Chapter 13
It had been two days and since it was the weekend Kate didn't have any classes. However, she did have homework. All of her teachers seemed to think that their class was the only class she had so each one loaded her up with homework for the weekend. Since Rick was presently not using the dining room table, she was. She had books she needed spread out all over the place and was busy writing. As was usual Rick would read them and correct all of her errors.
She was busy but had Alexis to look after since Rick was out doing some much needed grocery shopping. She was deep in her writing when she heard something.
"Alexis," Kate automatically assumed. With Rick gone it was up to her to keep track of her. It was only then that she questioned why she hadn't moved her out of the bedroom where she could keep better track of her.
She was headed for Alexis when the door bell rang. That had her attention divided. "Alexis or the door?" Alexis wasn't crying so she went to the door and opened it.
What she found was a big titted blonde woman standing there, carrying a briefcase. She was also pretty enough. "May I help you?" Kate inquired.
"Who are you?" she demanded.
Kate crossed her arms. "I asked you first and since I live here..."
She looked upset at this but Kate didn't care. "I'm Gina Cowell."
Then Alexis began crying. Kate turned her head toward Rick's bedroom. Now she needed to make a decision. "You'll have to wait." Kate shut the door in her face since Alexis came first over whoever this woman was.
"WHAT!" Gina yelled through the door. She was not going to be treated like this. This was the address for Richard Castle and she was going to talk with him.
"Hi, Alexis," Kate cooed at her and checked her diaper. "Ooo, poopy." By now it didn't stop her so she got to work. Once she was all nice and clean with a new diaper Kate picked her up thinking maybe a bottle was next.
"Front door." She had left that woman standing there. Except when she stepped out of the bedroom she saw her inside her home and she was picking up pages of Rick's book, looking them over.
Kate ran back into the bedroom where the only other phone was located and dialed 911.
"I need the police. I have an intruder. 309 University Drive, Menlo Park. I'm Kate Beckett." She was told to stay on the phone and was asked where the intruder was located so she told her. She was told the police were responding and asked if she was safe.
Kate was told the police were now at her front door. Kate told her the door wasn't locked. That was when she heard a lot of voices in her home. She hung up on the 911 lady and entered the main room.
"That's her. She broke in. Arrest her. …No, she doesn't live here," Kate answered one of the officers. The strange woman began complaining that they had no right to arrest her. However, she found herself with handcuffs and her hands behind her back.
"No, it's just me and Alexis." Kate clutched her tighter to her chest. "I live here."
She was told by the police that their records showed this place belonged to someone she had never heard of before. "My boyfriend and I rent this place. She was at the front door but I closed the door on her to change Alexis's diaper and I found her inside going through papers on the table.
"No, I have no idea who she is. My boyfriend's out buying groceries. I don't know how long that will take him. He might want to try surprising me with Japanese BBQ again knowing that I both hate surprises but also love Japanese BBQ so he may be back late. I don't know," Kate told them.
"His name is Richard Castle. He's driving a red Ferrari and no, I don't know the plate number except that it's California. The one in the driveway is one he bought for me but it's in his name."

The police and Gina were gone and this time Kate kept Alexis where she could see her though she was a bit of a distraction. Her mind was still on what had happened so she really wasn't getting much work done.
Then she heard the garage door. She scooped up Alexis out of her carrier and went to the garage to tell Rick everything that had happened.
"What was her name again?" Rick asked since Kate was talking a mile a minute.
"Gina something. She just helped herself to our house so I called the police," Kate told him yet again.
"Gina Cowell?" Rick questioned her.
"Maybe. I don't know." Kate really needed to get better and remembering names. She wanted to be a lawyer so she needed to get better at this.
"OH BOY!" Rick was in trouble, he just knew it.
"What?" Kate didn't get it.
"Gina Cowell is the person who wanted me in New York City for her precious meeting representing Black Pawn."
"OH! How was I supposed to know some big titted blonde bimbo was Black Pawn? Are we in trouble?" Kate didn't see how they were. She had broken in. Granted the door wasn't locked but it was closed.
"With her? Probably. With Black Pawn she likely is. She broke in, you had her arrested, and filed a complaint." Rick put his arms around both of them since Kate still had Alexis.
"At least you're both safe. …She actually just walked in through the door and started picking up pages of my book?" Rick watched her nod. "She's got balls. I got Japanese BBQ for you," Rick told her since he wanted off what his new editor had done.
Kate kissed him for being so thoughtful.

Rick had put away all the groceries while Kate divided up the Japanese BBQ.
"Where do we eat?" Rick looked at the table that was filled with his typewriter, book, and her giant pile of books and papers.
"The back patio maybe?" Kate suggested since they didn't have another table.
"Works for me." Soon they had food, drinks, Alexis, and were outside. It had seating for six and an umbrella. It was the only thing that had come with the house.

This time Rick answered the phone. "She broke into our home. My girlfriend answered the door and then Alexis started crying so she closed the door on her and then found her inside our home so she called the police and had her arrested. What did you expect her to do? Greet her as a long lost friend?" Rick told the person representing Black Pawn who had called him for an explanation.
"I'm not the one that had her arrested. My girlfriend did so no, I can't just drop the charges." Rick listened for a bit. "And why would I want to ask her to do that?" Rick didn't see why he should have to ask Kate to drop the charges.
"She broke into our home! Am I supposed to just over look that because she's my new editor that I only recently learned about and no, I have not received the letter you sent informing me of this. Did you send it signature required?" Rick questioned him.
"Fine. I'll ask her but if she says no don't blame me. Gina's the one that violated the law, not my girlfriend." Rick hung up and wasn't looking forward to this conversation.

"They want me to what!?" Kate yelled. "I was all alone with Alexis and this woman was in my home. What was I supposed to do?" Kate glared at him wanting some support here.
"Is this going to get you into trouble?" Kate would drop the charges if it was but otherwise the answer was going to be no. More like HELL NO!
"No, I'm not in trouble. I'm not the one that got arrested. I'm telling you what Black Pawn asked of me. Personally I think she should sit there and contemplate what she did wrong." Rick was willing to back up Kate.
"She actually came here for her precious meeting?" He found that interesting.
"Then she can sit there and rot for all I care," Kate told him and listened to him laugh. Suddenly she was being kissed so she instantly felt better.
"Big tits, huh?" Rick queried.
"On full display. The only thing you couldn't see were her nipples. Just like that FBI lady in your book." Kate may have read each and every page he had typed up so far without his permission.
Rick went back to laughing over it all. "Well we now have a story to tell Alexis when she grows up enough to understand it." That finally got Kate to grin.

Kate was waiting for Rick to show up that night and finally watched him enter her bedroom. She showed him a condom that they were going to be using tonight. This would be condom number five in the last two days. Kate was grinning at him.
They didn't have sex in Rick's bedroom because Alexis was in there. Even if she didn't understand it Kate wasn't going to let her see that.

It wasn't until Alexis started crying did Rick leave her bed. However, Kate was grinning as he gathered her up close, got a quick kiss, and then watched his naked ass walk away from her.
She was still going to be a little sore in the morning because she hadn't yet adapted to his size but she had plans to get a lot of practice so she was. One of these times she was going to get on top and drop herself down onto him so he was inside her in one swift stroke.
Their relationship had definitely changed. They were lovers and both were loving it.

Kate was at school and Rick had Alexis and was busy typing away when the doorbell rang. The UPS didn't usually ring the bell telling him that something had been delivered but it might be them.
Rick opened the door. "Yes?" He saw a blonde woman on the other side who did have big tits and she was showing them off.
"Richard Castle?" She questioned him.
"You must be Gina Cowell. You fit the description of a big titted blonde bimbo that my girlfriend told me about." Rick was a bit amused that she had showed up again.
"That bitch had me arrested," Gina snarled and suddenly had the door slammed closed in her face and could hear the door being locked.
"WHAT THE…!" She was not going to be treated like this and started leaning against the doorbell over and over again.
She was still leaning on the doorbell when finally the door opens again. "Call my girlfriend a bitch again and I will report you to Black Pawn. They can add that to your arrest record," Rick informed her coldly. He had every intention of defending Kate's honor.
Then they both heard Alexis start to cry. "You get to wait." Rick closed the door and locked it and went to attend to Alexis. Except he hadn't even reached her yet when Gina started ringing the doorbell over and over again.
After he was done with Alexis, Gina was still ringing the doorbell over and over again. Now he had a choice to make. Answer the door or do something else. "What would Kate do if she was home alone?" Rick asked himself.

Eventually the doorbell stopped ringing and was followed by someone knocking and then he heard a man's voice say, "Police."

Rick watched Gina being helped into the back of a police car with her hands cuffed behind her back as he gave his statement about everything that had happened, starting with the time Kate had been home all alone with Alexis and she had just helped herself into their home. Then he described his side of what happened this time.
"I think I have everything. If we have any additional questions, we'll return." He felt for this couple and he was just doing his job. He had signed a complaint so Gina Cowell was once again arrested.
Rick went back to Alexis and decided that he wasn't in the mood to write so he gathered up Alexis, took a Heineken out of the refrigerator, and went outside after gathering up a blanket to put Alexis on. Tired and annoyed, he sat on the grass with her and drank his beer, waiting for the phone call from Black Pawn. He was sure this was going to be a doozie.

Kate still wasn't home yet when he heard the phone ringing and decided to let it ring. When it stopped ringing he picked up Alexis and the blanket and went back inside to wait for it to ring again.

"HONEY, I'M HOME!" Kate really couldn't resist. She was even starting of thinking about calling him honey from now on instead of Rick. He was her boyfriend and they were now lovers.
However, she no sooner yelled for him than the phone rang and since it was right there she answered it. "Hello?'
"Katie!" Johanna wanted an update.
"Hi, Mom!" Kate worked at taking off her backpack and dropped it on the floor. "I just got home from my last class. You and dad didn't warn me how hard these classes were." She had a bone to pick with those two.
"Where is the fun in that?" Johanna countered. "So what's new?"
"Let's see. Someone that I found out later was from Black Pawn showed up at the door. Except Alexis started to cry so I closed the door on her. When I came back out with Alexis she was standing in our dining room going over Rick's papers that are his book." Kate only made it that far.
"NO! Please tell me you called the police." In her mind her daughter was in danger and this lady had broken in.
"I did and the police showed up and arrested her. I gave the police my statement and signed the complaint. I didn't know who it was till Rick got home. Then Black Pawn called and demanded that I drop the charges." Kate was exaggerating a bit since Rick hadn't used that word, but it sounded better.
"And you said no." Johanna hoped she knew her daughter.
"Damn right! Haven't heard from her since," Kate told her and watched Rick with Alexis show up.
"Gina came back and wouldn't go away so I called the police and they arrested her after I signed a complaint," Rick said.
Kate gaped at him with her mouth hanging open. "Seriously?"
"NO WAY!" Johanna had heard that. "What's wrong with that woman?"
"I'm thinking Black Pawn called again to get the charges dropped but I was out back with Alexis so I didn't answer the phone," Rick told her.
"GOOD MAN!" Johanna approved.
"She actually came back and got arrested again!?" Kate couldn't believe it.
"Put Rick on the phone, Katie," Johanna asked.
Johanna had questions and mostly Kate heard just Rick's side. He gave Johanna her full name, address, and phone number for Black Pawn in New York City.
"I'm going to give Black Pawn here a little visit. This has to stop. They don't know who they're messing with." Johanna was going to come down hard on their heads. No one messed with her daughter or Rick. "Put Katie back on the phone for me," Johanna asked him.
"Yes, Mom?" Kate was listening.
"Your father and I are going to go have a little talk with Black Pawn. I want you and Rick to stand firm. This woman deserves what she's about to get. Do you understand?" Johanna knew her daughter could be stubborn but she also needed to grow a backbone if she was going to be a lawyer.
"Got it, Mom." If her mom said so she would do just that.
"Good, now don't do something to lose him, Katie. He sounds like a good man and don't be afraid of Alexis." Johanna didn't want her running because he had a baby.
"Not doing that, Mom." Kate grinned at Rick knowing they were making love again tonight.
"Good. Now I need to talk to your father and decide how we're going to handle this. Talk to you later, Katie." Johanna hung up.
"Mom said she and dad are going to go talk to Black Pawn about her. She actually got arrested again?" Kate didn't believe this woman.
"She wouldn't stop ringing the doorbell so I called the police and told them everything starting with the first time she was here. She'll probably be out on bail in an hour or so." Rick was a betting man.
"Let me take a shower first and then I'm driving. We're going out to eat to avoid that woman. I have homework but I can stay up late to finish it. I don't need it for a couple of days anyway." Kate kissed him. "Hi, Alexis." Kate kissed her too and headed for her bedroom. She was thinking so much for sex tonight. That woman was screwing up everything.

Kate wasn't very particular about just where to eat. She just wanted out of the house and to not be there when that woman came back. If she came back.
"You know what your mother has planned?" Rick asked Kate while they waited for their food to arrive.
"Mom opened a business to fight for the people that can't normally afford a good lawyer. She knows how to fight using the law. Knowing Mom she'll explain to Black Pawn what she thinks Gina has done and what will happen if she tries that again.
"I doubt Mom will threaten, that's not her way. She'll just explain what the law says and what that means for her and them. Dad specializes in working with CEOs of companies. He understands them better than Mom does." Kate didn't know what else.
"I'll either get someone else or her. I don't really know. I'm not really sure why her in the first place. I've got to wonder what's so special about her." Rick didn't get it. Black Pawn had been good to him. Gave him his big break and published his first book when no one else would. It was why he was sticking with them.
"You think she's standing at our door even now?" Kate inquired.
"Maybe, at least until your parents talk with Black Pawn and they talk to her. I guess we'll find out." Rick really hoped she wasn't camped out at their door.
