TDNKCI: Episode 15: "Make My Own Meal Ticket"

The Jury's Recap

"Last time, On Total Drama Nui Kaua: The Cursed Island.." Kyle looked down the steadily more populated Jury bench toward Aleister, the most recent arrival.

"Ohhh, let me tell you" Aleister got ready to spill the deets.

"While I tried desperately to get my alliance back together, I also tried just as desperately to find cracks in the Demon's alliance. Strangely enough, it seems like Tori and Sherwood found the cracks, namely Freya and Azami respectively, and while both of them voted with me against Barnard, though not out of loyalty and clearly for their own reasons, the Demon alliance stood strong with Freya and someone else who I'd have to guess is Lucien, and voted me off of the game. Which, by the way, is totally silly."

"Yeah I can see why you'd think that." Samuel nodded.

"I mean, that curse was just...cruel." Antonio agreed.

"To think the four people that actually faced their fears were the ones who'd be vulnerable…" Twilight nodded with her arms crossed.

"And what's worse is because we successfully completed the challenge, now Tori is stuck on Weliweli with Barnard and Jaime who are very very quickly becoming a power duo."

"Yeah, but how powerful are they really?" Kaden wondered. "Azami and Freya aren't exactly the most loyal fruits in the basket."

"Gotta disagree with you there." Lena spoke out. "I don't like either of them, but they're both fairly loyal, it's just that after a season of being treated like shit, they're not about to let anyone get away with using and losing them."

"I actually kind of want to see how the Mummies handle this." Aleister shifted the subject. "They could feasibly bring Sherwood in with them to tie up the numbers."
"The problem is if they can unite themselves." Kyle sighed. "Tori usually does her own thing, Lucien's motives are still pretty inscrutable and Daniel clearly wants to spend as little time with either of them as possible."

"The way I see it, there are the three Demons…" Kaden motioned with his arms to make this clear for the whole jury bench. "And then everyone else is on their own technically. I'll bet my bottom dollar Barnard is going to say some shit and drive Freya away from the alliance."

"I don't see Jaime and Azami sticking together if that happens either." Samuel interjected. "Right now, I'd say the most likely to go home are Barnard, or the two remaining returns, the Banshees."

"Sir Standalone and Valkyrie eh?" Twilight thought to herself. "They definitely aren't on the best of terms with each other, so I think we can rule that kind of alliance out of the question."

"I guess only time will tell who the next bells will toll for." Aleister shrugged as he looked at the camera. "Find out with the rest of us, right here…" He waited for the rest of the jury to join in.

"On Total Drama Nui Kaua!...The Cursed!...Island!"

*Total Drama Theme Song Plays*

Location: Mt. Immolate Cavern

Contestant(s): Azami, Daniel, Lucien

Azami, Daniel, and Lucien were all blatantly combing the Mt. Immolate cavern for the Curse Tiki, but none of them were having any luck.

Confessional: Azami

"Ugh, I don't even really think we need this tiki, but I know that Jaime and especially Barnard aren't going to let me hear the end of it if I tell them that I didn't look at all. And I suppose I'd rather not let a Mummy get it either if we can all help it. Still, if I find that thing, the first thing I'm doing is tossing that loser's crutch into the lava."

End Confessional

While Azami scrambled, Daniel confronted Lucien.

"I know it was you, that swing vote." He sighed. "Time to either explain yourself or prepare to get voted off next. I don't have time for your unpredictable BS anymore."

"You want to know why?" Lucien smiled as the two continued looking for the Curse Tiki separately.

"I'm working the Jury. They saw my confessional saying I wouldn't oppose Freya for a round, and if my confessionals become lies, well, I don't see them wanting to give me the money."

"Situations can change over time." Daniel rolled his eyes.

"You simply fail to chance with them."

"You're both a couple of failures in my eyes." Azami snickered.

"That makes you afraid of us then?" Lucien smirked back.

"I-..." Azami rose a brow for a moment before shaking her head and coming back to her senses.

"I was trash talking you Mummy losers. Thought that was obvious!"

Confessional: Daniel

"Ugh. Final 8, and I still have to deal with her, with Lucien, with Freya, with Tori...Thankfully she and the actually threatening Demons are all stuck on Weliweli so I don't have to deal with them for a while."

End Confessional

Daniel groaned under his breath as Lucien continued doding insults from Azami and twisting her words to make them less insulting and more appreciative of him.

"These undesirables…" He mumbled as he moved from stalagmite to stalagmite.

"Look, just-" Azami groaned loudly at Lucien. "Just go back to searching for your little Curse Tiki, I'll give you losers the day to scour the cavern to give you a fighting chance against me. I'm going to go find the one member of my alliance not trapped on Weliweli and formulate a game plan."

"Hey, hey, I voted with you guys too!" Lucien put a hand to his heart. "Can't I come too?"

"Please, go." Daniel pleaded.

Location: Kahakai Beach

Contestant(s): Azami, Freya, Lucien

"Ugh!" Freya stomped her heel down in frustration. "Where the hell is this Curse Tiki, Chris? Did you even freaking hide it?"

"Hey, hey!" Lucien smiled. "There's our valkyrie, how you doin' today?"

"Irritated, how does it look like I'm doing?" Freya snapped back. "We haven't had a decent day in weeks, you and your gambling girlfriend keep flip-flopping votes based on what I can only assume is whimsy, and the Curse Tiki, for all I know, has sprouted wings and flew away!"

"Wait!" Azami perked up. "A big bird of prey could have, like, totally made off with the Curse Tiki, it's small enough to be carried like that!"

"I uh...I suppose that's worth...considering…" Freya began to calm down as she saw her exaggeration being taken seriously. "But I might just be frustrated because Lucien here is clearly attempting to play both sides."

Confessional: Lucien

"Pffft. Like she isn't. If there is anyone left who isn't at least attempting to play more than one angle, I think that person is next to go home."

End Confessional

Confessional: Freya

"Not even going to try to deny to you guys that I'm ready to ditch the Demons at the first sign of trouble, because I think I'd be on a pretty clear bottom sticking with them, and I didn't sign up to place fourth, I signed up to win."

End Confessional

Confessional: Azami

"Speaking of playing both sides, I should always keep Sherwood in the back of my mind. He very clearly doesn't want to go home. Freya obviously isn't loyal to Barnard because she's not stupid. That's three votes right there, I don't even have to ask them to unite with each other, I can just talk to the two of them separately. And I do have someone I want out of the game too, you know!"

End Confessional

"Well, thanks for coming as extra pairs of hands in any case." Freya sighed. "We might as well use this time to discuss how we're going to move forward."

"Right!" Lucien smiled. "I think we can all agree that Sherwood needs to go next, right?"

Confessional: Lucien

"If I want my jury votes, he's my only option right now!"

End Confessional

"For now, he's the one I want gone." Freya put a hand to her chest before staring Azami down. "Your group will be okay with that, right?"

"I dunno, they act like we're all a big trio but it's clearly just the two of them. Not that I care, I'm more down to move forward with you and leave them in the dirt."

Confessional: Azami

"Because Freya is a returner. I think these other guys are overestimating that status. Of course some returns will do well, it's their second time here. That's not as impressive as making it to the end on your first run with no small amount of immunities under your belt."

End Confessional

"Ooof." Lucien shuddered. "If I thought what you guys were saying was true, I'd feel a little bad for Barnard and Jaime, but, well...the votes are what don't lie, and the votes say you four are pretty united."

Location: Nui Kaua Beach

Contestant(s): Daniel, Sherwood

"You held up your bargain a while ago." Daniel approached Sherwood as he was combing the beach for a second time, just in case.

"Yes. Shame it didn't pay off in the end. Or the last vote for that matter."

"Eh, figures the votes wouldn't be going my way." Daniel shrugged. "I've come here with another deal offer. We both vote for your target tonight after whatever challenge Chris makes us perform like circus monkeys. Then, if you find the Curse Tiki, you hand it over to me."

Confessional: Daniel

"Sherwood is on the bottom of the bottom right now. Even I, as unliked as I am, still have my title as a Mummy to give me some relative safety in numbers with Tori and Lucien. Sherwood however, has forsaken his former teammate and she very clearly is not about to forgive him. This makes him the easiest ally to manipulate."

End Confessional

Confessional: Sherwood

"That Curse Tiki is powerful, but assuming I can get rid of a Demon, or at least someone chaotically inclined, I should be able to manage without it. It's voting power I really need, and that's what Daniel has to offer."

End Confessional

Location: Merge Cabin Boys' Side

Contestant(s): Daniel, Freya, Sherwood

"Hello, boys." Freya crossed her legs as Daniel and Sherwood walked into their side of the merge cabin. She motioned to two chairs she'd arranged so that they all faced each other in a triangle. "Have a seat."

Daniel and Sherwood both exchanged glances, but sat down.

"I'll cut to the chase." She turned to Daniel. "I know you're behind Sherwood's voting for me during the public confessional ceremony. Fuck you for that."

Daniel sighed.

"Is that all?"

Freya thought to herself for a moment.

"For you? Yes. But if you want to stay here for what I want to speak to Sherwood about you can."

"Meh." Daniel shrugged as he slouched in his chair.

"Now, you…" Freya stood up from her seat and slapped Sherwood across the face.

"You thought I wouldn't notice your footprints at Kahakai?"

Sherwood cocked his head in confusion.

"What's this?" Daniel rose a brow.

"He has it." Freya crossed her arms.

She held out small bits of paper and let them fall to the ground. "These soot-stained scraps are all I could grab from the coal bed. He clearly found the Curse Tiki and tried to dispose of the evidence."

Daniel looked at Sherwood.

Sherwood looked back and shook his head.

"Nice try, but he doesn't have it." Daniel yawned. "If that was all, I think I'll leave now."

"Watching the two of you." Freya motioned to Daniel and Sherwood. "As long as I'm around whatever it is you're planning isn't going to work."

Confessional: Daniel

"So Freya's losing it...figures."

End Confessional

Confessional: Sherwood

"The Bloody Banshee at her bitchiest."

End Confessional

Confessional: Freya

"Whew...okay...I ought to have cultivated enough animosity from both of them in that encounter that they'll aim for me tonight if I don't win immunity, which should split the vote because no way would Tori get rid of me after our conversation last week. This should help me decide who goes home. Not to mention, it's nice to have confirmation that neither of them has found the Curse Tiki either, and the way they looked at each other, they very clearly are going to work together again, so that's some bonus information as well. Heehee, it's way more fun to trick people who deserve it than small fish!"

End Confessional

Location: Weliweli Island

Contestant(s): Barnard, Jaime, Tori

"Aww, Luci…" Tori hummed to herself as she walked along the shores of the island and noticed all the filled in holes. "Of course they aren't going to hide it in the same spot twice…"

Confessional: Tori

"Last ceremony, I voted Barnard. He has to go because he's too locked into a safety net alliance. It's nice and I'm happy for him, but when his votes are going to be so obvious...Sherwood now, next it'll be me or Lucien, then the other, then it'll be Daniel, then it'll be Freya. Like...ugh, how boring and predictable of him. Soo, I decided to use the dead forest to my advantage and spy on him and Jaime all week when they think I'm actually scrounging for food."

End Confessional

As Tori ducks behind a dead tree, Barnard and Jaime start to talk strategy as they see Chef's ferry starting up in the distance.

"He's coming to get us soon." Barnard realized. "We should formulate a plan for if Sherwood wins immunity."

"I mean…" Jaime yawned. "Azami and Freya are the ones on the island, we should let them take charge this time, we don't have the ability to socialize with anyone other than Tori and she…"

"Yeah, she doesn't seem keen on majority alliances at all." Barnard agreed.

Tori silently nodded from behind her spying tree.

"Well that leaves us with mummies to choose from if we want to remain on good terms with Freya the whole way through." Barnard reasoned while Tori rolled her eyes at her correct prediction.

"I guess Lucien. He might have voted with us at the last ceremony, but he's been pretty unreliable so I don't know how much we can trust him."

Confessional: Barnard

"Then after him, I suppose Tori also fits that unpredictable nature. Assuming Sherwood wins immunity of course, he's still our number one right now."

End Confessional

"I think that you're overthinking things." Jaime rolled her eyes. "Let's put some trust in the people we let into our alliance and see where the chips fall. We might be able to take out a real threat."

Confessional: Jaime

"I actually really need Barnard to chill with the plans. If we get to that Final Jury vote, I want to have some plays of my own to reference, he can't get all the glory!"

End Confessional

"Alright, everyone get in, we're goin' back!" Chef announced. "Chris's telling the others to meet at the Po'ino pit for the challenge right now!"

Tori joined up with Barnard and Jaime as they hopped into the boat that had just arrived.

"Starting at Po'ino huh?" She grinned. "Sounds like a fun time."

Location: Po'ino Bonfire Pit

Contestant(s): Azami, Barnard, Daniel, Freya, Jaime, Lucien, Sherwood, Tori

Jury Present: Kyle, Antonio, Kaden, Samuel, Lena, Twilight, Aleister

"Welcome Final 8!" Chris announced as all the remaining contestants gathered around the Po'ino Bonfire pit. "To the second ever…"

He gestured towards a large makeshift stage.

"Nui Kaua Idollllllll!"

"You...have got to be kidding me." Daniel looked up at the stage in horror.

"Oooh!" Jaime's eyes lit up. "I remember this challenge from when I watched Zero Sum! I know exactly what I'm going to do! Doesn't even matter whose judging."

"Oh, it doesn't, does it?" Chris grinned. "Because instead of flying in the same judges as last time...We've already got seven judges freshly eliminated from the game! Bring them in Chef!"

Chef grumbled as he paraded in with the Jury members.

"Howdy guys!" Kyle waved. "Psyched to be able to talk to you after so long!"

"Doing well guys…" Antonio smiled. "Don't get cold feet now."

"It's a pleasure to be able to speak to most of you again." Kaden gave Azami a glare, which she returned.

"You better make listening to these songs worth my surprise elimination!" Samuel joked.

"I still don't quite want any of you to win, but if you can give me a good reason in your songs, you should." Lena warned.

"Respect to all eight of you." Twilight bumped her chest with a fist. "Let's see you impress me."

"Ahhh, how the tables have turned." Aleister smiled at the Final 8. "I hope you enjoy being judged by the jury openly today."

"So...this is the same rules as Zero Sum's Nui Kaua Idol challenge?" Freya asked with a hand in the air.
"That's correct, Freya!" Chris nodded. "But, for those of you who haven't competed on or watched Zero Sum, allow me to give a brief explanation. The eight of you will be given time to prepare songs and backup singers (from among our interns), then in a randomly determined order, you will perform your singles for the Jury Judges. After every last one of you has performed, the judges will deliberate who to award Immunity to and announce it. Of course, nothing is stopping them from simply playing favorites, so your songs might need to be convincing if you feel they might ignore you based on their principles. Any questions?"

Jaime raised a hand.

"Do the lyrics have to be original?"

"Well, not technically no…" Chris shrugged. "But it might be poor form to-"

"No, it's fine." Jaime's eyes sparkled with purpose. "Now I know exactly what I'm going to do, even more."

No one had any other questions.

"Well…" Chris looked at the Final 8. "Get cracking! We'll meet back here at sunset so it can give you guys enough time to practice!"

Performance 1: Sherwood: "Stuck Here" Parody of "Beat It" by Michael Jackson

"Last Season

I was voted out of here first

Lost before I had a chance

To even hit the dirt

An alliance wrote my name

and my pride was really hurt

But I'm here.

Now I'm here.

I'll fight I'll run,

I'll do whatever I can

Don't wanna leave the game,

In that same way again.

It's gonna be tough,

I'm a resilient man

So I'm here

but the bottom is bad

I'm stuck here (stuck here)

Stuck here (stuck here)

Being voted out's a real fear.

I'd rather get cursed.

I'd rather tie.

All that I want now

Is to survive..

Still stuck here (stuck here)

Still stuck here (stuck here)

Still stuck here (stuck here)

Still stuck here (stuck here)

They'd go and vote me,

That's assuming they could

Don't wanna trust others,

I don't know if I should.

I don't care about 'bad',

I don't care about 'good'

I'm stuck here,

Just stuck here.

I hear all their threats

I pretend I'm not scared

I'm danglin' vote to vote

This ain't no truth or dare

They'll give names

then write others

they'll say "in war, it's fair"

I'm stuck here,

But the bottom is bad

I'm stuck here (stuck here)

Stuck here (stuck here)

Being voted out's a real fear..

I'd rather get cursed.

I'd rather tie.

All that I want now

Is to survive.

Still stuck here (stuck here)

Stuck here (stuck here)

Being voted out's a real fear.

I'd rather get cursed

I'd rather tie.

All that I want now

Is to survive..

Still stuck here (stuck here)

"Stuck here (stuck here)

Being voted out's a real fear.

I'd rather get cursed.

I'd rather tie.

All that I want now

Is to survive...

I'm stuck here (stuck here)

Being voted out's a real fear (come on)

I'd rather get cursed.

I'd rather tie.

All that I want now

Is to survive...

Still stuck here (stuck here)

Stuck here (stuck here)

Being voted out's a real fear (oh no)

I'd rather get cursed.

I'd rather tie.

All that I want now

Is to survive.

I'm stuck here (stuck here)

Stuck here (stuck here)

Being the bottom's a real fear.

I need some good curse

I need a tie.

Immunity will

Help me survive

(I'm stuck here)"

As Sherwood finished up his performance, the jury judges all clapped for him.

Kyle, Antonio, Lena, and Twilight seemed to enjoy it the most.

Performance 2: Tori: "Games Just Need To Be Fun" Parody of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper

"Po'ino,

In the fire's light

The host man says 'The last crystal ball of the night,'

Oh, host man Chris I don't want my time to be done.

But games, they need to be fun

Oh, games just need to be fun

With Mummies,

In the middle of the night

Our shelter creaks, having trouble sleeping alright.

Oh, muscle man your hut is still number 1

But games, they need to be fun

The game just needs to be

That's all I really want

Some fun

When the luck I have is gone

Oh please, just keep the game fun.

Oh, please just keep the game fun.

(Games, they should-)

(Games should be fun)

(Games, games should be-)"

*instrumental break*

"This show is

A beautiful game

And I don't even mind all of the rough rain!.

I'd love to be the one to bring back the sun!

But games just need to be fun.

The game just needs to be

That's all I really want

Some fun

When the luck I have is gone

Oh please, just keep the game fun

Oh, please just keep the game fun

When the luck I-

When the luck I have is gone (the game should be-, the game should be-)

Oh, when the luck I have is gone

Oh please,

Please just make the game fun."

As Tori finished up her much more energetic performance than Sherwood's, the jury once again erupted into applause.

Kyle, Kaden, Samuel, and Aleister seemed to like it the most.

Performance 3: Daniel: "Also Human" Parody of "Almost Human" by Voltaire

"What

Did I ever do so bad?

I can't be treated this way!

Last I checked it was no crime

For a cynic to speak his mind.

In time,

I'll snuff out all their lights.

If I were some 'hero',

I needn't try

But since I'm not some 'hero'

I have to try

What

Did I ever do so wrong

That you should ignore my plays?

Though I'd love some runner-up cash

How I miss that fleeting freedom

From my childhood days.

If I were some 'hero',

I needn't try

But since I'm not some 'hero'

I'll have to

Close my eyes and picture what it's like

I'm just like you,

On the jury

Make one misstep

They'll vote off me

I'm only human

Look at me, I'm only a human being.

I'm just like you

On the jury

Make one misstep

They'll vote off me

I'm only human

Pity me, I'm only a human being.

I still remember his words

How they assaulted me

And made my eardrums hurt.

If I were some 'hero'

I needn't try

But since I'm not some 'hero'

I'll have to

Close my eyes and picture what it's like

I'm just like you

On the jury

Make one misstep.

They'll vote off me.

I'm sure I'm human

Look at me, I'm simply a human being

My tears are real

I'm jealousy

I'm spite, I'm hate

To the core I'm mean

Yet I'm still human

Look at me, I'm another human being

I don't like you,

Bitter jury.

To hell with them

I just need me!

I know I'm human

Pity me, treat me like a human being.

Don't send me home

I couldn't bear the thought of it, now

Don't send me home

I couldn't bear the stress.

Don't vote me out

I couldn't bear the Horror Hearse, now

Vote me, vote me, vote me

Don't vote me, vote me, vote me…"

As Daniel finished his performance, genuine tears were indeed rolling down his cheeks, and even he managed to get some pity applause from the Jury.

Antonio, Kaden, Twilight, and Aleister seemed to like it the most of the judges.

Performance 4: Jaime

"Ahem…" Jaime walked out onto the stage followed by her chosen interns. "Now, the other contestants, they're all going to be singing songs with semi-original lyrics. I, on the other hand, know that I cannot waste this perfect opportunity...so without further ado…"

The music began to start, and the jury immediately caught on with extremely different reactions among them as Jaime started to sing.

We're no strangers to love

You know the rules

And so do I

A full commitment's what I'm thinking of

You wouldn't get this

From any other guy

I

Just wanna tell you how I'm feeling

Gotta make you understand…

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around

And desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie

And hurt you

We've known each other

For so long

Your hearts been aching

But, you're too shy to say it.

Inside we both know

What's been goin' on.

We know the game and we're

Gonna play it.

And

If you ask me how I'm feeling

Don't tell me you're too blind to see

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around

And desert you.

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie

And hurt you.

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around

And desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie

And hurt you

(ooooooh)

(give you up)

(ooooooh)

(give you up)

(ooooooh)

Never gonna give

Never gonna give

(give you up)

(ooooooh)

Never gonna give

Never gonna give

(give you up)

We've known each other

For so long

Your hearts been aching but

You're too shy to say it

Inside we both know

What's been goin' on

We know the game and we're

Gonna play it.

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling

Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around

And desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie

And hurt you.

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around

And desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie

And hurt you.

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around

And desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie

And hurt you."

As the singing faded out, Jaime was met with applause from around half the jury who enjoyed the humor of being Rick Rolled.

Kyle, Antonio, Kaden, Samuel all seemed genuinely to be having a good time with the song. Twilight and Aleister smiled but seemed indifferent, while Lena was very clearly not in a good mood.

Performance 5: Barnard: "Blessed Rains" Parody of "Africa" by Toto

"I hear the Po'ino flames at night

While they hear only whispers

Of alliance conversations

After that vote, I felt alright

Weliweli can brave the storms

Just as well will our creation

Met with my mother before the game

Hoping to hear some relevant advice

Or crafty strategies

And here is what I heard her say

'Barnard, son, adventure waits for you'

It's gonna take a lot

to vote me out of the game

That's something that no logic,

flirts, or lie could ever do

Nui Kaua has blessed rains

Though it's taken time

We've built the team we should've had

The jungle birds cry out, taking flight

As they grow worried of the storm

And leave dwindling company

I'd like to think my path is right

Even as Immolate Mountain rises like

A High Judge above that Final Jury.

I look back at Helen with pride.

Don't have to choose between logic and friends

It's gonna take a lot

To vote me out of the game

That's something that no logic

Flirts, or lie could ever do.

Nui Kaua has blessed rains.

Though it's taken time

We've built the team we should've had."

*Instrumental*

"'Barnard, son, adventure waits for you'

It's gonna take a lot

To vote me out of the game.

That's something that no logic

Flirts or lie could ever do.

Nui Kaua has blessed rains.

This lake has tempestuous rains (has blessed rains)

Nui Kaua has blessed rains (has blessed rains)

This lake has tempestuous rains.

Nui Kaua has blessed rains (Although it's taken time)

Though it's taken time

We've built the team we should've had."

*Instrumental Outro*

As Barnard finished up his performance, he was met with plenty of applause, mainly from Kaden, Samuel, Lena, and Twilight.

Performance 6: Azami: "I'll Win This Game" Parody of "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor

"Before I, uhh, sing…" Azami looked over the jury just a little nervously. "I want to say that this song is mainly directed towards Kaden. I um...I worked really hard on it so...well...Just uh...I'm gonna start now."

She turned towards her chosen interns and began the performance.

"I once was filled with dread

Even nearly cried

I thought that the game would be hard without you at my side

But then on Weliweli's shores

I spent some solitary nights

And now I fight

Knowing that I was always right

And so you're back

Judging this bit

I just walked up upon the stage and I can see your resentment

I don't indulge stupid requests

Wouldn't give up immunity

You'd better not let embarrassment

Help you judge this song poorly

If you do, go.

Walk down the sand

Just turn around now, cause you will never understand!

You're just another who hurled their insults all the same.

Did you think I'd shatter?

Did you think I'd give up this game?

Oh that's so lame!

I'll win this game!

Oh, as long as I can keep it up, I know I'll gather fame!

I've got all this game to play

I've got more friends along the way.

I'll win this game.

I'll win this game, hey hey.

I can see it on your face

That you think I'm worse

But I think you

Don't understand that you broke my heart first.

Did you want me to spend my nights just crying alone by myself?

Sorry, I'm fine

And even having better times!

So here I am!

Azami Hyung!

I'm not just some game quitting loser,

I don't need your love!

And so back when you were voted out

Were you just stuck in a mad trance

Or are you still so bitter that you

Won't give us a second chance?

If you are, go!

Walk down the sand!

Just turn around now, cause you will never understand.

You're just another who hurled their insults all the same.

But you didn't realize

That it was you who was to blame!

Oh that's so lame!

I'll win this game!

Oh, as long as I can keep it up, I know I'll gather fame

I've got all the game to play

I've got more friends along the way

I'll win this game.
I'll win this game.

Oh.

Go on now, go!

Walk down the sand!

Just turn around now, cause you will never understand.

You're just another who hurled their insults all the same.

Did you really like me?

Or was I here for you to tame?

Oh that's so lame!

I'll win this game!

Oh, as long as I can keep it up, I know I'll gather fame.

I've got all this game to play.
I've made more friends along the way.

I'll win this game,

I'll win this game.

I'll win this game!"

*Sax solo*

"I can see it on your face

That you think I'm worse

But I know you

Don't understand that you broke my heart first.

I don't indulge stupid requests, I won't give up immunities.

And I won't cry

Instead I'll rise up towards the sky

You'll all see me!

Azami Hyung!

I'm not just some game-quitting loser

I don't need your love.

And so back when you were voted out

Were you just stuck in a mad trance

Or are you still so bitter that you

Won't give us a second chance?

I hope you'll stay!

Here take my hand!

We can move past this, I just want you to understand!

You didn't realize that your request would break my heart

But if you get me now

Will you give us a brand new start?

Not quite the same!

We'll win this game!

Oh, as long as we can keep it up I know we'll gather fame!

I've got all this game to play

And when I reach that final day

We'll win this game.

We'll win this game!

We'll win this game!"

*Sax solo outro*

As Azami finished the song, she curtseyed to the jury judges before looking up at Kaden hopefully, her eyes watery.

Kaden very clearly had tears streaming down his cheeks as he applauded with the rest of the Jury.

"Wooo!" He even let out a cheer.

Azami gave him a relieved smile.

Antonio, Samuel, and Twilight all also seemed to enjoy the song.

Performance 7: Lucien "Some Votes" Parody of "Just Gold" by MandoPony

"I'm not the main attraction

A story must be told

I just cause chain reactions

They never get old

Some votes, I'll write a name down

Breaking the mold

Some votes are just distractions

Some votes are just gold.

I'm not a villain

I'm just a bit surprising

So please don't lose your sleep.

I'm not worth analyzing.

You should just know

That the final crystal ball.

It's something I want.

But then, don't we all?

Now don't wanna sound rude.

If we talk don't beware.

I'm not the brainiest dude

But there is no need to be scared.

In the beginning

I made your teams worse

But my plan was ruined by the first curse!

Now I'll try a new thing.

As the heavy rain sings.

Ain't going home, I want to become king.

Just gotta glance at the Jury

And say to them two little words…

Vote me.

If you say say that I'm some mastermind

In my opinion, you must be blind.

I'm not the main attraction

A story must be told

I just cause chain reactions

They never get old

Some votes I'll write a name down

Breaking the mold

Some votes are just distractions

Some votes are just gold

You did a good job

Voting off Vampires

It gets rid of all our real threats

And takes us higher

If you oppose me

You might think you're brave.

When faced with one blonde friendly

Idiot you'd never cave!

That's what I'm about

Don't make me shout

No more facts are left give out

Now you've been taught everything.

'Bout my island fling.

And the final vote will be a blowout.

Consider me for this grand opportunity.

Please reward me with immunity.

Take it with pride

I'll enjoy the ride.

I'm a permanent member of this community.

You think I'm playing games with your mind (it's all in your mind)

But in the end, I think that you will find

You are the main attractions

Your stories must be told

You go through chain reactions

They never get old.

Some votes we all write names down

Breaking the mold

Some votes are just distractions

Some votes are just gold

You are the main attractions

Your stories must be told

You go through chain reactions

They never get old.

Some votes might contain my name

Breaking the mold

Some votes will hand me my fame

Those votes are just gold."

As Lucien finished his performance, the jury was left stunned.

Lena slowly began to clap, followed by Samuel, and Kaden, and Aleister, until the rest of the jury joined in.

Performance 8: Freya: "Valkyrie" Parody of "Daybreak" by Cami-Cat

"Heh." Freya laughed a little nervously. "After Kyle played country songs for me so often it feels a little weird to have our positions switched. Uhm~ anyways~ I hope I can end off this challenge on a good note~!"

Freya took a deep breath and went quiet as the music began.

"(Take a breath)

(Think a sec)

("Be good", that's your test)

Accepted for only one purpose

Just for looks, my plans were worthless

Was eye candy for a sick TV show

Nothing more.

I could try my luck and heel turn

Say 'bye' to that villainous return

But all the sins I've committed

Cannot be ignored.

Game moves forward

Time goes on.

The storms won't yield.

So I must stay strong

I'll rise up higher

And see the sun.

Reach the day where

Valkyrie has won!

No matter how hard I try

I can't change the Banshee that I was.

Even if I happen to find

I'm playing with a nicer cause.

Since Weliweli's nights

A goddess's scythe has wrapped around me

So 'till my time has come

I'll keep fighting like I'm that Valkyrie.

Rather than letting me go clean.

False heroes, they've tried to break me

But I only come out stronger.

Every single time..

I believe I can still win this

If I choose to test my limits

Fly higher until I am a

Valkyrie in her prime

Game moves forward

Time goes on.

It forces me to learn

How it all had gone wrong.

I'll rise up higher (rise up higher)

I'll see the sun. (see the sun)

Reach the day where (Finale)

Valkyrie has won!"

Then, the tempo shifted to a soft, slow ballad tune. Freya sat down at the edge of the stage and addressed the jury directly in the next verse of her song.

"It doesn't matter if I want

myself to be a good woman.

It doesn't change the bloody

Bitchy bitter Banshee that I've been.

I'm so lost at this moment

It's hard to play strategically

But I know that deep down I

Truly wish to be that Valkyrie!"

As the instrumental bridge began, the tempo began to pick back up. Freya gave Kyle a smile and a wink before returning to her standing position to finish the song.

"Since Weliweli's nights

A goddess's scythe has wrapped around me (Game goes forward, Time goes on)

So 'till my time has come

I'll keep fighting like I'm that Valkyrie."

As the song concluded, she dropped the mic to the stage.

The jury went wild.

Kyle, Kaden, Lena, and Twilight enjoyed it most of all.

Location: Po'ino Bonfire Pit

Contestant(s): Azami, Barnard, Daniel, Freya, Jaime, Lucien, Sherwood, Tori

Jury Present: Kyle, Antonio, Kaden, Samuel, Lena, Twilight, Aleister

"We the jury have finished deliberating." Twilight announced as Kaden and Kyle rushed up to Azami and Freya respectively and embraced them.

"I'm so sorry…" Kaden whispered in Azami's ear.

"H-hey, easy…" She patted him on the back. "Just...DON'T pull stuff like that ever again."

"Kyle…" Freya wrapped her arms tightly around him. "I'm trying so hard, but it's sooo not easy…"

"I'm so proud of you." Kyle whispered back to her. "I'm not allowed to talk out loud during them, but I'm cheering you on at every ceremony. You can do this."

"The jury has decided…" Twilight continued.

"The winner of individual immunity is..."

"... Freya. Congrats, Valkyrie. At the very least, you win today."

"Of course…" Lucien noted. "This does seem to prove to the rest of us that Freya is the jury's current favor to win the game."

Murmurs began to circle around the Final 8.

Freya turned to Kyle, her eyes wide.

"Really?"

"I'm not allowed to tell you." Kyle smiled sadly. "But I think it's clear that you might want to make sure you keep that immunity going forward now that Lucien's brought that idea up."

Location: Po'ino Bonfire Elimination Ceremony

Contestant(s): Azami, Barnard, Daniel, Freya, Jaime, Lucien, Sherwood, Tori

Jury Present: Kyle, Antonio, Kaden, Samuel, Lena, Twilight, Aleister

"Freya, immunity must feel pretty good for you right now, huh?" Chris grinned as the other players all gave Freya envious glares.

"Yeah, it's making me feel all sorts of things…" Freya looked around at the others nervously. "I'm glad I have it at the very least." She said as she turned back to Chris.

"Now, before we get into the ceremony proper…" Chris announced. "I have a CURSE to announce!"

"I want it!" Tori's hand shot up. "I want it, I want it!"

"Tori!" Chris smiled. "You've won participation in: The Gambler's Curse!"

"YES!" Tori shot a fist up into the air. "Time to own whatever this curse is! What is it?"

"Very simple…" Chris smiled.

He held up three cards.

"I have with me three cards. On each card is a different number, equalling a sum of cash. One card has $100, one has $10,000, and one has a whopping $500,000 dollars. Here are the cards, A, B, and C. You choose one, then I'll reveal one of the cards you didn't choose, and give you the offer to switch to the last card remaining. What happens afterwards will depend on you."

"Understood!" Tori pointed.

"I choose Card C!"

"Alright then…" Chris grinned. "Allow me then to reveal to you, Card A!"

Chris turned Card A over and revealed the '$10,000' written on it.

"Tori...you have chosen Card C. Card B is still on the table. One of them rewards 500K, the other only a single hundred dollar bill. My question to you is...do you want to switch cards?"

As Tori thought about it, Azami leaned in towards Freya and whispered in her ear.

"Really?" Freya whispered back.

Azami nodded. "I'm serious."

Freya bit her lip.

"I choose..to switch!" Tori announced.

"Good call!" Chris grinned as he revealed Card B to be the $500,000 option. "You've just won yourself half a million...But only...if you agree to leave the game."

Tori pondered for a bit.

"Hm...half a million is pretty hefty...but…Chris!" She stood up. "Tear that card up! I'm aiming for that million at the top!"

As Chris did what Tori asked, Azami nudged Sherwood and whispered in his ear.

Sherwood then relayed the same message to Daniel, who sighed with a shrug.

"Whatever." He whispered back.

"Alright, now that Tori's decided she's all in for that million grand prize…" Chris smiled. "It's time to vote! Let's go backwards alphabetically this time, Tori, you're up first!"

Confessional: Tori

"Sorry Barnard, time for you to go."

End Confessional

Confessional: Sherwood

"This is Azami's way of covering for me I suppose, but I guess you are a bit of a pest."

End Confessional

Confessional: Lucien

"Alright Sherwood, no hard feelings bro, just trying to keep myself from stepping on too many toes at once."

End Confessional

Confessional: Jaime

"Pretty clear choice I think, right?"

End Confessional

Confessional: Freya

"Uhm...hrm...I dunno if...Should I listen to this play or should I ignore it? Oh, who am I kidding? I need to do something crazy like this."

End Confessional

Confessional: Daniel

"I'd rather not right now, but as long as I can latch onto Sherwood like a barnacle, I might as well write down the name he gave me."

End Confessional

Confessional: Barnard

"Alright Sherwood, time for you to go, because it really can't wait. Maybe Azami and Freya can take the lead next challenge."

End Confessional

Confessional: Azami

"Okay, I think I'll have enough. Time to make my own meal ticket!"

End Confessional

"I've tallied the votes…" Chris announced as he came back holding a platter of seven crystal balls.

"Freya, here, take the first one." Chris tossed the first crystal ball to the immune contestant. "Now, the rest of you, when I call your name, come up and receive a crystal ball! If you do not receive a crystal ball, you must immediately board the Coffin of Shame and ride the Horror Hearse out of the island, where you will become the next member of our jury. If any of you have the Curse Tiki and would like to play it, now would be the time to do so."

No one moved even a muscle.

"In that case…" Chris continued with the ceremony. "Azami, Daniel, Jaime."

The three came up and received crystal balls from Chris.

"Lucien…" Chris smiled.

Lucien sighed, relieved, as he walked up to receive his own crystal ball.

"Barnard." Chris announced.

Barnard put a hand to his heart as Chris held out the final crystal ball towards Sherwood and Tori.

"Sherwood, Tori, this is the final crystal ball of the night."

The two looked at each other suspiciously.

"The final crystal ball goes toooo…"

Chris paused for dramatic effect.

...

"... Sherwood." He announced.

"Wow." Tori stood up, and began to clap with a smile.

"Blindsiding me while I'm busy succumbing to my gambling addiction...whoever masterminded that play...bravo. Very well done indeed. A parting request from the gal you defeated: Keep the game fun and interesting okay? I have a feeling that a certain power alliance isn't so powerful anymore."

And with that, Tori hopped in the Coffin of Shame and was driven off of the island, leaving a confused Barnard, a relieved Sherwood, and an incredibly stunned jury.

"And now we're down to our Final 7!" Chris smiled into the camera as Freya went to board a ferry for Weliweli and the other players returned to the merge camp. "What fresh chaos has Azami's blindsiding gambit opened for our players? Can Sherwood ever truly escape the bottom? Where the heck is the Curse Tiki? Find out maybe all or maybe none of these next time!

On Total Drama Nui Kaua!

The Cursed!

Island!"

*Tori's Final Confessional:

"Man, that was one wild ride. Seriously, loved almost every second of it. That last curse...ooooh, it tickled me in places where I love to be tickled. Shame I didn't just drop out when I had the 500K though. Man, could you imagine? But if I did that, willingly quit, I wouldn't get to sit on the Jury! And oh man, after that blindside on me, I so want to see what these guys are gonna do next! I don't even know who to root for, I kind of want them all to win somehow. Yes, all of them. Would I come back for another season? Oh absolutely, but maybe next time with better weather please?"

End Confessional*

AN:

And there she goes.

Tori, you had a great run.

I think, from the way Tori presented and conducted herself in the game, it is evident why I picked her to participate. Every scene she was in was made better for it, and her goals of doing whatever she could, including voting, to make the game more interesting were an absolute blast for me to write. I especially enjoyed her interactions with Sherwood and Lucien, and I hope that you all enjoyed Tori as well.

Having studied her actions throughout the season, Tori receives the status of: Tori.

So like, she's definitely Neutral in terms of the whole hero vs villain scale, but she's not like...she's not Sherwood neutral, you know? She's less of a "don't ruffle anyone's feathers and keep your head down" and more of a "talk with everyone you can and just see where your whims take you." So congrats. Tori gets her own personal status.

Tori's best moment is hard for me to pinpoint, but personally, I want to give it to Lena's elimination. It really cemented Tori as a serious player and proved that she was just as capable of being ruthless and cutthroat as the rest of the competition.

But that's all just my opinion, what do you guys think?

Where the hell is that Curse Tiki?

What do you think the next curse will be?

And as always, thanks for reading!
