AN: Welcome back to another installation of All Stars Divergence. I managed to pump out another chapter this week. I hope you enjoy
Chapter Four: Truth and Mutants
The camera pans in from an overview of Camp Wawanakwa into focus on Chris standing at the docks once more.
"Welcome back to Total Drama All Stars. Last time we left off, the campers had to dig through the sand to build replicas of famous structures. During this time we had some… incidents," Chris stated cautiously as clips of Ezekiel getting thrown into the crab pit and Mike getting hit in the face by a shovel, "And a surprising lack of Courtney and Gwen interaction thanks to Leshawna telling Gwen to just leave Courtney be. Which means a bit less drama, but that seems to be stirring up without their feud thanks to Zoey's sketchy elimination," A clip of Zoey getting flushed away is shown, "But besides that, my favorite part of last episode was Noah finally getting a girlfriend."
At this, Chris is seen pushed into the water by Noah, who is seen scowling at him.
"Will you ever stop?" Noah questioned and Chris shrugged as he swam to shore as Noah walked away, satisfied for now with pushing Chris in the water.
"As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted, will the truth of Zoey's elimination be revealed, will Ezekiel survive Boney Island, and will I stop saying Noah has a girlfriend? No to the last one at least." Chris snarked and a pencil hit Chris in the face courtesy of Noah.
"Find out this time on this dumbass show." Noah snarked from the docks and Chris protested him finishing the recap as the camera cut away from them.
Dear Mom and Dad I'm doin' fine,
The camera shows four spotlights popping out of the trees, with one pushing out with toilet paper on top of it, as well as one pushing out soap along with it. The camera then zooms through the camp, past a squirrel, the confessional, the bathrooms, and the two cabins, the Spa Hotel, and the old one from the original season. Chris is seen with an ankle bracelet on his ankle as Chef takes it off as Chris holds up the million dollars as the camera dives into the shark infested waters beneaths the cliff.
You guys are on my mind.
Owen is once again seen swimming under the water, this time along with Scott, as both of them try to outswim a pursuing Fang, the mutated shark, with a terrified Cameron hanging onto the shark.
You asked me what I wanted to be
Brick is then shown helping Cameron off the shark's back and pulls him onto a raft as, also on the raft, Dawn calms the angered mutant shark as Owen and Scott are laying on the beach, out of breath.
And now I think the answer is plain to see,
The camera then pans to the woods with DJ sitting with Sasquatchanakwa, meditating peacefully, when a mist of hair spray gets into their eyes, making the two meditators run to get the spray out of their eyes, which the pans to show Anne Maria spraying her hair, which is snatched away by Eva, who crushes it with one hand.
I wanna be famous.
Lightning is seen nearby racing against Jo and as Lightning gets a small bit ahead, Jo tackles the jock. Duncan is seen laughing at the situation, to which Gwen smiles slightly as Courtney growls at her ex for laughing at all.
I wanna live close to the sun,
Harold swings by the tackled Lightning on a vine with Izzy on a vine as well as she throws a knife at Harold's vine, causing him to fall and get caught by Leshawna. Leshawna rolls her eyes as she pecks his cheek as Izzy jumps from her vine onto an unassuming Ezekiel, knocking him to the ground.
Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won,
Justin knocks on the confessional door nearby as Lindsay pokes her head out and looks confused before reclosing the door, much to Justin's annoyance. Alejandro pats the handsome teen's back and shakes his head as Heather narrows her eyes at Alejandro nearby.
Everything to prove, nothing in my way
The camera pans to Noah reading a book at the Spa Hotel when he suddenly slams it shut and glares at a kissing Mike and Zoey, who shrug, not seeing the problem as Noah marches off. As Noah marches off, Cody pokes his head out from behind a vase as Sierra snatches him up and carries him off to unknown places.
I'll get there one day.
The camera then pans to the beach, with Courtney chasing Gwen with a baseball bat as Owen tries to stop the situation from escalating as Noah just smirks at the sight and is knocked to the ground by Sierra running with Cody in his clutches, dropping the boy, who scrambles away from his obsessed stalker.
Cause, I wanna be famous!
The Drama Machine grabs Courtney to stop her from assaulting Gwen, to which a nearby Alejandro shudders at the sight of the machine as Justin mockingly pats him on the back and Heather looks at the machine in guilt.
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!
Lindsay is seen trying Beth's flaming baton routine, but immediately drops them to the ground as Dawn tries to instruct her and demonstrates the routine to her. Lindsay claps at the example Dawn gives as Eva walks past the two, as with DJ, Lightning and Jo, toss Anne Maria into the lake along with all her hair spray. DJ looks especially annoyed with his eyes still stinging.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
Ezekiel is seen strumming a guitar as Scott tries to play the theme song on a banjo, to a worse attempt than Ezekiel. Harold is seen beatboxing the theme as Brick plays it on a kazoo as Leshawna looks at the four 'musicians' with a deadpan expression.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
The song finishes with all contestants around the campfire, with Mike and Zoey going in for a kiss when Chris pops up behind them and smiles at the camera, making Mike and Zoey look away from Chris as Chef drags Chris back from the two campers. The campers then finish off the intro by whistling the theme.
Courtney is seen watching Gwen talk to Duncan outside from her bedroom and just glares at the two from above.
"Just drop it already. You're the only one who cares anymore." Heather deadpanned as she brushed her hair and Courtney rolled her eyes.
"They have got to be plotting something against me, I just know it." Courtney narrowed her eyes at Duncan and Gwen as Sierra walked back into the room.
"Oh let me guess, she's still staring at Gwuncan?" Sierra asked and Heather nodded.
"The fanbase is kind of split on the pairings, if Gwuncan, Courtcan or Gwent are the best. A lot of people just want Duncan and Courtney to date again." Sierra informed and Courtney scoffed.
"As if I'd still want to date that dirt monkey." Courtney looked offended and Sierra shrugged as she got on her phone.
"How'd you even smuggle your phone here?" Heather asked and Sierra shook her head.
"Can't give away my trade secrets." Sierra said secretively as Eva walked in.
"She hid it in my luggage because she knew no one would go through it." Eva bluntly stated and Heather shrugged.
"I mean, fair enough." Heather admitted as she left the room and cast another glance at Courtney.
Confessional:
"Honestly, I want Courtney gone. All she's done so far is blank Duncan and Gwen, complain, and whine about them and tried to assert herself as leader over me and Jo. At least Jo has experience with the whole toxic waste stuff whereas Courtney is a bitch who has whined and cried her way into season two and tried throwing challenges on the plane. As soon as I'm able to, she's gone. No one likes her anyways." Heather seemed a bit peeved.
Confessional 2:
"Heather's wrong. People like me. Like… uh Bridgette… but she hasn't called in months… Geoff? But he and DJ and Duncan are best friends and would probably hate me now… uhm… I… I…" Courtney revealed she overheard Heather but then slowly realized she was right. She was all alone. This sent Courtney into tears as she locked the confessional door to keep to herself.
End Confessional:
"So pasty, I noticed you haven't really been trying to win over Courtney now." Duncan pointed out to his girlfriend.
"I talked with Leshawna and I realized that I should just let Courtney figure stuff out on her own and if she wants to talk, then she can come to me." Gwen explained and Duncan nodded.
"She's always been more of a lone wolf type. Hell I was more of a team player than her." Duncan said and Gwen nodded in agreement. Suddenly, Harold fell out of a tree near them.
"Have either of you seen Dawn? I had some questions for her." Harold asked and Duncan's eyes narrowed slightly as he and Gwen shook their heads. Harold noticed Duncan's reaction and decided to save that information for later. Harold then left the two of them as Justin walked up to them. Gwen then gave a peck on his cheek before walking back into the Spa Hotel.
"I see you haven't changed since season two." Justin noted at Duncan, who shrugged.
"What do you mean?" Duncan asked and Justin raised an eyebrow.
"Not a big deal." Justin waved it off as he walked away and left Duncan confused.
Confessional:
"What's the former pretty boy on about?" Duncan wondered about as he noticed a new hole in the confessional that hadn't been there this morning.
End Confessional:
The camera then transitioned to show Chef on Boney Island, mumbling stuff under his breath as he waded through the woods. Within the minute he stumbled onto a clearing where Ezekiel was sleeping next to a bear and Sasquatchanakwa.
"Eh, not the weirdest thing I've seen. Maggot! Time to go!" Chef yelled, waking all three sleeping there awake and the bear and Sasquatchanakwa looked ready to attack before Ezekiel raised a hand.
"Eh, don't hurt him." Ezekiel told them before the creatures growled in anger before walking off.
"Didn't take you as an animal guy." Chef commented and Ezekiel shrugged.
"It's one of the only things I could ever do right." Ezekiel commented with a sigh as he followed Chef back through to the boat
Confessional:
"Boney Island isn't too bad if you've already lived among the animals before." Ezekiel pulled his toque over his face.
End Confessional:
Noah is walking around towards the cabins when suddenly Izzy tackles him to the ground.
"I thought you were gonna ask Cody out." Izzy teased and Noah groaned as he pushed her off of him.
"That was an accident!" Noah shouted and Izzy smirked.
"Just like you blushing was an accident?" Izzy asked and Noah bit his lip and Izzy took this as an answer.
"Just ask her out already." Izzy told him and Noah looked away.
"No. Drop it already." Noah started to walk away when Izzy looked at him quizzically.
Confessional:
"I must figure out why Noah refuses to ask her out. Dawn is a fellow nature spirit and must find her true love like I found mine in Owen." Izzy stated casually.
End Confessional:
Dawn is sitting in a meadow of birds and flowers when suddenly Owen and Cody walk up to her.
"Oh hello. What brings you here?" Dawn asks as the birds flies away from Owen and Cody.
"I'm just here because Owen decided to drag me here for some reason." Cody shrugged and Owen giggled.
"It's because it's about Noah." Owen teased and Cody groaned in annoyance.
"Why are you, Eva and Izzy all always hung up about that? We were asleep!" Cody stated in annoyance and Dawn giggled.
"I assure you Owen, that he and Noah have no feelings for each other outside of just friendship." Dawn told them and Cody sighed in relief at getting some support.
"Dang… I owe Eva twenty bucks." Owen said and Cody threw his head back.
Confessional:
"My friends everyone. Well Eva isn't technically my friend because we have never hung out, but either way." Cody clapped sarcastically.
End Confessional:
"So… where are you gonna bring Noah on a date?" Owen winked at Dawn who just closed her eyes and sighed.
"I do not know. First he must come to terms with his own feelings rather than try to pursue external relationships." Dawn stated simply and Owen looked confused and Dawn decided to continue.
"But if I did take him on a date, I think it would be lovely to just have a calming picnic in the woods somewhere." Dawn admitted with a blissful smile and Owen smirked and Cody noticed this smirk.
"Owen, what're you planning to do?" Cody asked and Owen whistled innocently.
"Nothing." Owen lied poorly and Dawn giggled.
"It is written all over your aura that you plan to set me and Noah up on a date. I will comply, so long as Noah is willing." Dawn responded and Owen cheered.
"We got a date to plan dude!" Owen dragged Cody off.
"I never agreed to this!" Cody screamed out as his voice faded into the distance with Dawn petting a bird that landed on her finger.
"I suppose things shall turn out alright. I just have to hope for the best for everything." Dawn pet the bird with a sad smile.
The camera then transitioned to Eva and Jo panting as they made it to the stairs of the Spa Hotel.
"I've never had anyone even close to keeping up with me." Eva admitted and Jo nodded as she wiped her brow of sweat.
"I do know… the sha-idiot and pants wetter cadet also are able to keep up with me too." Jo admitted as well and Eva nodded.
"I'll have to race you all sometime." Eva said and Jo grinned.
"I'll beat all three of you." Jo boasted and Eva scoffed.
"As if." Eva refused to believe and Jo shrugged.
"You know… if you just stopped fighting with Heather, people might take you seriously." Eva stated and Jo raised an eyebrow.
"Why should I concede to her? She's a weakling." Jo scoffed
"A weakling in body, maybe. But remember, she's one of the two on this team who have won a season, the other being Duncan." Eva reminded and Jo looked thoughtful for a second.
"If I do let Heather lead us, will you agree to vote with me against her when she eventually screws us up." Jo asked and Eva shook her hand.
"Gladly." Eva and Jo both gave a smirk to each other at this deal.
Confessional:
"Eva and Jo, Heather and Alejandro are maybe together, Gwen and Duncan definitely, Lightning and Courtney definitely won't work with anyone. So… I suppose I should make an alliance with Ezekiel and Sierra. Maybe Justin too." Scott pondered in the confessional with his arms crossed.
End Confessional:
The camera then cuts to the contestants all in benches like the Peanut Gallery but they were above some kind of hole in the ground.
"Is this even safe?" Courtney voiced her concern, wiping away some leftover tears in her eyes.
"Eh, we got the approval so should be good." Chris said standing on solid ground nearby.
"What's even in this hole?" Cameron tried to look down but couldn't see anything.
"Oh just some mutant gophers from the mines last season." Chris casually mentioned and Mike gulped nervously.
"Mutant gophers?" Mike asked shakily and Chris nodded.
"Yep. Couldn't really make you do this challenge in the lake with Fang being elsewhere at the moment." Chris smirked and Jo's eyes glared at Chris.
"No. We are not fucking doing this challenge again." Jo hissed out and Chris smirked.
"Oh but we are. Welcome contestants to Truth and Mutants. Just as Jo said, she did this challenge before last season. We'll have each team go one at a time to see if anyone can guess a truth of their teammates or the person themselves reveal it. And if you don't, we drop you into the pit with the mutant gophers for a minute. And just so you know, they're getting a bit hungry recently." Chris stated evilly, making many people gulp except Izzy.
"Woo! We get to see the gophers I lived with!" Izzy cheered and Chris just shook his head in exasperation.
"Anyways, heroes since you lost last time, you get to go first. The first truth is… which of you has been to juvie before?" Chris asked and everyone started looking around in confusion to try to figure this out.
"Izzy?" Noah shrugged and Izzy shook her head.
"They wish they could get me in there." Izzy cackled and Noah shrugged, knowing this was probably true.
"Five, four, three, two, one." Chris counted down and held up a fist.
"Was it Izzy?!" Cameron shouted out, trying to at least try something.
"Nope it was not. Time for the punishment." Chris then pressed a button and the heroes fell into the hole, still on their seats, screaming in terror.
"Five, four, three and I'm bored. Back up we go." Chris pressed the button again after a minute and the heroes came back up, seemingly unscathed.
"How the?!" Chris said in complete befuddlement.
"Oh I told them that we weren't the current food dish coming down. But I did say next time they could chase us if they wanted to." Izzy explained and Leshawna kicked her in the shin.
"You told them what?!" Leshawna almost screamed at the crazy girl, who just shrugged.
"Moving on, villains, who amongst you has never gone on a date?" Chris asked and Eva quickly spoke up.
"It was me, asshole. Thanks for sharing." Eva admitted and Chris shrugged.
"I expected a bigger reaction from that but eh." Chris seemed indifferent.
"Wait, Zeke's been on a date?" Duncan questioned and Ezekiel shrank in his seat.
"Apparently he went on a date with a mutant gopher when he was feral." Chris stated and Ezekiel shrank lower as some villains started laughing at him.
"Moving on, heroes, which of you has a fear of blood?" Chris asked and Noah shrugged.
"Me. I have a fear of needles too. I'm expecting some Phobia Factor challenge later this season anyways." Noah revealed and Chris shrugged.
"I'm not revealing that right now." Chris stated and Noah stared at the camera.
Confessional:
"Aka, there's gonna be a Phobia Factor challenge this season." Duncan snarked at the camera.
Confessional 2:
"I do wonder, what would everyone's fears here be?" Sierra pondered as she typed on her phone.
End Confessional:
"Villains, who among you is bisexual?" Chris smirked, hoping to catch them with this one.
"This is dumb. I haven't really hid that fact." Courtney scoffed and Heather raised an eyebrow.
"I don't think it's really come up before, has it?" Heather asked and Courtney shrugged.
"No one bothered asking." Courtney excuses, not meeting her eyes, and Chris sighs.
"Ok those were the easy questions. Time to make this a bit harder. Heroes! Who among you has killed a deer before?" Chris asks and the team looks around in worry.
"Deers bring no one danger though." DJ said with a quivering lip and Harold pats his back.
"I'm sure whoever it was didn't mean to. Though, Owen was it you? Mr. one with nature?" Harold questioned and Owen shook his head.
"Nope! Me and my gramps didn't really take part in deer season." Owen informs and Dawn sighs.
"It was me." Dawn sadly reveals and everyone gasps.
"Ok, I did not see that one coming." Cameron whispers to Mike, who nods in agreement.
"I didn't want to though… but there was no way to bring her to safety or remove the bullet in her chest… if I didn't… she would've suffered more…" Dawn looked almost in tears as Chris shrugs.
"No one cares for the sob story." Chris ignores her and Noah snaps.
"Maybe you don't care but other people do jackass!" Noah yells and Chris glares at him and Noah meets his gaze with more intensity.
"I understand Dawn. If a deer was suffering, then making sure it wouldn't suffer more if it wouldn't survive is understandable." DJ assured Dawn, who was wiping away her tears.
"I… still am haunted by that day." Dawn shudders and Noah wants to do more for her but can't as Chris continues.
"Moving on! Back to me folks. Villains, who has vandalized their parent's car before?" Chris asks and everyone immediately looks at Duncan.
"Hey! I got put into juvie for a different reason than just vandalism." Duncan defends and Gwen nods.
"He's telling the truth." Gwen tries to help.
"I say he's lying, I say it was Duncan." Scott called out and Chris shook his head.
"Nope. Wrong answer. Have fun down there." Chris waved and their benches went flying down into the pit with their screams echoing up. In a minute, they all came up with dirt in their hair and a bite mark on Heather's ear.
"Ouch. Doesn't seem fun down there, does it? Might wanna own up to the truth next time." Chris admonishes and the villains glare at him.
"Heroes, here's a good one. Who has… Chef is this true? Did someone here actually hack into the Pentagon?" Chris calls out and many contestants are shocked by this.
"It was an accident!" Cody weakly says and Leshawna looks surprised.
"You hacked the Pentagon?!" Leshawna asks and Cody hangs his head.
"It was an accident… I didn't mean to." Cody defends and Harold pushes up his glasses.
"How do you accidentally hack into a foreign government?" Harold asks and Cody weakly shrugs.
Confessional:
"I sincerely did not mean to. I've already had to go to court about this and I thought it was all done and over with." Cody pouted.
Confessional 2:
"Another reason to like Cody." Sierra typed on her phone rapidly.
End Confessional:
Chris is seen getting off the phone with someone after the confessional ends and shrugs,
"Ok producers say we can't send you down the pit anymore. But as an additional punishment tonight for the losers, whoever loses has to clean the communal toilets." Chris added and Heather and Duncan both groaned in unison at that memory.
"I assure you, our team will be the utmost beings of honesty." Alejandro promised with a roll of his eyes as Noah seemed to be holding in a laugh.
"Sorry, but that's rich coming from you, eel." Noah snorts and Alejandro doesn't even bother responding.
"Villains, which of you has dated Izzy before?" Chris asks and all the boys flinch.
"No one's crazy enough to do that besides Owen." Duncan throws out there and Owen nods.
"Izzy is pretty cool though." Owen adds in and Harold just looks at Justin across the way.
Confessional:
"During our time as the Drama Brothers, Justin told me about his time as Izzy's boyfriend. I wonder why not just admit to it?" Harold pondered to himself
Confessional 2:
"Ok would you want to admit to people you don't get along with you dated the craziest person on this show?" Justin crossed his arms as he defended himself.
End Confessionals:
"Well seems no one wants to admit to it, so we'll be moving on to the heroes. Heroes, who has shoplifted before?" Chris asks and the team starts discussing.
"Well maybe it is Izzy this time." Cameron suggested and DJ shook her head.
"I've gone to the store with her before. She'll go crazy but she still does pay before we leave." DJ informs and Izzy nods.
"I am no thief." Izzy pretends to be offended.
"Owen have you stolen food?" Noah asks and Owen shakes his head.
"Chef, I'm a bit bored at this. Let's spice things up a bit. Since no hero said an answer to that last question, it's all tied up. So let's do this now. I'm going to bring up the gophers from the pit and you have to race back to camp before the other team with the gophers on your tail." Chris pressed a button and the platform at the bottom of the pit is heard rising and the benches are all moved onto solid ground.
"See now this will be more entertaining." Chris rubbed his hands together in glee as the campers all got out of their seats and started running as the gophers reached the top and started following the teams.
"You know I have to bring them back to Boney Island later?" Chef questioned and Chris shrugged.
"Just use the elephant tranqs." Chris shrugs off and Chef scowls as the camera goes to Harold struggling to keep up with his team.
"I… was not expecting… running today." Harold pants as Brick falls behind and picks him up on his shoulders.
"I got you." Brick says as he starts running with Harold on his back.
"DJ! If anyone starts falling behind, help them out." Brick ordered and DJ nodded as a mutant gopher tries to snap at DJ, but a rock is thrown at it. DJ sees that Izzy is now in the trees with a bunch of rocks.
"I'll keep my brethren at bay!" Izzy cackled as she jumped on the back of a gopher and tackled it to the ground.
Confessional:
"That girl is made of something else entirely." Leshawna commented with a slight smile.
End Confessional:
"Come on! The heroes are falling behind us." Alejandro states as they keep running and Lightning scoffs.
"Sha-like they could beat us. I'll take care of both the gophers and be there first." Lightning boasts as he stops in his tracks and runs at the gophers.
"What are you doing?!" Gwen shouts but Lightning ignores her as he goes to punch a gopher but it does nothing against them.
"Get the sha-idiot! The heroes have passed us." Eva demands and Sierra and Duncan go to pull Lightning free but the gopher doesn't relent.
"This thing is stronger than expected." Duncan states and Sierra nods as Eva walks up to them and growls at the gophers and they all run away, whimpering.
"Come on." Eva growls and Lightning scoffs.
"I had it sha-handled." Lightning claims and Eva rolls her eyes as she keeps running and catches up to Jo.
"If we lose, Lightning's gonezo." Jo states and Eva nods, also fed up with the male jock. Scott overhears this and smirks.
Confessional:
"What's throwing one challenge if it means one of the physical threats is gone?" Scott nonchalantly mentions to the confessional
End Confessional:
Scott is then shown tripping and falling right in front of Lightning, causing the jock to fall over him and barrel into Ezekiel, knocking him to the ground as well.
"Can you get off eh?" Ezekiel asks as Lightning gets up and looks for what happened as Scott passes by him again, not showing any remorse for what happened as Izzy jumps off his shoulders and flips over the finish line as the heroes make it to the end with no hiccups.
"And the heroes are the winners! Villains, sucks to suck I guess." Chris comes up with Chef on a fourwheeler and the villains turn around and see Lightning standing on Ezekiel's hand, not on purpose but Ezekiel was squealing in pain and Lightning didn't acknowledge him.
"Well, I suppose we have an easy choice." Justin mentions and the team nods as Lightning finally gets off of Ezekiel's hand and lets the boy up.
Confessional:
"Lightning made it so easy." Jo sighed with a smirk.
Confessional 2:
"There's sha-no way they beat us. The fat boy could never beat sha-Lightning." Lightning boasted as he kissed his biceps.
End Confessionals:
Courtney is seen sitting next to a tree when Ezekiel approaches her.
"What do you want f… from me?" Courtney bites her tongue, recalling what happened this morning.
"I just thought you looked a bit lonely. I know what it feels like." Ezekiel sympathized and Courtney studied him for a moment before letting her gaze drop.
"Guess we're both loners when everyone has someone, eh." Ezekiel mentions and Courtney sighs.
"Do you regret what you said from season one?" Courtney decides to ask and Ezekiel nods.
"I regret it every day of my life. I never should have insulted the females of the Killer Bass. I mean, just look at Eva. She could snap me in half and isn't weak, eh." Ezekiel motions to Eva as she is seen snapping a metal rod in half and Courtney nervously gulps at that.
"I… at least you had no one to disappoint when you turned feral. I turned everyone against me with how I've acted." Courtney looks downtrodden and Ezekiel shrugs.
"Then act better. That's what I'm trying to do. It's worked at least in me not getting last, eh." Ezekiel tugs at his toque and Courtney rolls her eyes.
"That's true homeschool. I've got to go do something. Talk to you later." Courtney says goodbye and Ezekiel looks confused for a second.
"I wonder what she's going to do." Ezekiel wondered as the camera cuts to Courtney coming out of the girls' cabin with something in her hands as she walks off without anyone noticing.
Confessional:
"I've got a lot to make up for, but this," Courtney holds up Sierra's phone, "Will at least let me make some amends."
End Confessional:
"I still wonder who on our team has been to juvie if not Izzy." Cameron wondered to Mike as they sat on the steps of the Spa Hotel.
"Hehe," Mike nervously laughs, "I have no idea. Could be anybody I guess."
"Yeah. It's not our place to dig into people's lives." Cameron nods as the camera transitions to Harold hiding under the stairs with a suspicious look.
Confessional:
"Mike's laugh there indicates to me that it was likely him that went to juvie. Perhaps he was the one to rig the votes due to that track record. But for what purpose?" Harold pondered as the door of the confessional was opened and Duncan is seen poking his head in.
"Damn it, my prank didn't go off." Duncan said in disappointment as suddenly Izzy jumped through the ceiling and dumped peanut butter on both of them.
"Izzy is the prank queen!" Izzy cackled madly before leaping out of the confessional.
"Truce until we get her back?" Harold offered his hand and Duncan shook it.
End Confessional:
The camera then cuts to the villains sitting around the campfire ceremony with the heroes in the Peanut Gallery.
"Who do you think will leave?" Owen whispered to ask Mike who just watches Jo give an evil glare to Lightning.
"I'd hope Scott, but that isn't likely here." Mike said, still holding a grudge against the orange haired boy for last season.
"Before we get started, any exile volunteers?" Chris asked as he arrived with a plate of marshmallows.
"I'll do it." Leshawna volunteered before anyone else could and proceeded to follow Chef down to the docks to head to Boney Island as Chef is seen sweating.
"What happened to you?" Leshawna asked as she got on the boat.
"Mutant Gopher wrangling." Chef answered simply as he got on the boat as well and began their voyage to Boney Island.
"Now then, as per usual, if I call your name you will be safe. Gwen, Duncan, Courtney, Alejandro, Heather, Scott, Sierra and Eva. You're all safe." Chris distributed the marshmallows and Ezekiel, Jo and Lightning were the ones left to watch the two left.
"Jo, you're here just because Lightning dislikes you. Aka, you got just his vote so you're safe." Chris announced and tossed the second to last marshmallow to Jo, who crushed it in her teeth.
"Ezekiel you're here because well… you're Ezekiel," Chris stated to Ezekiel's protests, "and because you were partly the reason you lost. Lightning you're here because you failed to fight the gophers, fell onto Ezekiel and just stood on his hand. Also Jo's pushy campaign to vote you off." Chris finished and Lightning's eyes widened.
"Jo's sha-what?!" Lightning exclaimed as the marshmallow was thrown to Ezekiel, leaving Lightning without one.
"Just sha-shut up!" Gwen threw her marshmallow at Lightning's face, much to Jo's amusement.
"The amount of idiocy you have is quite baffling." Alejandro commented as Lightning glared at all of them.
"You just lost your sha-best player!" Lightning claimed as he was walked down to the Flush of Shame, with only Jo and Scott following behind.
"Ah sweet victory." Jo smirked and Scott laughed.
"Finally got eliminated. This is what you deserve." Scott high fived Jo as Lightning was just there in the toilet.
"You're both big sha-...!" Lightning would have finished if Chris hadn't decided to flush the toilet at that moment, thankfully for Jo and Scott, without any backsplash.
"Family show people, family show." Chris jokingly admonished to which Jo and Scott rolled their eyes.
"If this was a family show, then why have us on this island with mutants?" Jo pointed out and Chris shrugged.
"Eh, whatever. Anyways, with Lightning gone, will the villains fare better in the future? Do you think they should've just gotten rid of Courtney for her bitchy attitude? Eh, who knows. But you will soon enough, next time on Total Drama All Stars!" Chris wrapped up the episode as Scott and Jo gave a middle finger to the camera behind him.
Confessional:
"At least with Lightning gone, he won't try to get revenge on me for last season." Cameron sighed in relief.
End Confessional:
Later that night, Noah is seen walking out into the woods with his hands in his pockets.
"Dumb Izzy, hiding my book somewhere." Noah grumbled to himself as he walked into a meadow where he saw Dawn peacefully sleeping amongst the flowers.
"Why is she out here and not in the Spa Hotel?" Noah decided to approach silently when Dawn started murmuring in her sleep.
"No please… don't hurt him… please…" Dawn said in slight fear and Noah realized she was having a nightmare.
"Please don't hurt Noah." Dawn muttered out and Noah seemed slightly shocked by this, but shook his head and decided to shake her on the shoulder to wake her up.
"Huh? What?" Dawn mumbled as she opened her eyes and saw Noah there, the moon illuminating him.
"Oh hello. What are you doing out here?" Dawn asked and Noah gave her a questioning look.
"I could ask you the same thing. I found you out here having a nightmare." Noah explained and Dawn looked away from his eyes.
"I have nightmares like that… quite often." Dawn admitted and Noah sighed as he sat down next to her.
"Do you want to talk about it? I heard you mention my name when you were sleep talking." Noah asks and Dawn doesn't meet his eyes.
"Not right now… but I could talk about other things if you wanted to." Dawn looked at Noah with wide and pleading eyes and Noah relented.
"Yeah, let's talk." Noah said and Dawn smiled at him as they both began talking into the night, their words fading away as the camera panned away from them and cutting the camera to black as it transitioned to show Courtney looking up at the bright moon as she sat beneath a tree.
"I… hope Bridgette accepts my apology." Courtney holds the phone she took and stares at it sadly and sighs.
"Why should she? It's not like anyone on this show cares anymore." Courtney hugged her knees as she started silently crying to herself and suddenly she heard footsteps and looked up and saw DJ sit down next to her.
"Heya. I saw you out here and thought you'd like some company." DJ said and Courtney looked away.
"Go away, You're not even my teammate." Courtney refused to meet his eyes and DJ shook his head.
"Maybe, but my mama taught me to treat others kindly. Besides, once a Killer Bass, always a Killer Bass." DJ smiled and Courtney sighed.
"Not like it would matter anyways. I'm sure you also hate me." Courtney tried to stand up but DJ spoke up before she could walk away.
"Maybe I did once. But I can tell you're getting better. I'm sure if you just talked about your feelings, you'd feel better." DJ stated and Courtney scoffed.
"As if I'd talk to you or anybody about how I feel." Courtney proceeded to walk away and DJ sighed in defeat.
"I do hope she finds someone to talk to." DJ watched as she entered the losers' cabinn and he shook his head.
"I won't give up though. I'm not the coward I was on the plane. I need to be brave and not get out of helping my friends. Which means… I need to get things patched up between Courtney, Duncan and Gwen." DJ decided as he adjusted the cap on his head.
"Gosh! Good luck with that one. Those three are as rooted in their relationship as a tree." Harold mentioned as he fell from the tree above.
"First off, don't eavesdrop," DJ admonished and Harold looked sheepish, "Second, you heard Courtney. You should just drop your grudges against her from being a Bass. After all, you did eliminate her."
"You act like season one is all she's done wrong. DJ, look beyond the Killer Bass. She's sued her way back into the show, tried throwing challenges on the plane and even supported Alejandro." Harold explained and DJ met his gaze.
"Everyone deserves a second chance," DJ said as they both spotted Alejandro entering the losers cabin in the distance, "Ok most people."
"If you need help, I won't turn you down. I do have some mad skillz for talking deep stuff." Harold offered and DJ nodded.
"Thanks dude. Let's head back inside though. Seems like it'll rain." DJ pointed out and Harold nodded as they both headed inside as the rain started to come down.
"Hey, have you two seen Dawn or Noah?" Owen asked them as they came inside and they shook their heads and Owen looked outside as Izzy jumped on his shoulders.
"Time to retrieve the lovebirds!" Izzy shouted as Owen ran out in the rain with her on his back.
"Should I ask why Owen just ran out in the rain with Izzy on his back?" Cody came in and DJ and Harold shook their heads and Cody shrugged.
"Come on troops, it is time to get some good rest." Brick came down the stairs, already in his pajamas.
"It is midnight. Cody where were you at?" Harold asked as he took off his shoes and Cody looked sheepish.
"I went to the communal bathrooms but forgot there was some here in the Spa Hotel before I finished." Cody admitted and DJ shrugged.
"Don't blame you. This seems too good to be true sometimes." DJ stated and all the boys nodded as they made their way into the boy's bedroom to see Cameron asleep but Mike was just standing at the window.
"I thought you were asleep." Brick touches Mike's shoulder, but he just doesn't respond and Brick shakes his head.
"I can't force you to sleep soldier. Good night everybody." Brick said as he got in bed followed by the other guys and Mike turned around when they were all asleep.
"Should I tell them… would they even believe me?" Mike whispered to himself as he walked out of the room, unheard by anybody.
As Mike walks downstairs, he sees Owen carrying in a drenched Noah and Dawn, who seem to be shivering.
"What happened?" Mike asked in worry.
"They fell asleep in the rain… while cuddling." Owen winks and Noah sighs in defeat as Dawn gives a shivering smile.
"To bed with them!" Izzy cackles as she is still on Owen's back, now drenched in water herself, as Owen carries them all upstairs to their bedrooms and Mike raises an eyebrow but walks into the dining room and just sits at the end of the table and picks at a plate of food left there earlier.
Mike just sat in silence as the night went on and the episode ended with him just in the dark of the dining room.
AN: So let me explain some of this chapter as it might seem all over the place. The challenge based on Truth or Laser Shark is probably going to be the shortest challenge here because of Chris being Chris and getting bored of asking questions due to his mental state. So he just decides to let loose mutants instead of watching the teams discuss truths. The purpose of this instead of using the pit at the end is to show that Chris is not in complete control and still has to answer to the producers. I hope that clears up a bit of confusion there.
Anyways, Lightning is gone. He was pretty much fodder and not much else. He has already made it to a finale, so I thought I didn't need to do much with him. Besides, there's other storylines I want to do and Lightning fits into nothing. So I just used his screwup and conflict with Jo to cause his elimination. I just find Jo more interesting than him in terms of potential here and so it was between him and her and I kept Jo. If you think my setup for Lightning seemed a bit forced, it honestly wasn't as some eliminations in canon happen due to lesser stuff than Lightning (cough cough Justin on Island cough cough).
Besides, you'll see more of Lightning soon as next episode is this season's first Aftermath episode. I hope you look forward to that. I don't want to say more than that, so I hope you all have a good day.
