Cali-Tokyo was completely dark in the middle of the night, each pilot asleep in their bunkrooms while Chris and Dana were busy putting something together. It wasn't clear what it was exactly, at least until lights lit up from it, revealing it to be a human sized robot. Chris and Dana high fived each other as that robot wheeled away from them and out of the dome.
"Last time on Total Drama Mega Mechas: after enjoying a few days of undisturbed Cali-Tokyo life, the thirteen remaining contestants had a rude wake-up call when their second challenge was announced, this time a classic game of good guys versus bad guys. The droids were chosen as the bad guys, being tasked with destroying a select part of the city in a small amount of time, while the good guys simply had to catch and cage them. Margaret tried to drive her team to focus on the challenge in a professional way, but the oh-so snobby Brittany just had to do things her way, making the challenge much more difficult for her team. The Bots, once again, showed some excellent teamwork as they took down the bad guys, one by one. Though Blaster and Daniel managed to put up a good fight, they did eventually get caught, and their team lost. Brittany fell to blame for the challenge being lost, and was cast out by her team. Oh, and little Dana here did something totally embarrassing!"
"Hey, stop it!"
"Anyway, tonight, things are getting more exciting. What drama will ensue? Will the Droids actually win a challenge? Will I get any handsomer? Probably. Find out, right now, on Total Drama Mega Mechas!"
The camera flew through the sky, going all the way down to the ground and into the dome, right in the center of a field inside.
"Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine," was heard as Buck was seen strumming a tune on his banjo happily while Daniel danced to the country tune wildly.
"You guys are on my mind," the camera swung past the two to show Caleb rolling his eyes while sitting at a table in the cafeteria. Larida was smiling cheerfully and patting the young looking gent on the head.
"You asked me what I wanted to be and I think the answer's plain to see," at a nearby table, Mitch was reading a book that he wrote to the ever-shy Celeste, who was happily listening to him.
"I wanna be famous!" Margaret ran past the two, startling them as a pair of security robots were chasing her.
"I wanna live close to the sun," suddenly, Margaret ran into Valerie and fell over, rubbing her head as the shy girl erupted in anger and the two started screaming at each other, scaring away the robots.
"So pack your bags, cause I've already won," the camera swung over to the outside of the dome, where Calvin was at the entrance, searching for clues of some sort, before waving to the camera with a bright smile and going stone-faced, realizing that he should be focusing on his task at hand.
"Everything to prove, nothing in my way, I'll get there one day," Yves was close by to the secret agent, watching him closely while keeping to herself and blasting an unsuspecting Garett with a water gun, as he was attempting to blast Calvin.
"I wanna be famous!" Blaster ran past the two, pretending to be a cyborg and blast some robots with her arm, only to knock over Brittany, who looked at the airhead angrily.
"Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na," the camera swung up to the sky, showing each and everyone's mechs being shot out of the top of the dome, with each person in them.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous! I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!" the light had faded from the sky and the camera showed the fourteen contestants in a jet takeoff room, seated in a circle while Chris and Dana stood in the center, each with mischievous looks on their faces.
The night remained, dark as could be, while the contestants were still asleep in their rooms. Nothing could be heard, but the snores of the remaining twelve as they lay in bed...until a very loud alarm started to blare, waking all of them from their slumber.
"Gah, what the hell!?" Margaret woke up in a fury, shouting as she covered her ears.
"What's going on?" Blaster questioned, covering her own ears as well.
"I don't know, but I'm gonna find out who's doing this and knock some sense into them!"
The two girls burst from their lonely room to find Garett, Daniel, and Calvin out in the hallway as well, each covering their ears.
"Where is this coming from, dangnabbit?" Garett grumbled.
"I wonder if us agents can figure it out together?" Calvin smirked at his team, half smiling back at him with the other half rolling their eyes.
"I bet it's coming from the field, Chris has got to be up to something in there," Daniel suggested.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Margaret started, hissing each word, "Let's get a move on!"
Meanwhile, the Bots had also just come from their rooms, in a similar panic that their enemies were in.
"Man, ain't that one annoying rooster?" Buck joked, gaining a glare from Caleb.
"Very funny," the short boy replied, "But this needs to stop! I need my sleep or else I can't function right."
"You think you got it bad?" Mitchell asked rhetorically, "Check out Larida."
"Something about...waffles?" Larida was almost completely incoherent in a daze.
Confessional
"I'm not as young as the other contestants here," Larida said with a flush of embarrassment on her face, "I need enough sleep or...well, you know. I spout nonsense. My son, Maxie, knows how bad it can get."
Confessional End
"Geez...you okay?" Valerie shyly asked Larida, who nodded.
"Just...reset the toothbrush...Maxie," she replied, still speaking as if she was still asleep.
Celeste patted Larida on the back and helped her stand up as Yves pointed toward the hallway that led to the field.
"This way," Yves said quietly before heading off in that direction.
"Oh! She spoke!" Mitchell immediately began to scribble something down in his book. "Now that's gonna be a killer plot device!"
The rest of the group began to follow her, ending up at the field with the Droids coming from another entrance. Dana and Chris stood in the center of the field, with earplugs in, snickering as they stood before a crate that remained shut for the moment. After the pilots reached the center with the hosts, Dana pressed a button on a strange looking remote, turning off the blaring alarm. The hosts took their earplugs out as the contestants finally got their relief from the noise.
"What was that all about?" Margaret demanded an answer as she made a fist at the two.
"Stop yelling...my ears still ache," Caleb muttered to the imposing girl.
"Oh, hush your mouth, little boy."
"I am not a little boy. I'll have you know that I'm far greater than you in many ways you bi$ %!"
The other contestants gasped as Caleb said his piece to Margaret.
"You're so dead, kid."
"Alright, alright," Chris stood between the two as they approached each other with evil intent. "Settle down, the challenge hasn't even started yet."
"Challenge...?" Valerie questioned Chris, "But it's midnight..."
"The perfect time to hold a challenge," Dana mentioned with an evil grin, "To test how you all deal with rough circumstances."
"But how do we control our mechs? It's way too dark out there," Daniel added.
"Yeah, I was wondering the same thing," continued Buck, "Do they have special night vision doohickeys?"
"Well, to be frank," Chris went on, having had enough of the menial questions, "You guys have all been using the mechs to their fullest extent, which means that they need some down time for repairs. You can expect a couple of these challenges to be mechless for that very reason."
"But then what would the challenge be?" Calvin inquired.
"If you'd wait for me to explain then you would already know what the challenge is, gosh! We've been working on designs for some security robots for this island, so nobody can sneak in, yadda yadda. What you'll all be doing is going toe to wheel against those robots!"
"We don't have any weapons for no dang robots," Garett added, getting impatient.
"Behind us, in this crate," Dana said, slapping the top of the crate before lifting it up and revealing many water guns, "Are the weapons you'll need to take them down."
"Water guns? You're serious?" Margaret asked, not getting any less annoyed.
"Yes, indeed I am. The robots don't fare to well against water, to be frank. We've set up refilling stations all over the dome for you guys to use when you run out of ammo. Your goal is to take down as many robots as possible for your team. There are two ways to win this challenge. The first, in the event that all of the robots are disabled, the winning team will be the one that took down the most of them. The second involves being caught. The robots only goal is to make contact with you. If they touch you in any way at all you'll be considered out of the challenge. If a lot of you get caught, the winning team will be that which has the last man standing."
"How interesting," Mitchell scribbled more stuff down in his book. "But isn't there always the possibility that the robots could suddenly snap and attack us?"
"Of course there is," Chris continued. "But we've got eyes everywhere. If that happened, we could send out an emp which would disable each and every robot. Now, come get your weapons!"
The contestants rushed over to the crate, grabbing a water gun for each of them.
Confessional
"I can already tell this is going to go badly," Yves started, showing some slight worry about what may ensue during the challenge, "We'll just have to keep them off of our backs long enough for the other team to be caught. Shouldn't be too hard...they're already two down."
"That Mitchell is so interesting," Celeste said excitedly, "I wish I could read his writing...but I'm still too shy to ask."
"We have got to win this one," Daniel mentioned, "We've got good players, but I feel like we all just fight with each other rather than focus on the other team. Hopefully we can do a little better now."
Confessional End
Once each of the contestants were settled with their watery weaponry, Dana pressed a few more buttons on the remote she had. A loud noise, sounding like a rusty gate opening, cried out in their ears, thoroughly shocking the lot of them.
"Go ahead and bag yourselves some robots, now!" Chris announced, sending the teams off into the building to look for the targets.
Larida and Yves walked together through the cafeteria, not noticing any robots nearby for the time being. As they neared the kitchen area of it, the quiet one noticed one of the aforementioned refilling stations.
"Look," she said to the tired Larida, gesturing to the station.
"Oh...that's nice, Maxie," she replied in a daze, confusing her teammate.
Not long after they spotted the station, a large group of the robots burst through the doors to the cafeteria, startling Yves, while Larida barely noticed them. The completely concious of the two started to fire blasts of water at the bots, managing to knock down about ten of them before she needed to refill her water. She skillfully hopped over the counter and into the kitchen as Larida just stood there, being approached by the remaining bots while Yves reloaded.
"Hurry up!" Yves shouted back to her as she started filling up her water gun again.
"Oh...my teammates look way different at night," Larida said with a slight giggle as one of the robots tapped her arm, its hand acting like a taser and zapping her, causing her to pass out from shock.
"What the!?"
"Oh, I forgot to mention," Dana's voice came from the speakers throughout the dome, "You'll receive a slight electric shock once a robot catches you. Sorry."
"This is ridiculous," Yves mumbled as she continued to blast robots and refill her water in a good rhythm.
Meanwhile, Calvin and Daniel found themselves in a room that resembled an art gallery, though it was missing art from its frames on the walls. Calvin scanned the room intensely, checking to see if he could spot any robots, but with no success.
"There's none in here yet, Agent Anderson," Calvin said, somewhat relieved.
"That's good to hear," Daniel replied, "But it makes me wonder when they are going to show up...I haven't seen any refilling stations yet, have you?"
"Nope, none on the way here at least."
"We'll just have to keep looking."
Suddenly, the door creaked open slightly, causing the two to aim towards it. They kept their water guns focused on the door as they hid themselves behind a large desk in the center. As it creaked open more and more, Mitchell and Celeste walked into the room, relieving the other two contestants that thought they were in danger.
"Oh, sweet," Daniel said, wiping his brow, "You aren't robots."
"Or are we?" Mitchell joked, receiving a blast of water from Calvin. "Hey!"
"Can't be too careful!" Calvin exclaimed as Celeste giggled at her teammate.
"I guess you're right. But now I'm soaking wet...this'll surely affect my performance."
"My apologies, Agent Myers."
"You know...I'm just realizing now that we aren't on the same team as you guys," Daniel thought about the situation.
"Yeah, but it doesn't really matter. We have a common enemy right now."
"You're right about that, dude. You didn't happen to see any refilling stations around, did you?"
"Nope...not that I can remember."
"Rats," Calvin muttered, "We'll have to get out this room and look elsewhere."
As the four turned towards the door to leave, robots found their way in through it, and a lot of them. The contestants immediately climbed atop the desk that the Droids were originally hiding underneath, firing blasts of water at the robots that came near them.
"There's too many of them!" Daniel shouted in fear as he ran out of water.
"I'm out, too!" Mitchell groaned as Calvin and Celeste ran out of their water supply as well.
"Well, agents," Calvin started in a heroic tone, "It's been an honor agents!"
Unable to take any more robots out, the four each got tapped by them, receiving the shock that Larida had earlier and falling off the desk, passed out.
Confessional
"That was not a slight shock!" Mitchell complained, "These people are sadists, I swear."
"Why do they treat us like lab rats?" Daniel asked the camera, "First the loud alarm to wake us up, then being literally tased! At least it's over for some of us...I never wanna go through that again."
Confessional End
Garett, Blaster, and Margaret managed to stay together during the situation, stumbling upon a large library room. As they entered, they noticed Valerie and Caleb seated at a table, their water guns aimed at the three, who aimed back at them in response.
"Stay back, intruders!" Caleb shouted from his seat. "We'll splash you!"
"That'd be a waste of water," Margaret mocked Caleb, "Go ahead, do it."
"Hmph, whatever. But this is our room!"
"Ya see," Garett started, noticing the state of things, "From where we're standing it seems that we have an advantage here in arms."
"Yeah! There's three of us!" Blaster cheered.
"We have two more! Buck just went to give Yves a hand, we saw her getting trapped in the café with Larida earlier."
"How interesting," Garett stroked his chin with his water gun, locking the door behind him quickly and quietly.
"What's so important about this room to you, anyways?" asked Margaret.
"There's a lot of-" Valerie was cut off by Caleb putting his hand over her mouth.
"Don't tell them that! They'll us it to their advantage."
"Oh...sorry."
"Well, well," Margaret gained some interest in Valerie, approaching her from where she stood. "Go on...uh...Mallerie, was it?"
"Valerie..."
"Yeah, yeah. I'd really love to know what you were going to say."
As Margaret reached the table, she slammed her fists onto it, startling Valerie and Caleb.
"Hey, don't you try and squeeze info out of her!" Caleb whined, only to be shoved aside by Margaret.
"Shut it, twerp. What was it, Victoria?"
"It's Valerie..."
"We get it, Veronica," she slammed her fist on the table again, making Valerie gain a slightly aggressive look on her face. "Tell us."
"Oh, I love that city girl's furious ways!" Garett chuckled at the scene, while Blaster just looked confused about it all.
"I don't get it," the airhead said, trying to understand what was going on, "Why are they fighting each other? Aren't we supposed to fight the robots?"
"Don'tcha know that people are the real evil?" Garett asked his teammate, who simply shook her head. "That's what that Mitchell wrote in his book earlier, I got myself a sneak peak."
"Oh...ominous!"
Confessional
"Blaster is just like Calvin," Garett mentioned with a grin, "Both simple minded, quite easy to take advantage of in any situation, really. Ya just gotta say the right words at the right times. And, boy, am I good at that."
"Garett's pretty cool," Blaster happily said, "He explains things I don't quite get and all that. Cool guy...no, I'm not interested in him! I have a boyfriend, you know."
Confessional End
Buck had just arrived at the cafeteria, seeing Yves in the kitchen blasting robots as fast as she could while Larida was fast asleep on the ground still. He looked around, trying to find a good way to get to his teammate, before coming up with an idea.
"Sit tight, partner!" Buck called out to Yves, alerting the robots and causing a group of them to turn back towards him and wheel their way towards him.
He jumped from table to table, not touching the floor as he made his way across the cafeteria and to the kitchen counter. He grabbed the water tank from his water gun, which was half empty, and handed it to Yves, who didn't really understand.
"Fill both of 'em up good! Then gimme the tanks and we can get out of here!"
Yves didn't question it further as she started to fill the tanks with water, handing both of them to Buck, who was now surrounding as he stood on the counter that she was hidden behind.
"Y'all ready to dance?" he asked the robots as he spun the bottles, throwing them into the air in a spiraling motion which caused the water to fly all over the room, drops hitting each and every robots in the vicinity.
The robots fell, one by one, and Buck stood on the counter in a triumphant pose as Yves looked around at the great work he had done. He chuckled a little, sitting down on the counter.
"Let's get those suckers back and head to the library, Caleb and Valerie are in there waiting for us."
Yves nodded, hopping the counter to grab the two water tanks. She brought them back to her filling station and began to fill one with water. As she did, she noticed that the station was nearly empty, the remnants of the water only managing to fill half of the bottle. She grabbed Buck's attention by tugging on his shirt, getting him to look down at the now empty station and the half full tank.
"Hm, that's no good," he said to himself as he thought about their next move. "We'll just have to make it to the library quickly, there's a whole bunch a them there!"
Yves nodded again, putting the half full tank in Buck's gun and handing it back to him. They headed to the door, leaving the mass amount of robots on the ground along with Larida, who was now both asleep and soaked in water.
Confessional
"Buck's smarter than a lot of people here, just a fact," Yves said, complimenting her teammate's quick thinking, "He continues to surprise us every challenge. I wonder how long that'll last him..."
"That Yves sure is quiet," Buck mentioned, "But she's an alright pal. Looks out for others and whatnot, ya know?"
Confessional End
Buck and Yves walked the halls together, searching for their way back to the library from the cafeteria. As they walked, they noticed the slightly creaked open door to the art gallery. Intrigued, Yves looked inside, noticing the four players in there, passed out on the desk still. Oddly, she didn't notice any of the robots from before in the room, just the people.
"That's weird," Buck said as he also took a peek into the room, "How could they have gotten out like that if there's no robots around them?"
Yves shrugged at first, before she turned around to notice a large wave of robots coming from behind them. She quickly pointed at them and started running, Buck following her as he saw them.
"Golly! We'd better hurry before they catch up, those buggers are fast!"
The two continued to run down the halls, the force of robots growing in members as they followed them. When they came up on the entrance to the library, Yves tugged on the door, though it didn't open. She continued to tug on it While Buck tried to shoot at some of the robots that were gaining on them.
"What gives?" he asked as he ran out of water. "Why ain't it opening?"
Yves began to bang on the door with her fists, the five people on the other side of it taking note of the noise.
"What's going on out there?" Caleb asked, squeezing his water gun tightly.
"Must be the robots," Garett answered, "I locked 'em out to keep us safe."
"You what!? We've got players out there!"
"Whoops, musta slipped my mind."
Garett chuckled as Caleb got up from his seat and tried to rush over to the door, only to be grabbed by Margaret, who wouldn't let him go.
"You can't do this!"
"Says who?" Margaret asked. "You aren't Chris or Dana...you don't make the rules, kid."
"Stop calling me a kid!"
Blaster looked a little concerned at the situation, glancing over at the door to the library and eyeing its lock. As she reached for it, Garett stopped her.
"We need this win, leave it locked."
"But...they need help..."
"So? They ain't on our side."
On the outside of the library, Buck and Yves found themselves surrounded by robots, no escape route in sight as they closed in on them. Buck gulped deeply in fear while Yves braced herself for the shock.
"Well, it was nice knowin' ya!" Buck said to his teammate, receiving a nod from her right before they got the shock delivered to them, knocking them out cold.
Blaster heard the two thud as they were zapped and looked down at the floor, seeming pretty upset about not being able to help them.
"Fran, you'd better tell me what's so good about this room right now or, so help me, I'll let those robots get the both of you," Margaret threatened her, trying to stay quiet to keep the robots at bay.
"Fran?" Valerie asked, clearly angry about the amount of times Margaret had said a different name than her own, "That isn't even remotely close!"
As she shouted, the robots started to bang on the door, as if they heard the noise.
"Uh...Valerie?" Caleb tried to grab her attention to get her to quiet down.
"I swear, you people drive me insane! I've dealt with rude people for years, but you can't even manage to say my name right after I've told you a million times that it's Valerie!"
The robots continued to bang on the door, getting louder and louder.
"Keep it down, girl," Garett pleaded.
"And you know what? I bet your own team doesn't even like you! They just listen to you because you're oh so big and scary! Well, I'm not scared of you, not one bit!"
"Oh, you aren't?" Margaret rolled her eyes at Valerie, who then got up from her seat and got in her face. "Back off, Valoser."
"Wow, that stings. I've never heard that one before! We should make an award for 'most original insult' and give it to you for that!"
Suddenly, the robots broke through the locked door, startling the group and immediately shocking Garett and Blaster, who were incredibly close to the door still. The remaining three started to fire shots of water as fast as they could, each running to separate corners of the massive room.
"Look what you did, Valerie!" Caleb annoyedly shouted to his teammate who was near the opposite corner of the room. "Now it doesn't even matter how many refilling stations there are in here, we're never going to be able to get rid of all of them!"
"Sorry..."
Valerie was the first to be caught out of the three, receiving a painful shock that knocked her out, but not before she threw an incredibly aggressive punch into one of the robots' faces, completely breaking it.
"Oh, my!" Margaret said in a strange excitement, "How violent."
She started to climb the bookshelves in the room, making her way to the top of them while Caleb tried to do something similar. Unfortunately, he found himself unable to jump to the top of them, probably due to his small stature, and fell down to the floor as robots surrounded him. One of them tased him, causing him to pass out and all of the robots in the room to suddenly shut off while Margaret looked down from her perch.
"In a shocking turn of events," started Chris over the speakers, "The Droids have finally claimed a win for their team, thanks to Margaret!"
"Aw, yeah!" Margaret cheered, "I did pretty good, huh?"
She looked down at Garett and Blaster, both of which were still knocked out and unable to answer her. She rolled her eyes, jumping back down to the floor and grabbing the two and dragging them out of the library.
"Looks like the Bots are gonna have to eliminate their first contestant of the season! Choose wisely, you can't relive this moment ever again!"
Confessional
"Valerie blew it!" Caleb growled, "I don't know why she had to shout like that, but it cost us this win!"
"I just get angry sometimes...sorry," Valerie mumbled, embarrassed about the sudden explosion she had.
"Well, that shock did me right!" Larida happily said, looking alive again, "I feel more energized than ever!"
"I cannot believe that someone stole a page from my book!" Mitchell whined, showing a missing page from his book. "The nerve of some people, I swear...they're out to get me!"
"Having a win streak was nice," Celeste said shyly, "It's a shame we have to eliminate someone now...everyone seemed pretty nice..."
"I can't get over this...who could've locked the door? It had ta be one of the two inside, right?" Buck was puzzled as he searched his mind for an answer.
"Someone inside betrayed us," Yves muttered coldly, "Unforgivable."
Confessional End
The seven Bots sat in the landing room, each still suffering from the shock they received, except for Larida, who was right as rain. Dana and Chris, who had the plate with only six pilot badges on it, stood before them, eyeing down the group with malicious intent.
"Well, it's your first time here, isn't it?" Dana smugly grinned as she spoke her words to the group, all of which rolled their eyes at her. "It had to happen sometime, I suppose. Especially with the powerful players on the other team. Ahem, anywho...here, we have six pilot badges, representing the six of you will be announced safe from elimination. As far as things go for your seventh member, you've voted to get rid of them for their failure today. Such a shame, I know, but hey, it happens. Once I call your name, you'll know you're safe, with nothing more to fear other than the next challenge. The person that doesn't get called will have to walk their sorry butt over to the jet of shame to be taken away from Cali-Tokyo forever! First up...Buck."
"Dang right!" Buck cheered, catching his badge, which Chris had tossed to him.
"...Celeste...Mitchell..."
"I guess no one's out to get me...yet," Mitchell said, shifting his gaze from player to player as he caught his badge.
Celeste giggled slightly as his eyes wandered, catching her own badge.
"...Yves...and...Caleb."
Yves sighed in relief, catching her badge and receiving a fist bump from Buck.
"Well, duh," Caleb said in a tone that bugged the others.
Larida and Valerie remained badgeless, both of them exchanging a worried look as they noticed they were the final two.
"Larida, you were the first to fall in tonight's challenge, costing your team an early advantage that could've kept you going a lot longer than you did, and maybe let you claim another victory."
"I'm sorry, team," the mother apologized, "I'll do better next time."
"Valerie, your outburst against Margaret cost your team the win in the end, since you definitely alerted the robots that otherwise wouldn't have come for you."
"...I know," Valerie sighed as she spoke.
"This last badge goes to..."

Chris tossed the final badge to Larida, who was overjoyed to catch it, though immediately felt upset about the loss of Valerie. Valerie rose from her seat, ashamed in herself for what she did. While she walked, she could feel Caleb glaring holes into the back of her head. Before getting onto the jet, she turned to face her team one last time, noticing that Buck, Yves, Celeste, Larida, and Mitchell were all standing with an upset look on their faces.
"You did what you could," Larida mentioned, "That's all that matters."
"I guess they were out to get you," Mitchell mumbled, crossing out something in his book.
"Ya were a good teammate," Buck said cheerfully. "Bad things happen, ya know?"
"Oh, guys...you don't have to be sad that I'm leaving," Valerie blushed a little from the warm atmosphere. "I screwed up...I deserve this."
"Well, that may be, but we're still friends and all! Right?"
Valerie nodded as she entered the jet, flying off into the distance shortly after and leaving her team behind.
Author Notes:
*The first loss for the Bots has finally happened (Sorry, no three win streak for these guys) and they're down a good pilot. Valerie was fun to use for this story, and she definitely helped to bring out the worst in Margaret and Caleb for a moment.
*There will be, as was mentioned in the episode, a few challenges that are mechless. I mean, come on, they can't go on forever without some repairs. I will try to keep them interesting as they come.
*Votes: Valerie - Caleb, Buck, Larida, Yves; Larida - Celeste, Valerie, Mitchell
*Placements: 14th - Theodore; 13th - Brittany; 12th - Valerie
