Another sunny day in Cali-Tokyo was being disturbed by the ridiculous amounts of construction being done by Chris, Dana, and now, Maggie. After all of the massive constructs that they had seemingly put together, one would start to think that someone else was doing it behind the scenes. This time, it was a large span of different things, including a hurdle track, a discus throw, and other Olympic events that someone could watch at the actual Olympics. Maggie laughed as she sprayed Chris's hair with a water bottle, the man himself returning a glare to her. Her glasses lit up with green, pixelated, happy-looking eyes, while Dana bopped both of them on their heads with her fists.
"Last time on Total Drama Mega Mechas: oh no, the cast was robbed of their belongings! Somebody took their time to break into each room and take a belonging from everyone in the dome, breaking a window and escaping through it later on. It was a freezing night, so Buck tried to give everyone a hand by handing out jackets and gloves to those who needed them, which was everyone except for Blaster, who had seemed to have gotten some upgrades to her prosthetics. How curious? Who could've done that? Anywho, Daniel and Margaret still aren't open about their relationship, and their constant fake arguing was totally making Calvin angry. Celeste confessed her love to Mitchell, or should I say Mitchy, who had a hard time accepting the fact that a girl could like him. Eventually, our new helping hand, Maggie-"
"Hi, I'm Maggie!" Maggie interrupted Chris. "Me and the contestants are so besties now! I'm never gonna ever gonna let them tell anyone otherwise!"
"Maggie, shush!" Dana said, hitting her on the back of the head again.
"Ahem, Maggie introduced the next challenge to them, which was completely unplanned! They had to solve the mystery of the robbing with only the use of three clues that they were provided: a crowbar, a pair of large gloves, and some song lyrics. When Buck revealed that the crowbar belonged to him, some of the other team-"
"No teams anymore!" Maggie interrupted once again. "I split 'em up!"
"Maggie, stop it," Dana, once again, hit the back of her head.
"The ex-other team pointed the crime at him, though when the gloves were found to only be big enough for Calvin's hands, the blame shifted. Eventually, due to the song lyrics, from Garett, whom Calvin had a distaste for, the gloves that fit him all too well, and the item of his that was a stolen, a watch that could be easily moved from one place to another without suspicion, the group searched near Calvin's bed. The agent was adamant that there would be nothing there, but the quick search revealed a small hole in the wall with each and every missing item inside. Later on, the group voted Calvin out for his theft, only for Maggie to reveal that he wasn't the thief and that he had been framed! What a wacky turn of events. Know, will we ever manage to find the brains behind that heist? Will Mitchell accept his crazy admirer's love? Find out now on Total Drama Mega Mechas!"
The camera flew through the sky, going all the way down to the ground and into the dome, right in the center of a field inside.
"Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine," was heard as Buck was seen strumming a tune on his banjo happily while Daniel danced to the country tune wildly.
"You guys are on my mind," the camera swung past the two to show Caleb rolling his eyes while sitting at a table in the cafeteria. Larida was smiling cheerfully and patting the young looking gent on the head.
"You asked me what I wanted to be and I think the answer's plain to see," at a nearby table, Mitch was reading a book that he wrote to the ever-shy Celeste, who was happily listening to him.
"I wanna be famous!" Margaret ran past the two, startling them as a pair of security robots were chasing her.
"I wanna live close to the sun," suddenly, Margaret ran into Valerie and fell over, rubbing her head as the shy girl erupted in anger and the two started screaming at each other, scaring away the robots.
"So pack your bags, cause I've already won," the camera swung over to the outside of the dome, where Calvin was at the entrance, searching for clues of some sort, before waving to the camera with a bright smile and going stone-faced, realizing that he should be focusing on his task at hand.
"Everything to prove, nothing in my way, I'll get there one day," Yves was close by to the secret agent, watching him closely while keeping to herself and blasting an unsuspecting Garett with a water gun, as he was attempting to blast Calvin.
"I wanna be famous!" Blaster ran past the two, pretending to be a cyborg and blast some robots with her arm, only to knock over Brittany, who looked at the airhead angrily.
"Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na," the camera swung up to the sky, showing each and everyone's mechs being shot out of the top of the dome, with each person in them.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous! I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!" the light had faded from the sky and the camera showed the fourteen contestants in a jet takeoff room, seated in a circle while Chris and Dana stood in the center, each with mischievous looks on their faces.
Only six of the original group remained in the massive dome, and they finally all found the room to sit at one table together. Celeste, the girl who had an obsession with one of the stranger members of the cast, Mitchell, said stranger member who was always thinking that somebody was out to get him, Buck, the guy with a knack for solving problems like nobody else, Margaret, the most intense mob boss one could hope to never meet, Daniel, the wildest dancer in Cali-Tokyo, and Blaster, the psuedo-cyborg turned real cyborg. The tension from the previous challenge still lingered, but it was slightly lessened. They didn't know who could've stolen their belongings, and knowing that Calvin wasn't the culprit didn't make anyone feel better except for Daniel.
"Well, we've never really sat together before," Blaster started, speaking to the former enemy team. "It's nice that we don't have to be at each others throats for the time being."
"I wouldn't say that, Blaster," Margaret chuckled, "We're all enemies now, whether we want to believe it or not."
"I guess so," Celeste replied, "But that doesn't mean we can't be friendly with each other when there's no challenge."
"Riiiiiiiiiight," Mitchell said in a nervous tone, scooting slightly away from Celeste.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I'll never take a picture of you when you're not looking again!"
"Why did ya even want that?" Buck asked her. "Couldn't ya just have went swimming with him?"
"No," Mitchell answered, "I won't let anyone else swim with me, it's likely they'll try to drown me."
"That's not really a healthy way to think," Daniel added, a slight chuckle following it.
"It would be him, he'd drown me. He's trying to lull me into a false sense of security."
"What? No I'm not!"
"Are too, otherwise you wouldn't be so adamant on denying it."
"I'm not even sure how to reply to that, man..."
"Would ya drown him if I asked you to?" Margaret joked, though the dark tone of it caused the others to look at her weird. "What? It's a joke."
"Not funny, lady," Buck replied, frowning at her.
"Boohoo, looks like the comedy police are here at the table."
"Come on, Margaret," Daniel stopped her from getting too aggressive, "Not worth getting angry over it."
"Whatever."
"Aw, that's so sweet!" Blaster giggled, "Your boyfriend stops you from being all mean and stuff!"
"My what!?" she growled at her.
"Uh, me and Margaret aren't-" Daniel was cut off by Celeste.
"It's really obvious, you two," the girl said sweetly, "You look at each other lovingly and stuff, it's so cute!"
"What!?" Margaret slammed her fists on the table, "We don't do that!"
"You kinda do," Mitchell added, "Plus, you're not very good at hiding your make out sessions."
"We've never-"
"Okay, let's just go to another room before you explode, okay?" Daniel grabbed Margaret's hand, pulling her away from the group as she cursed at them.
"Hm...maybe I should make sure they don't cause any trouble!" Blaster happily stated before heading off.
"I'll join ya!" Buck followed after her, leaving only Celeste and Mitchell.
The room was awkwardly silent for a moment, with the boy looking in his book as he wrote things down here and there, and the girl staring at him as he did so. She waited for him to notice her, though he never looked up. He just stayed still and silent, working on his own devices.
"Uh...Mitch?" she called his name, sweating nervously.
"Hm?" he replied, barely looking up from his work.
"Did I ruin everything?"
"Huh?"
Mitchell looked up from his book briefly, noticing that Celeste looked more upset than anything. He sighed, closing his book and setting it aside.
"No, I guess not," he answered her, causing her to smile a little.
"You're not mad at me?"
"Hell yeah, I'm mad at you."
"Oh..."
"But it's kind of like having a creepy stalker girlfriend...which may seem horrible to some people."
"I'm creepy!?"
"Really creepy, you scare the crap out of me. I'm almost convinced you're gonna try to kill me."
"No, no! I wouldn't do that!"
"It's kinda cute, though."
"Cute?"
"Yeah, in a strange sort of way, it's cute. Yeah, you may kill me someday, but you're like crazy infatuated with me to the point that you'll sneak pictures of me while I'm minding my own business, and given the fact that any significant other could try to kill me at some point, I suppose a creepy one like in these amazing books would be way cooler."
"So, c-can I date you?"
"I guess-"
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Celeste pounced on Mitchell, hugging him so tight that he felt like he was in some sort of a vice grip.
"Okay, ow."
"I'm sorry, I'm just so excited right now!"
She hugged him even tighter than before, causing him to start losing his breath before she finally loosened her grip, dropping him on the floor.
"You know...you're surprisingly strong for your stature."
"Thank you!"
Confessional
"O-oh, this is so exciting!" Celeste cheered for herself with teary eyes, "I started out so quiet and shy, but thanks to Mitch, I was able to get out of that habit and become much more outspoken! Not only that...but we're dating now! This is awesome!"
"What have I done?" Mitchell asked himself, rubbing his sore back.
Confessional End
As the group had all gone their separate ways, they found themselves being soon called from the loudspeakers, per usual on a challenge day.
"Attention final six," Dana started, "Please make your way to the field to meet your patched up mechs and get ready for your next challenge."
"Oh, sweet!" Daniel cheered while trying to Margaret down, "That crazy Maggie lady is gone."
"Good riddance," Margaret replied with a huff, "Her attitude was annoying."
"Yeah, agreed. Let's go down there, shall we?"
"Yeah. But first-"
Margaret pinned him to the wall, kissing him aggressively as she usually did before dropping him back to the floor. He chuckled as he got up from the ground, dusting himself off.
"I needed that, these other competitors are driving me nuts."
"It's okay, babe."
"Babe? Didn't I tell you that that makes me feel weird?"
"Yeah, but I'm doing it anyways."
"You're a goon."
"Goon?"
"Yeah...well, I guess you're not like my goons, but..."
"Still going on about that mafia stuff?"
"It's not a joke, Danny."
"Sure, sure. I'll let you have your fun with it, it doesn't bug me."
"What would it have to take to get you to believe me?"
"I dunno, do some mob stuff?"
"I have been already, haven't you noticed?"
Daniel continued to chuckle, but he noticed that Margaret's face was completely serious, not a hint of a joke to it. He lost his laugh slowly, looking at her in question as she shook her head, seeming disappointed that it was taking him this long to realize what others had known already.
"What do you mean?" he asked her, still confused.
"What do I mean?" she let out one singular laugh, "I mean, isn't it obvious? Blackmail, for one. Threats, as another. You know how many of the saps here I've threatened to get things done right? And I know my way is right, as soon as we lost our weak links when we were a team, we did way better until we split up. Not to mention the fact that those guys who picked Garett up were my men."
"Wait...what?"
"I ordered them to teach him a lesson for trying to get one up on me. A lesson that he wouldn't even get the time to forget. Though it's weird...I haven't heard from them since they left."
"You're joking, Margaret. You can stop now, it isn't funny anymore."
"I'm not joking! I'm being honest with you. I expect honesty from you, so I give that same honesty back."
"...I don't..."
"...You're gonna break up with me now, right?"
Margaret didn't lose her stone face that she usually had, but she could clearly see the confliction in Daniel's mind in the moment. She sighed, sitting down against the wall and patting the floor next to her, ushering him to sit next to her. He sat about a foot away, uncomfortable from the whole situation.
"Figures, I should've imagined that anyone on this show wouldn't have the spine to date a mob boss."
"I don't know how to respond to this...I mean, I like you-"
"I like you, too. Not many people have the courage to stand up to me. You're a breath of fresh air, you know?"
"And you're interesting...I like how you've got a brain and a personality...not to mention-"
"Don't you dare say boobs."
"I wasn't gonna say boobs."
"Good, Garett mentioned them to me several times and it was fu %$ng annoying."
"I was just gonna say you're beautiful in general."
"Cute."
"...But you really lead a mafia?"
"Yeah. Only you know, though. And I'm only telling you because...well, obvious reasons."
"...Can you just give me some time to think about it?"
"Sure, why not?"
"Okay...well...let's go to the field now, eh?"
"Yep, to the field."
The two rose from their seats, heading off towards the field together while keeping their distance from each other.
Confessional
"I really don't know what to do now," Daniel looked down, scuffing his shoes on the floor as he spoke, "She's a great person...but that may be too much to handle for me."
"I like Daniel," Margaret assured everyone, "Let it be known that I would never let my men hurt him...unless he cheated on me, of course. No promises then."
Confessional End
The six met each other in the field, each looking around and waiting for the hosts to appear and introduce the challenge. Much to their dismay, when Chris and Dana finally appeared, Maggie was with them, clipboard in hand as she skipped alongside them. Daniel groaned at the sight while Buck let out a clearly annoyed sigh.
"Her again?" Buck asked, "What, are you all gonna make us get angry at each other again?"
"Oh, silly Buck!" she chortled as she hopped over to him, looking at him almost as if she was sizing him up, "We're besties, remember? Besties don't just leave besties behind!"
"Great," Celeste gritted her teeth, "So glad you're here."
"Please, help," Mitchell gasped as Celeste squeezed him to her side tightly.
"Uh, Celeste?" Blaster called her attention.
"Hm?"
"I think Mitchell needs air."
"Oh!"
Celeste giggled, letting go of Mitchell and allowing him to take in a deep breath, rubbing his back again.
"Gee, thanks," he mumbled as she repeatedly kissed him on the forehead.
"Ahem," Dana called everyone's attention. "Challenge time, people."
"Oh, right," Margaret rolled her eyes, "What's the torture today?"
"This one's gonna be a fun one!" Chris exclaimed, stealing the spotlight from Dana, who was about to announce it. "We've set up several Olympic events for you guys to partake in...in your mechs! You'll each get a chance to go up to the plate and prove yourself worthy of the "Olympian" namesake. Whoever-"
"It's my birthday, by the way," Dana interrupted, clearly peeved at Chris for not letting her do the challenge intro.
"Congratulations?"
"Happy birthday!" Blaster squealed.
"Why, thank y-"
Chris shoved her aside, once again taking the spotlight from her to continue what he was saying.
"As I was saying...whoever scores the most points will win a free trip to a Greek food truck that we've hired to serve you whatever you want! Oh, and immunity. You can't get eliminated if you score the most points in this challenge! On the other hand, anyone who doesn't score the most will be up for elimination tonight, which, of course, will be decided by yourselves."
"What are the events that you guys set up?" Daniel asked.
"Glad you asked!" Maggie intervened, smirking her devious smirk, "We have the giant hurdles of doom, the discus throw of pain, the long jump of despair, the weightlifting of agony, and the dash of misery!"
"They aren't called that!" Dana assured everyone, "They're just super-sized versions of those things."
"Boring, Dana," Chris let out a sigh, "It's not exciting if you don't make sure it'll torture them."
"I am not boring," the girl grumbled.
"Oh, you guys are a bunch of silly geese!" Maggie cackled.
"Alright, places people!" Chris continued, "Let's get this show on the road! I wanna get rid of one of you!"
The group rolled their eyes as they went to their mechs, which were now outnumbered by the menacing statues of the fallen contestants.
Confessional
"I don't think Chris really respects Dana," Blaster said, a sad look on her face, "I mean, it's her birthday and he wouldn't even let her introduce the challenge. That's kinda messed up."
"Man, really don't like that Maggie girl, not one bit," Buck grumbled. "Her happy-go-lucky exterior scares the crap outta me!"
Confessional End
As the last of the group got into their mechs, they were launched into the city, all landing near a different event. Buck ended up at the dash, which was a long track of some sorts with a clear finish line at the end of it. Mitchell and Celeste both ended up near the weightlifting set, with various massive dumbbells placed on the ground in the area. Margaret got the hurdles, which spanned out about half the distance of the dash, with each hurdle increasing in height as the track went on. Blast got the discus throw, which was on top of a building with many of the large discs set off to the side. Lastly, Daniel ended up at the long jump, which was along the mountain range. The starting point was at the top of the highest mountain, where the ring from the first challenge was still around. As the group inspected their surroundings, Chris spoke through a microphone, getting everyone's attention.
"So your mechs will automatically score your performance after you complete an event. You may not redo any of the events, so once you're done with one of them, you have to move onto the next event. The highest amount of points you can get for one of the events is three, the lowest being one. Make sure you try your best to win that trip to the food truck! Mmm, nothing's better than souvlaki from a hot truck!"
"Such a weird guy," Buck noted to himself as he took a look at the track in front of him. "So, I'm just s'posed to run this as fast as I can? Can't be too bad..."
Buck got his mech ready, which wasn't hard, considering that the thing was built with running things like this in mind. He pepped himself up for a moment, before finally hitting the gas and causing his mech to start running forward at an incredible speed. He barely took three seconds to cross the whole track, though when he came to a stop at the end of the track, it sent him flying forward into the metal walls of his mech. The AI voice from before suddenly came up inside of the mech, Buck remembering it from the teamwork challenge as he rubbed his now sore head.
"Congratulations, Buck!" the voice cheered for him, "Three points awarded for the dash!"
"Aw, sweet!" Buck cried out as he did a little happy dance.
Meanwhile, Mitchell was struggling to lift the two ton weight on the ground in front of him. He tried as best as he could, eventually being able to hold it above his mechs head for a solid four or five seconds before it fell to the ground. He felt like the lifting took an actual strain on him, though it may have just been the already existent muscle pain that Celeste caused him earlier.
"Nice job, Mitchell," the AI voice in his mech didn't sound nearly as enthusiastic as Buck's, "One point awarded for the weightlifting."
"What!?" Mitchell was taken aback, "How the hell do you get three points then!?"
"Yippee!" Celeste cheered nearby.
Mitchell glanced over at her, noticing that she was holding up the ten ton weight with ease. She tossed it to the ground in front of her mech, waiting to find out her score.
"Congratulations, Celeste!" her mech's voice exclaimed, "Three points awarded for the weightlifting!"
"Oh, this is amazing! How many did you get, Mitchy?"
"One," the boy grumbled.
"Oh...well, that's alright! There's still four other events, I'm sure you can find something to get three points on before the challenge is over."
"Sure, whatever."
Mitchell sighed, walking over to the next event in his mech as Celeste happily followed him in her own. Not too far away, Margaret was partaking in her hurdle track, managing to jump from hurdle to hurdle, only missing a few on her way. The few that she did miss were only by mere meters. She eventually finished the track, sitting down in her mech as if she had just worked out for an hour with no breaks.
"Jeez, Chris!" she started, huffing between her words, "Did you guys turn up the intensity inside these for this challenge?"
"Maybe," Chris quickly answered, his voice disappearing before she could ask him anything else.
"Great, just great."
"Very nice, Margaret!" her mech spoke to her, it's voice being a Brooklyn accent. "Two points awarded for the hurdles."
"Great, that's wonderful," Margaret huffed as she got ready to go to the next event.
As she began to walk, Daniel's mech landed in front of hers, doing somewhat of a superhero landing when it touched the ground. She looked off in the direction he came from, noticing that he came from the mountains in the distance.
"Dang," Margaret let out with a chuckle, "You really jumped far, eh?"
"Yeah, that one was super easy," Daniel answered as his mech rose to its feet.
"Congratulations, Daniel!" his mech announced, catching him off guard, "Three points awarded for the long jump!"
"Nice job, Danny," Margaret congratulated the boy, patting his mech on the back.
"Thanks, ba-...thanks, Margaret."
"...Whatever."
Margaret suddenly stopped what she was doing, not saying another word to him as she went onward to her next event: the discus throw. She saw Blaster atop the building nearby, who still hadn't finished up her own turn at the event. She watched as the girl's cryptid of a mech launched a disc into the distance, which flew too far to be seen by any of the group anymore.
"Oh, yay!" Blaster cheered, "That went far, huh?"
"Congratulations, Blaster!" her mech cheered, its own voice sounding just as giddy as her own, "Three points awarded for the discus throw!"
"Woohoo!"
"Yeah, that's great and all, Blaster," Margaret called up to her as she got closer to the building, "But can ya get a move on? I kinda wanna get this over with, now."
"Oh, yeah! Sorry!"
Blaster happily leapt down from the roof as Margaret, who gave off a somewhat upset aura, passed her by and climbed to the top. The bubbly girl couldn't help but notice it, questioning how to go about helping her.
"Uh...Margaret?"
"What do you want?" Margaret asked, coldly, as she threw one of the discs into the distance.
"Are you okay?"
"What?"
"Very nice, Margaret!" the voice in her mech called out, "Two points awarded for the discus throw."
"Gah, two points again?"
"Hello?" Blaster tried to get her attention again.
"I'm fine, thank you, not that you should be concerned with my wellbeing."
"Did you and Daniel break up?"
"What!? Why would you ask me that!?"
"I dunno, it seems like that would make you upset so I figured that's what this was."
"...I don't know, okay? I don't know if we are still together or not, now leave me alone."
"Do you wanna talk about it?"
"Why would I want to do that?"
Margaret scoffed at her, but she could sense the innocence in Blaster's want to make her feel better. She let out an annoyed sigh, hopping down from the roof and standing near Blaster as they both walked on to a different event.
"Fine, we can talk," the boss lady gritted her teeth as she said that, "But don't get any funny ideas about telling other people."
"I won't, I promise!"
Confessional
"Blaster is too innocent for a game like this," Margaret noted, "She's a sweet girl, but she seems like the kind that people could easily take advantage of. Makes me angry just thinking about it."
"Marge is gonna be my friend, now!" Blaster said, excitedly, "That's so cool, we're gonna be friends forever and she'll actually let me call her Marge!"
Confessional End
When Buck made his way to the weightlifting challenge, he found himself having some difficulty, as his mech was entirely armless. He tried to lift any of the weights with his mech's mouth, but then suddenly came up with the idea to use the chains he had built in to it.
"Well, here goes nothin'!" he shouted as he fired the chains out onto the five ton weight in front of him.
With the combined force of him using the mouth and chains, he was able to lift it up for about four seconds, before the chains ultimately broke and he dropped it to the ground. He earned himself another two points, feeling relieved that he had yet to receive a one yet.
"Now, where to next?" he pondered to himself, looking at the three events that he still had to compete in.
He eventually decided on the hurdles, thinking it would be just as easy as the dash that he had done previously. He headed on over to it, noticing that Mitchell was at the end of it, looking down at the ground with his mech, conveying a tone of misery, as Celeste's patted his on the back.
"It's okay, Mitchy!" Celeste assure him, "There's still three events you can score some points in!"
"What's the point?" he asked her, sounding as miserable as he looked, "You've gotten two threes so far and I've only gotten-"
"Congratulations, Buck!" an AI voice nearby called out, "Three points earned for the hurdles!"
"Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt!" Buck apologized as Mitchell sent a glare his way.
"Watch out!" Celeste cried out to Buck, pushing his mech out of her way and grabbing a stray discus.
"Woah, where did that come from?" Mitchell asked, surprised that someone had thrown it at someone other than himself.
As the three looked around, they noticed Daniel atop the building with the discus throw, each of them glaring as they approached it. They eventually made it to the building, climbing to the top to notice Daniel's mech, though he didn't great them or apologize for the accident, which was completely out of character for him.
"Hey, what gives?" Buck asked the former enemy, "Ya almost hit me just now!"
No response came from Daniel, though some music did turn on, coming from the back of the mech.
"What are you doing?" Mitchell asked, "Trying to tune us out?"
"Not cool, you should apologize to Buck!" Celeste growled at him.
While the three spoke to the mech, receiving not a single word in response, Margaret and Blaster noticed the group of four on top of the building as they were at the mountain for the long jump. They could hear the music, despite their distance from the group.
"Huh, Daniel's playing tunes!" Blaster said, sounding all giddy.
"Yeah, he is...but that's odd," Margaret replied.
"Whaddya mean?"
"He only plays music from his mech if he's going top fight people, some sort of skill or something. Why would he be picking a fight with them?"
"I dunno...maybe you made him really mad and he's trying to take it out on them?"
"He wouldn't do that...unless...he isn't even in control."
"Why wouldn't he-"
"No time to answer, gotta go see what's up!"
Margaret was quick to leap from the mountain, landing somewhere in the city and ignoring her mech as it let her know that she had just scored another three points for the jump itself. Atop the building, Daniel's mech had taken a fighting stance, almost teasing the other three and trying to get them to come at him.
"Dude," Mitchell said with a sigh, "We don't have time to play right now."
"Yeah...you're being really weird," Celeste added.
"What's up with ya?" Buck asked, coming slightly closer to the mech facing him.
As he came within a close enough distance, Daniel's mech grabbed Buck's, tossing him straight off the roof and through the mass amount of hurdles set up throughout the city. Celeste and Mitchell gasped, both looking over at Buck in worry.
"Buck!" Mitchell cried out, "What the hell is wrong with you!?"
Daniel's mech quickly sent a kick into Mitchell's, sending the boy flying into the pile of discus that was set up on the roof. Celeste angrily took to a fighting position as well, sending a barrage of metallic punches the enemy's way. Mitchell slowly rose from the pile to watch what was going on between the two, noticing the foot on Daniel's mech glowing bright blue as he blocked the punches from Celeste's.
"Wait...Celeste, no!"
Without a moment to spare, Mitchell dashed between the two, receiving a powerful kick from the aggressor, kicking the boy out of his own mech and flying through the sky, causing Celeste to panic and fly after him.
"Mitch!" she cried his name as she left the enemy behind.
Daniel's mech stood triumphantly on the building alone, until Margaret's came up behind it and pinned it to the ground with enough force to keep him down.
"Alright, you're done fu $%#g around!" she grumbled at him, "I'm coming in to talk some sense to you."
As she shut her mech off, its weight kept Daniel's mech pinned to the roof. She descended from her room inside of hers, heading to the entrance of Daniel's and tearing the door off with her bare hands. While she entered, she could almost feel as if somebody stealthfully passed her by. When she turned to look at the door, nobody was there, but she still felt an ominous presence. She approached the room where Daniel was, only to find him tied to the chair in it with a blindfold covering his eyes.
"Oh my god, Danny!" she called out to him, running over to help.
She quickly tore the ropes holding him together and the blindfold off of him. He slowly opened his eyes, noticing her worried expression before anything else. She hugged him tightly, not letting him speak as he was muffled by her shoulder.
"Who did this?"
"I don't know," he replied when she finally let him go, "I got knocked out soon after you left the hurdles...and when I woke up I was all tied up. Couldn't see anything through the blindfold."
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine..."
"Good...whoever did this went crazy, they attacked everybody around them."
"Is anyone hur-"
"MITCH!" Celeste's voice could be heard all over the island.
Margaret quickly helped Daniel up from his seat, taking him with her back to the roof of the building so they could see what was going on. It was hard to tell, but Celeste was holding a clearly injured Mitchell in her Mech's hands as Dana, Chris, and Maggie appeared in the helicopter nearby. Celeste hurried out of her mech, sliding down to where the hand was, and kneeling next to Mitchell.
"Oh my god, oh my god, oh god, oh god," she started to panic.
"Okay," Mitchell groaned, "This really hurts."
"Alright, everyone clear out!" Dana yelled at Buck and Blaster, who were watching nearby.
"Ooo!" Maggie squealed, sounding super excited about the grave situation, "I can use this for my research!"
The two girls descended on the helicopter's ladder, eventually taking a position in the hand that Celeste and Mitchell were in.
"Okay, horror boy!" Maggie giggled as she spoke, "What does this feel like?"
She squeezed his clearly broken elbow, causing him to let out a squeak before Celeste slapped her hand away.
"Not good!?" Mitchell griped at her.
"Interesting, fascinating!"
"What's wrong with you?" Celeste gritted her teeth, "Why would you touch him where he's clearly injured?"
"Uh, science?" Maggie snorted as she laughed.
"Maggie, you're messed up," Dana rolled her eyes at her, "We're gonna have to take Mitchell out of the game and to a hospital."
"What!?" Celeste screamed, "You can't do that, he was cheated! Daniel hurt him-"
"First of all," Maggie interrupted with a tone of superiority, "Daniel was actually unconscious for this whole ordeal! Second, you all signed a waiver allowing yourselves to be removed due to injury and not sue so long as we pay for your hospital bill!"
"How do you know that he was-" Mitchell was cut off by the laughing scientist.
"I know everything, to put it simply!"
"Well, who was it?"
"It was-" Dana, this time was cut off by Maggie.
"No, no!" she waved her finger in her face, "Don't go ruining the surprise!"
"Ugh, you really are crazy, Maggie."
"Thanks!"
"So this is it?" Celeste asked with teary eyes, "He just loses now?"
"Yeppers!"
"That's so-"
"Okay, at this point, I don't care!" Mitchell shouted, still unable to move his broken body, "Just take me to the hospital!"
"Alright, but calm down," Dana answered his demand, "Don't stress your body too much."
"Wait!" Celeste stopped the girls before they could put Mitchell onto a gurney. "We never got to have our first kiss yet!"
"Celeste, if you kiss me it's gonna hurt me."
"Oh...I see."
Celeste sighed, somehow making her eyes look like puppy-dog eyes with the tears. Mitchell, noticing this, rolled his eyes at her.
"Fine, you can-"
"Oh, yay!" she squeaked happily.
Immediately, she rushed over and kissed him passionately, which was amazing for herself, but it could be seen that he was clearly in a lot of pain. She finally broke the kiss, Mitchell groaning in pain as Maggie laughed at him and the girls took him to the helicopter. Buck and Blaster met the girl, who still had teary-eyes, though she was slightly happier now.
"You alright?" Blaster asked her.
"Yeah...that's my boyfriend!"
"Is he alright?" Buck questioned.
"Nope! ...Wait, that's a bad thing! Mitchy! Get better so I can make out with you soon!"
Mitchell groaned more before the helicopter took off, leaving the group of three below. Daniel and Margaret could barely see what happened, but they had some guesses as to what it was exactly.
"This is messed up," Margaret started, "Someone framed Calvin, and now they're trying to frame you. Who could it be?"
"I don't know, but it has to be one of the contestants, right?" Daniel answered, rubbing the back of his head.
"Yeah, Maggie did say that a contestant did the theft, so it's probably likely that they did this, too."
"Yeah...uh...by the way, I thought about it."
"Oh...you're done with me, right? Don't worry, I won't take offense. My men might, though. I'll keep 'em off your back."
"That'd be nice...but it's not really necessary."
"Whaddya mean by that?"
"...I don't wanna break up with you."
"You don't!?"
"Nah...you seem like one of those once in a lifetime girls that they talk about on television and that jazz. I'd hate to pass this up...on one condition."
"A condition? I don't like conditions..."
"Just don't involve me in your mafia business."
"Oh...yeah, I can agree to that."
"So...what now, babe?"
"Well," Margaret looked down with a smile on her face, "This roof is kinda romantic...we could...I dunno...dance...if you wanna."
"Dancing!? You wanna dance!? Hell yeah, let's do it! Tango? Waltz? Rumba? What kind of dance?"
"Something easy, guy! I'm new to this!"
"Okay, okay. I'll lead!"
With those words, Daniel grabbed her hands, pulling her in close and kissing her as the sun started to set.
Author Notes:
*I believe this is my first contestant ever eliminated by injury, even in Space Station I haven't done that. Anywho, it was said to give Mitchell the boot, his paranoid tendencies were really fun to use for the story. Credit to the paranoid man for surviving a crazy stalker and this insane show for over half its run, though.
*Placements: 14th - Theodore; 13th - Brittany; 12th - Valerie; 11th - Caleb; 10th - Larida; 9th - Garett; 8th - Yves; 7th - Calvin; 6th - Mitchell
