AN: Welcome to the first Aftermath of the season. I hope you all enjoy this one.
Chapter Five: Aftermath I-Off The Rails
As the show begins, some clips are shown of the eliminated contestants of the season, first showing Eva throwing Anne Maria off the cliff, followed by Lindsay thinking she's flying when coming off the plane, then Zoey is seen getting spooked by Izzy in the confessional, followed by Lightning's failed attempt to fight the Gophers and then finishes with showing him getting flushed away. The camera then fades from the clips and goes back to the Aftermath studio with Geoff and Bridgette sitting in their respective spots as usual and the noncompeting and not recently eliminated contestants sit in an expanded original Peanut Gallery.
"What's up dudes?! We are back for even more of the Aftermath show. I am pumped to be back dudes." Geoff cheerfully introduced and Bridgette rolled her eyes but smiled at Geoff's eagerness.
"It has been quite some time. It's been since Hawaii." Bridgette recalled and Geoff nodded.
"Either way, we are back and more pumped than ever for this aftermath. Right guys?" Geoff cheered and there was no response from the other contestants.
"Tough crowd." Geoff shrugged and Beth decided to speak up.
"It's not that we don't want to cheer for you Geoff, I just don't want to cheer for anything Chris related." Beth mentioned and Katie and Sadie nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, why should we care anymore for what he does?" Katie asked and Bridgette nodded in agreement.
"No arguments here. But we might as well make the most of it, and at least we're here and not with Chris." Bridgette brought up and this brought cheers.
"Let me introduce everybody here before we get started. From my island brethren, we have Beth, Katie, Sadie, Trent, and Tyler. Dang, I just realized how many of our friends are back on the island again." Geoff introduced and each person waved at the camera, and Tyler almost fell out of his seat but was grabbed by Trent.
"Our friends… and Heather and Alejandro." Bridgette added and Trent snorted and gave a small chuckle.
"Ain't that the truth." Tyler agreed and Katie and Sadie shrugged, not having interacted much with the others because they had each other.
"And as for the new people, we have Sam, B, Staci and Dakota, who is no longer a mutant by the way." Bridgette introduced and they all wave and Sam is sitting on Dakota's lap, who is a bit taller and has green highlights in her hair now and she waved nervously at the camera.
"Our guest stars of the episode, as per usual, are the eliminated contestants. So we'll have Anne Maria, Lindsay, Zoey and Lightning joining us today. But first, we're going to have some fan video callers. First off is… do we have to answer this one?" Geoff looked at the note he had and groaned.
"Why would she be calling anyways?" Bridgette wondered as she saw the note as the screen above them was turned on and Blaineley is seen, still with a cast on one of her arms, but looking otherwise better than before, and Bridgette scowls.
"Why are you even calling in? Just to torment us more?" Geoff tried to find the remote to the screen but couldn't seem to find it.
"It's not like I wanted this either. I'd love to just have you all out of my life. However, my contract for Total Drama forces me to appear at least once this season so be grateful it's right now and not later as I have my own shows to take care of." Blaineley scoffs and Geoff shrugs.
"Ok. Bye then." Geoff then turned off the screen before Blaineley could respond.
"I am so glad she didn't come back for the Aftermaths this time." Bridgette sighed in relief and Geoff nodded.
"Who was that?" Sam raised his hand and asked.
"Mildred." Geoff stated with a laugh and Bridgette rolled her eyes and smirked.
"That was someone we are glad is not here. Moving on, I guess we'll have our first guest come out." Bridgette announced and Geoff nodded.
"Our first guest has used a lot of hair spray, got thrown off a cliff, and gave up the show her first time around for a fake diamond," Clips are played of the events said above as Geoff says it, "Please welcome Anne Maria."
Anne Maria then walks out, looking bored as she is seen spraying her hair excessively, making the non contestants cover their noses and cough as she walks by.
Bridgette coughs before she continues to speak as Anne Maria sits down on the guest side, "Thanks for joining, cough, us."
"Whatever. Let's just get this stuff over with." Anne Maria seems uninterested and Bridgette looks at Geoff, who now has his phone out and then quickly puts it away.
"The producers want to bring back a Truth or punishment thing." Geoff whispered to Bridgette.
"What?! Tell them no." Bridgette whisper yelled back and Geoff shook his head.
"No can do. They told me we had no say in this." Geoff informed Bridgette and she threw her head back in frustration.
"Well folks, I guess we are bringing back a fan favorite segment. Truth or Sludge." Geoff announced and above Anne Maria is seen a giant bucket with bubbling green goop.
"At least it isn't inherently deadly." Bridgette tried to look on the bright side.
"Wait, so if I lie I get gunk dumped on me?" Anne Maria asked and Geoff nodded.
"That's kinda how it goes around here dudette." Geoff said and Anne Maria scoffed as she stood up.
"Well I'm not risking my hair. Goodbye." Anne Maria tried to walk off stage but was stopped by a security guard, who carried her back to the bleachers and strapped her down.
"This has already gone so far off the rails." Bridgette pinched her nose in frustration.
"Don't worry Bridge, I'm sure it'll go better after this. It can't go much further off the rails I'm sure." Geoff pat Bridgette's shoulder as he stood up as Anne Maria grumbled about being stuck in the seat.
"So Anne Maria, why did you decide to come back for another season?" Geoff started the questions off with.
"For that hunk of junk Vito of course." Anne Maria smiled dreamily.
"You do know that Vito is an alter of Mike's?" Bridgette asked and Anne Maria shrugged.
"Ain't matter to me hun. If only that damned redhead wasn't around then maybe Vito would be around more." Anne Maria huffed and Geoff looked up and noticed no movement from the sludge that would be dropped for a lie.
"At least Zoey likes Mike for who he is and not someone else." Dakota jumped into the conversation and Anne Maria scowled.
"What do you know? You're the one dating gamer boy. You wouldn't know good taste if it smacked you upside the head." Anne Maria insulted and Dakota shot up, not before Sam stood up and backed up as Dakota walked over to Anne Maria and slapped her.
"Next time you insult my boyfriend, you'll get worse than a slap to the face." Dakota warned and Bridgette looked anxious at the tension so Geoff decided to speak up.
"Ok thanks for joining us Anne Maria. You're done and can go sit down." Geoff rushed to get her unstrapped before she could retort to Dakota and Geoff wanted to prevent a fight.
"Whatever. At least my hair isn't bad now." Anne Maria walked off, as Dakota also sat back down and glared at the girl.
"Let's introduce our next guest, why don't we? Our next guest has been manipulated by Heather and Alejandro, accidentally voted herself off, and has cussed out Heather. Please welcome Lindsay!" Bridgette announced as clips of Heather and Alejandro talking to Lindsay, followed by Lindsay's accidental elimination in Action, and her cussing out of Heather in the bike challenge of season one are all played.
"This is the stage right?" Lindsay pops her head out of backstage.
"Yes. Come sit down." Bridgette smiled at the blonde who looked excitedly as she spotted Tyler.
"Tyler!" Lindsay excitedly ran over to her boyfriend and they started making out.
"Further off the rails you say?" Trent snarks from the bleachers and Geoff sighs.
"Well I suppose she has already been a guest before so I guess it's fine." Geoff shrugs and Bridgette nods.
"Well then, I suppose we'll go to another segment of the show. You know you love it, it's time for… That's Gonna Leave A Mark."
The first clip shows Scott coming out of the confessional and is surprised by Izzy, who jumps from off of the top of the confessional wearing a shark mask, making Scott freak out and run into a tree.
The second clip shows Eva, Alejandro, Justin and Jo working out in the Spa Hotel's gym and as Eva gets up, she tosses a dumbbell to the side and knocks the other three all to the ground at the same time.
The next clip has Harold pulling out a katana from a sheath and as he pulls it out, mayonnaise flies out of the sheath, hitting Harold in the face as he falls backward and the sword bounces off of his head and the blade lands between his legs, thankfully not cutting him. Duncan is seen laughing from the sideline as Leshawna goes to help Harold
The final clip features finds Chef at night in the woods with a paintball gun as he is suddenly completely covered in paint by a cackling Izzy who is seen carrying a paintball minigun and she leaps off into the night.
"I now see why Cameron is afraid of Izzy." Trent comments as the clips ended.
"That made me a bit scared of Izzy." Beth admits and Katie and Sadie nod.
"Try being captured by her in a spider costume. That's like 20 levels scarier." Sam chuckles to himself.
The camera then transitions back to show Geoff and Bridgette on the couch, both on separate phone calls.
"What do you mean they can't find Zoey?!" Bridgette harshly whispers to the person on the phone.
"Dude then look in like, New York or something I don't know. Just make sure she's safe." Geoff also was on the phone, for the same reason as Bridgette. He then hangs up and straightens his hat.
"I've gotta go for a bit. Trent, B I need your help." Geoff called out and Trent nodded and B shrugged as he got up and the three boys all left the stage as Bridgette sighed as she was left alone to host.
"Sorry about that everybody. We are currently dealing with some… difficulties with finding where the Flush of Shame flushed Zoey off to. We were told she was here but apparently not. Hopefully Geoff and the guys find her." Bridgette stated, looking worriedly off stage.
The camera then cuts to Geoff, B and Trent in the sewers as Trent plugs his nose.
"Remind me why we're here again." Trent asked as they walked onwards.
"Apparently the producers have tracked Zoey down to here but whenever they sent people in to find her, they came out of the sewers without her and no reason why. So I said we'd go after her." Geoff explained and B facepalmed at this as Trent stopped in his tracks.
"Uh guys?" Trent looks terrified as he points in front of them and Geoff raises his flashlight and illuminated in the dark is Sasquatchanakwa is seen on the back of a giant alligator.
"I thought he was on Boney Island!?" Geoff yelled as they started getting chased by the odd pairing, with Sasquatchanakwa laughing madly.
Back at the Aftermath studio, Bridgette is seen back on her phone again to the side as Sam and Dakota sit in her place.
"Uh hey. While Bridgette figures out Zoey's situation, me and Dakota volunteered to take over the show for now until things are figured out." Sam awkwardly introduced.
"How did Zoey even disappear when she got eliminated before Lighting… who is apparently backstage, trying to search for a gym back there." Dakota rubbed her hand over her face in exasperation.
"Isn't she wearing makeup?" Katie whispered to Sadie who shrugged.
"Maybe she isn't wearing any." Sadie provided and Katie nodded.
"What's going on?" Lindsay looked around confused and saw Geoff gone and seemed confused as Tyler shook his head to regain his senses from the kissing Lindsay just gave.
"Anyways, we should be having another video caller soon. Sam, how do I put it up on the screen?" Dakota asked her boyfriend, who grabbed the remote and managed to get the video working on the screen above them and Chris is seen on the screen above and all the contestants groan in annoyance.
"Hey yeah, Aftermath people, I'm watching this right now and the producers will have my head if you don't all get things back in order. Also hello viewing audience." Chris winked at the camera.
"Blaineley and then Chris. How is our luck so bad?" Tyler asked Beth who shrugged.
"Hello? Why aren't you talking?" Lindsay tapped on Staci's shoulder, ignoring Chris completely, and Staci shrugs.
"I've been told that if I have nothing to say the truth about, then I shouldn't talk. So I haven't talked." Staci says as Lindsay claps.
"You know what is the truth? You can come with me to the mall." Lindsay grabbed Staci's hand and led her out of the studio, much to the onscreen Chris's annoyance.
"Things better be in order for the tenth Aftermath special." Chris stated as Chef comes onto screen.
"Turn off the screen pretty boy. We have to prepare this next dang challenge." Chef states and Chris waves him off.
"In a minute." Chris tries to continue the call as Chef punches the screen and it turns off, startling the non contestants.
"That's one way we don't have to see Chris." Beth tried to lightly joke and Tyler chuckled slightly as Bridgette came back on stage and the camera focused on her.
"Ok thank you for that, Chris," Bridgette held back bile in her voice, "Don't worry everyone. I just got word from Geoff that they should be back soon… I am worried though cause I think I heard Sasquatchanakwa."
"We're back!" Geoff, Trent and B walked back on stage, covered in sewer water and looking exhausted as Trent and Geoff fell on the floor with B still standing up.
"Did you find Zoey?" Bridgette worriedly approaches them as she helps Geoff up to his feet and Zoey is seen getting off of B's back and she looks ragged.
"Zoey! Are you okay?" Dakota worriedly helps her friend catch herself.
"I'm," Zoey coughs a bit as she pulls some sewage out of her hair, "Fine. Sasquatchanakwa actually helped me get free from a sewer pipe I was stuck in the last few days."
"We thought he was chasing us to attack but after a chase through the sewers, and may I add I never want to do that again, he gave us Zoey and let us ride the alligator back here."
"The cameraman did run off before that so we don't have footage of us a bit after we got into the sewers." Trent informed and Bridgette nodded, understanding they'd have little footage of that.
"Dudes you have to admit that was kinda cool." Geoff tried to lighten the mood and B just shook his head as Trent groaned in pain.
"One two three four five six seven eight nine. Ok I'm calm now. But no, that was not cool. It was terrifying." Trent breathed and calmed himself through counting.
"At least you're all safe." Bridgette sighed in relief as Sam helped Geoff onto the couch, where he slouched back.
"Let's all just take five. Or ten… maybe thirty minutes to recuperate." Bridgette suggested and Geoff nodded.
"Yep. We'll be back in a short while folks." Geoff announced as B stretched a bit.
"You two are getting more exercise in case something like this happens again." Bridgette told Trent and Geoff as they looked more exhausted than B.
"Can we get out of this somehow?" Trent whispered to Geoff.
"No can do dude. When Bridge says something like that, she means it." Geoff whispered back and Trent groaned.
"I thought Trent was one of the more in shape guys?" Beth wondered aloud and Tyler was the one to speak up.
"I've offered to exercise with him before, but he said he just wanted to focus on his music." Tyler explained a bit.
"Ohhh." Beth said in realization.
"Where did Lindsay go?" Trent asked as he sat back in his seat.
"Took Staci shopping so they could be friends." Tyler explained as B looked to sigh in relief at Staci being gone.
"At least she has taken her skill points out of the lying skill tree." Sam mentioned and B nodded as he sat back down too.
"Ok we need to get back to airing soon and we need everyone here. Sam, can you and Dakota go get Lindsay? If need be, tell her we have makeup here for her." Bridgette asked and Sam gave a thumbs up as Dakota picked up Sam and ran out of the room with him.
"Ok, let's look at what any other video calls we could do later." Bridgette decided and pulled out some small notecards to look at.
"GwuncanHater29… nope." Bridgette tossed aside as Geoff looked at the next one.
"AleHeatherLover69… why are so many of these by shippers?" Geoff wondered aloud.
"Ok this one looks kind of reasonable as it's just TDIFan87." Bridgette observed and Geoff looked at the name closely.
"I remember that dude from online forums. I say no because they've issued out threats to DJ before." Geoff shook his head and Bridgette hung her head.
"I suppose no more video calls for today then. Also, TDIFan87 needs to get a life besides threatening my friends." Bridgette grumbled and Geoff gave a sigh before getting a small smile to try to lighten things up.
"We should really plan things out a bit better." Geoff joked and Bridgette rolled her eyes.
"We're a bit out of practice." Bridgette chuckled a bit and looked over to the side of the stage and saw an intern holding up five fingers.
"We have five minutes before we have to start." Bridgette told Geoff and he nodded.
"I'm going to run to the bathroom real quick. Be back in a minute babe." Geoff pecked Bridgette on the cheek as he ran off quickly.
Bridgette then looked over everything as she mentally prepared for continuing on with the show.
"Should I just keep sitting here or do I go backstage with Lightning?" Zoey spoke up to ask and Bridgette looked thoughtful for a second as Lightning ran out on stage.
"I'm sha-done waiting! I thought I was supposed to be out here sha-now to get a post game interview." Lightning said impatiently and Bridgette looked frustrated as another thing going wrong.
"Just… we'll do both you and Zoey at once I guess. Just sit down next to her." Bridgette answered and Lightning kissed his biceps as he sat down next to Zoey, who looked annoyed at the football player.
"And we're on in five, four, three," Bridgette started counting down as Sam and Dakota came in, followed by Lindsay and Staci, who sat down with shopping bags.
"Two, one," Geoff ran back in and quickly sat back down by Bridgette on the center couch, "And we're back. Thank you for being patient with us. Now we are back with our final two guests."
"These two have fought a plant monster, one has confused Jo for a guy many times and the other has started dating Mike, it's Lightning and Zoey." Bridgette introduced as clips of Larry chasing the final three of season four, Lightning getting punched by Jo, and Zoey kissing Mike are played and the audience clapped as Lightning once again kissed his biceps.
"So you dudes both made it to the final three last season. Surviving an island with radiation and mutants must have been tough." Geoff commented and Lightning scoffed.
"The only thing tough there was me and my strength." Lightning boasted and Zoey smacked him.
"I still think that Chris was more dangerous than the mutants." Zoey admitted and Geoff looked up and noticed no movement from the sludge and Geoff whistled.
"Chris… hasn't really gotten better over the years." Bridgette cautiously said and Geoff snorted.
"He's gone off the deep end Bridge." Geoff bluntly said and Bridgette nodded her agreement.
"At least one constant has been Chef." Bridgette added and Lightning scoffed.
"I could beat sha-Chef easily." Lightning claimed and everyone else laughed, except B but he looked very amused.
"Dude, the only people who could beat Chef are Izzy and Eva. We even have a clip of Chef scaring off Fang. Let's show that now actually." Geoff informed as the screen turned on to show the clip.
In the clip, Chef is seen on the Boat of Losers and Fang jumps on board and bares his fangs at Chef and Chef just leaves the wheel and growls at the mutant shark, which makes the shark jump back into the water and head back to Boney Island to end the clip.
"Wow, dude scared a shark with no words. Awesome." Sam chuckled at the scene and Lightning shrugged.
"Actually, Zoey did put up an impressive feat in fighting Chef in season four." Bridgette brought up and Zoey looked sheepish at this.
"Yeah… I kinda went crazy there." Zoey scratched the back of her neck as this was brought up.
"Sha-whatever. You weren't that impressive." Lightning scoffed and suddenly the sludge from above was splattered all over Lightning and before it hit Zoey, she backflipped out of her seat.
"Say again?" Geoff taunted and Lightning crossed his arms.
"Why'd that sha-drop on me?" Lightning questioned and Bridgette spoke up.
"That was supposed to be dropped whenever you told a lie. So, you do think Zoey was impressive." Bridgette raised an eyebrow and Lighting scoffed.
"Sha-yeah right." Lightning refused to acknowledge and more sludge got dropped onto him.
"As fun as this is, why don't we ask Zoey a couple questions?" Bridgette suggested and Geoff nodded.
"Lightning," Geoff snapped his fingers at the jock, "Go wash up dude."
Lightning took this as his opportunity to leave and went off stage with his head held high. Still refusing to acknowledge Zoey of course. Zoey then got down from the top seats of the guest bleachers and stood on the ground.
"Uh so should I just stand or…?" Zoey asked awkwardly and Geoff shrugged.
"Standing's good dudette." Geoff confirmed and Zoey let out a sigh of relief.
"Ok. Cause I didn't need to need a shower more than right now." Zoey sniffed and flinched at the scent of the sewage on her.
"You and me both sister." Geoff nodded and Bridgette grabbed a notecard from the table.
"So how do you feel that you made it so far last season but got eliminated third this season?" Bridgette asked and Zoey let her shoulders relax.
"Oh thank god, I thought the questions would start more brutal," Zoey sighed in relief, "To be honest, I'm fine with it. Cam did give some of his winnings to me after last season so I'm not too upset about losing. Perhaps it's karma that I got third last season and got eliminated third this season."
"If only karma would strike Chris." Geoff mumbled out and Bridgette pat him on the back.
"What do you plan to spend the earnings you got from Cameron on?" Bridgette asked curiously.
"Oh! I actually have put quite a bit into saving but I am also going to spend something special for Mike for his birthday in a few weeks." Zoey explained and Beth squealed at this.
"That's so nice of you." Beth chimed in and the two BFFFL's squealed their agreement.
"Uh, thanks." Zoey awkwardly responded.
"Hey Zoey, do you know what's up with…" Sam was about to ask but Dakota put a hand over his mouth.
"Don't tell her." Dakota harshly whispered to her boyfriend.
"Know about what?" Zoey asked and Sam whistled nonchalantly and Dakota shook her head.
"Huh? Like know that Mitch has a fifth personality?" Lindsay said and Dakota facepalmed as Zoey looked confused.
"You mean Mike? He has another personality?" Zoey looked befuddled at this information.
"Yeah… we didn't want you to know so you wouldn't be upset with him." Dakota sighed and Zoey shrugged.
"It's a part of Mike, I won't be upset by it. If he didn't want to tell me, I'm sure he had his reasons." Zoey said calmly and Geoff shook his head.
"Dudette, apparently this personality has both Duncan and Dawn scared of him. I don't think it's good news." Geoff added and the screen above started playing a clip from an episode, to show Duncan and Dawn discuss Mike's fifth personality.
"Then what should I do?" Why shouldn't I just hurt the bastard for what he's done to me and others in juvie?" Duncan asked with a glare in his eyes and Dawn met this glare with her own.
"You mentally prepare. Your aura tells me you're in a turbulent state and if he takes advantage of that, he will ruin your life." Dawn warns and Duncan decides to listen and relent.
"Fine. But if he hurts any of my friends or Gwen, I'm going after him and then you." Duncan warned her before he walked off, forgetting his knife, and Dawn picked it up and stared at it, looking at her reflection in it.
Confessional:
"Do I… have I… what do I do?" Dawn sighed and for once seemed to not know what to do in her life as she twirled the knife in her hand.
End Confessional:
"Wait, Mike was in juvie?!" Zoey looked shocked by that and Bridgette nodded.
"For reasons the producers won't allow us to know." Bridgette stated and Zoey sighed sadly.
"All I can do is hope Mike is able to figure this out, hopefully with Cam's help." Zoey smiled sadly and Geoff gave a small clap.
"I'm sure he'll get through it fine dudette." Geoff assured and Zoey calmly nodded as the camera focused back to Bridgette and Geoff.
"Well that's all the time we have for today. Sorry if we were a bit unorganized and off the rails. Hopefully we are more organized next time." Bridgette apologetically said to the camera.
"Thanks for joining us dude, dudettes and every other gender variation of dude. We'll see you next time for Total Drama Aftermath." Geoff concluded as he and Bridgette waved at the camera as Sasquatchanakwa came on stage with the alligator and scared everyone off as Sasquatchanakwa held up the cameraman that followed the guys into the sewers, with Sasquatchanakwa coming to return him. Sasquatchanakwa shrugged and dropped the scared cameraman before he and his alligator rode back out of the show.
Later that night, Bridgette and Geoff are in a hotel room together and Bridgette is seen staring at her phone as Geoff gets out of the shower connected to their room.
"Geoff, what should I do? I know Courtney sent me a message… but I'm nervous to look at it." Bridgette admitted as she looked downtrodden and Geoff sat down next to her with his hat off.
"Bridge, give her a chance. Just listen to what she has to say at least. If you want me to be here with you to help your nerves, I will." Geoff reassured her but Bridgette still looked upset.
"I don't know if I'm ready to accept her apology… not without her actions speaking more. She's hurt people on the show, and even sided with Alejandro who hurt me…" Bridgette said sadly and Geoff nodded in understanding.
"Then let's just see what she does by the next Aftermath. But Bridge… if she's already trying to apologize, then she's already improving." Geoff put a hand on her shoulder.
"I know… I know I want to accept her apology… I just don't know if I'm ready to." Bridgette put a hand on Geoff's hand and Geoff stroked her hair.
"Do things at your pace Bridge. I'll be here for you." Geoff promised and Bridgette kissed his hand.
"That's why I love you babe." Bridgette smiled brightly and Geoff raised an eyebrow.
"You sure it wasn't just the hat?" Geoff teased and Bridgette punched him lightly in the shoulder as she laughed a little bit, a bit of her previous anxieties gone for the moment because at the current moment, she would just focus on the person with her that has stood with her through everything. All she could do for Courtney right now was hope she would improve soon, and become a hero on the villain's team.
AN: So this is probably the shortest chapter so far, but I feel fine with that as I accomplished what I wanted to with this chapter, aka the Aftermath itself, Zoey's belief in Mike, Bridgette's internal conflict and Courtney's impact on her, and as per usual some hijinks with the cast. I had Sasquatchanakwa come into this just for some fun antics. As to how he went from Boney Island to near the Aftermath studios, he rides his alligator friend to and from the mainland and the set of Total Drama. A sasquatch does need to get out and about now and again and away from Chris lol. Anyways, I would explain more stuff... but no spoilers allowed here mwahaha. Have a good day everybody.
