Saturday morning Annie got up before Teddy. She quickly showered and dried her hair leaving it wavy like the hairdresser had asked. She grabbed the silver nail polish and sat at the kitchen table to paint her nails.

Teddy came downstairs with Allison in her arms, "good morning."

"Happy wedding day," Annie called.

Teddy smiled, "can you give your sister breakfast so I can shower? She likes oatmeal."

"I can," Annie replied, she found the baby oatmeal and fed Allison a bowl. The baby was starting to babble and grab at the spoon. Annie giggled, she loved her time with her sister. Her and Josh would be babysitting that night so Teddy and Owen could spend the night at a fancy hotel near the water.

Meghan and Arizona joined them a while later to get their hair done and get ready together. It was a morning full of girl talk and giggling with mimosas. Teddy went to get her dress.

"Annie, will you help me with the back of my dress," Teddy asked.

"Of course," Annie replied. She followed Teddy upstairs and did up the tiny pearl buttons going up the back of Teddy's wedding gown. Meghan stood in the doorway and snapped a picture of the sweet moment between mother and daughter. Teddy had asked Meghan to get a picture of that moment.

"Are you ready mama," Annie asked.

"I am," Teddy said.

"Something old," Annie asked.

"Family ring," Teddy smiled.

"Something new," Arizona asked.

"My dress," Teddy replied.

"Borrowed," asked Meghan.

"Annie's earrings," Teddy said.

"Something blue," Annie asked.

"Yes," Teddy said with a smirk. She wasn't telling this group what her something blue was, that was for Owen to see when they were alone.

Together the group got in the limo and went to the beautiful waterfront venue. The ceremony would take place outside followed by drinks while the family and bridal party went to take pictures. The evening would end with dinner and dancing.

In the bridal suite dresses were smoothed and last minute photos were taken. Teddy insisted on taking several with her girls. Allison had a frilly white dress with a sash in the same emerald green as the bride's maids dresses, she had little white shoes and there was a small white rose on her headband. Teddy was stunning with her hair in a beautiful updo, her eyes sparkled, her dress fit her perfectly, it had a fitted bodice with a v shaped neckline in simple cream silk that flowed into an full A-line skirt, the straps over her shoulders were cream colored lace, small pearls decorated the front of the bodice complimenting the pearl buttons up the back. Annie's emerald bridesmaid's dress fitted her perfectly with its sweetheart neckline and strapless design that met a slim skirt.

Annie whispered to Meghan, "how visible is the scar on my back?"

"I can hardly tell," Meghan said.

"Teddy are you ready," asked Arizona.

Teddy took a deep breath, "I think so."

"Let's go then," Meghan said.

"I'll check where they're at," Annie said.

She walked to the end of the hall and peeked outside. Owen and his three groomsmen, Nathan, Jackson and Alex were standing with the pastor and the guests were all seated. Annie went back into the room.

"They're ready when we are," Annie said.

"I'm nervous," Teddy said.

"It's Owen," Meghan said, "this is about 20 years in the making. Come on Teddy I'm right behind you."

Evelyn already had Allison with her in the front row. Each of the women grabbed their bouquet of white roses and lilies before leaving the room and lining up. Seeing Teddy the pastor gave the signal and the music changed.

Arizona led the bridal party down the aisle followed by Annie and Meghan. The music changed again and their family and friends stood as Teddy walked down the aisle.

Watching the procession Anne Milner beamed first seeing Annie the shy young girl who had walked into her lab six years before. The young woman walked with confidence. But it was seeing Teddy that brought tears to Anne's eyes. Teddy was happy and only had eyes for Owen.

When Teddy reached Owen he hugged her and whispered, "your gorgeous."

Teddy blushed and whispered, "This is it I'm marrying Owen Hunt."

"I'm marrying Teddy Altman," Owen chuckled.

The pastor began the ceremony but was interrupted by Allison babbling "dada."

It had been Allison's first sound the week before. Owen let go of one of Teddy's hands and extended his arm for his mom to pass Allison to him. Teddy took the hand little Allison was waving at her. The people watching all smiled seeing the little girl sharing her parents' special day. Having both girls with them fit the focus of both Teddy and Owens past year. Their family.

The pastor continued the ceremony when it was time for the vows he said, "Teddy and Owen you'll need to join both hands for this part."

Annie passed her flowers to Arizona and stepped beside Meghan. She had seen the little nod Owen had given her.

"Annie can you hold your sister," Teddy asked.

"I will," Annie said. Annie took Allison from Owen and turned the baby so she could watch what was happening.

"Owen and Teddy have written their own vows," the pastor said, "Teddy do you want to go first?"

Teddy nodded and squeezed Owens hands, "Owen I have loved you from the very first moment we met. You've been my best friend and my family as long as I have known you. You've stood beside me through the worst moments of my life and celebrated the best ones with me. You are my person and my rock. I couldn't have done the last however many years without you. I love how your family comes first and you are always there for our family, whether it's Allison screaming in the middle of the night or cheering on Annie with me in the gallery. I love how our family is your priority every day, going for a walk or a run with me, playing with Allison or having a cup of coffee with Annie. Without a question you accepted Annie into your heart, calling yourself Uncle Owen from the first time she came down to visit, encouraging and supporting her even when I wasn't there. You are the person I want to come home to at night and make breakfast with in the morning. You love deeply and protect our family fiercely. I can't wait to see what the next many years brings with you. In my best moments and on my worst days you are always my first call, the first face I look for when I come out of the OR, the person who makes things feel real. You keep me grounded and hold me when I'm about to fall apart. You're the first person I want to see in the morning and the last one before infallible asleep. You're the person I want to go on adventures with and curl up to watch a movie. I don't want to think what my life would be like without you. Owen you are always there even if you don't agree with me I know you're always on my side. I can't promise you to be perfect or that every day will always be better than the one before but I can promise that I will be there and we will do it together. I will hold your hand when things get dark and celebrate with you when the sun comes back. Owen I love you and I will always love you."

Owen took a deep breath, "Teddy I don't know where to start. From the moment I first scrubbed in with you I knew you were special. You're strong, passionate, kind and loving. You fight harder and you give more to those you care about then anyone I know. You love deeply and I've been privileged to have you love me for years. You held me together in the worst times of my life and helped me through my darkest days. You make the simple day to day things full of love and joy, playing with Allison, kicking the soccer ball in the backyard, dancing and singing in the kitchen with Annie. You gave me our girls, our beautiful daughters, Annie and Allison. I can't wait to see what the next 50 years bring with you. I can't wait to have you by my side everyday. To be the first face I see in the morning and the last one before I fall asleep. Teddy you are my person, the one who makes things real, I can't imagine my life without you in I love you, I have since the day we met and will for the rest of our lives."

The pastor asked, "do you Theodora Grace Altman take Owen James Hunt to be your husband in good times and bad, in sickness and in health until death do you part?"

"I do," Teddy beamed with tears in her eyes.

The pastor continued, "do you Owen James Hunt take Theodora Grace Altman to be your wife in good times and bad, in sickness and in health until death do you part?"

"I do," Owen said.

"Then I pronounce you man and wife," the pastor announced, "you may kiss your bride."

Owen pulled Teddy into a passionate kiss and their friends and family cheered, baby Allison giggled when Annie covered her eyes.

Coming up for air Teddy motioned for both of her girls to step forward. Annie passed Allison to her mama.

"Congratulations mama and uncle Owen," Annie said.

Owen put his arms around both Annie and Teddy. The people watching all smiled seeing the family share a group hug.

Owen took Allison from Teddy and they made their way up the aisle together. They were followed by their wedding party.

Annie walked with Jackson.

"It's not bad working with your step dad," Jackson said.

"I have been for almost a year," Annie laughed, "once uncle Owen and mama were dating he was my step dad."

"Step dads like Owen and Richard are good," Jackson smiled, "he'll take care of your mom and look out for you. Owen cares and will treat you like his own."

"I know," Annie said, "he always has."

"You do have to dance with me when they get the wedding party up there," Jackson teased, "before you spend all night with Riggs jr."

"One dance," Annie said, "I hope you're good."

"I know," Jackson said, "dr world champion."

"That wasn't supposed to be common knowledge. I don't dance anymore," Annie said, "Josh is a great dancer. I taught him."

"My mom made me take ballroom lessons," Jackson groaned.

"It was part of our pas de deux training for ballet and the UBC dance team," Annie said.

"We'll be fine," Jackson said, "just follow."

"I can do that," Annie said, "one command performance by the wedding party then I'm with Josh. Mama and Uncle Owen let us invite a table of our friends so I'll do the family things then see them to dance and have a couple drinks."

"You partied with a few of the attendings when we were residents," Jackson said, "Grey and Yang were giving you something."

"Tequila," Annie laughed.

"What was the occasion," Jackson asked, "we were in the backyard at Teddy's house."

"I had finished my bachelors and mama wanted to celebrate," Annie said, "I had shots and danced in the grass with all the residents. Mama was a little shocked I was drinking. I was still 20."

"You grew up in Canada," Jackson said.

"Exactly, I started drinking at 19 because the drinking age is lower there," Annie said.

The family and wedding party went to take wedding photos. They took a lot with the family and some beautiful photos of Teddy and Owen with her in her gown and him in his tux the photos captured how in love the couple was. One of Teddy's favorites was a candid of Annie playing with Allison trying to keep the baby smiling.

At the reception Annie finally met up with Josh. She threw her arms around him and kissed him.

"I've missed you too," Josh laughed.

Annie whispered, "I don't like being away from you."

Josh leaned his forehead against hers, "I know. Are you coming home tonight?"

Annie said, "with Allison at mama's I promised so they could enjoy their wedding night."

Josh groaned, "opposite shifts all week, you were at Teddy's last night and you agreed to babysit tonight."

"We're both off Monday," Annie said, "mama will pick Allison up around one tomorrow. Then they go on their honeymoon and we go home. I brought you stuff for the morning. It's already in the guest room at mama and uncle Owens."

Josh ran his hand across Annie's left shoulder, tracing the scar on her back, "you left your shoulder bare. That's the first time I've seen that."

Annie nodded, "it took a lot for me to do it. Meg and I talked about it before we chose our dresses."

Josh kissed her again, "you look amazing. I've never seen you in that colour before."

"Green isn't one I usually choose," Annie said.

"I'm loving the strapless dress," Josh said.

"Thank you," Annie said, "we need to do things that have you wearing that suit more often. I like it."

"I haven't worn it in a long time," Josh said.

"Intern mixer," Annie said.

After dinner it was time for the toasts. Nathan and Meghan spoke together as the best man and maid of honour. Richard made a short toast as well as Evelyn. Then it was Annie's turn.

"I know it's not traditional for the bride's daughter to make a toast but here I am. For those that don't know me I'm Grace Altman, Teddy's oldest daughter, my family usually calls me by my childhood nickname Annie. Over the last few years mama and I have been through a lot together and uncle Owen as I call him has been with us through most of it. I really don't know how I would have done the last few years without them. Mama has been my sounding board, biggest supporter, travel buddy, confidante and cheerleader. Uncle Owen has been there to cheer us on and has come to my rescue in the middle of the night to make sure mama and I weren't alone. Over the last few years we've celebrated some awesome things together, including my baby sister. Thank you both for being there and encouraging me. Mama and uncle Owen this has been a long time coming. I'm happy that this day finally came. The two of you belong together. Uncle Owen you make mama happier than I've ever seen her. Thank you for making mama happy and accepting me as part of your family. I love both of you! To mama and uncle Owen!"

"To Teddy and Owen," the crowd echoed.

As Annie passed behind Teddy and Owen on her way back to her seat they both hugged her.

"Thank you sweetheart," Teddy said.

"Thank's little bear," Owen smiled, he knew no one could hear him.

"I didn't know you were going to do a toast," Teddy said.

"I wanted to surprise you," Annie said, "Callie knew and she's your MC."

The rest of the night went well and people danced late into the night.

Annie spent the night dancing with Josh. Annie smiled at Teddy and Owen swaying slowly to the music. Teddy's head on Owen's shoulder smiling up at him. There were only three couples left, all family.

"Mama, Uncle Owen," Annie said, "we're going to go. We need to pick up Allison from Mrs. M."

"Thank you for looking after her tonight," Teddy said, "are you sure you're okay to?"

"We have it Teddy," Josh said, "we'll see you tomorrow."

"It's fine mama," Annie said, "it's only a few hours and she'll sleep most of it."

"Good night sweetheart," Teddy said hugging Annie.

"Good night mama," Annie said, "go have fun tonight. We're all good, don't worry about us."

Owen led Teddy to the limo he had booked to take them to their hotel. When they were seated she leaned against him and smiled up at him.

"That was perfect," Teddy said.

"It was," Owen agreed, kissing Teddy.

They rode in silence to the hotel where Owen helped Teddy out of the limo and took her up to their room, he had checked in before the wedding. The room was ready for them, earlier Owen had brought up a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

They entered the room and Teddy threw her arms around Owen kissing him passionately. She pressed her body against his.

"I've been waiting all day to be alone," Teddy whispered in his ear.

"So have I," Owen replied, returning her kiss.

Teddy whispered, "I'm going to get ready for bed. Can you help me with my dress?"

Owen began to undo the tiny buttons on the back of Teddy's dress. He left kisses across her shoulders and back as he undid her dress pushing the straps off her shoulders. He let her dress fall to the floor and helped her pull the last pins from her hair letting the curls fall loose over her shoulders. Teddy turned and kissed Owen wrapping her legs around his waist. Owen carried her to the bed and laid her down on it.

A while later they were sitting wrapped in the blanket sipping champagne when Teddy started to giggle.

"Why are you giggling this time," Owen chuckled.

Teddy kept giggling, "I'm naked in bed with Owen Hunt and we're married."

"I've imagined this night and with the giggles this time," Owen said, kissing her.

"I married Owen Hunt," Teddy said.

"I married Teddy Altman," Owen echoed.

"I love you," Teddy said, kissing Owen again.

"I love you too," Owen replied.

The next afternoon Teddy and Owen returned home to find Annie and Josh playing with Allison in the backyard.

"How was your night," Annie asked.

"It was perfect," Teddy replied, "absolutely perfect."

"How was Allison," Owen asked.

"She was good," Annie replied, "she's another early bird."

"She doesn't sleep," Owen said.

"She was asleep when we picked her up and got up around six," Annie said, "she keeps looking for mama."

Teddy sat on the blanket beside her girls, "did you miss me baby girl?"

Allison smiled and babbled.

"Has she eaten," Teddy asked.

"Real food," Annie said, "no bottles, she refused it and I didn't feel like fighting with her. So I just let her have actual food. She liked yogurt and scrambled eggs. She wanted my raspberries but I think she might be too little still, she liked the banana though."

"I'll take her inside then," Teddy said, "thank you for babysitting."

"We like to," Annie replied.

"What time do you leave," Josh asked.

"Our flight is at 5 so we'll leave here around 1:30," Owen said.

"Where are you going again," Josh asked.

"San Francisco for a few days," Owen replied, "we could only get a week off so we'll go for 5 nights and have two at home. Do you have a busy week?"

"We're residents, it's always busy," Annie laughed.

"I'm going solo this week on a gallbladder removal," Josh said, "first in our class."

"Make sure you text and tell us how it goes," Owen said.

"I'll send a play by play from the gallery," Annie said.

Owen laughed, "that's okay. I only did that last summer because mama was in Germany. Josh can call us after."

Teddy came back outside with a much happier Allison who Teddy put back on the blanket to play. At 8 months the little girl enjoyed rolling on the grass and was close to crawling.

The family chatted for a bit before Annie said , "we'll get out of your way and let you get organized. Have a great trip."

"Thanks so much for everything yesterday," Teddy said, "I'm glad you could do that with me."

"I was happy to," Annie said, "I'm happy for you."

"Thank you," Teddy said, "I'll see you when we're back."

"Have fun," Annie said.

Annie and Josh left so that Teddy, Owen and Allison could get organized for their trip.
