment."
"Where is everyone else?" Chris asked.
"They should be arriving shortly. Until then, please tell me all about your training!" Rias said excitedly.
Chris went into detail about his training with Baraqiel and how he was able to connect with Malek and the abuse that the paladins had been put through in order to achieve their power. He went on to tell them about training both with his weapons and hand-to-hand combat. The rest of the group eventually joined the others. Everyone was very excited to see Chris again. Each of them shared stories of their training sessions and Chris shared his with them.
"Why would God do such a thing to humans?" Xenovia looked over at Asia, "I mean it just couldn't be true. Could it?"
"I'm not sure Xenovia... it sounds absolutely terrible though, those poor people." Asia looks down and clenches her skirt.
"Listen, I get that this might go against everything you both were taught in the Church, but this spirit that I've absorbed, or whatever, it's fueled by hate and rage. I can't say what the others feel, but I've got to think there is some kind of deep seeded issues there. Rage is a hell of an anesthetic, especially for these paladins trying to make it through their training."
"Man, these guys sound like they're the real deal. We still have three more of these guys to deal with? Holy hell..." Issei looks down and clenches his hands together, "I don't want to lose anyone to these assholes, I can't handle that!"
Chris stands up and looks at everyone, "I won't let that happen... Rias, I give you my word, no harm will come to any of you! I will fight for your house and name to my dying breath."
Rias stands up and bows to Chris, "Thank you, truly. We will fight these paladins as a family and for the house of Gremory! Now, let's head home and unwind a bit and celebrate your return, Chris! What do yah say?"
Chris shrugs his shoulders, "Not sure what to celebrate, but yeah sure! What did you have in mind?"
The girls all look at each other and in one voice they shout, "A hot bath!"
Chris's eyes got big, "What?"
The group got back to Issei's home and all the girls quickly ran upstairs to get ready, "Man, they really like these baths."
Issei looks over at Chris with a wild look in his eyes, "So do I!" His hands look like they're groping a pair of boobs.
"Kiba, explain this!" Chris took a step away from Issei.
Kiba chuckles with embarrassment, "Please don't mind him, he gets like this when the girls do this."
The boys head to an area in Issei's mansion that Chris had never been to before. They slide the large glass doors open and enter the massive bath area, "The hell is this?" Chris looked awestruck.
"This is the lower section of the baths, where we go normally." Kiba said
"Why are we always down here and the girls are always up there. It'd be a whole lot better if we were all together!" Issei trailed off in thought.
Chris shook his head, "Man, to be truly young like you again."
The guys get ready and head out to the baths. The girls weren't kidding, this really hits the spot, Chris thought to himself. A few moments later Chris could hear the faint sound of females talking and laughing. He looks up and can faintly make out Akeno and Rias hanging over the edge of the upper bath, "What do you think Chris? Good, right?"
"Yeah Rias, great! This place is huge!" Chris shouted up, Great views as well... Chris thought to himself. Issei groans and yells, "No, this sucks! I'm so close yet so far to the booby heaven that is up there, each of the glorious gazangas... all soapy and wet... I can't deal with it!"
Chris laughed, "Issei, come on man. You cannot be this hard up for boobs."
Issei looked at Chris and pointed at him, "Do not underestimate those with a twisted mind! I've become so much stronger because of Rias and her snowy peaks and like Akeno's bra, the girls have been a huge support!"
Chris looked over at Kiba who shrugs. Chris breaks up laughing, "Issei, I'll live vicariously through you. You crack me up dude!"
The bath doors suddenly swing open and Azazel stands in the doorway, "I hate to break up the fun and games, but we've got a problem!"
"What's up Azazel?" Issei looks over.
Looks like our fears have come true! We've had reports that there are a pair of troublemakers near the Dragon's Valley." Azazel stated.
"What's the Dragon's Valley?" Chris leaned over to Kiba.
"It's an area where a few of the dragons live, including Tannin." Kiba said worriedly.
"Well… that just won't do now will it?"
Everyone heads out of the baths. Once everyone is dressed, they meet back up in the living room where they are met with Odin, "I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, however some of my scouts have heard rumors of a pair of strong warriors causing issues in the Dragon's Valley.
"What are we waiting for! Let's get these assholes!" Issei said excitedly.
"Not so fast Issei, we can't take these guys head on without a plan." Rias said, "Chris, what are your thoughts?"
Chris ponders for a moment, "Let me be the bait, when we fought that first dude, Sir Lance-a-shit or something, I could feel him, like his power. I'm willing to bet they have the same feeling about me. Kiba and Xenovia, when we find them, flank them. Gasper and Asia, we'll need you as support. Irina, we'll need you to keep them safe. Akeno, Rias, Rossweisse, and Issei, find a good vantage point and when you see my armor, unleash hell on them!"
Everyone nods, "RIGHT!"
"You've done this a few times haven't you, Chris?" Azazel asked inquisitively.
"I did, in my past life. I was pretty good at it!" Chris said humbly.
Rias stands up and clenches her fist, "That sounds like an excellent plan, Chris! Alright everyone, we go to war! Let's show these paladins what the Gremory house is made of!"
"Oh hell yeah, Rias!" Issei stands up and puts his arms in the air.
The group gathers in the living room as Rias and Akeno transport everyone to the Dragon's Valley. When they arrive, the air is warm, and smoke hung over one of the mountains. Chris looked around and felt a strong presence, "They're in that direction, I can feel them. They're stronger than the first guy, for sure."
"Be cautious as we get closer then. We can't let them get the drop on us." Kiba said cautiously.
The group moves slowly through the vast, mountainous area. Chris feels an overwhelming power, "They're coming… FAST!" All the party members scatter to their respective locations. A few minutes pass and a pair of figures appear from behind a large rock formation. The pair approaches Chris's location; the first tall male figure speaks, "Well if it isn't Oathbreaker! We've been looking for you." His armor looked like something straight out of a futuristic video game. The second was only a few inches shorter than the first and wore plated metal armor, but it was mechanically enhanced, venting itself as the wearer took a breath. "Riddle me this, Batman? Y'alls armor is a far cry different than the other guys'. Plus, you talk… normal… he talked like he was from ye ol' bum fuck wherever."
"Riddick was… eccentric, yes… but a brother in arms nonetheless! As you've noticed we are not from this world, neither are you. We're here to put a stop to this once and for all. The Oathbreaker will be destroyed for turning his back on the paladin ethos!" The other Paladin spoke.
"Before we get this party started, who are you?" Chris asks.
The first paladin to speak pulled a massive staff from his back. As he brought it in front of him, a massive energy axe came to life! He swung the axe around easily with one hand slams it into to the ground, "I am the Paladin of Devotion, Sorrell Aegus!"
The second paladin pulled a large Warhammer from his back and slams it to the ground. In a deep, raspy voice, "I am the Paladin of Conquest, Gregor Le Torneau."
Chris starts laughing hysterically, "Holy shit! You're too much, give me a sec. I need to regain my composure." Chris finishes laughing, "Man, you both are like every antagonist in a fantasy story," Chris begins to mock them, "Let me just swingy-swing my weapon around to intimidate my opponent and then say my ridiculous ass name."
The Paladins look at each other and immediately attack Chris. He dodges their attacks easily and delivers blows to both their chest plates. They back up, "What is your name Oathbreaker?" Sorrell asks.
"Chris De Santis, at your service!"
"Not that it matters, we just need to know who will be responsible for this worlds destruction. We want to get back to our own worlds, bringing these powers with us. Each of our worlds need our help and if that means destroying you so that we can get back, that's what we will do." Gregor angrily stated.
"Wait, if you kill me, you'll go back to where you came from with your powers?" Chris said confusingly.
"Yes, we were brought here to destroy you." Sorrell stood up straight, propping his axe on his shoulder and pointing to Chris.
"You can certainly try..." Chris gets into a defensive position and his armor flashes to life. Just as that happens, Kiba and Xenovia charge the paladins from behind. The paladins swing around behind them as if they had known they were there and Sorrell's axe handle connects with Kiba sending him skidding across the ground and Gregor's hammer smashes into Xenovia with the same result, "You thought you could surprise us?! What do you take us for?"
Chris jumps back as a barrage of blasts come crashing down on the paladins. Rias, Akeno and Rossweisse work together with their energies and unleash a massive attack unlike anything Chris had seen before, "Holy shit, where did that come from girls?"
"You can thank Issei for that one!" Rias shouted down to Chris.
He looks over to Issei, decked out in his Red Dragon Emperor armor, as Issei gave him a thumbs up! A dust cloud formed where the paladins once stood. The dust cloud disappeared, suddenly, and the paladins appeared unscathed by the attack.
"Shit this is going to be a lot harder than I thought." Chris said to himself.
"Our turn..." The paladins disappear and reappeared by Akeno and Rias in the air. Sorrell's axe grazed Rias, cutting her shirt, however Gregor's hammer connected to Akeno sending her plummeting to the ground. Chris moved quickly and was able to catch her before she hit the ground. She was hurt badly from that one shot, "Akeno, talk to me. Are you ok?"
Akeno coughed, "Thank you... for catching me... I'm sorry. His hammer… I felt… holy power."
"You have nothing to be sorry about. Issei, distract those guys! ASIA!"
Issei shouts at Chris, "Right! Alright you douchenozzles, you're not getting away with this!"
Asia runs up to Chris and Akeno after helping with Kiba and Xenovia. "I'm here, Chris!"
Issei unleashes a massive onslaught against Sorrell and Gregor with Rias helping him, "Gasper, protect Asia and Akeno. Irina, come with me."
Irina and Chris run to assist with Issei and Rias attacking the paladins. Chris stops and his power begins to skyrocket. His armor changes to a beefed-up version and he looks over to Irina. He laces his fingers together, motioning to Irina to jump on. She nods and leaps onto Chris's hands as he throws her up into the air. She takes off like a rocket and lands several attacks on the backs of the paladins, sending them to the ground below. They hit the ground and Chris takes this opportunity to attack. He dashes over to their impact sites. He finds Sorrell first and grabs his leg, flailing him around like a rag doll. He smashes him into the ground and dashes over to Gregor. Chris grabs his neck and picks him up, leaping into the air. He throws Gregor to Sorrell and powers up. Chris's eyes change color and, in his paladin voice, shouts, "SKYBREAKER!" The massive energy blast hits the paladins. A massive explosion sends debris in all directions as Rossweisse puts up an energy shield to stop debris from hitting everyone. Chris floats to the ground, "Damn, I think I'll call this my Titan mode! I'm turning into those dipshits, with these names." Chris smacks his hand against his forehead.
Rias and the others rush over to Asia, Akeno, and Gasper. Issei runs over to Chris, "Damn man! What was that?"
"I found out I can increase my power by quite a lot and my armor changes to this. I'm calling it my Titan form." Chris looked around at his armor.
"That's so cool!" Issei said excitedly
"Right?!"
The smoke and debris begin to settle and the paladins appear, standing in the center of the massive crater. In a split second the dust and debris disappear as Gregor and Sorrell point up to Chris and Issei, "So you've discovered more of your power as well? Let us show you what we are capable of."
"I figured that seemed too easy. Issei get ready, hope you've still got some more in the tank." Chris looked over at Issei and smirked.
"Oh hell yeah, bring it the fuck on!" Issei and Chris fist bump and prepare to attack.
Chris can feel Sorrell and Gregor's power skyrocket. Their armor also changes to up armored versions.
"I'll take the Iron Man wanna-be." Chris talking about Sorrell.
"That leaves the walking automaton. Fine by me!" Issei clenches his fist.
Gregor and Sorrell disappear from the center of the crater and appear behind Chris and Issei, who turn around to go on the offensive. Their quick attacks were blocked by the weapons of the paladins, the quartet split off to pairs and brawl one another. Chris and Sorrell share blows for blows, each evenly matched and not connecting any significant hits. I've got find an opening on this guy, Chris thought to himself. Suddenly, Sorrell grabs his arm and slings Chris over his back and onto the ground. Chris gasps, as Sorrell begins to pound Chris into the ground. He pulls his staff from behind his back as the axe fires to life. As he brings the blade down, Chris smashes his hands together, stopping the blade from reaching him, "Gaahhh! You're formidable, Oathbreaker! However, you've only just learned your new power! We've had this power and honed it!"
"I don't give a shit how much power you have! You will not hurt the Gremory's!" Chris yells.
The ground around him breaks away as his power grows. He bats Sorrell's axe away, bends his knees to his chest and connects both feet to Sorrell's helmet. The paladin sails into the air and across the ground. Chris gets up and looks around. He finds Issei and Gregor panting from their battle, "Issei, you good bro?" Chris yells over to him.
"Could be better! This doucher is tough as hell!" Issei's armor is cracking and his body language says he is drained.
Chris hears some familiar voices as Kiba, Akeno and Koneko rush to attack Sorrell and Rias, Rossweisse, Xenovia, and Gasper attack Gregor, "We'll do our best to hold them off while you two gather your strength!" Rias yells.
In what seemed like a split second, the paladins had dispatched or incapacitated everyone except for Rias. Sorrell grabbed her and kicked her behind the knees, dropping her to the ground. He grabs her hair and lifts her head up, moving his axe toward her throat. He pushed the axe against her skin, burning her, "Now, Oathbreaker! Do you understand how futile your attacks are? We will take everything from you!"
"Don't you fucking touch her!" Issei screamed. Chris grabbed his arm as Issei began walking toward them, "He'll kill them all if we do something," Chris said quietly to Issei.
A white glow appeared around the paladins and everyone floated into the air, "If you want your people back, come alone. You'll know where to find us," In an instant the group was gone and Chris and Issei were left, defeated.
Issei dropped to his knees, "No... Rias... Akeno... everyone... they're... they're gone..." Chris could hear the tears forming in Issei's words.
Chris, choking back tears as well, grabbed Issei and pulled him up to his feet, "Come on man! We need to find out where they went."
