The giant dome in Cali-Tokyo was shining brightly in the heat of the day, with Chris and Dana standing outside of it near some incredibly large looking cages. Chris tugged on the bars to one, but was clearly unable to open it while Dana simply shook her head in disappointment.

"Last time on Total Drama Mega Mechas: the brand new contestants, also known as the pilots, arrived here in Cali-Tokyo, a crazy manmade island off the coast of California. The wacky contestants immediately started to cause drama when they arrived, looking at you two Margaret and Brittany. We split them up into teams, the Beta Bots and the Delta Droids, for them to compete in their first ever challenge, a contest to see which team could retrieve a giant ring from the top of the tallest building and put it around the peak of the mountain first. Though still new to the whole mech thing, the pilots got used to them pretty quickly and started going at each other instead of going for the ring. All except for Theodore and Buck. Unfortunately for the media star, he knocked out from a lack of energy and left the ring for Buck, who snagged a quick win for his team and winning the way better bunkrooms for his team. Theodore was the first to go home, failing his team in the challenge, though it was close between him and Brittany McMeany Pants. Who will be the next to make a fast exit from the show? Find out tonight on Total Drama Mega Mechas!"

The camera flew through the sky, going all the way down to the ground and into the dome, right in the center of a field inside.

"Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine," was heard as Buck was seen strumming a tune on his banjo happily while Daniel danced to the country tune wildly.

"You guys are on my mind," the camera swung past the two to show Caleb rolling his eyes while sitting at a table in the cafeteria. Larida was smiling cheerfully and patting the young looking gent on the head.

"You asked me what I wanted to be and I think the answer's plain to see," at a nearby table, Mitch was reading a book that he wrote to the ever-shy Celeste, who was happily listening to him.

"I wanna be famous!" Margaret ran past the two, startling them as a pair of security robots were chasing her.

"I wanna live close to the sun," suddenly, Margaret ran into Valerie and fell over, rubbing her head as the shy girl erupted in anger and the two started screaming at each other, scaring away the robots.

"So pack your bags, cause I've already won," the camera swung over to the outside of the dome, where Calvin was at the entrance, searching for clues of some sort, before waving to the camera with a bright smile and going stone-faced, realizing that he should be focusing on his task at hand.

"Everything to prove, nothing in my way, I'll get there one day," Yves was close by to the secret agent, watching him closely while keeping to herself and blasting an unsuspecting Garett with a water gun, as he was attempting to blast Calvin.

"I wanna be famous!" Blaster ran past the two, pretending to be a cyborg and blast some robots with her arm, only to knock over Brittany, who looked at the airhead angrily.

"Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na," the camera swung up to the sky, showing each and everyone's mechs being shot out of the top of the dome, with each person in them.

"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous! I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!" the light had faded from the sky and the camera showed the fourteen contestants in a jet takeoff room, seated in a circle while Chris and Dana stood in the center, each with mischievous looks on their faces.

It was an early morning and the contestants were still sound asleep. While the Droids were stuck sleeping in raggedy looking bunk rooms with barely a light in them or a desk, the Bots enjoyed maximum comfort in their suite level bunkrooms. In the girls' room, the first to wake was Celeste, in a lovely, white night gown held together by a blue ribbon around her waist, yawning quietly before jumping off her bed, which was the top bunk above Larida, and heading out into the hallway. It was there that she had heard a lot of scribbling sounds coming from the boys' bunk room. She curiously cocked her eyebrow at the door as Mitchell came from it, only wearing a white tank and black shorts, scratching a journal with an eraser.

"Hm...that's too cliché," he muttered before scribbling something else, only to erase that as well. "And that's not cliché enough. Ah, the painstaking life that is being a horror writer."

He started to walk past Celeste, writing and erasing frequently as he did. She tried to say something to him, but froze up in the process of it. He slowly waltzed out of her sight, causing her to let out an exasperated sigh.

Confessional

"Some of my teammates are so cool!" Celeste exclaimed freely, much louder than she would be in a regular situation, "I really wish I could talk to them about some of these things and make some friends, but I keep freezing up everytime I try to talk to them. It's so embarrassing...gah."

"Celeste is pretty interesting," Mitchell muttered, scratching his chin with his pencil, "But she's awfully quiet around me. Which probably means that she's out to get me! Haha, I kid, I kid. Unless..."

Confessional End

Caleb, who was still in the boys bunkroom, had slipped into his everyday clothing while Buck, who conveniently slept in the bunk above him, was still dead asleep. The young-looking boy watched his teammate in interest as he, still completely asleep and snoring as loud as a bear, grabbed his banjo and started to play it masterfully.

"How interesting," Caleb muttered to himself with a mischievous smirk on his face.

Confessional

"Buck is quite an interesting person to watch," Caleb mentioned with that same smirk still on his face. "He's good at...well, pretty much everything. He's very musically apt, despite the banjo being a dreadful instrument. Also, he seems to know his way around electronics. Mitchell was trying to use a clip-on flashlight to write last night and it broke, but Buck was able to fix it up in less than a minute. I feel like I could use this to my advantage…"

Confessional End

Caleb grabbed a ruler that was on a desk in the room, using it to prod at his teammate until he snapped awake, setting his banjo aside and looking around in a groggy manner.

"What's with all the hullabaloo?" Buck asked, scratching his head in a tired confusion. "Oh, it's you, Caleb. Did ya need something?"

"Yes, actually," he replied, tossing the ruler to the side. "I feel that I have a great idea on how to help the both of us in this contest. A deal of sorts."

"What kinda deal, lil' chipmunk?"

Caleb's eyebrow twitched in a slight anger, though he took a deep breath and let it pass, regaining his composure.

"You and me are awfully similar, I've noticed from how you do things, even if you haven't noticed yourself."

"Whatcha mean?"

"Well, we both have the knack for certain things. I propose that you and I work together. You help me, I help you. That sort of thing."

"Uh…"

"I'm generally good at planning things, amazing at it, in fact, but you, Buck, are great at getting the ball rolling and applying yourself. You should really take that as a compliment because I'm pretty great. So we'll work together, save each other from elimination now and again, and once we merge, we split. Sound like a deal?"

"I don't know 'bout all that...I don't even really know you, like, at all."

"Ah! Of course, you will have some time to think about it, but do keep it in your mind."

With those words, Caleb walked out of the room, leaving Buck to himself as the camera switched gears and showed the Droid boys bunkroom. Daniel was already up and at his usual shenanigans, dancing in the middle of the room while watching a livestream of Theodore talking about life as the first loser of a reality game show.

"Huh, who would've thought he'd be back to this day one after getting out of here?" he asked Garett, who was tuning his guitar, and Calvin, who was looking for something on the floor, but not making it clear what it was.

"Oh, ya know how it is with the city slickers," Garett said, strumming a calming chord on his guitar. "They fail something once and they go back to their dailies."

"What does that even mean?"

"If I told ya, well, ya really wouldn't want to be talking to me right now."

"Aha!" exclaimed Calvin, picking something very small off of the floor with a pair of tweezers. "I found it!"

"What is it, Calvin?" Daniel asked, walking over to get a better look, only for Calvin to block the thing with his arm.

"Can't say, Agent Anderson, classified to agents only on this mission."

"But we are agents on this mission."

"Oh, well why didn't you say so? This is evidence that somebody broke into our bunkroom!"

"Broke in!?" Garett and Daniel were both shocked at the words.

"Yes. In these tweezers I hold one strand of hair, not belonging to any of us. It's lighter in color."

"Well, I'll be," Garett looked at the hair in the tweezers in astonishment. "What do ya reckon their motive was, agent?"

"It's not clear yet, but that's why the top three agents on this rock are on the case!"

"Yes, sir!" Daniel chimed, saluting Calvin as he left the room.

When the secret agent was gone, Garett began to laugh maniacally.

"What's wrong with you?"

"Oh, that Calvin," Garett said, wiping his laughter tears from his eyes. "He's just a couple strings short of a set."

"Why do you say that?"

"Come on, Daniel. The guy's clearly not the brightest, thinking he's a secret agent and all that."

"But he's a nice guy. I don't see him doing anything wrong."

"I reckon the lot of us are nice guys, doesn't make us all smart."

Garett rose from his seat, leaving Daniel kind of upset and alone.

Confessional

"Garett is getting on my nerves, dude," Daniel said with an upset expression on his face. "He always seems to have something to say about everybody else, but he believes he's perfect? What a nutcase."

"Oh, Daniel," Garett spoke, shaking his head in disappointment. "He's got talent, but he's too friendly. He's not really cut out for a cutthroat show like this one."

Confessional End

Meanwhile, the Droid girls had just woken up, Brittany whining about the conditions of the room while Blaster sat on her bed looking up at the ceiling and humming a tune. Margaret rolled her eyes with every word that Brittany spoke.

"It's just so gross in here!" Brittany complained, "They clearly haven't cleaned this place in...ever! I mean, come on, aren't shows like this supposed to have high end cleaning ladies or something. This is ridiculous, I'm going to call my lawyer, I swear it."

"Shut up!" Margaret shouted, causing both of the other two to look over at her. "You're going to make my brain explode with your yapping! You listen here, tutz, I'm not gonna stand for you acting like the world owes itself to you when all you do is whine and groan about the living conditions here. You have to be willing to get your hands dirty in a place like this, and I know that I am. So help me, if you continue to complain about this room for one more second, you're going to find yourself next to some fish when you wake up next morning!"

"Yikes," Blaster said, shuffling out of the room as the two continued to scream at each other.

She walked for quite a bit, eventually ending up near the Bot girls, who were headed to the cafeteria together, though Celeste was absent and Yves was somewhat distant from the others.

"Oh, hey!" Blaster greeted them with a big smile.

"Hi," Valerie meekly replied, looking down at the ground.

"Oh, Valerie," Larida patted her on the back, "You're never gonna be able to help your confidence if you can't even look someone in the face when you say hi to them."

"I know…"

"What brings you to us? Where's all your friends?"

"Uh...well," Blaster started, not sure how to answer, "My team is kinda...you know, they yell a lot. I just needed to get some fresh air!"

Yves nodded, seeming to agree with the enemy, but still remained distant.

"Well, you're more than welcome to walk with us to the cafeteria!" Larida said sweetly, receiving a smile from Blaster.

"Attention!" came Chris's voice from some speakers scattered throughout the hallways, "Report to the field for a debrief on your next challenge in exactly ten minutes!"

"Aw, but we haven't gotten to eat yet," murmured Valerie with a sigh.

"It'll be all fine! I can make you some real good food when we win!" Larida cheered, the group changing course to go to the field while Yves rolled her eyes.

Confessional

"I'm not one for much socialization," Yves started quietly, "It's too difficult to trust people in things like these...but some of the people here seem alright on a base level. Larida is friendly and Blaster, too...but friendliness is usually a cover for something horrible underneath, so I'll reserve my judgement until later."

Confessional End

As the thirteen remaining contestants met up in the field, Chris and Dana were there to greet them, though most of them knew that that would be bad news for them.

"Good morning, pilots!" Chris said with his signature grin. "Hope you slept well, because it's time for a challenge!"

"Hurray," Margaret lamely said as she rolled her eyes.

"Today's challenge," started Dana as she adjusted her massive glasses, "Is going to be a rather intense one. One team will act as the bad guys, the other team will be the good guys. The bad guys job is to rampage through a sectioned off portion of the city and destroy it completely, leaving no building or car intact. The good guys, you'll have to catch the bad guys before they can, working together to trap them in the giant cages we have built in front of the dome. The challenge ends when one team completes their goal first. The bad guys will be the Delta Droids and the good guys are the Beta Bots. Everyone, get to your mechs."

The hatches in the field opened up, causing each of the mechs to rise from underneath it. Theodore's mech, however, was not there, and there was a large metal statue of him in its place.

"What's with that?" asked Mitchell, a little skeptical about it.

"That?" Chris pointed at the statue in question. "That is what we've repurposed Theodore's mech into. Once somebody is kicked out of here, their mech will be converted into one of those. For what purpose? I'm not sure, Dana hasn't told me yet. But it was her idea."

"How...peculiar," Mitchell scribbled something down in his journal as he and the others all headed to their respective mechs.

Once they had all reached the control rooms in the mechs, Dana and Chris got to their positions, hitting the button on the remote and causing the lot of them to be sent into the sky and out into the city. On the Droids side of things, the group was lumped all together in the center of the sectioned off zone. Margaret's intense looking mech rose up tall, cracking its knuckles before grabbing the two large knives on its back.

"Alright, team," Margaret started with an intense tone, "We split up in different directions to cover the most surface area. If I catch any of you lackeys in someone else's zone, we'll be having a serious talk about your free trial of life on this island later. Any objections?"

"Uh, yeah!" Brittany returned, "I'm not too interested in taking orders from you, so like, let me do whatever I want? Kay, bye."

With that, Brittany's mech dashed off into the distance, shooting buildings with mass amounts of sparks and destroying them as she went. Margaret grew tense with anger from the disobedience and gritted her teeth.

Confessional

"That stuck up Brittany girl is going to be the death of her!" Margaret grumbled, slamming her fist into her palm. "See that? Like the death of me but instead I- ah whatever."

Confessional End

Calvin's Triceratopper was romping around alone, blasting buildings and cars with a machine gun-like volley from its two horns, when suddenly, a chain shot out at it, wrapping around its ankles and causing it to topple onto the ground.

"Agent down!" Calvin shouted, noticing the chain to have come from Buck's JagWire, coming out of the back of it.

"Ya know," Buck started, pulling Calvin with him as he walked back towards the dome, "I've mostly got tools of sorts in this thing, but when ya need a tow, it can also be pretty useful to have chains."

"Oh! The you're gonna think this is really useful, Agent Bailey."

As he was being tugged away, his own mech's tail shot out towards his captor's, spearing it through the head and pulling the two right next to each other.

"Consarnit!"

The chain from Buck's mech forcibly retracted, bringing out a large blow torch in its place.

"What are you gonna do with that?"

"Nothing special."

Buck cranked the heat on the torch, aiming it directly at the chain connected to the enemy's tail and causing it to melt off, leaving the hook part of it in his own mech's head. He then brought the chain out again, wrapping up Calvin once more and tugging him away.

"Very clever, agent. Very clever."

Meanwhile, Yves and Larida were working together, trying to get a hold of Daniel's mech, but were struggling due to the slick movement's of its dancing technique.

"Hold still, little rascal!" Larida said as she shot out massive balls of fluff from her mech, each missing Boombox as he danced around them.

"Hey, hey!" Daniel replied with a remote in hand. "How about a little music to take off the heat here?"

He tapped the button on the remote, causing music to start blasting from the speakers on his mech's back, the first powerful note, knocking Yves out of the sky and sending her away.

"Woah!" Yves shouted as she tried to regain control, eventually bumping into and knocking over Brittany, who was destroying buildings still, but pretty close by to where Daniel was.

"What the- hey!" Brittany shouted to the "attacker." "Watch where you're going, quiet girl!"

Yves rolled her eyes, indirectly causing her mech's eyes to roll, which offended Brittany, who started blasting her enemy with sparks. As each of the sparks hit Yves' mech, she could feel herself losing control of it until, out of nowhere, Celeste came flying in, dropping a powerful elbow onto the head of Brittany's mech and saving Yves.

"Oh, come on!" Brittany shouted as the two flying mechs grabbed a hold of one of each of their opponent's arms and carried her away.

Much further away, Blaster had completely cleared out a great portion of the city with the use of her mech's arm cannons and blades, and was cheering for herself as she moved onto Calvin's section to finish up his job, only to be met by Caleb's mech, which shot four giant chess pawns at her, staggering her slightly.

"Oh, cool!" she shouted, "A ranged fight! That's awesome, watch this!"

She fired a blast from her mech's arms towards Caleb's, though he dodged it in an instant, shooting two more pawns at Blaster, who sliced them in halves with the blades.

"Now, this is gonna be interesting!" Caleb said, cracking his knuckles before running towards Blaster, leaping above her as she swung the blades at him.

As the two continued to battle each other, Garett was destroying his own part of the city with his massive guitar, being attacked by Mitchell all the while.

"Ya know, gothie," Garett mocked, not paying much mind to his opponent, "Ya seem to be coming after me every chance ya get. If I didn't know any better I'd say ya had it out for me."

"Hey, that's my schtick!" Mitchell replied, swinging his giant knife at Garett quicker than before.

"Let's face it, fella. Ya can't take me down by your lonesome."

"Maybe not!" shouted Buck in the distance, "But with our help, he can!"

Garett's mech turned, revealing Mitchell, Yves, Buck, and Celeste all grouped up and caused his eyes to widen. He gulped as the four leapt at him, taking him down with relative ease, dragging him back with them to the dome.

Confessional

"Alright, look," Garett started, clearly annoyed, "I was jumped! Ya can't blame me for a situation like that happening, it just ain't right."

Confessional End

With only three of their team members left rampaging through the city, the Droids felt immense pressure, knowing that any amount of the Guppies could show up and take them down. Margaret had also cleared out her own section of the destruction area, and was greeted by Valerie's mech.

"I'd suggest you turn and run if you want to stay in this contest, girl," Margaret mocked her opponent, though Valerie seemed unaffected.

"I feel like you could insult me better than that...oh, sorry!" Valerie instantly felt bad for sharing her thoughts. "I shouldn't have said anything…"

"Uh, what? Whatever, you wanna go toe to toe with me? I'll show you why I'm the boss of my family."

With those words, Margaret's mech barreled towards Valerie's, which attempted to catch her, but was severely outclassed in speed as she avoided it and swung the knives at her mech's back, knocking her forward and causing her to stumble a bit before turning back around. Immediately, it was followed up by another knife swing, which knocked her onto her back. Margaret dashed away before Valerie could get back up, but was caught in a stray ball of fluff from Larida, who was still trying to deal with Daniel's nonsense.

"Gah!" Margaret shouted, falling onto the ground and finding herself unable to move out of the fluff as Mitchell and Celeste grabbed her from the ground and brought her back to the dome.

"Nice work Larida!" Mitchell shouted to his teammate, who was somewhat nearby, "Unless, of course, you were actually trying to hit me?"

"Oh, don't worry, honey! I would never," Larida replied, still going after Daniel, who danced around her, destroying buildings with relative ease until Yves came back, putting his mech into a headlock from behind.

"Uh oh!" he exclaimed, trying to break free from the headlock as Larida took aim at him again. "Welp, that'll do me!"

She shot another ball of fluff at him, causing him to get stuck just like Margaret had, while the two picked him up and brought him to the entrance. With that, the only Droid left standing was Blaster, who was still locked in combat with Caleb as about ten percent of the city was left undestroyed, mostly in Brittany's zone. The boy fired two more pawns at Blaster, who quickly destroyed them with cannon blasts, before realizing that he was completely out of pawns to fire.

"Aw, damn!" he shouted, slamming his fists on the console in front of him.

"No need to swear!" Blaster returned, giggling a little before noticing the entirety of Caleb's team coming to back him up. "Oh...well, that kinda blows."

The other droids, who were locked in their cages in front of the dome, were grumbling among each other, unable to see what was going on in the distance.

"I can't believe you just got up and went to do your own plan!" Margaret shouted at Brittany. "We're probably going to lose this dang challenge because of you!"

"Oh, blah blah!" Brittany retorted in a mocking tone. "I did just fine, thank you."

"Be that as it may, Agent Gemini," Calvin added, "Your refusal to work with your team could cost us this mission and many missions in the future."

"And weren't you the first to get caught?"

"Let's all just calm down," Daniel said, trying to alleviate some of the stress.

"No, don't," added Garett, "This is giving me an idea for a new song."

Finally, the team noticed Blaster being brought towards them by the entire enemy team, who then locked her up in the final cage in front of the dome, causing a loud alarm to sound.

"We have a winner!" shouted Chris, his voice booming from more speakers. "The Bots take another victory, meaning the Droids have to eliminate yet another Pilot tonight!"

"Aw, yeah!" Buck hollered, his team cheering with him except for Yves, who merely smiled by herself in her mech.

"How wonderful," Margaret mumbled, her mech glaring at Brittany's.

"Oh, you really wanna be like that?" Brittany fumed up and the two started shouting back and forth at each other while their team just watched.

Eventually, the Droids found themselves back in the landing room. Calvin, Daniel, and Blaster sat together while the other three remained distant from each other. Chris and Dana, who were in the center of the room, as usual, had only five pilot badges this time.

"A second loss," Dana started, "That is...dissatisfying."

"It was her fault!" Brittany and Margaret shouted in unison.

"Yeah, yeah," Chris said, mocking the two. "Isn't it always someone else's fault?"

They glared at him as he snickered.

"Anyways," Dana continued, "I told you the rules of this last time, but just in case some of you weren't paying attention, here we go. You lost the challenge today, which is why you're here. You each had to vote against one of your teammates due to their incompetence in that challenge. Now, we have five pilot badges for those of you who've continued to prove your worth in your team. When the last of you fails to receive one, you'll have to walk to the jet of shame to be sent away from Cali-Tokyo and have your mech destroyed and rebuilt into a sad statue of yourself. Now then...Daniel."

"Yeah, baby!" Daniel shouted, catching his badge and grinning at it.

"Blaster...Garett…"

"Woohoo!" Blaster cheered, catching hers happily.

"Alright, alright, alright," Garett smugly said, catching his own badge with a smirk.

"And...Calvin."

"Ma'am, yes, ma'am!" Calvin saluted, actually catching his badge this time.

"This is an outrage!" Brittany complained. "Why am I always on the chopping block?"

"Oh, shut your yap," Margaret said, rolling her eyes.

"Margaret, you've shown your team that you can be very brutal and bossy, so I'm sure you understand why you're at the bottom two. Brittany, you refuse to be agreeable with your team. This last badge goes to…"

The two watched in anticipation, wondering whose name would be spoken next.

"...Margaret."

"Of course," Margaret said with an evil look at Brittany, catching her badge with ease.

"What the he$%!?" Brittany rose from her seat, glaring at Chris. "What about that money I gave you to avoid this exact situation? What about that, huh?"

"Hm," Chris thought out loud, scratching his chin, "I can't seem to recall anything like that!"

"Oho, you're so gonna get it. This is so not fair. I demand a recount!"

"Okay," Dana obliged, quickly looking at six slips of paper in her hands and reading each of the names. "Done. You're out."

"Fine! Whatever! See if I care! If my parents kick me out because of this, I'm so going to kill all of you!"

"Alright, we get it!" Margaret grabbed Brittany by the arm, dragging her along to the jet and throwing her into it as she shouted in defiance. "What a nutcase."

The jet then flew off, the Droids quickly rising from their seats and leaving the room, except for Daniel, who pulled Calvin aside.

"Yo, man," he started, seeming to be more serious than usual. "Did you ever finish up that mission? You know, the one with the break in and all that."

"Ah!" Calvin nodded as he spoke. "I did. I checked each and every person here, and the only one whose hair matched that one was…"

He pointed over at Dana, who gulped as they approached her.

"C-can I help you guys?" she asked, twiddling her thumbs while looking away from them.

"Why did you break into our room?" asked Daniel. "What did you have to gain?"

She mumbled in a very unclear manner, causing the two to cock their heads in confusion.

"What was that?" Calvin asked.

"I was trying to get a selfie with Garett! Don't tell him, he'll probably think I'm creepy. I'm just a big fan! Please don't tell him…"

She seemed to be pretty embarrassed about the whole thing, so the two shrugged it off and turned away to walk back to their room.

"Mission finished?" asked Daniel.

"Indeed, it is," Calvin answered. "Nice work, agent."

Author Notes:

*And that's two down out of fourteen. Brittany sure was aggressive and definitely good as far as challenges went, but even compared to people like Margaret, she wasn't much of a team player. It was more of a "do what I want or you're dead to me" kind of deal with her. It's an early and unfortunate sendoff for her.
