It was a stormy night in Cali-Tokyo, the rain poured down intensely, striking each window pane loudly. Thunder roared here and there, creating a loud cover, perfect for someone trying to pull off a heist. And thus, someone did. A window shattered in one of the rooms, allowing a perpetrator to escape the massive dome with a large sack on their back, containing unknown items.
"Last time on Total Drama Mega Mechas: the teams were both down to four out of their original seven members, but some contestants seemed all too pleased with the lack of a certain soul singer. Looking at you guys, Daniel and Calvin. After a dance party between the two boys woke Margaret and Blaster, the mafia queen got up close and violent with Daniel, scaring the other two team members to run away just quick enough to miss some lip smacking! Mwah, mwah! Buck still struggled to impress Yves with his flirting, and Mitchell still couldn't sense that Celeste had the hots for him. These boys are dense sometimes. The challenge we brought forth to the contestants was a team battle, involving everyone on their team to merge mechs to go toe to toe against the other team. While the Bots got a nice head start to the challenge, and figured out how to control themselves quickly, the Droids struggled, as Margaret and Daniel had some mixed feelings for each other. Eventually, a video from Theodore accidentally played, which showed how friendly the two were on day one, and they set their feelings aside to help their team win the challenge. Unfortunately for the Bots, they had to send someone home, and since they only had four people and everyone voted for themselves, it was a tie! Though, Yves did quit briefly after. What a tearjerker scene. Oh, almost forgot to mention that Margaret and Daniel are totally a thing now...I think. It was kind of confusing, but they made out on the field."
"Yeah," Dana interrupted, "Not quite sure what it was about, but it was weird. Also, it looked like Margaret was avoiding the cameras on purpose."
"It sure did!" a cheerful voice spoke over her. "Sorry to interrupt, I'm just so glad to be here!"
"Right, but wait your turn. We'll get to you soon enough."
"Oh, goodie! You're the best Dana! We're besties now!"
"Sure...whatever you want."
"Ahem!" Chris redirected all attention to his voice, "There's only seven left, that's half of our original cast! Who will be the next to fall? Who will lose the shot at the money that they all want? Who will win? "Find out on this mysterious episode of Total Drama Mega Mechas!"
The camera flew through the sky, going all the way down to the ground and into the dome, right in the center of a field inside.
"Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine," was heard as Buck was seen strumming a tune on his banjo happily while Daniel danced to the country tune wildly.
"You guys are on my mind," the camera swung past the two to show Caleb rolling his eyes while sitting at a table in the cafeteria. Larida was smiling cheerfully and patting the young looking gent on the head.
"You asked me what I wanted to be and I think the answer's plain to see," at a nearby table, Mitch was reading a book that he wrote to the ever-shy Celeste, who was happily listening to him.
"I wanna be famous!" Margaret ran past the two, startling them as a pair of security robots were chasing her.
"I wanna live close to the sun," suddenly, Margaret ran into Valerie and fell over, rubbing her head as the shy girl erupted in anger and the two started screaming at each other, scaring away the robots.
"So pack your bags, cause I've already won," the camera swung over to the outside of the dome, where Calvin was at the entrance, searching for clues of some sort, before waving to the camera with a bright smile and going stone-faced, realizing that he should be focusing on his task at hand.
"Everything to prove, nothing in my way, I'll get there one day," Yves was close by to the secret agent, watching him closely while keeping to herself and blasting an unsuspecting Garett with a water gun, as he was attempting to blast Calvin.
"I wanna be famous!" Blaster ran past the two, pretending to be a cyborg and blast some robots with her arm, only to knock over Brittany, who looked at the airhead angrily.
"Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na," the camera swung up to the sky, showing each and everyone's mechs being shot out of the top of the dome, with each person in them.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous! I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!" the light had faded from the sky and the camera showed the fourteen contestants in a jet takeoff room, seated in a circle while Chris and Dana stood in the center, each with mischievous looks on their faces.
The storm raged on, now with a broken window somewhere inside the dome amplifying the cold. Mitchell walked the halls, heading towards his and Buck's room, shivering all the way.
"W-W-W-Why is it so c-c-cold?" he asked himself as he walked, looking around to see if an air conditioner was on or something. "Chris if this is for a ch-ch-ch-challenge, I swear to G-G-God..."
"Y-y-you noticed the c-c-c-cold too?" Celeste implored, having left her own room, sniffling with a red nose.
"Y-y-yeah, I'm trying to g-g-get to my r-r-room and in b-b-bed. Too cold for th-th-this."
"Y-y-you can come into my room! I have a sp-sp-space heater I can plug in!"
"I don't know if th-th-that's a great idea, it is the g-g-girl's room after all."
"But Mitchy..."
"Mitchy? Wh-wh-when did you come up with th-th-that?"
"Uh...just like...I-I-I don't remember."
"You alright? Y-y-you've been acting so weird lately."
"Because I..."
Confessional
"Come on Celeste, you can do this!" Celeste pumped herself up. "Yves would tell you to just do it, I have to just do it!"
Confessional End
"I l-l-like you!"
"Uh, I like y-y-you, too? I thought that was established al-al-already?"
"No, but I like like y-y-you!"
"Huh?"
"Dadgummit!" Buck burst from the boys' room, wearing several layers of clothing and coats.
He had some window repair tools in his hands, ready to fix whatever had gone wrong. The top layer of his clothing had a red flannel coat, which had fuzz on the inside that could be seen on the collar that was flipped. He also had on black snow pants, heavy duty, black snow boots, blue mittens, red, flannel ear muffs, and a red snow cap. Behind him was a bag that contained several other jackets, though it was strange that he had them on his person.
"Isn't it the middle of s-s-summer?" Mitchell asked, "Why d-d-do you have so many coats?"
"I came prepared for a bad situation! Here, take some! I gotta get these other ones to the other team!"
He tossed a coat, hat, and gloves to each of his teammates. Mitchell waited for Celeste to put her own on before he did his own. She slipped into the yellow, flower pattern coat, black beanie, and white gloves, feeling much warmer than before and letting out a sigh of relief as she rubbed her hands together. Mitchell shrugged as he put his own on, a black coat, with red stripes, black gloves with fake blood splotches scattered on them, and a black trapper hat with a built in mask that covered his nose and mouth.
"Thanks, Buck!" Celeste said sweetly.
"No problem!" he said as he dragged the bag behind him and carried the tools in his hands. "Now, I gotta help the others! Ya guys look for the window while I'm out!"
"The window?" Mitchell questioned, "What do you mean?"
"A window's broken! That's the only thing I could think might cause this leak of the cold. I'll be back, search high and low, y'all."
With that, he ran off into the distance, on his way to the other team's rooming area, leaving the two of his teammates behind him. Celeste twiddled her thumbs, feeling kind of awkward having attempted to admit her feelings, but seemingly being blown off. Mitchell scratched his chin in thought for a moment.
"So, like," Mitchell started, "You want to go out...with me?"
"Ah! Yes, yes, yes!" Celeste nodded so rapidly that it looked like she was head banging to a rock concert.
"But...I'm a geek, right? Don't pretty girls usually like the popular guys? That's not me."
"I like interesting people, I don't care how popular people are."
"I'm interesting?"
"You're sooooo cool! You're a horror author, you're super creative and it seems like nobody here really appreciates it but I do! I love when you talk about horror movies or get lost in thought writing, it's literally amazing! Plus...I'd still be too shy to talk if it weren't for you."
"Huh...that's something, be right back," he went to grab his book from the room behind him, only to scream in horror seconds later.
Celeste rushed into the room, worrying about her teammate, to find him hunched over a safe that was completely empty.
"What happened?"
"My book is gone!" Mitchell cried out, slamming his fist against the ground. "How does this keep happening!?"
"Oh, no! I'm sorry Mitch, I'll help you look for it!"
As Mitchell was heartbroken on the floor, Celeste started looking around the room, lifting things up and looking under them for wherever the book may be. In the Droid's rooming area, Buck had finally arrived with his bag of winter clothes, knocking on the two doors and waiting for a response from the group. Calvin and Daniel were the first to come out of their room, shivering much like Mitchell and Celeste were.
"B-B-Buck?" Daniel was confused as to why an enemy was at their door, "What do y-y-you want?"
"It's dang cold!" he was quick to answer, "I'm giving everyone coats to keep them from freezing to death before I fix this mess. Here, take some guys!"
He tossed more winter clothes to the boys, Calvin looking a bit confused, but slipping into them anyways. He had a heavy duty, brown coat, green mittens, as well as a green beanie, complete with ear flaps. Daniel, on the other hand, got a grey coat, black gloves, and a purple beanie, which he put over his baseball cap, not bothering to take the first hat off.
"Thanks, Agent Bailey!" Calvin shook his hand rapidly, having escaped the cold.
"No problem-o! Now, just to help the girls."
As if on some sort of cue, Margaret and Blaster appeared from their room, the first shivering like crazy while the second appeared to be completely fine. Buck immediately tossed the coats their way, causing some confusion.
"What's th-th-this all about?" Margaret asked him.
"Put it on, save yerselves from the cold!"
Margaret shrugged, putting on a very fluffy white coat that looked puffy enough to sink into, matching fuzzy white gloves, and a black scarf, which she put around her neck while flipping up the hood to her jacket. As she got her relief from the cold, she noticed Daniel in his ensemble, immediately chuckling at his hat-astrophe.
"You look ridiculous!" she blurted out, causing some offense.
"Yeah, whatever," he replied, "I'm cozy!"
"Cozy and weird looking! Haha, come on Daniel, have some respect for yourself!"
"You know what? We're not doing this in front of everyone, come on."
As she laughed, he grabbed her by the hand, pulling her into the boys' room and slamming the door, causing Calvin to roll his eyes.
Confessional
"Ever since the last challenge," started Calvin, an annoyed look on his face, "Agent Diablo and Agent Anderson have been going at each other like animals! They keep arguing over stupid things, but what's the weirdest part is that they seem to want to argue in private to keep us from worrying about them. It's super fishy."
Confessional End
While the other three were still out in the hallway, Margaret and Daniel were making out with each other in the room, at the back wall with a chair barring the door shut. Suddenly, she stopped with a serious look on her face.
"You know, Daniel," she started, averting her eyes from direct contact, "I should let you know that I'm not just some sort of tough girl."
"Uh, duh?" he chuckled, "You're a lot more than that."
"Cute, but I'm serious. I'm just warning you so you don't find out later."
She pulled her right sleeve up, revealing a tattoo of a dead fish on her arm, akin to the one on her mech.
"I'm connected with the Diablo family, and I'm not some low ranking schmuck, I'm in charge."
"Huh? That's a funny joke, Margaret. I get it, your last name is Diablo so you're making a pun."
"What? No, I'm serious."
"Super serious, I'm sure."
"Come on, Danny, just listen to me."
"Oh, I'm listening, babe."
"Babe? I've never been called babe before, feels weird- wait a minute, hey! I'm trying to tell you something!"
"Aye aye, boss."
Confessional
"Daniel is cute, but he's such a bad listener," Margaret rolled her eyes, but she had a smile on his face. "Maybe that's why I like him...but I'm trying to warn him and he just refuses to see that I'm telling the truth."
"I'm dating a mob boss?" Daniel laughed it off, "Sure, and Calvin is actually the prime minister of Canada."
Confessional End
While all that was happening in the room, Blaster whistled inconspicuously as she didn't put on the coat from Buck, which raised some eyebrows from him and Calvin. She noticed their gazes and averted her eyes, trying to seem more inconspicuous.
"Why aren't you putting it on, Agent Coil?" Calvin asked, "It's freezing."
"Oh, I...um," Blaster thought to herself for a moment, "I just...am used to the cold!"
"But yer only in a tee shirt and shorts!" Buck looked her up and down, growing more and more confused by the moment.
"I'm just that used to it! It feels like a calm breeze to me, haha!"
"Okay, if you say so..."
Confessional
"I may have struck a deal with somebody to help me become more like a real cyborg," Blaster rubbed her arm in nervous awkwardness. "Don't judge me, I thought it was cool, and that my boyfriend would like it! Anyway, now I've got a heating and cooling system in my arm and leg, as well as some other cool gadgets!"
Confessional End
"Attention!" an unknown voice called from out of nowhere, not similar to Dana's or Chris's in the slightest. "All seven finalists please come to the library for some wooooooonderful news!"
"Huh?" Margaret tapped her head as she left the room she was in. "Who was that?"
"Dunno," Daniel shrugged, "Didn't sound like anyone we know."
"Not at all," Calvin pondered it. "I wonder what this could mean for us?"
"Only one way to find out!" Blaster cheered as she ran off into the distance, noticeably faster than she was ever before.
"What was that?" Buck asked, "She got jet boosters in them things?"
"I'm not sure, Agent Bailey," Calvin answered, narrowing his eyes at her, "I'm not sure."
After some time, the group managed to reconvene in the library, where no one had yet appeared to greet them. Celeste tried to comfort the solemn Mitchell, but to no avail, as he wept miserably. Buck looked over at his pal, a little confused as to why he was so upset. Calvin watched Blaster closely, waiting to see if he could glean some information on her upgrades. Hidden away near the back wall, Margaret and Daniel glared at each other while holding hands behind each other's backs.
"Where's this mystery person?" Buck asked, looking around each and every direction for where they could be.
"I don't know...me and Mitchy got here first, but haven't seen anyone other than you guys."
"Well, this is a load of-" Margaret was cut off by a high pitched voice from a strange figure in the doorway.
"Fun!" the voice cheered, revealing it to belong to a short-ish girl.
She smiled brightly as she approached the group, a clipboard in hand. Her outfit made her look like a professional doctor of sorts, owning a white lab coat with, what probably was, her own name "Dr. Devoe," embroidered on the left side of her chest. She had a green turtleneck sweater underneath it, though the coat wasn't buttoned up, so it could be seen clearly. She wore black skinny jeans that fit her nicely, with her sweater just barely coming over the waist, and black non-slip shoes to match. Her long, messy, dirty blonde hair bounced as she skipped happily to the center table, yet, her black, square-framed glasses and a pen behind her left ear held in place. She giggled as she waved to everyone, hopping on top of the table to better speak to the group.
"Ahem, hello! I'm Dr. Devoe, but since you all seem so nice and friendly, you can all call me Maggie!"
"Nice to meet you?" Daniel said questioningly.
"Where's Dana?" Blaster asked, "Or Chris?"
"Oh, I'm getting to that!" Maggie excitedly answered. "But before I do, I'd love to announce that, since you've made it all this way with the help of your beloved friends that are by your sides now, we're gonna crush your friendship and break up the teams!"
"Wait, really?" Celeste asked, frightfully. "But then I can't work with Mitchy..."
"Nope, you can't! Isn't that so exciting? You'll all be working on your own from this point on!"
"You said you'd have wonderful news," Mitchell said, still heartbroken.
"That is the wonderful news! I also have really, really bad news!"
"What could that possibly be?" Calvin implored.
"You guys...have been robbed!"
The crowd gasped at the words, though Mitchell had a hunch that that was the case.
"By who?" Margaret demanded, slamming her fist against the wall.
"Ah, I can't tell you guys that...because solving the mystery behind this is today's challenge! Should you prevail, and I mean the first person to figure it out, will get some invincibility in the elimination ceremony tonight! There is one exception winning this challenge: you only have to discover what happened to your things, not who stole them! I can list off the items that were stolen from each of you now, to give you all some sort of understanding of how bad this is! Mitchell, your book, though I'm sure you knew already! Celeste, your picture of-"
"NO!" Celeste growled at her, causing the other's to be afraid of her for a moment.
"Woah! Feisty, I love it! Going on, Daniel, your guitar!"
"What!?" Daniel quickly lost composure, "How'd you even see that? I never showed anyone!"
"Unnecessary! Margaret, info that would get you in a lot of trouble, printed neatly on a sheet of paper. You got that from a rat, I do believe!"
"How dare you!?" Margaret yelled at her, "What the hell is your problem!?"
"Me? I don't have a problem, I'm having a fun time! Going forward...Buck, your banjo, of course!"
"But why!?" Buck felt like he took a shot through the heart, "Why would anyone even want that?"
"Beats me! Calvin, your watch is gone! Snatched! Bamboozled!"
"Huh?" he looked down to his wrist, revealing that it was, indeed, missing. "But, how?"
"Haha, this is so cute! Last of all, a picture of your BF is outta your hands, Blaster!"
"No, not my Chet!" Blaster cried out.
"Yes, yes. The science on human behavior says that all it takes is one stolen personal belonging of value to be stolen to either anger or upset said person greatly! I'd like to test all of you to see if you guys are able to put that anger to good use and reclaim what was taken from you. I'm sure you guys can do it, we're besties after all!"
"Besties?" Daniel asked, still wondering what exactly was going on.
"Yep! Best friends! And since we're all besties, I figure that I should do something to give you guys help! Each of you cool cats gets to ask me one, that's right, one question relating to the mystery of the stolen items! They have to be yes and no questions, I won't answer anything defining the physical description of the culprit, I won't answer where the items are, I definitely won't answer who the culprit is, but pretty much everything else is fair game!"
"Wait, so you know where everything is?" a look of anger crawled onto Mitchell's face. "You stole it then!"
"Nuh uh! I did not, but I do know everything about who did, thanks to the cameras, of course! Anywho, I'm getting tired, so you'd better ask your questions now before I up and leave!"
"Only yes or no questions, right?" Calvin questioned the mysterious girl.
"Yes! And that was yours, silly! Shoulda used it for something better!"
"Wait, that wasn't supposed to be my-"
"Next! Come on, keep them coming!"
"Uh...uh...are they still in the dome?" Blaster asked hesitantly.
"That's kind of a where the items are question, but I'll let it slide. Yes, they are still in the dome. It is a huge dome after all."
"Was this planned from the start?" Buck asked, trying to maneuver and see if it had to do with the show itself. "As a challenge, I mean."
"That's a wonderful question! It most certainly...was not! This is all out of the blue!"
"Is the thief somebody we know?" Daniel posed his question to Maggie.
"I suppose you could say that, but you don't know them at the same time!"
"What does that mean?"
"If you solve the puzzle, you'll understand!"
"Okay, I've got one," Celeste interrupted. "Was everything stolen at once?"
"Of course...not! It would be hard for one person to nab all those things at once!"
"So you're saying nobody helped them?"
"Eep!" Maggie covered her face with her clipboard, hiding her embarrassment. "Looks like I gave you a really good answer! I'll have to stop myself next time!"
"Okay...I know my question," Mitchell quietly spoke, "Does the thief have something against us?"
"Bingo, bingo! Yes, yes, yes! A lot of things against you, I would say. Alright, last one! Margaret!"
"Hmm," Margaret took a deep breath, thinking of what the best question would be. "Got it. Was the thief a contestant?"
"Heheh," Maggie chuckled, "Do you really want me to answer that?"
"Yes. Answer it, now."
"Okayyyyyy. Yes! It was a contestant!"
Everyone's eyes widened as they shared glances between each other, trying to figure out which one of them could've possibly stolen from the others. Maggie couldn't help but applaud the group frantically.
"I love this game, this is exciting!"
"Which one of you dirty snakes stole our s$#%?" Margaret grumbled at the others, eyeing them down with a furious look on her face.
"Now, now!" Maggie interrupted her, "I'm not finished, because...ta da!"
The girl pulled three things from her lab coat, placing them on the table, which drew the group in to look at them. One was a crowbar, having a slight scratch on it where it had been used, another was a pair of black gloves, looking worn, and the last was, what seemed to be, a riddle. They looked at the items, puzzled as to their purpose.
"What is all this?" Daniel asked.
"Just looks like random nonsense to me," Calvin leaned in, though he gained nothing from the things.
"No, no!" Maggie laughed at them, "These are your clues! How can you solve a mystery without clues?"
"Hang on," Buck blurted out, "Isn't that my crowbar?"
Suddenly, all eyes were fixed on the boy. who didn't know what he said would incite everyone's anger.
"Oh, this is just great!" Maggie laughed some more. "That's all I got for you, the mystery needs solving, folks! Tata!"
With those mocking words, she happily hopped off the table and skipped her way out of the room. Eyes were still fixed on Buck, who backed up to the wall, fearful of what was to come from the intensity of the room. Mitchell suddenly broke the silence and the tension between the group.
"Now, I may not really sound too reputable in a situation like this," the writer gently spoke, "But I can tell you that it wasn't Buck. It couldn't have been because he wouldn't have been this sloppy."
"Nice to know that if he was robbing us, he'd do a great job of it," Blaster grumbled.
"Just listen to me. Buck is ingenious for the most part, he knows how to fix things, so I'm sure that he could easily take things apart."
"What do you mean by that?" Daniel asked.
"If he was going to break into my safe to steal my book, which the perpetrator did, he wouldn't have broken the safe's door. He would've made sure it was still in working condition. Whoever did this didn't have the know how to keep the safe working."
"He could've just been in a hurry," argued Margaret.
"He could've, yes, but this is his own room that we're talking about. He had all the time in the world, supposing that I wasn't there. And I can't imagine it would take him too long to fix something like a safe door. Besides, why would he leave his own crowbar behind? That screams sloppy planning."
"Agent Myers has some valid points about Agent Bailey, except for one thing," Calvin interrupted. "Agent Bailey was intent on fixing the broken window, which he mentioned several times. He could've forgot his crowbar around there, and used that as an excuse to get it back before anybody noticed."
The former Droids came to agree with each other on the matter, it making sense in their own minds. Buck felt his heart sinking deeper into his stomach by the minute, knowing to himself that he didn't do anything, but how would he prove it.
"Now, hang on!" Celeste yelled at them, grabbing their attention. "You haven't even taken the time to get a good look at the other pieces of evidence yet! One thing can't just incriminate Buck, you need a stack of evidence pointed towards him."
"Agent Sallow is right, we should take a crack at these other things before we make our judgement."
"Either way, isn't the goal to find our things?" Mitchell asked the group, reminding them of the challenge's purpose. "Not the thief?"
"Yeah, whatever," Margaret scoffed, "Let's get this stupid thing over with so we can send the hillbilly home."
"Hey!" Buck griped, offended by the comment.
"Let's see here," Calvin started, taking a look at the gloves. "I'm certain that these were the perpetrator's, perhaps to avoid leaving fingerprints behind. We should each put them on and see who they fit the best."
"Agreed," Blaster nodded, "They do seem rather large, though. I'm not sure they'll fit any of us."
"Well, let's test that theory out."
Calvin cracked his knuckles, taking the gloves that Buck gave him off before slipping his hands perfectly into the gloves from the evidence pile. They fit in everyway possible, no question about it, which raised an uproar from the crowd as the agent found himself as the center of attention this time.
"Calvin, what's going on, dude?" Daniel asked, nervous for his friend.
"Now it makes sense that you would try to pin it on Buck, to get yourself out of trouble!" Celeste argued.
"Hold on, they may fit more than just one person's hands," Mitchell added.
"No, Calvin's got the largest hands of all of us, it doesn't take more than a glance to see that," Margaret spoke, a hint of anger to her voice.
"But there is still one more piece of evidence that we haven't taken a look at yet," Buck intervened, grabbing the riddle from the table. "Ahem, 'A showdown between the dancing king and the mafia queen, the darndest thing you'd ever seen, people came to watch the scene, to watch them bet their souls.'" That's kinda odd, it doesn't really sound like a riddle at all."
"No, it doesn't," Blaster racked her brain, though not sure what to amount from this.
"Because it isn't a riddle," Daniel added, "Those are lyrics, from a person that we knew all too well."
"You don't mean...but he's gone!" Margaret sounded slightly fearful of the implication.
"You're right, he is gone," Calvin pondered, "But his enemies are not, it would make sense for some of the people here to have managed to steal them from his stuff."
"Who are you all talking about?" Mitchell asked the Droids.
"Garett," Daniel answered, "He was always super slimy, though I'm sure you all noticed at one point or another."
"You're telling me...he did a number on me back in that giant lizard challenge."
"So you have a motive for all of this?" Margaret hissed her words at him.
"Why would I break my own safe?" Mitchell answered the question with a question. "It would make more sense to be someone who got something more accessible stolen from them. They could've simply hid it with the stache to make them seem more believable."
"Yeah, Mitchy is right!" Celeste added to his argument. "Besides, I saw his safe, too. It is broken."
"You could be working together!" Blaster pointed out.
"No, Maggie said the person worked alone," Buck butted in. "Celeste wouldn't back Mitchell up if that were the case."
"So who would something stolen that would be easy to hide?" Daniel couldn't help but wonder.
"Let's think about it for a second," Calvin recalled the stolen items as he took the gloves off. "A guitar or a banjo would be bulky, hard to just steal or move out in the open. An incriminating document could be stuffed into a pocket pretty easily, and moved around well, though it may be bad for others to see it. A book wouldn't give to much trouble, just stuff it away in a pocket or hide it under a jacket to avoid being caught. A picture, in the case of Agents Coil and Sallow, is also easy to move around, though I do question why Celeste wanted no one to know about the picture in the first place."
"Yeah, what's the deal with that?" Margaret asked, leering at Celeste.
"It's...uh," Celeste looked away from everybody, trying to avoid being suspicious, but failing to do so.
"Tell us, or this is gonna look really bad for you soon."
"Okay, fine! It's a picture of..."
Her voice trailed off as she mumbled too quietly for anybody to properly hear.
"Of what?" Daniel questioned her quietness.
"It's...Mitchell in his swimsuit after he got out of the water."
"Whaaaaaaat!?" Buck found it hard to contain his shock.
Mitchell's jaw dropped, feeling a little more paranoid than ever.
"Why would you have that?" Mitchell asked, looking at her differently than he ever had.
"You looked so cute, I couldn't help myself!"
"That's like some stalker level stuff," added Calvin.
"I just thought he looked good, excuse me for having a crush on a boy."
"Whatever, something's still bugging me," Margaret interrupted.
"What's that?" asked Blaster.
"Why didn't Calvin mention what was stolen from him when he was bringing everything up?"
"Huh?" Calvin was a little taken aback by the sudden point.
"You never mentioned your watch."
"Now that you're bringing it up," Mitchell thought, still a little disturbed, "I guess it would be easy to take something with you that you wear all the time."
All eyes were fixed on Calvin once more, with now two hits against him.
"Come on, a picture could be kept in a wallet just as well," he argued.
"And I hate to say it," Daniel interrupted the tension, "But me and Calvin both had something against Garett in one way or another. We were ecstatic when he left."
"That's three things linking this crime to you," Buck pointed out, "That's a lot to be just a coincidence."
"But I...I didn't do..."
"Check his room, it has to be in there!" yelled Celeste.
"Fine, go ahead! You won't find anything though, because I didn't do it."
"Oh, we'll just see about that," Mitchell glared into his soul as the group left the library.
Confessional
"They're being ridiculous," Calvin shrugged it off, "I know that I didn't take anything, and they're gonna feel stupid when they don't find anything."
Confessional End
The group made their way to the former Droids' rooming area, standing in front of the door to the boys' room. Margaret was at the door, ready to open it, but somewhat scared of what it may prove. She opened it slowly, flicking on the lights inside shortly after.
"See?" Calvin asked, "Nothing."
"Check his bed," Celeste said, mercilessly.
"Privacy breach much?"
"Sorry, dude," Daniel patted Calvin on the shoulder, "You can never be too safe."
"Go on, just get this over with."
As the group of six started to pick apart his bed, looking for the missing objects, they found themselves at a loss, finding not one of the aforementioned items. They looked at each other, puzzled as to where the things could all be.
"Hang on...I think I see something," Blaster called everyone's attention to a square, almost door-like, cut in the wall.
Daniel and Mitchell grabbed at it, trying to pull it out, eventually succeeding and revealing a rather large hole with all of the items inside. The group was quick to grab their things as Calvin watched, shocked by the outcome. Maggie could be heard giggling by his side as she wrote something down on her clipboard.
"You found it all, bravo!" Maggie applauded, "Now, technically, even though Blaster did spot the hole, Daniel and Mitchell technically found the items themselves, so you're the winners of immunity tonight! Hurray for you guys!"
"But I didn't-" Calvin was quickly cut off by Margaret.
"Shut it, I don't want to hear a word."
Calvin looked down at the ground, clearly miserable, as the rest of the group, and Maggie, went away from the room, each contestant glaring at the boy, except for Daniel, who felt solemn as well. Everyone met back up in the landing room, where Maggie was with Chris and Dana now. The seven contestants were all growing tired at this point, though the leak of cold air had finally been fixed, so they at least had that going for them.
"Well?" Dana started, "How did all of you like our assistant? She usually does challenge design working, though we thought it would be fun to have her cheeriness around for this particular challenge."
"Eee!" Maggie squealed, "It was so much fun, right guys!?"
"NO!" the group shouted back at her, causing her to giggle.
"But that's beside the point, we've got an elimination ceremony to take care of, don't we Dana?" asked Chris.
"You're right," Dana adjusted her glasses and grabbed the plate of pilot's badges from Chris. "Here, we have six badges each one representing the safety from this dreadful challenge. When we call your name, know that you've been spared from elimination, and you won't have to worry about going home tonight. The pilot that doesn't receive a badge will, of course, have to head to the jet of shame and fly away from Cali-Tokyo, never to return. First, our two immunity winners: Daniel and Mitchell."
"Cool," Daniel said, sounding pretty upset about the whole thing as Margaret, though stone faced, rubbed his back so nobody could see her hand.
"Whatever, I got my book back! That's all that matters!" Mitchell cheered.
"...Celeste...Margaret."
"Oh, sweet!" Celeste said happily, ogling the picture of Mitchell that she had reobtained.
"Good," Margaret said, tearing the document to shreds.
"And...Blaster."
Blaster caught her badge happily, bouncing up and down in her seat.
"Which leaves...you two."
Buck and Calvin shared a worried glance, though they both knew what the outcome would be. Calvin sighed as the suspension could be felt throughout the room.
"The last badge here...goes to Buck."
Dana flicked the badge to Buck, who happily accepted it. Daniel couldn't help but feel a bit miserable, knowing that his friend was done for.
"Calvin, I'm sorry, dude," he said softly.
"It's alright...looks like this agent has been taking off of this case," Calvin replied, getting up from his seat and getting onboard the jet, waving goodbye to the, mostly, angry mob behind him.
It took off swiftly, leaving only the six contestants and the two hosts with Maggie. The doctor chuckled to herself as she thought about the whole scenario.
"What's so funny?" asked Margaret.
"Oh, nothing!" she answered, "It's just that this kinda sucks for poor Calvin, considering that he didn't steal anything!"
"Wait, he didn't!?" Celeste's face went pale, as if she had murdered somebody on accident.
"Nope, not even close! He's completely innocent in this, you all just happened to fixate the blame on him!"
"But...if he didn't, who did!?" Buck questioned the girl, who laughed it off.
"That, my bestie, is a secret! It's best you don't know that...yet."
As the group felt even more uneasy than before, Calvin sighed as his jet went off into the distance. He looked back on the dome, it being illuminated by the moon perfectly. He awed at the beauty for a moment, only to notice something odd shortly after. He saw the patchwork that had been done on the broken window, which wasn't too great, but it'd hold, as well as a lone figure on the roof of the dome, playing an acoustic guitar.
